I was very sorry to hear the sad news about George "The Animal" Steele. Steele wrestled the Macho Man on the very first wrestling show I ever attended back in early 1986 and I got to meet him back in 2012 at an autograph signing I attended with Toasterboy where Steele autographed my copy of his LOW card. Steele will live on in my LOW fed though as I am looking forward to his eventual LOW color card. RIP.

Here's hoping heaven is filled with tasty turnbuckle pads.
RIP Jim Myers, aka George Steele.

A very sad time for us wrestling fans losing both George Steele and Ivan Koloff, not to mention Chavo Guerrero Jr. and the others who have passed recently. I first saw Steele circa 1981 and what a blast watching him. My favorite moments from that time were him dislocating the arm of a preliminary opponent (Rick Bolton?) and also briefly teaming with Killer Khan for some televised matches. I knew about Ivan Koloff through the magazines but living in WWF territory I didn't get to see him until 1983 when he showed up for another run in the area. Such great memories of these guys. RIP.

it is sad, but at least Steele and Koloff lived long lives compared to so many premature deaths in wrestling.
