SATURDAY NIGHT INVASION JANUARY 16
ASTRO TURK VS TRAINER JIM Astro Turk reversed an atomic drop and hit the Astro Hammer to score the pin. WINNER OF THE MATCH: ASTRO TURK
GHENGIS KHAN w/MUTANT VS COMMANDER SAM A botched interference from Mutant led to SAM' ATOMIC DROP for the 1-2-3. Khan and Mutant then attacked Sam after the bell but the Titan Express came out and rid the ring of Khan and Mutant with Khan suffering the DRAGON DROP from Dragonmaster. WINNER OF THE MATCH: COMMANDER SAM
ACTAGON w/SOLARIS VS ROYAL OVERLORD Actagon with the easy win via the GRECIAN SLEEPER GRIP. WINNER OF THE MATCH: ACTAGON
TOMBSTONE w/MUTANT VS THE SAVAGE ONES Krakan took one helluva beating (6 tokens) but timely pin saves from Death's Head saved the match. DH then dropped Terak with the FUNERAL MARCH. Krakan ordered Death's Head to do more damage but they cut off by TitanPower and Death's Head got a taste of the TKO. WINNERS OF THE MATCH: TOMBSTONE
TITANPOWER AND QUASAR w/TRAINER JIM VS THE MASKED ASSASSINS The Titans were dominant in this clash and Lord Nexus pinned Darkos with the TITAN DROP. WINNERS OF THE MATCH: TITANPOWER AND QUASAR
ANIMAL PACK AND SOLDIER OF FORTUNE w/AMAZONIA VS THE GLADIATORS AND MAYHEM w/THE GUARDSMAN Soldier of Fortune does his part, pinning Mayhem following a flying cannon. But the Cosmic Forces and Dreadnaught hit the ring and Soldier of Fortune again falls victim to the GUIDED MISSILE. WINNERS OF THE MATCH: ANIMAL PACK AND SOLDIER OF FORTUNE
INTERPLANETARY TAG TEAM TITLE MATCH THE ADVANCE GUARD(C) w/THE COLLECTOR VS REVOLUTION To no one's surprise, Cannibal is disqualified for using the +2 THROAT SLIT on King Lear to keep the belts. WINNERS OF THE MATCH AS A RESULT OF A DISQUALIFICATION: REVOLUTION. THE ADVANCE GUARD RETAINS THE INTERPLANETARY TAG TEAM TITLES

He didn't win, but the post match attack by Khan and Mutant is fitting. I would think Khan would want a match with the Dragonmaster for laying his hands on him...

THE GLADIATORS AND SPIKE VS THE GREEK GODS AND LANCE AT-LAS Brute and Massacre against Proteus and Actagon! The original tag team war! Throw in Spike and Lance At-Las and we should have a great one here.

MONDAY NIGHT WAR GAMES JANUARY 18 THE SAVAGE ONES VS STUD CITY Stunning result as neither Vanity nor Sectarian tag into the match. Terak catches Mr Galaxy with the BARBARIAN SHUFFLE and just like that it's over. The Savage Ones don't get to celebrate much as Vanity clubs Terak from behind and then sprays cologne in Sectarian's face. Stud City goes on the attack but is interrupted by the Freedom Fighters. Vanity makes his escape but Mr Galaxy is caught in the SUPERPOWER SUMMIT. WINNERS OF THE MATCH: THE SAVAGE ONES
TITANPOWER AND QASAR w/TRAINER JIM VS THE MASKED ASSASSINS The most nexpected intense feud right now is the Assassins and the Savage Kingdom. This time it is the Savage Kingdom jumping in and brawling with the Assassins. WINNERS OF THE MATCH AS A RESULT OF A DISQUALIICATION: THE MASKED ASSASSINS
THE GLADIATORS AND SPIKE w/THE GUARDSMAN VS THE GREEK GODS AND LANCE AT-LAS w/SOLARIS The Gladiators were at the top of their violence game (Proteus 6 tokens, Lance At-Las 5 tokens) but they took things too far. But didn't seem to care. WINNERS OF THE MATCH AS A RESULT OF A DISQUALIFICATION: THE GREEK GODS AND LANCE AT-LAS
INFINITY w/MAGNUS COLBY VS THE TITAN EXPRESS w/TRAINER JIM Before the match. Ghengis Khan had some harsh words about Dragonmaster daring to lay his hands on Khan. The Eastern Dynasty interferes and brawls with the Titans. A furious Thantos confronts Krakan afterwards and tells him to keep his men out of the Gamemaster's business! WINNERS OF THE MATCH AS A RESULT OF A DISQUALIFICATION: THE TITAN EXPRESS
MAYHEM w/THE GUARDSMAN VS SOLDIER OF FORTUNE w/AMAZONIA In a very tough back and fort battle (both wrestlers got 4 tokens), Mayhem came away victorious with the DANGER ZONE. WINNER OF THE MATCH: MAYHEM
THE ROYAL PALACE w/ROYAL OVERLORD VS THE KING'S COURT The Court's civil war had its first official battle. Count Necros and Killer Queen both took lots of damage (4 tokens each) but Necros got the Sudden Death points for his team with the Nail Eye Raker on King Lear. However, the fight did not stop at the bell and Mesmer gave Count Necros a post-match BLACKOUT that left the alleged vampire dictator out could! WINNERS OF THE MATCH: THE ROYAL PALACE
THE KEEPERS OF THE STONE AND MATADOR OF M83 w/MAGNUS COLBY VS ANIMAL PACK AND WOLF w/AMAZONIA The competition was good but Wolf got worn down and was caught by the DIVIDE AND CONQUER as Scourge scored the 3 count. WINNERS OF THE MATCH: THE KEEPERS OF THE STONE AND MATADOR OF M83
THE COSMIC FORCES w/DOOMSAYER VS THE NEW ORDER w/DESTRUCTION 3000 Another great match ruined by yet another disqualification. I'm so sick of the DQs this card I'm not even making a story reason this DQ happened other than the Game Table dice sucked this entire card! WINNERS OF THE MATCH AS A RESULT OF A DISQUALIFICATION: THE COSMIC FORCES

SATURDAY NIGHT INVASION PREVIEW FOR JANUARY 23
MAD JESTER VS COMMANDER SAM Should be a tune-up for the Jester one week before Deimos Perennial 94.
US PATRIOT VS REYNARD B GUILE The same for US Patriot.
TOMBSTONE VS METEOR STORM And for Tombstone.
THE MASKED ASSASSINS VS THE KING'S COURT This should be a good one. If the Savage Kingdom stays out of things. The Assassins and the Savage Kingdom are constantly interfering in each other's matches.
ANIMAL PACK AND IRON MANE VS THE GLADIATORS AND MAYHEM Another great showdown between the AniMen and the Gladiators.
NONTITLE MATCH THE ADVANCE GUARD VS TITANPOWER TitanPower was the last team to take the Interplanetary Tag Team Titles away from the Advance Guard. They will be looking to gain a title shot here.
CHAMPION VS CHAMPION ALPHA FORCE VS MATADOR OF M83 The Galaxian Heavyweight Champion against the Interplanetary Heavyweight Champion with Sudden Death Feud points on the line as well.

SATURDAY NIGHT INVASION PREVIEW FOR JANUARY 23 MAD JESTER VS COMMANDER SAMShould be a tune-up for the Jester one week before Deimos Perennial 94. Fully expecting Jester to get disqualified here.US PATRIOT VS REYNARD B GUILE The same for US Patriot. TOMBSTONE VS METEOR STORM And for Tombstone. THE MASKED ASSASSINS VS THE KING'S COURTThis should be a good one. If the Savage Kingdom stays out of things. The Assassins and the Savage Kingdom are constantly interfering in each other's matches. ANIMAL PACK AND IRON MANE VS THE GLADIATORS AND MAYHEMAnother great showdown between the AniMen and the Gladiators. Difficult one to pick, but I think Aethran aggression will prevail.NONTITLE MATCH THE ADVANCE GUARD VS TITANPOWERTitanPower was the last team to take the Interplanetary Tag Team Titles away from the Advance Guard. They will be looking to gain a title shot here. CHAMPION VS CHAMPION ALPHA FORCE VS MATADOR OF M83 The Galaxian Heavyweight Champion against the Interplanetary Heavyweight Champion with Sudden Death Feud points on the line as well. Would love to see Matador win this one - Probably won't happen though.Unfortunate that there were so many DQ finishes on that last card... Sometimes the dice can frustrate our imagination, to be sure... Still, looking forward to the Deimos Perennial... Fun times!

I've had those cards where I've thrown up my hands in defeat to the dreaded DQ.....I just played one the other day where the majority of matches ended that way even with rolling twice for disqualifications. There can only be so many run-ins!

SATURDAY NIGHT INVASION JANUARY 23
MAD JESTER w/ROYAL OVERLORD VS COMMANDER SAM One move! Sam used his power advantage to reverse an atomic drop into a skullcrusher and beat the Jester. WINNER OF THE MATCH: COMMANDER SAM
US PATRIOT w/SWEET THING VS REYNARD B GUILE What just happened! Patriot took a tumble out of the ring and then Guile gave him the Snap Snare followed by the GAMEKEEPER TRAP and Patriot was dealt a humiliating defeat. WINNER OF THE MATCH: REYNARD B GUILE
TOMBSTONE w/MUTANT VS METEOR STORM Krakan would not allow his team to be embarrassed like Jester and Patriot had been. Black Hole Bart was beaten up from the very beginning, never getting to tag out, took the FUNERAL MARCH and the HITMAN'S CARD before being tossed out of the ring like yesterday's garbage. WINNERS OF THE MATCH: TOMBSTONE
THE MASKED ASSASSINS VS THE KING'S COURT This was a competitive match but eventually Killer Queen had taken too much punishment (3 tokens) and Darkos put him away with the Thespian Hammer. WINNERS OF THE MATCH: THE MASKED ASSASSINS
ANIMAL PACK AND IRON MANE w/AMAZONIA VS THE GLADIATORS AND MAYHEM w/THE GUARDSMAN And the excitement raised the roof as the Invasion crowd got to witness these two teams collide again. And they got the typical out of control brawl that usually happens when these two teams clash. Incredible Badger took a tough beating (4 tokens) but eventually all six wrestlers were in the ring brawling and the ref had to toss the match out. THERE WAS NO WINNER
THE ADVANCE GUARD w/THE COLLECTOR VS TITANPOWER w/TRAINER JIM Following the previous match, the fans were buzzing and the fans of the more hardcore wrestlers were especially vocal in their support of Cannibal in this match. The Collector's men attacked from the opening bell and worked Billy Jo Boxer over (3 tokens). But the Titans fought back and Boxer ended up pinning Chopper Mattock following the TKO. WINNERS OF THE MATCH: TITANPOWER
ALPHA FORCE w/OMEGA VS MATADOR OF M83 w/MAGNUS COLBY Galaxian Heavyweight Champion vs Interplanetary Heavyweight Champion. Two wrestlers that know each other extremely well. Two of the best athletes in the GWF. Matador seemed to get the upper hand for the most part but Chaos would interfere and cost Matador the match. Star Warrior came out but was intercepted by Thantos. Matador was able to drop Alpha Force with the BULLWHIP before Lance At-Las came in to even the sides. At-Las then said he would take the IP title from Matador at Deimos Perennial. WINNER OF THE MATCH AS A RESULT OF A DISQUALIFICATION: ALPHA FORCE

INVASION RECAP AND WAR GAMES PREVIEW I don't know how much I can take of this. Ellner Shockett has become unbearable with his gloating after US Patriot lost cleanly to Reynard B Guile. How humiliating for Patriot too. Shockett was backstage after the match and Guile was celebrating with none other than Vanity. Guile said he and Vanity were kindred spirits. "We both know what it's like to have an interloper steal the woman we love."
Are the Interplanetary Tag Team titles soon to change hands? Revolution and TitanPower both now have clean wins over the Advance Guard. I don't think Asylum will take the belts from then but Chopper Mattock and Cannibal have not started the new year impressively to say the least.
The feud is getting even hotter between the Champions of the Galaxy and Destruction Inc. I do believe, however, that Lance At-Las is not the guy to take the IP title from Matador.
Here is what is coming up on the next Monday Night War Games.
Above the Law vs Asylum Overlord better tell his tag team to wake up. This month they have already lost once to Asylum. And Jester just lost one-on-one to Commander Sam. I can't see them losing twice to Psycho and Frenzy.
Massif vs Brute This should be a great matchup. I hope the ring don't break. Massif is the more experienced singles wrestler and I think that gives him the edge.
Titan Express vs Assassin Empire These teams are no strangers to each other. The Assassins seem to still be reeling from all the chaos (no pun intended) from the Magnus Colby debacle so I am going with the Titans in this one.
Wolf vs Mayhem If these two don't both get disqualified or destroy the arena, a flip of the coin....Wolf wins probably by disqualification.
Infinity vs The New Order This looks like it could really be a coming out party for Mace and Dreggs. They certainly would have the advantage when it comes to teamwork and chemistry. But experience definitely favors Chaos and Thantos. That I think will prove to be the difference. If they can get along.
The Keepers of the Stone and Matador of M83 vs Animal Pack and Soldier of Fortune Colby's other men teaming against an interesting Three Man combination. I think the Keepers have been exposed since their arrival and, despite the odd partner, I like the AniMen in this one.
The Cosmic Forces and Dreadnaught vs TitanPower and Quasar The matches just get more and more interesting on this card. The Titans are Three Man specialists but with Lord Nexus getting older and Dreadnaught being as strong as he is since the Transevolver, I think Doomsayer's men take this one.
Alpha Force vs Doomsday Creature Doomsayer has certainly chosen the toughest test possible for the recreated Reptillo. Could you imagine if Doomsday Creature won? Could he be a legitimate threat to the Galaxian Heavyweight Championship? I think the former Serpent Unman is too undisciplined and out of control and that will be Alpha Force's advantage. Expect the champ to pick up the win here.

Awesome lineup for the next edition of Monday Night War Games... Especially looking forward to Wolf vs Mayhem - A conflict that is destined to tear the house down... Always great to see VX promotions up and running, my friend... Nice work!
