That end of the game safety by the Raiders really meant alot for me as I had the Raiders at -2.5 and they were only leading by 2 with time running out until they made that safety for a 4 point lead which also allowed me to win my afternoon ticket as I also had the Lions at -3 and the Rams at -7.

Unfortunately, I think the Raiders made the right choice today in firing head coach Josh McDaniels and general manager Dave Ziegler.

I also approve of their decision to bench Carappolo in favor of Aidan O'Connell.

Yea MNF was a really bad game for them. They were just lucky that the Lions turned the ball over a couple times on bad plays, and one that I do not think was a TO,and struggled getting in the endzone. Otherwise, the score would have been more lopsided. Hopefully they get the right GM and coach combo like my Lions got right now.

yeah the Raiders looked awful against your Lions, but it was definitely more than just that bad game that led to the ouster of McDaniels and Ziegler

some of the other horrible performances and inexplicable decisions made during the time of McDaniels and Ziegler:

- the way they ousted Derek Carr, only to replace him with Carappolo?

- benching Hunter Renfrow?

- it is one thing to lose decisively against the Lions who this year have only lost to good teams such as the Ravens and Seahawks, but to play that bad the week before against the Bears and a rookie QB making his first-ever start?

- the baffling decision by McDaniels on 4th and 4 while down by 8 against the Steelers with just over two minutes to go to kick a field goal instead of trying to get a first down while only 8 yards away from the opponent's endzone and then his baffling explanation of his stupid decision afterward?

- losing that game to the Colts whose recently-hired head coach Jeff Saturday had never coached a day in his life?

- losing that game to the Rams who used Baker Mayfiekd as their QB just 3 days after Mayfield had signed with the Rams during the season and was still learning the Rams offense?

- the failure to draft well (a tendency seemingly inherited from the Gruden regime)

As a Raiders fan, this has already been a painful season. But at least the ousters of McDaniels and Ziegler provides me with some hope for the future.

Here in Las Vegas, lots of speculation in the press that the next Raiders coach might be Michigan's Jim Harbaugh.

Harbaugh started his coaching career with the Raiders (he was their QB coach back in 2002-2003) and he is currently wrapped up in this NCAA investigation into alleged sign stealing.

As a Raiders fan, I would gladly take Harbaugh returning to the silver and black as he has won everywhere he has coached.

Not to mention the recent controversy surrounding him kind of fits that rebel, bad guy Raider's image.

I'd like them to give Pierce a chance if he does well with the remaining season.

This coming Tuesday, the high school where I teach at is competing for a Nevada state championship in football at the Raiders' Alegiant Stadium. I don't think I will be able to go to this game however as it is happening at the time my parents are landing in Las Vegas for their annual trip here for Thanksgiving weekend which is also their Anniversary.

Thanks! We are going to Mon Ami Gabi at the Paris for Thanksgiving dinner and we also have tickets to a show at the new Sphere venue.
