I've heard a rumor that Roderick Strong is leaving ROH soon. Anybody else heard this? Any reasoning for this? Is he going elsewhere?

He is supposedly disgruntled about dropping the TV title to Ishii at the last minute and, in general, the attention being given to the NJPW guys (a sentiment rumored to echo in the ROH locker room). I also heard he thought he should be able to go to Japan and do Bullet Club stuff instead of Adam Page (I agree). Who knows? Maybe some of this is credible. The idea is that he may go to EVOLVE. Cedric Alexander has already done so. I think there may be a growing misconception that EVOLVE is going to be the surefire way to NXT. The thing with Strong, and especially Alexander, is they have a great work rate but are not 'entertainers'. The idea that EVOLVE will somehow overcome that is silly. Strong's contract is up soon so we'll see. So is Moose's. Now him I see getting gobbled up by WWE.

I have always enjoyed Roderick Strong but I could never see him in WWE. He seems like he will fit in fine with EVOLVE and I'm sure he can get plenty of indy dates to pay his bills. I'm sure he could get some work in Japan too but he doesn't fit the Bullet Club mold in my opinion. Adam Cole seems like a much better choice.
Thanks for the info.

It was reported the night of Global Wars that he's considering leaving when his deal is up around June or July. I don't blame him or anyone else in ROH for being upset with how much focus is on New Japan when those guys are brought in and treated like the real stars and the ROH guys are clearly second place. New Japan can get away with bullying ROH in a way they never could have with WCW or even TNA, it's kind of incredible to me. I have always enjoyed Roderick Strong but I could never see him in WWE. I'd like to see him back in Evolve, for sure.
