What? No talk about one of the greatest Super Bowls ever?
I'm not even a Patriots fan, and know it was a great comeback!
And of course as a fan of Lady Gaga, didn't she do a great job? After the halftime show, I thought it looked like a Pepsi commercial, and then I heard "The halftime show sponsored by Pepsi", hey, I was right, haha!
Anyway, the Falcons self-imploded there at the end when all they needed was a field goal to tie things up, yet found a way to lose the game. You can't play the Patriots on the biggest stage in football for only 44 minutes and expect to win. It reminds me of the Chargers playoff game vs the Dolphins (in what has become known as The Epic in Miami). Chargers TE Kellen Winslow stated that the Chargers bench was celebrating a 24 - 0 lead in the first quarter in that game, all except WR Charlie Joiner. Joiner says to Winslow, "You don't do that to the Dolphins. You don't do that to a Don Shula-led team, not in Miami. Shula is going to put in (back-up QB) Don Strock, and we're going to be here ALL DAY!" How right Joiner was!
You don't go up 25 points against a Bellichek-led team in the Super Bowl and not expect that team to lay over and play dead. Not by a long shot, especially with enough time left on the clock!
And yeah, I had to bring up that Chargers reference (NATURALLY), LOL!
