Condolences, Vegas. Hopefully the Knights give you a nice reward.

I hate to say it, but (no excuses) Washington was the better team tonight again.

Should have been a shut out, if not for one boneheaded play by Braden Holtby. He was brilliant other than that one faux pas.

Rough loss for Vegas. Caps may just be too much.

Rough loss for Vegas. Caps may just be too much. At this point I have to agree with this statement. With the way the Capitals are playing right now I can't see Vegas winning three straight games. At the very least they take the next game in Vegas to force Game 6.

If the object was to hit the post, the Knights would be undefeated. Tough break with that early 1st period shot at the open net. They still have a chance, but it'll be uphill the entire way.

While Washington was again the better team last night, overall the Golden Knights have actually been playing better than these game scores and the 3-1 series indicates. Nevertheless, VGK definitely has their backs up against the wall as the last 31 NHL teams leading 3-1 in a series has won that series. Yet we are talking about a team here that started off the year 500-1 and won the Western Conference, so I am not counting my team out.

I will say I think they have a better chance than Cleveland does.

They've just had some tough breaks, especially that shot on the open net early in Game 4. Hopefully they can make a comeback, but they still achieved a lot just by making it this far.

Looking back, maybe we all should have wished for the Tampa Bay Lightning to beat the Capitals in the last round, eh Vegas? Congrats to Washington on winning their first Stanley Cup in Franchise history, and Congratulations to the VEGAS GOLDEN KNIGHTS on setting a professional sports record that I highly doubt any of us will see broken in our lifetime. On a side note I do believe Vegas, despite losing 4 straight in the finals set the record for most playoff wins by a team in their first year of existence, back when the League expanded from 6-12 Teams and the St. Louis Blues competed for the Cup the Playoffs were only 3 rounds and St. Louis only won 8 Games in the Playoffs. Vegas this year won 13 over four rounds. Maybe Florida won more the first time they made the playoffs, but by that time they'd already been around for several years. Here's to the 2018-19 Season and Vegas making even more history in their 2nd year of life.
