So happy Raines made it. He was my favorite player when I was younger. I have my fingers crossed for Martinez but there's a lot of ground still to make and Clemens and Bonds are getting more support from the looks of things.
Also congrats to Bagwell and Rodriguez.

Was hoping Trevor Hoffman and Vlad Guerrero would have made it in. Vlad was a monster with a bat and Trevor was nuts out of the bullpen. Maybe next year. I do hope Clemens and Bonds make it in. Seems crazy that the home run king and the filthiest pitcher since Ryan are not in. Yeah I know they did steroids, but so did a lot guys during that time and they were well above everyone in terms of talent. I guess Maguire and Sosa should make that list too, because of them Baseball became relevant again, something has got to be said for that. Plus if Bud gets in, all notables of that time should get in. I'm also in the Pete Rose needs to be in the hall club. But what do I know? I just figure if you were great you get in. And how is it that Jack Morris is not in the hall? That guy was so fearsome when he pitched. Does that mean Doc Halladay isn't going to get in? Baseball hall of fame makes me crazy. I'm just glad Raines got in, that guy was a stud.

I'm sure Trevor and Vlad will make it next year. Haven't had five guys make it since the original class but the possibility is going to exist for the next couple years.

I'm thinking with that big of a jump.......Edgar gets in next year! Go Ms! I really hope so, but I definitely think Edgar would have been greatly helped if Trevor Hoffman and Vladimir Guerrero who got 74% and 71% of the vote had both gotten elected this year as it would have freed up two spots for the voters next year when they cast their 10 vote limit. But glad to hear yesterday that Edgar will become just the 2nd Mariners player after Ken Griffey Jr.to get this number retired next season. Edgar played all 18 of his seasons with the Mariners and finished his career 1st in games played, runs, and RBIs, and 2nd in home runs and hits.

Edgar should no doubt be a Hall of Famer. Any votes going to guys like Bonds or Clemens should automatically be give to guys like Martinez and Vlad who played the game the right way and the CLEAN way!

I agree, but I think we will see one or two of the steroid era guys make the HOF with the changing of the voter guard...

I agree, but I think we will see one or two of the steroid era guys make the HOF with the changing of the voter guard... We most definitely will. The inclusion of guys like Piazza, Pudge and Bagwell, who people had "suspicions" about to be begin with, are a sign pointing us in the direction of the eventual inclusion of guys like Bonds & Clemens. Makes me sick, but hey, when the guy who presided over the whole mess and turned a blind eye to it because asses were being put in seats makes the HOF, what else would anyone expect? Just upsets me when the LEGIT so-called "borderline" guys (Edgar, Mussina, etc.) lose votes to the "cheaters". Honestly don't know if I personally will ever be able to move past how tainted the sport once was. Never felt so cheated by anything else in my life as a sports fan. LOVED Jason Giambi & Clemens, was enthralled by McGwire & Sosa's chase of Maris, and all of it was BS. Tough pill to swallow.

I understand and honestly I never was into the whole McGwire & Sosa chase, but I agree it sucked how they tainted the sport. I have to say though I am glad Bagwell got in, but I see the Baseball HOF like the Rock-n-Roll HOF, it's become a joke...
