SUDDEN DEATH CENTRAL

Sudden Death is here and what a crazy concept that will forever change the scope of the wrestling galaxy!
For those who have yet to fully understand what is happening, Commissioner Carter has put together a two year event where teams will compete against each other. Several factors will come into play including points scored in match results, votes from a select committee as well as fan votes arond the galaxy.
The heaviest weight will be given to the results from the big events: Deimos Perennial, Battlezone, Escape From Aethra, Men of Steel, Survivor Slam and Champions of the Galaxy.
In January of 2096, the results of Sudden Death will become official and the losing teams must banish a wrestler from the GWF for a period of two years.

Hello, wrestling fans, and am I excited for this new journey in the ever-growing saga that is the GWF!
The Era of Sudden Death!
The War Games Era was intense but this brings everything to a whole new level! Now, more than ever, events like Battlezone, Escape From Aethra and Survivor Slam have an added importance that we had not seen during the War Games Era.
But what about this new coalition? Chaos and Thantos on the same team!
I don't know about the rest of you, but that worries me.
Thantos has had some powerful allies over the years, including Comrade Terror/Dreadnaught, Bishop Hell, Krakan and Bounty Hunter. But Chaos may be his most powerful ally ever! And this alliance could spell the end of one of Omega's sons in the GWF!
A truly terrifying thought!
But, there is one thing that I wonder.
Has Thantos ever allied himself with someone whom had hated him more than Chaos has?
Not even Thantos and Krakan have held the mutual animosity that Chaos and Thantos have had over the past couple of years.
"The enemy of my enemy is my friend."
It may make for a convenient alliance.
But can it make a reliable alliance?
Thantos and Chaos say they will form a tag team called Infinity.
They do seem unbeatable as a team.
But will that team be beaten by their greatest enemy?
Themselves!

You will have wrestlers bust their butts in the ring, win their matches, dominate their feud and then lose Sudden Death because the fans like another wrestler more?

DARKOS: You may not agree with his tactics, but you can't question Darkos' loyalty. While everyone had their own agendas, Darkos did his best to keep the Masked Assassins together.

COMMANDER SAM AND MASSIF: It's good to see a big man stick up for those who need help. Bounty Hunter's recent attack on Trainer Jim was deplorable and Massif was not going to stand for it! Great to see a good guy in this sometimes awful business make a stand.

MS LIBERTY: Sweet Thing no more! She held that name for five years while she was with Vanity and it was sexist and degrading and we are glad she has gotten rid of it. Young women need role models too and Ms Liberty will be one for you all to remember!

THUMBS DOWN
TONGSOON: Sorry, pal, but a deal is a deal and trying to back out of a deal says a lot about your character. Or lack thereof. You were more than willing to see Dreadnaught turned human but you wanted to welch? A man is only as good as his word and you showed just how little you value your word.

MAGNUS COLBY: Money can buy almost anything. But it can't buy our respect and we have no respect for you! I hope Chaos, Thantos, Matador and the Keepers saw what you really were when you were so-called managing the Masked Assassins. If they haven't, then they will!

ASYLUM: That's what you call yourselves now? Man-Mountain and Lightening? Or what is it now? Psycho and Frenzy? All these years the fans have supported you and you still won't come clean about your time in an institution? Don't you think the fans deserve better than that?

UPCOMING SHOWS

Speaking of Psycho, coming up on Saturday Night Invasion, he will go one-on-one with Ursa Major. Because of the importance of every match during Sudden Death, matches will now be announced in advance and impromptu battles will NOT take place! Commissioner Carter said everyone deserves a fair shot at knowing who they will face when during Sudden Death.

SATURDAY NIGHT INVASION
JANUARY 2

The show starts off with a recap from Monday Night War Games with the signing of Thantos and the Third Force to contracts making Magnus Colby their manager, the Cosmic Forces winning the Galaxian Tag Team Titles and the transforming of The Serpent Unman into the Doomsday Creature.

The former Norse Gods, Masters of Illusion come out, now calling themselves Asylum and wearing shreads of makeshift strait jackets to open the show.

PSYCHO VS URSA MAJOR
Psycho does not take this match seriously at all. He seems to be more onteresting in acting like a clown. At one point, he allows Ursa Major to land an elbow drop and proceeds to go into an over-selling act that would have made Shawn Michaels jealous! But, in the end, he hits a falling double knee to pick up the 1-2-3.
WINNER OF THE MATCH: PSYCHO

Asylm comes over to talk to Susan McDuff and Ellner Shockett. Lightening/Frenzy Tells the story of their home planet and why they were institutionalized and how the statute of limitations has expired and they are now free to be themselves. Psycho sits quietly, eating a bucket of chicken.

ASTRO TURK VS ROYAL OVERLORD
Royal Overlord hits an atomic drop to score the pinfall.
WINNER OF THE MATCH: ROYAL OVERLORD

Royal Overlord is interviewed by McDuff.

OVERLORD: Nobody turned on Exo-King. He abdicated his throne all on his own! You can't abandon your royal subjects and then refer to them as traitors when they replace you! The King is dead! Long live the Overlord!

DEATH MASQUE VS BLACK HOLE BART
Death Masque is disqualified for using THE MELTDOWN.
WINNER OF THE MATCH AS A RESULT OF A DISQUALIFICATION: BLACK HOLE BART

MCDUFF: Darkos sent him out with specific instructions to do that!

SHOCKETT: Over-reacting female! Death Masque was robbed by an over-zealous ref!

TOMBSTONE AND SPLATTER wMUTANT VS THE SAVAGE KINGDOM
Splatter starts the match off and neither Krakan nor Death's Head ever tags in. Then, Krakan orders his team out of the ring. The ref counts the Society of Death out. The Masked Assassins then try to attack the Savage Kingdom but the Savage Kingdom fights back and Darkos gets the BARBARIAN SHUFFLE.
WINNERS OF THE MATCH AS A RESULT OF A COUNTOUT: THE SAVAGE KINGDOM

MCDUFF: That setup backfired on the Assassins! And they have to wrestle next!

ANIMAL PACK w/AMAZONIA VS THE ASSASSIN EMPIRE
Darkos (Darkos 4 tokens) tries to fight hard after the debacle in the previous match but Incredible Badger puts him down with a sleeper hold.
WINNERS OF THE MATCH: ANIMAL PACK

SHOCKETT: Unfair! Unfair! Darkos should have been allowed time to recover after the heinous attack by Terak!

MCDUFF: What? Darkos was the one who attempted the heinous attack! He got what he deserves!

THE ADVANCE GUARD w/THE COLLECTOR VS REVOLUTION
It's a good thing for the Collector's Workshop that this was a nontitle match as a King Lear power slam finished off Cannibal.

MCDUFF: That should shoot King Lear and Killer Queen up the rankings!

SHOCKETT: Fluke! They'll never beat them when the titles are on the line.

ANTIMATTER wMATTER AND DOOMSAYER VS COMMANDER SAM
Antmatter pinned Commander Sam following the Fusion Fist.

MCDUFF: Antimatter with the win and that's all the time we have as....wait. Amazonia on the entrance ramp. Who is that with her? Who is that....oh my goodness gracious! I recognize him! It's Tongsoon! Tongsoon is with Amazonia! Oh my goodness gracious! We're out of time!

GALACTIC WRESTLING OBSERVER 2093 YEAR END AWARDS
As voted for by the GWF fans

NEWCOMER OF THE YEAR
Really, this award should have two separate categories. If this was a strict Rookie of the Year, no doubt we would have seen Quasar take the prize. But, for Newcomer of the Year, the award goes to Alpha Force. Two-time Galaxian Heavyweight Champion, beating Thantos and Chaos both in the same match at Champions of the Galaxy '93.

MOST IMPROVED WRESTLER OF THE YEAR
Not a decision that wins many popularity awards but there is no denying the changes made in Renegade's demeanor and strategy has made Cannibal/Renegade the most improved wrestler in 2093. Sadly, Renegade was right. Terak did hold him back. As Cannibal the Headhunter and part of The Collector's Workshop, Renegade has gone on to great tag team success with Chopper Mattock (who was voted first-runner up.) This we are sure pleases The Collector and gives him and his financial backers even more confidence to go after other wrestlers for retraining.

MOST INSPIRATIONAL WRESTLER OF THE YEAR
And he can thank Susan McDuff for her campaigning for him. Changing his image to a more patriotic moniker and battling for the women he loved, US Patriot became a galaxy-wide example of good eventually winning over evil. The final stamp on 2093 came when he and Vlad Hammer surrendered the now-defunct War Games Tag Team Titles in order to allow Sweet Thing (now Ms Liberty) to stay in the GWF free from Vanity's manipulations and abuse. Well done, US Patriot.

FEUD OF THE YEAR
Well, the fans voted. And, for whatever reason, the fans love this feud the best. Mutant vs The Creeper. That's all the can be said about that.

MANAGER OF THE YEAR
While men like Royal Overlord and Magnus Colby saw their teams imploding, Trainer Jim not only held the Titans together strong, but led all of them to gold at one time or another. In fact, he was this close to having all of them champions at the exact same time. A great year for the Titans and a truly deserving honor for Trainer Jim.

TAG TEAM OF THE YEAR
For the better part of 2093, Animal Pack held the Galaxian Tag Team Titles. They won most of their matchups against Brute and Massacre! For winning that fed alone, they deserve to be called Tag Team of the Year. Being able to dethrone and keep the Gladiators from regaining the belts sealed this one.

WRESTLER OF THE YEAR
Like Animal Pack, Chaos controlled the Galaxian Heavyweight Championship for most of 2093, regaining it almost as soon as he would drop it. Chaos was the Man in 2093. He backed up his bold statements night after night and won this award pretty easily.

MONDAY NIGHT WAR GAMES PREVIEW FOR JANUARY 4, 2094

THE SAVAGE ONES VS METEOR STORM
The Savage Kingdom seems to be overmatched in their Sudden Death Feud with the Masked Assassins while Meteor Storm has complained about not being a part of Sudden Death. You have to admire their competitive nature at least, even though they may not even be in the class of the Savage Ones.

ABOVE THE LAW VS ASYLUM
We saw Man-Mountain's new look Saturday night and now we see the former Norse Gods in their new identity as a tag team. Because of their Sudden Death feud with the Collector's Workshop, it has been determined that Asylum will get yet another shot at the Interplanetary Tag Team Titles at Deimos Perennial. Meanwhile, they will face the very tough duo, former Galaxian Tag Team Champions Above the Law, this Monday night. This ain't Ursa Major, guys. They treat this match like a clown show and they will get burned by HELLFIRE.

ANIMAL PACK AND WOLF VS THE MASKED ASSASSINS
A rematch from Saturday night with Wolf and Death Masque added to the mix. Darkos made a costly miscalculation Saturday night, trying to ambush the Savage Kingdom. Animal Pack is the 2093 Tag Team of the Year and adding Wolf is a much better upgrade than adding Death Masque so advantage AniMen.

THANTOS VS SOLDIER OF FORTUNE
Tongsoon makes his in-ring debut ever since becoming human. Doomsayer has filed a complaint, claiming that Tongsoon gave a verbal agreement to retire but the GWF has taken Soldier of Fortune's side that the retirement was under the condition that he not be forced to undergo the Transevolver. Since the Galactic Rebels forced him into the Transevolver anyways, then Soldier of Fortune's retirement is null and void. With that being said, man, what a way to start 2094 and his new life as a human wrestler than against the Gamemaster himself! Even though I like Amazonia as a manager much better than Magnus Colby, I don't think Soldier of Fortune is ready for a one-on-one match with Thantos!

STAR WARRIOR VS DREADNAUGHT
These two are no strangers to each other. This is a main event match for any show! By the flip of a coin, I am going to go with Star Warrior in this one.

THE NEW ORDER AND GALACTIC PUNISHER VS THE GLADIATORS AND MAYHEM
What a way to make a debut! Well, they wanted them. They had Destruction 3000 scouting and harassing the Gladiators for an entire year! And Dreggs and Mace are teaming with a man who knows the Gladiators well! It may sound crazy but, if the Gladiators are overconfident, they could end up being beaten by these two rookies and their new ally!

THE KEEPERS OF THE STONE AND MATADOR OF M83 VS TITANPOWER AND QUASAR
The Interplanetary Champion will be featured in this Three Man Tag Match. This match will show everyone why Magnus Colby ditched the Masked Assassins for Destruction, Incorporated. Matador and the Keepers of the Stone will handle the Titans.

THE COSMIC FORCES VS THE TITAN EXPRESS
The brand new Galaxian Tag Team Champions will close out the show in our final match. It is a nontitle match but don't think the Titan Express isn't looking to earn a possible future title shot in this one. Pulsar Prime and Dragonmaster have their weaknesses, but they can also beat anybody at anytime. I can easily see an overconfident Cosmic Forces team getting beat.

And there you have it, wrestling fans. The GWF is not pulling any punches during Sudden Death. These matches are just setting the tone for what should be the greatest two-year stretch in the history of VX Promotions and the GWF and you will not want to miss it!

Savage Ones get a chance to build their confidence with a match against a team nobody cares about.
crazy might just be what Asylum needs, but against a duo like ATL their going to lose.
Pack and Wolf here. the Assassins just don't muster up. unless Masque hits the Meltdown in the opening moments its an Animen victory here.
Thantos gets to test SOF. I see a DQ here somewhere.
Warrior and the Transevolved Terror...coin toss...Dreadnaught takes this one barely
New Order and Punisher with a DQ win
Keepers and Matador on brutality but I could see the Titans slip the win in with better teamwork and high flying risks
The Cosmic Forces for me aren't consistent. and like you say Titan Express can beat anyone, anywhere in a snap. I think it all comes down to a mised tag and a hard hit with a finisher. Titan Express to win this one
with 2093 closing in my reboot I am wondering how this turns out. can't wait to see it

MONDAY NIGHT WAR GAMES
JANUARY 4

ES: Ellner Shockett, here, backstage with the Galactic Rebels and you guys are on the rise with the formation of The Doomsday Creature as well as the Cosmic Forces winning the Galaxian Tag Team Titles.

DDOMSAYER: Don't forget addition by subtraction now that we have gotten rid of the weak link Tongsoon.

ES: Tongsoon proved what low moral character he has. Not only did he try to go back on the deal made at Champions of the Galaxy 93 but now he is refusing to retire like he said he would.

DOOMSAYER: A man is as only as good as his word, Ellner Shockett. But enough about losers. Let's talk about winners. Let's talk about the Galaxian Tag Team Champions. The Cosmic Forces!

ES: Yes, tonight, they have a match against the Titan Express. Now, I know you will beat the Titans easily but there are those who are predicting the Titans to win this match.

DOOMSAYER: The experts said we would lose to Animal Pack, too, but look who are the Galaxian Tag Team Champions.

DREADNAUGHT: Hey! You better not even think about not bringing up what I am going to do to Star Warrior tonight.

ES: I can speak for myself and say I am really looking forwards to that match.

DREADNAUGHT: I can speak for myself and say I really don't care! Star Warrior! We are no strangers to each other. As for you, Tongsoon! You should have retired like you said you would!

ES: The Galactic Rebels are ready to dominate the action, tonight! Back to you, Rocket.

THE SAVAGE ONES VS METEOR STORM
Was pretty much what was expected. Meteor Storm gave an effort but the SIMIAN STUNNER from Sectarian put Astro Turk away.
WINNERS OF THE MATCH: THE SAVAGE ONES

VX: As you may have noticed, Monday Night War Games has increased its volume of matches from six a night to eight! What that means is more matches. And less talking! We don't need to hear Chaos tell us he is Power Incarnate every week. Wolf, you can howl when you are in the ring! Forget all that nonsense! You came here to see wrestling and these guys are going to wrestle! Now, start the next match!

An advertisement runs for Deimos Perennial 94. Sunday, January 31st. Matches already sign include Alpha Force defending the Galaxian Heavyweight Championship against Chaos, the Cosmic Forces defending the Galaxian Tag Team Titles against Animal Pack. Both of these matches are automatic rematches granted to the former champions. Also, Revolution faces Above the Law in grudge match and The Advance Guard will defend the Interplanetary Tag Team Titles one more time against Asylum.

ABOVE THE LAW w/ROYAL OVERLORD VS ASYLUM
Asylum debuts their new finisher, PSYCHOTHERAPY, and Psycho gets the pin on Mad Jester to score a huge upset!
WINNERS OF THE MATCH: ASYLUM

A replay shows The Serpent Unman become the Doomsday Creature and Wolf trying to attack him. Announcement says Wolf will face Doomsday Creature at Deimos Perennial 94.

ANIMAL PACK AND WOLF w/AMAZONIA VS THE MASKED ASSASSINS
This match started off so one-sided that it looked like the AniMen would just squash the Assassins. But, the Assassins fought back and even got Wolf in trouble before Death Masque was disqualified for using THE MELTDOWN on Wolf. With Wolf down and Badger and Ram becoming distacted by their hurt teammate, the Assassins pounced and looked to even let Death Masque give Amazonia THE MELTDOWN before the Savage Kingdom, of all people, came to the rescue, with The Creeper giving Death Masque the ELIMINATOR to save Amazonia!
WINNERS OF THE MATCH AS A RESULT OF A DISQUALIFICATION: ANIMAL PACK AND WOLF

Livid, the Masked Assassins make sure that matches are signed for Deimos Perennial 94: The Assassin Empire against The Savage Ones and Death Masque versus The Creeper.

THANTOS w/MAGNUS COLBY VS SOLDIER OF FORTUNEw/AMAZONIA
Soldier of Fortune really had the crowd behind him as he took the fight to Thantos (5 tokens). But, after the action spilled out of the ring, the ref was turned to admonish Thantos and Dreadnaught came out and dropped Soldier of Fortune on the concrete floor with the GUIDED MISSILE and SOF was out!
WINNER OF THE MATCH AS A RESULT OF A COUNTOUT: THANTOS

STAR WARRIOR w/OMEGA VS DREADNAUGHT w/DOOMSAYER
Thantos returned the favor, distracting Star Warrior just enough for Dreadnaught to hit the Torpedo Launch and get the pin (damn snake eyes roll). Thantos then slid into the ring and the two old comrades put the boots to Star Warrior. Thantos then clamped on the MASTERLOCK as Dreadnaught grabbed the mic and held it to Star Warrior's face so all the fans could hear him scream. Alpha Force, the Greek Gods and Lance At-Las rushed the ring to chase Thantos and Dreadnaught away as the fans lustily booed the two villains.
WINNER OF THE MATCH: DREADNAUGHT

Johnny Rocket confirms that at Deimos Perennial 94, Dreadnaught will clash with Soldier of Fortune and Star Warrior will battle Thantos.

THE NEW ORDER AND GALACTIC PUNISHER w/DESTRUCTION 3000 VS THE GLADIATORS AND MAYHEM w/THE GUARDSMAN
The pop for the newcomers was insane! The crowd had been waiting for the debut of the New Order and they were not disappointed. Brute was left a bit shocked that Mace could match him power for power and Mayhem was even more stunned that Mace was actually stronger than him! The W.A.R. team came very, very close to pulling this off but the Gladiator Piledriver from Massacre to Galactic Punisher was the difference.

Commissioner Carter comes out and makes the crowd even happier by immediately telling these two teams that there will be a rematch next Monday night!

THE KEEPERS OF THE STONE AND MATADOR OF M83 w/MAGNUS COLBY VS TITANPOWER AND QUASAR w/TRAINER JIM
And then the crowd went from buzzing about the previous match to booing like they were listening to a Roman Reigns promo. The match seemed okay but then the ref suddenly would make a suspiciously slow count any time one of the Titans went for a cover. An argument ensued and the ref called for the bell and raised Matador's hand and tossed the match out, disqualifying the Titans. Magnus Colby was seen with a suspicious grin on his face.

The Titan Express come to the ring and then The Cosmic Forces come to the ring.

This match got the crowd back into the show! The Titans gave the champs a good match but Dragonmaster took too much punishment (5 tokens) and fell to the NEGATIVE CHARGE.

TERAK: You wanted an easy feud? Yo should have picked on someone else, Darkos. We wil not be intimidated. We will not back down. This past weekend should send the Masked Assassins a message! There's a reason why they call us the SAVAGE Kingdom!

MAGNUS COLBY: I am tired of false accusations accusing me off paying off a ref! The Titans are crybaby losers who got disqualified on purpose to keep from being humbled by Matador and the Keepers. Heb Daverlner is the most honest, trustworthy official in the entire GWF! I do not buy officials! But I can buy lawyers and if these false allegations don't cease and desist immediately, I will buy out VX Promotions and fire everybody!

THE COLLECTOR: Of course, the GWF does nothing about the fact that escaped lunatics from an insane asylum are running around loose in the GWF! HAVE ALPHA FORCE AND CHAOS MADE THE STAR WARRIOR-THANTOS FEUD OBSOLETE?

Once again, at Deimos Perennial 94, Star Warrior will step into the ring to face Thantos.

With nothing on the line but Sudden Death points.

For years, Star Warrior versus Thantos has been the headline feud. The main event! The match to determine who wold be the Galaxian Heavyweight Champion. Oh sure, others have jumped in as well. Spike. Wolf. Massif. These men have snuck in and grabbed a short title run only for it to go right back to Star Warrior against Thantos.

That all was flipped upside down two years ago with the arrival of Chaos. But, still, Star Warrior and Thantos were at the top of the card along with Chaos.

Then last year, Alpha Force came to the GWF and Star Warrior suddenly found himself battling for the Interplanetary title.

Now, with the merger of Thantos with the Third Force, the Evil Gamemaster finds himself on the outside looking in as Chaos challenges Alpha Force for the Galaxian Heavyweight Championship.

Star Warrior was polite and cordial when approached about the subject.

"Of course, I want to be the Galaxian Heavyweight Champion. Anyone who doesn't want to be that should not be wrestling. You have to want to be the best! The very best! But, right now, that man is my brother and blood is thicker than water."

Of course, wrestling history is full of legendary tales of brothers turning on one another. Star Warrior assures us that will never happen.

As for Thantos? The Evil Gamemaster gave us a terse no comment while Magnus Colby threatened to buy the Galaxian Wrestling Observer and fire all of us for trying to start trouble between Chaos and Thantos.

But hasn't there been trouble between these two over the last couple of years?

Thantos has never been one to play second fiddle to anybody. Chaos and Magnus Colby will do themselves a favor if they keep that in mind!

Once or twice a year, these two managers get into the ring against each other. If ever there is a toss-up in the world of professional wrestling, it is this match right here!

THE GUARDSMAN VS COMMANDER SAM
Just like his hero Omega did, Sam just keeps lacing them up long past time to stop. The Guardsman is not a very skilled wrestler but I think even he beats Sam at this point in Sam's life.

THE MASKED ASSASSINS VS THE KING'S COURT
A very interesting matchup. Let's not forget, Death Masque actually came into the GWF along with Exo-King and Killer Queen when they were called The Evil Ones! And Mesmer as a partner for King Lear and Killer Queen? The Masked Assassins have more team chemistry and experience together as a trio and that will be the difference I think.

SECTARIAN VS MUTANT
Mutant has been relegated to a body guard for the Society of Death but goes one-on-one against Sectarian. Sectarian has a year under his belt now and should be able to take care of Mutant.

ANIMAL PACK AND WOLF VS THE ROYAL PALACE
Wolf can not be happy after what transpired Monday night! The Royal Palace will be facing irate AniMen and that should spell big trouble for the Overlord's team.

TITANPOWER VS TOMBSTONE
Sudden Death points are on the line! Invincible Krakan will finally debut Death's Head. We think. But who knows what Krakan is thinking? Consistent teamwork will be the difference here as TitanPower gets the nod in my book.

THE ADVANCE GUARD VS METEOR STORM
Poor Meteor Storm. The only way they can win this match is if Cannibal gets disqualified for using the THROAT SLIT.
