Obviously the New day vs. Wyatt encounter this past Monday was inspired by the Hardy's Final Deletion Match on the Hardy property. Which did you like better if either?

I personally found the Final Deletion match much more entertaining, hence it gets my vote.

I think the Compound one was better mostly because it didn't feel completely ridiculous with stuff like Final Deletion had, like the drone army with holograms, and the whole thing with Matt Hardy riding the lawn mower. It also wasn't a feud-ending match, like Final Deletion was, meaning that TNA is the first promotion to settle a main event feud with a backyard wrestling match.

OK cool, glad to have a differing opinion on it. I knew some people would like the New Day-Wyatt piece better, and I'm completely fine with people having that opinion. I'll let you know why it didn't work for me. First off, I am completely fine and am actually a fan of ridiculous stuff in wrestling, so that about the Final Deletion was more of a positive than a negative for me (but I realize not every wrestling fan is like that). With the New Day involved I was hoping there would be some humor, since thats what they are best at...and there was none. Also, the whole brawl seemed to have no point to it, as no team really got the better of each other at the end. If anything it maybe made the Wyatts look weak to be pinned back on their own home turf to generally less threatening guys, who only ran away once a bunch of backup came. What the segment was vs what it could have been just came up short IMO.

There was nothing remotely memorable about it except MAYBE the very end where the Wyatt army appeared and apparently scared the New Day off, though the New Day escaping wasn't shown and their car was smashed so it would seem impossible for them to escape. It would have made much more sense for them to have been captured and have segments of what the Wyatt Family is subjecting them to on the compound over the next few weeks, leading up to a grand escape and an ultimate 6-man match. Also, the Final Deletion match will likely not end up being the end of that feud.

What the segment was vs what it could have been just came up short IMO. I honestly didn't expect a lot of humor when it came to them going to the Wyatt Compound. Like Bray said when inviting them, it was all about showing them that positivity doesn't exist. At least the Wyatt Compound thing is furthering the story rather then concluding it, with the big overarching plot being Xavier Woods' Wyattophobia (my word for fear of the Wyatt Family) Also, a big thing for me is that after WrestleMania, I felt like the Wyatts could NEVER be perceived as a credible threat ever again. This was something I felt they needed. It reminds you that Wyatt is a backwoods cult leader with an army of followers at his beck and call. It was meant to be more of a mental victory than a physical one, though the Wyatts DO need some more physical victories, I'll concede that. When I first saw the hype package for it on TNA's YouTube page, I was like "Is TNA featuring a glorified backyard wrestling match as their main event?" A lot of the stuff they did in the match itself is, how I feel anyway, what a lot of fans would laugh at and mock if it was a bunch of random nobodies backyard wrestling on YouTube for like 20 views. I probably wouldn't be as hard on The Final Deletion as I am if it wasn't the blow-off match to a main event feud. Yes, there can be ridiculous things in wrestling, but the whole thing felt beyond hokey by comparison, like the army of drones, the hologram of Broken Matt, or whatever he's known as now (Don't really have the capabilities to watch TNA because of their moving stations, so I had to watch the entire Final Deletion stuff online) and that whole thing with Matt driving the lawn mower, and this is meant to be the serious conclusion to their biggest feud. If it was this, THEN the I Quit Match, then maybe quite a few of my problems would be mitigated.

I liked the New Day-Watt compound piece... but, I think what it was more designed to be a preview into a ppv match than an actually fight piece. So for that purpose, I was fine with it. I do applaud WWE for doing it as they are trying things outside their normal stick. Kinda like they are doing with the Crusierweight Classic bringing in the indie wrestlers... who would have ever thought they would have done something like this? So I got to praise them for trying.

I finally had a chance to watch both. I'm more of a Bray Wyatt fan, especially this version of Wyatt, so I really liked that segment. The only sad part for me was not seeing Luke Harper around as he would have been fun to watch there. However I will say that I voted for Final Deletion because it was just so over the top and pretty funny in spots. I lost it when Jeff was in his house playing guitar and the drones flew in and he started taking them out. The Matt Hardy hologram was classic as were the fireworks spots in the actual match. Matt hiding behind the dilapidated boat deflecting the fireworks will never not be funny. We also got Brother Nero out of all this. TNA has been off of my radar for a long time but I was dragged back in to watch Final Deletion. Not sure if I will stick with watching anything TNA but credit the Hardy's for bringing their A game with Final Deletion.
