I did not go to the game today but we did win the state championship in football at the 4A level (we return to 5A in football next year.) Our first year head coach is D.J. Campbell who played in the NFL for the Panthers, Dolphins, 49ers, and Cardinals. I realize the state championships at Allegiant Stadium have to be played on a weekday as UNLV and the Raiders obviously have priority on the weekends, but scheduling the game for the night we start Thanksgiving Break (the holiday which is annually the busiest travel period of the year) was a bad idea IMO as otherwise I would have attended the game. When my parents arrrived at my place tonight (my kitten Ahsoka ran and hid under the bed unfortunately) my mom said she found one of my old cards back at the house in Seattle and out of her purse she gave me my old Barry Sanders Pro Set rookie card, it was good to see that card again as I thought I lost it years ago. |

Raiders off to a hot start going up 21-0 in the first. Just like the Lions did against the Saints. I just hope the Raiders do not follow the rest of the Lions game lol.

Where were these Raiders last week against the Vikings. If the Vikings played like this last week and beat the Vikings, my Lions could have used that.

Raiders off to a hot start going up 21-0 in the first. Just like the Lions did against the Saints. I just hope the Raiders do not follow the rest of the Lions game lol. Good for the Raiders! I had to work late tonight as we are finishing the semester at work tomorrow so I was unable to get to the casino in time to bet on them tonight (which I wanted to once it was confirmed Herbert is out.) I am still at the casino now as I placed 3 parlays for this weekend’s games, saw the new movie Wonka, and picked up a sandwich for lunch tomorrow and I am now finishing a beer I got from a drink ticket from placing those bets. Despite tonight’s resounding victory, the Raiders still need a new coach and probably a new QB too IMO. |

I hope the Raiders ride with Pierce for now, the players are behind them and besides the Minnesota game they have played better under him. O'Connell looked a lot better last night. Granted that was against a Dolts team that looked like they gave up. I'm fine with him for now, |

Nice win over the Chiefs. More than ever, they should lock up Pierce. If I am not mistaken, although they can of course ultimately keep Pierce if he is their choice, the Raiders are first required by the NFL after the season to open the head coaching position to outside candidates including interviewing at least two outside minority or female candidates. I do think firing McDaniels was the correct move and I am definitley open to keeping Pierce (partly depending on who becomes available.) |
