With the stat tracker being unable to have "working dates" beyond 2130, I'm realizing that I'm going to need to develop my own way to track wins/losses and rank wrestlers. Before I get too far into the project, I was curious what other promoters use in their feds? I'd like something that takes into account opponent, weighs recent matches more heavily, etc. (Much like a college football computer rankings). I'm willing to purchase a program if there's one already developed so I can save the time/effort.
Thanks!

Said this before - Split the pack into faces/heels lists . Winners stay on/where they are and losers go to the bottom . Might have say 5 single matches top 5 faces & heels at chosen . First pick out any feuds . What is left randomly pick matches ? . Like I say winners stay where they are and losers to the bottom . If say Heavyweight champion is a face . The top heel on list is his next challenger ? NO matter who he is .

I usually go by wins/losses/quality of opponents or just have rankings tournaments.

Hi Steef,
I use this formula:
I assign ratings points based on how well they perform. Wrestlers with higher ratings points become number one contenders.
One on One Matches:
The winner gets 20 points minus any non add 1 tokens accumulated between the two wrestlers. Thats for a dq / count out win. If its a clean win - multiply that number by two.
The loser gets the same amount of points that the winner earned - subtracted from his ratings points.
Tag Team Matches are the same, just start with 40 points.
Hope this helps. Works for me.
Bri.

Hey Walkswithwolf (Great name by the way!),
No probs at all, for example lets say Harley Race and Nick Bockwinkel have just had a match with the following results:
Harley Race wins via disqualification.
Harley Race had three tokens at the end of the match and Nick Bockwinkel had two.
Since Harley Race won by dq I would award him 15 points for a dq win (20 points to start - minus the three tokens Race had = 17 minus the two tokens Bockwinkel had = 15 points). Bockwinkel would lose 15 points (because it was a dq loss).
But if Race won cleanly, (using the above amount of tokens) I would award him 30 points (the 15 points above times two because it was a clean win) and subtract 30 from Bockwinkel (because it was a clean loss).
I have the wrestlers wrestle the same amount of times so all have a fair shot at earning points.
The wrestler or team with the most points after all have wrestled once gets the title shot.
Its like running a fed more like a league, but I like this method because the wrestlers themselves earn the title shots, not via my choices.
At the end of each round where each wrestler or team all wrestle once, I see who worked themselves into the number one contender spot, and the title matches are the first matches of the next round.

No worries my friend.
I've played a few rpgs before, but not that one.
I'll have to check that one out though.
Still a great name 😊

Question for bri - For those of us that may have draws in our fed, like me, how do you propose the points be distributed?

Hi elscotto,
Sorry, meant to mention that. With the system I use, if theres a time limit draw or double dq, neither wrestler or teams would get any points.
