I understand things like this happen and I don't blame anyone. I am just pointing out that if we had a downloadable game, we would still be able to play Legends or CoTG on the computer.

You will have to do some digging but I think there was someone who made a downloadable table top version. I think it was 2010 or some time around there. I never played it but I remember it floating around here, it may have even been the precursor to the current online system. Anyone else have the old table top computer version?

I've got the program you're talking about. It's called COTG Desktop and it was created by the now-defunct Kinsman Games. The creator of the program supposedly went on to help develop the Filsinger Games Online system, as most of its early features are being used in FG Online, such as the create-a-wrestler mode. Unfortunately, nobody's really supposed to talk about it since it's not an officially Filsinger Games-endorsed product. If you still want a copy of it, it can be found on the SourceForge site (I'm providing the link below). COTG Desktop (defunct early Filsinger Games Online clone)This should suffice until an official version is (or isn't) developed in the near future.

Thanks for that Barnestormer, however that's a very early stages type setup.. Only one chart i can see, everything would have to be done manually...etc.. I don't think if the online went down for good that this would be suitable. Maybe for singles matches..
It also shows that it is possible. It would just take effort.. I honestly don't know if FG could afford a proper offline computer system.

You had to manually enter everything yourself. I definitely liked it at the time. FYI... Don't be surprised if some of these posts get removed since that program is a kind of competition to COTG Online.

I understand; I personally won't find much use of that program unless i was in a pinch...One of the things that draws me to online is less work involved.. its basically click and play even though it has its flaws.
Overall point of FG making an offical offline computer version is a good one.
I do wonder if the FG team has thought of a way to do it.

Yes, but it would cost money that likely they don't want to invest. This is a very small company after all and a true computer game is probably too expensive unless they could get a kickstarter funded.

Honestly, I am totally fine with the online game in its current form... With one exception - Too much downtime... There's nothing more disheartening than having a nice chunk of time set aside to play and then not being able to due to problems with the site... Of they could remedy that situation - Ensure the game is playable when I want to play it - I would seriously be the happiest customer on the planet... Without a doubt!

is there alot of downtime besides what happened recently? One of the problems i have is slow down online but not really problems with the site other than that.. re. Troy. I realize its expensive undertaking to do.. Even just having the interface and setup of a table where it works correctly is probably too much to invest in.
