I'll be amazed if Josh survives past this year as clearly head coaching is not his thing.

I haven't been impressed with McDaniels. He may be a good assistant coach, but not sure if he's Head Coach material.

Jimmy Garoppolo is out for Sunday's game. IMO if the Raiders were smart, they would start Aidan O'Connell. I feel there is little difference in chances of winning with him or Brian Hoyer. With O'Connell you get to see if his preseason was mirage or signs of good things down the road. Plus, he is young with a possible future while Hoyer is nearing the end of his career.

honestly, their best chance might be with O'Connell and they have nothing to lose if he doesn't work out. They'll likely be drafting a new QB if he flops.

The Raiders announced tonight they will indeed be starting Aidan O'Connell which I think is a good move since Brian Hoyer has not won a game since October of 2016.
Also, following his arrest yesterday, Chandler Jones was released by the Raiders today. I hope Jones gets the help he apparently desperately needs with his recent breakdown.

Mack had 6 sacks against Las Vegas. Do you think he was mad at the Raiders for something?

damn, that was an ugly First Half Hi Actually, it really wasn't that bad: They weren't blown out in the first half at least! The Raiders had a chance to tie late once the Chargers coach went for it on 4th in their own territory AGAIN and didn't make it. I'm surprised that hasn't come back and bit them yet, as they did that against the Vikings last week and nearly lost that one. And against the Browns awhile back but the Browns missed a fairly easy field goal. Herbert threw his first INT this season, but has been MVP material this year otherwise! Todd C WTIC

damn, that was an ugly First Half Hi Actually, it really wasn't that bad: They weren't blown out in the first half at least! It was that bad. I did not say the game was over in the First Half (and I did post later that the Raiders were playing better in the Second Half.) I just said the First Half was ugly and it was ugly. Raiders First half summary: down by 3 scores fumbled twice leading to 2 Chargers scores stupid penalties (see examples below:) stupid penalty example A: cornerback David Long lining up offsides on 3rd down which both took away a Raiders sack and gave the Chargers a new set of downs which led to the Chargers first touchdown. stupid penalty example B: defensive tackle Jerry Tillery’s tackling Herbert out of bounds which got Tillery kicked out of the game and put the Chargers in position to score another first half touchdown The Raiders simply need to play better than this.
