Yeah, congrats to both teams. No one would probably have picked what happened but it was a fun if short series.

The Knights should be proud of their accomplishment and have NOTHING to hang their heads about. Hell, my team has been an expansion team for 18 years now and has NEVER even sniffed the cup.

Zeke, Great season for the VGK.....time to switch the focus to our first place Seattle Mariners! Still seems weird to type that.

Zeke, Great season for the VGK.....time to switch the focus to our first place Seattle Mariners! Still seems weird to type that. after work today, I actually watched all 9 innings of Seattle/Tampa Bay in the background while doing some work. I do not think the Mariners will be able to hold off the Astros, but they could still make the playoffs this year for the first time since 2001.

Last night was a true heartbreaker- actually one of the most heartbreaking nights ever for me as a sports fan because I have never ever been prouder of one of my teams than I was for my first year Golden Knights. No excuses, Washington was the better team and deserved to win their first Stanley Cup. I usually really enjoy stories like Washington, but just not so much when it is at the expense of my team lol. But congrats to Washington, they earned the Stanley Cup outright. Even though we did not win the Stanley Cup, I am thankful to have a team. Who thought they would win the Western Conference Championship this year? Although I was only able to attend 4 games, watching hockey has become my favorite thing to do on the Strip, T-Mobile Arena is incredible. It was also great to see VGK prove the viability of Las Vegas as a hockey market and I think the addition of VGK to the league is a good thing for the NHL in general. Thank you to VGK for a great season!

Congrats to the Caps on winning the cup. That being said, Las Vegas had a hell of a first season. And while I was hoping the finals went all 7 games, it was still enjoyable. The only sad part is having to wait until October for the next season.

Thank you to VGK for a great season! It was truly a remarkable season for VGK. I hear you on not being able to enjoy the Caps story. It was why I cheered for Vegas until the Finals when I couldn’t do it anymore. It was amazing seeing the Caps breakthrough after so many years of expectations and heartbreaking failures. I think Vegas is in good hands. McPhee built important pieces here. In hockey, a good goaltender always gives you a fighting chance and Vegas has one of the best. I really liked Schmidt here and think they’ll be in the hunt moving forward. Amazing season for a team in their first year.

Vegas if we can say anything it is that the Golden Knights had one heck of a debut season. Absolutely incredible. I wish the Cup would have gone on a bit longer but the Caps really stepped it up and congrats to them for winning their first Stanley Cup in franchise history. The Golden Knights did make history as well in their first season and it will be cool to see what they do for an encore.

So Vegas what are the chances Vegas keeps either Dave Perron & James Neal or both? Any speculation the local Media? As far as I know those are the only two Unrestricted Free Agents they have on the books coming into the end of this years contracts.
