Group A & B action
Greg Valentine punished Red Bastien from the outset of their encounter but Bastien drew on the fans support to escape a FIGURE FOUR LEGLOCK four times before eventually falling to Valentine Chops. 3.0
Gorgeous George defeated Dick Hutton with a SPINNING TOE HOLD after the interference of Cherie Dupre saved him earlier in the contest. 2.0
Buddy Rogers was dominating his match against Jimmy Valiant when Valiant was disqualified for cracking Rogers with a chair during a brawl at ringside. 1.5
Nick Bockwinkel manhandled Ox Baker getting the win with a FIGURE FOUR LEGLOCK. 1.0
Road Warrior Hawk downed Harley Race by disqualification when Race rammed Hawk into the ring post to end a wild match that featured plenty of action on floor. 1.0
Giant Baba dominated against Iron Sheik but Sheik gain control during a brawl on the floor and took the win with a CAMEL CLUTCH in his only offensive move the of the match. 1.0
DiBiase gets the early advantage against Bobo Brazil but when Virgil jumps Brazil on the floor the referee gets wise and disqualifies the Million Dollar Man. D
The action between Killer Kowalski and Johnny Valentine was very intense and came to a violent conclusion when Kowalski was disqualified for running Valentine into the ring post. 1.5
Destroyer remained undefeated when Jimmy Snuka was disqualified for refusing to stop brawling on the floor after a match that featured some solid back and forth action before the bout spilled outside. 1.0
In a power vs. science match up, Road Warrior Animal came away with the win when Frank Gotch was disqualified when he refuses to release a guillotine choke at ringside. D
With only three rounds remaining, Group A has become a two man race with the undefeated Destroyer leading with twelve points and Nick Bockwinkel following closely with ten. The two will meet in the final night of round robin action and what has the possibility of being a winner take all match up.
In Group B, the race remains very tight with Greg Valentine leading with ten points while Buddy Rogers and Bobo Brazil follow tied at eight points. Rogers holds victories over both Valentine and Brazil which makes him the favourite to come out of the block.

15.01.01.16 @ Washington Avenue Armory, Albany, NY (1.42)
Dick Hutton survived an early power attack to defeat Nikolai Volkoff with an ABDOMINAL STRETCH. 1.0
Frank Gotch was dialed in and dismantled Playboy Buddy Rose getting his win back with a submission to a GOTCH TOE HOLD. 1.0
Ox Baker and The Sandman tore into each other until Sandman was disqualified for using a SINGAPORE CANE. 1.0
King Kong Bundy picked up a submission victory over Giant Baba with a bear hug in a really plodding match [Snake Eyes]. D
Road Warriors battled back and forth with the Valiant Brothers until both teams were disqualified after the match breaks down following a DOOMSDAY DEVICE to Jimmy Valiant. 3.5
Jimmy Snuka had Greg Valentine defeated with a SUPERFLY LEAP (3) but Johnny Valentine attacked Snuka causing a disqualification. Bobo Brazil joined the action post match to break up the attack before Snuka could be injured. 2.0

16.01.01.17 @ Clarke Arena, Manchester CT (1.6)
Group A action
Ox Baker defeated Gorgeous George by disqualification when he rammed Baker into the ring post and then fled from ringside for his life. D
Dick Hutton wrestled a solid match and bested Frank Gotch with an ABDOMINAL STRETCH. 1.5
Road Warrior Animal dominated the action against Jimmy Snuka and picked up the win with a POWER SLAM. 1.5
In a match with a highly controversial conclusion, Johnny Valentine handed The Destroyer his first tournament loss. There was a referee bump late in the match with the official going down for eight moves during which time Destroyer had the match won four times!
A new referee arrived just in time for Valentine to get the best of brawl on the floor and take the win seconds later. [Valentine has 12 pin tokens!] 5.0
Nick Bockwinkel looked impressive against Killer Kowalski using a BOCKWINKEL SLEEPER to get the win [snake eyes]. D
The big news out of tonight is that Nick Bockwinkel and The Destroyer are now deadlocked at twelve points each at the top of group A after the controversial match between Johnny Valentine & Destroyer tonight. Bockwinkel and Destroyer are set to clash in the last round of the tournament and it just may be a winner take all contest!

Virgil upset Red Bastien by disqualification when he rammed Virgil into the ring post and then tore into the Million Dollar Man Ted
DiBiase who was at ringside heckling Bastine throughout the match. 1.0
Sandman takes longer to get into the ring then to beat Nikita Breznikov with a HARDCORE DDT. D
Harley Race took the pin out of nowhere with a vertical suplex on Nikolai Volkoff after several minutes of back and forth closely contested action. 1.0
Johnny Valiant escaped Road Warrior Hawk by disqualification when Hawk rammed Valiant face first into the rails by the fans. After the match, Jimmy Valiant joins his brother for a vicious assault of Hawk leaving the Road Warrior a bloodied and battered mess in the middle of the ring capping off the attack with a TOP ROPE ELBOW. Hawk is injured for four fight cards. 2.0
In a wild brawl from start to finish, Bobo Brazil defeated Greg Valentine by disqualification when he cracked Brazil with a chair shot during a brawl on the floor. 1.0
Tag team feuds continue to highlight the non tournament events as The Valiant Brothers attempted to put the Road Warriors out of commission with an attack on Road Warrior Hawk tonight knowing that Road Warrior Animal was not in attendance. Things continue to heat up between the sides of Jimmy Snuka & Bobo Brazil and the Valentines as well.

The Destroyer's streak comes to an end in unbelievable fashion... Very excited for the upcoming encounter between him and Bockwinkel to decide the outcome of that bracket... Fun stuff!

Group B action
A bloodied Red Bastien was able to rally against the underhanded tactics of Jimmy Valiant to claim victory with an ATOMIC DROP. 1.5
Back to back COCO BUTTS was enough for Bobo Brazil to stop the threat of first place Greg Valentine. 1.0
Ted DiBiase made an impressive comeback against Giant Baba that started with an Irish whip into the ring post, with some assistance from Virgil, and ended with back to back to back MILLION DOLLAR SLEEPERS. 2.5
In a wild and bloody brawl, Road Warrior Hawk bested Iron Sheik by disqualification when Sheik took things too far smashing Hawk with a chair during one of the many brawls on the floor. 3.5
Harley Race had the opportunity to play spoiler against Buddy Rogers but was disqualified when he took a chair from Rogers and used it against the Nature Boy during an exchange at ringside. 1.0
Things continued to remain very tight in Group B heading into the final rounds of action. Three competitors, Buddy Rogers, Bobo Brazil & Greg Valentine, have ten points each but it is Rogers who has the lead by virtue of his victories over both Valentine & Brazil earlier in the tournament. Road Warrior Hawk and Red Bastien remain behind with eight points each.

The Destroyer was robbed I tell ya! Big win for Johnny Valentine even with the controversy as he ended the unbeaten streak of the masked man. Group B action has been great and I am loving the three-way battle for the top spot but the edge goes to Buddy Rogers based on his wins over Bobo Brazil and Greg Valentine. I loved that match description for The Sandman over Nikita Breznikov, that was pretty funny.

Group B action
Johnny Valentine grinded away on Road Warrior Animal while the action was in the ring but the match ended at ringside when Animal was disqualified for refusing to stop choking Valentine. 1.0
Jimmy Snuka struggled after the handshake with Dick Hutton nearly avoiding defeat several times before coming back and hitting a SUPERLY LEAP (5) for the win. 1.5
In an entertaining contrast of styles, Frank Gotch bested Ox Baker via disqualification when Baker cracked Gotch with a chair during a brawl on the floor. 2.0
Nick Bockwinkel was tested early against Gorgeous George but came back to get the victory with a BOCKWINKEL SLEEPER. 1.0
The Destroyer looked very impressive against Killer Kowalski until a backdrop to the floor turned the momentum and allowed Kowalski to dominate the balance of the bout getting the win with a CLAW HOLD. 1.5
With his loss tonight, Destroyer has fallen two points back of the leader Nick Bockwinkel in the Group A but with a victory against Bockwinkel in the next round, he can still win the Group and advance to the World Title Match.

Killer Kowalski may have locked this one up for Nick Bockwinkel. The Destroyer now has to beat Bockwinkel to advance but that won't be easy. Very good show from Rochester my friend.

Red Bastien survived a BOMBS AWAY before Playboy Buddy Rose was disqualified for using a chair during a brawl on the floor. 1.5
Gorgeous George gave Frank Gotch all he could handle and then some including the distraction of Cherie Dupré but eventually fell to a GOTCH TOE HOLD after a lengthy contest that featured plenty of brawling from both men. 5.0
Ted DiBiase made an impressive comeback to defeat Dick Hutton with a MILLION DOLLAR SLEEPER in match that also saw Virgil get his licks in during action outside the ring drawing great heat. 1.5
Sandman bested Ox Baker by disqualification when Baker refused to stop choking Sandman with a chair on the floor in a short but intense encounter. Baker drops Sandman with not one, but two HEART PUNCHES after the match and Sandman is stretchered from ringside. Eight Card Injury. 1.0
Greg Valentine & Johnny Valentine escaped Bobo Brazil & Jimmy Snuka by disqualification when Snuka rammed Johnny Valentine into the rails by the fans. D
