The Road Warriors solidified their grip on the NEW tag titles turning back former champs Nick Bockwinkel & Ray Stevens. It was a better outing for Bockwinkel & Stevens this time though. The Varsity Club have the Road Warriors in their sights and it will be interesting to see how they fare. I was shocked when The Sandman beat "Dr. Death" but he paid a price for it afterward.
Rose & Bagwell beating Dibiase & Virgil was an upset with Kevin Steen getting some just revenge on the Gentleman's Club. Bob Armstrong is on a roll but has King Kong Bundy looking for some revenge and that can't be good. Anytime Koko B. Ware posts up a win I am happy and that was a nice one to open a good show.

This fed keeps coming up with ways to make me smile, Crue! Let me tell you. Ha ha.
When I rolled on the Wrestler Interference chart during the DiBiase/Virgil vs. Rose/Bagwell tag match... I simply HAD TO make Steen be involved in some form or fashion.
I think it worked out perfectly.
Hell, I'll be honest with you: I'm thinking of having Rose and Bagwell start teaming up on the regular.

As always, thanks for taking the time to comment, Crue!
New Era Wrestling -Card #8- (New York, NY)
Our show opens up with a backstage shot of the arena and there waiting for us is the pairing of "Playboy" Buddy Rose and Buff Bagwell. Both men are wearing matching hot pink silk jackets. Rose smiles and addresses the camera.
Rose: "Hello again, New York City. It's I... the slim, trim 217 lb. Wrestling God... and my new best friend... the other guy... Buff Bagwell! Well, you see, DiBiase, you messed up. You could have had Bagwell and myself in your little group of Gentlemen... but you obviously aren't smart enough!"
Bagwell: "Obvi!"
Rose: "Well, DiBiase, what you did do... is put two of the greatest wrestlers in New Era Wrestling together to form the newest team around! That's right, champ! You've created... The Hot Mess Express!"
Rose and Bagwell turn around and "Hot Mess Express" is written in flowing script on the backs of the jackets. The two men turn back around, smiling from ear to ear.
Rose: "But that's not all, DiBiase! As they say... the enemy of my enemy is my friend, so I'd like to address the North American Champion... Mister Kevin Steen! Kev? Come on out here, would ya?"
The two goofballs are, unbelievably enough, joined by Kevin Steen. He does not look happy.
Steen: "What? What could you possibly have to say to me, Rose? What?"
Rose smiles and reaches off-screen and retrieves... a third hot pink jacket. He offers the jacket that presumably has "Hot Mess Express" scrolled across the back to Steen and the North American champion swats the offered jacket away and proceeds to lay out both Rose and Bagwell! After the beating is done, Steen looks right into the camera and nearly screams:
Steen: "DiBiase! I didn't help these two idiots win the match against you because I like them! I did it because I hate you! I don't need anyone in my corner, unlike you! I stand on my own two feet, DiBiase. You're on notice, "champ". Watch your back."
With all that over with, we turn to the ringside area and get a shot of our broadcast position and our announce team. Miss Cindy Shepherd waits in the ring to bring us...
*The Killer Bees (B.Brian Blair & 'Jumping' Jim Brunzell) vs. The Shield (Jon Moxley & Tyler Black)
Moxley and Black get an early advantage on Blair and Brunzell but it doesn't last long. The Bees take the younger guys and put on a pro wrestling clinic. Once Black and Moxley regain control we notice that World Champion "Million Dollar Man" Ted DiBiase and his manager J.J. Dillon are by the Gorilla Position. They appear to be watching the match very intently. The match continues in a back-and-forth manner for a bit longer before Brunzell falls victim to a CURB STOMP and is very nearly pinned! Blair makes the save, though, and everything continues. The guys from the Shield keep up the pressure on the Bees and before long Brunzell falls victim to another CURB STOMP! Black gets the pinfall and the win. Moxley and Black celebrate their win, they notice that DiBiase and Dillon have been watching the whole time. The World Champion applauds the winners before returning to the back with Dillon in tow.
Winners of the Match: The Shield!
Cantrell: "An impressive win picked up here tonight by Moxley and Black, Frankie. The Shield will certainly be a team to keep your eye on in the future."
Saddler: "You mean like DiBiase and Dillon were just now, Mike?"
It isn't long before we go back to the ring to join Miss Cindy for her introductions of...
*King Kong Bundy (w/ Jimmy Hart) vs. Brad Armstrong
Brad puts forth a Herculean effort but just can not get anything long-term done in the ring against the Monster from New Jersey. Once Bundy gets the upper hand, Armstrong's fate is more or less sealed. An AVALANCHE lets Bundy go for his patented five count... only to be shocked when Brad kicks outbefore the ref hits the three count! Hart berates the poor referee and Bundy nails Brad with a second AVALANCHE. This time, he gets his five count and the win. Bundy and Hart look like they're going to set Brad up for even more AVALANCHES but 'Bullet' Bob Armstrong hits the ring swinging a chair to drive them both off!
Winner of the Match: King Kong Bundy!
Cantrell: "Bundy and Hart look like they were trying to send a message just now, Frankie."
Saddler: "Bullet Bob and the big man are going to have a showdown eventually, Mike. I want to be there for that, let me tell you."
Once the ring gets cleared and Bob Armstrong is sure that his son is okay, we once again rejoin Miss Cindy for our next round of introductions...
*Angelus Layne vs. Marti Belle
Layne hits the ring running, armed with a chair and damn near takes Marti's head off before the match even starts! The referee immediately calls for the bell, disqualifying Layne and awarding the match to the barely-conscious Belle.
Winner of the Match (by DQ): Marti Belle!
After the match ends and officials are seen tending to Marti Belle, we go backstage to the interview stage to the awaiting Amy Lee. With her tonight is her guests... World Champion "Million Dollar Man" Ted DiBiase, his bodyguard Virgil, "Mister Perfect" Curt Hennig, and their manager James J. Dillon. All the men are in suits. Virgil's suit has no sleeves so that way he can show off his impressive arms.
Lee: "Mister DiBiase... I'm told that you specifically requested this time with us tonight?"
DiBiase: "Yes, I did, Amy Lee! Yes I did! You see, I was about to head to one of my vacation homes... the one in Cape Cod... a much nicer place than New York City, I might add... when our fearless leader called J.J. and informed him... no, scratch that. He demanded that J.J. and I show up here tonight, so that Harley Race can have the rematch with me that he obviously forced them to give him! He's old news! He's been beaten! I should be done with him... but, no. That's not how things work around here. Fine with me. This will be your last shot at the belt, Race! Enjoy it!"
Curt Hennig steps forward to commandeer the mic.
Hennig: "I need to put in a few words here, Ted. I need to address my father... Larry "The Axe" Hennig. Dad. I'm begging you. Don't get involved in this match. If you do, you'll put me in a position that I don't want to be in. You've taught me all that you know about the business. But, Dad, you need to know this: You haven't taught me everything that I know! I'm with the Gentlemen's Club now. So don't push your luck."
J.J Dillon steps up and adds his own two cents, next.
Dillon: "Race! This is your last shot. You lose tonight and you'll have to work your way up the ranks like everyone else before you get within sniffing distance of the World title again!"
All the man laugh (except Virgil... who just scowls) as they make their way back to their dressing area.
We go back to the ring as it's been set up for our next match...
*Jim Powers vs. "Macho Man" Randy Savage (N.E.W. Television Champion; w/ Sherri Martel)
For the most part, the champion has his way with Powers for the majority of the match. Powers gets in a few lucky shots here and there but ends up getting knocked flat and drilled with Savage's patented FLYING ELBOW SMASH! Savage preens for the fans for a moment before going for the pin but he's yanked out of the ring by "The Phenomenal" A.J. Styles who has appeared out of nowhere! Styles and Savage get into a wild brawl out at ringside while "Scary Sherri" screams at the referee. Jim Powers recovers and leaves the ring before jumping in on the beatdown of the Television champion! Styles and Powers leave Savage laying in a heap as the referee has no choice but to award the match to the champion. Sherri and Savage hold the title belt high overhead... almost as if they won the match on their own.
Winner of the Match and STILL N.E.W. TV Champion: Randy Savage!
Cantrell: "Um... Frankie... I don't know what A.J. Styles was trying to accomplish with that attack on the champion tonight. I really don't."
Saddler: "He cost Jim Powers the match... wait. No. Powers was clearly getting pinned there when Styles attacked. I wonder, though... will Jim Powers get another shot at Savage? I'm curious about that much."
We very quickly rejoin the lovely Miss Cindy in the ring so she can bring us...
*The Midnight Express (Bobby Eaton & Dennis Condrey w/ Jim Cornette) vs. Mikey Whipwreck & Justin Credible
Condrey and Eaton have their hands full with Credible and Whipwreck for a bit, but they're too good at double-teaming and the art of quick tags to stay down for too long. Once Mikey gets isolated in the corner of the Midnighters, the match soon comes to a close with a VEG-O-MATIC. Credible is pretty salty after the match but Cornette and his men head back to the locker rooms unscathed.
Winners of the Match: The Midnight Express!
Cantrell: "Mister James E. Cornette and his men with a pretty significant win here tonight, Frankie. Another team to watch."
Saddler: "I love Corny and the boys, Mike! Looking forward to great things coming from them in the future."
Once the dust settles, we join Miss Cindy for the last time tonight so she can introduce the main event...
*Harley Race (w/ Larry Hennig) vs. "MIllion Dollar Man" Ted DiBiase (N.E.W. World Champion w/ J.J. Dillon)
Race and DiBiase go to war once again here in Manhattan tonight. The upper hand passes from man to man multiple times during the course of things. Race gets out of the COBRA CLUTCH on two different occassions but eventually escapes out of the ring for a breather. The scuffle on the outside seems to reinvigorate the challenger and he cleans DiBiase's clock. Things end up back in the ring where Race nails blasts the champion with a VERTICAL SUPLEX and goes for a cover. Things look bad for the champion until his manager sticks his nose into the match and saves his man... and the belt. Larry Hennig gives Dillon the scare of his life and soon enough the match continues. Harley Race... sensing victory... picks up the dazed DiBiase and plants him firmly onto the mat with a PILEDRIVER! Race goes for the pin as Hennig keeps Dillon from interfering and the match end in a three count! Race and Hennig look to celebrate the amazing win but it's cut short by a run-in by Virgil and the younger Hennig. Race and the Axe fight valiantly but are soon overwhelmed when DiBiase and Dillon recover and get involved. Things look pretty bleak for the new champion and his longtime friend until the North American champion Kevin Steen hits the ring brandishing a steel chair! The ring is cleared and Steen stands in the center of the ring holding the chair and practically begging DiBiase to come back into the ring.
Winner of the Match and NEW N.E.W. Champion: Harley Race!
Cantrell: "Harley Race makes history tonight in New York City, Frankie! I, for one, can not be happier! He is our new champion and deservedly so!"
Saddler: "Mark my words, Mike: this is far from over."
The show ends with our new World champion standing tall in the ring with his old friend Larry Hennig while Kevin Steen paces back and forth trying to get DiBiase and crew to man up and get back into the ring.
*The End*

Kevin Steen wiping out Playboy Buddy Rose & Buff Bagwell was hilarious. I have to say that Rose and Bagwell pairing will provide some great comedy especially with hot pink silk jackets. Harley Race snatches the gold away from Ted Dibiase in a wild main event with Steen once again making his presence known. Nice to see The Shield winning and I look for big things from them in NEW, especially if they align themselves with Dibiase and J.J. Dillon.

New Era Wrestling -Card #9- (Buffalo, NY)
The show opens up with a shot of the backstage area where "Ravishing" Rick Rude and his manager Percy Pringle III are waiting. Rude looks at the camera and sneers.
Rude: "Buffalo, New York. Let me start by saying this: I've never liked this town. But tonight, that's going to change. You see, tonight I will be leaving Buffalo as the next North American Champion. That's right. Kevin Steen... you're on notice. Better spend all your free time here tonight hugging and kissing that shiny, gold belt all you can because when tonight's main event is over it'll be me with my hand raised. Count on that!"
Next up, we join our broadcasting team and the lovely Miss Cindy at the ready to bring us...
*Cowboy Country (Blackjack Mulligan & Sam Houston w/ "Cowboy" Scott Casey) vs. PG-13 (J.C. Ice & Wolfie D w/ Jimmy Hart)
The cowboys have all the momentum in the early stages of the match and Jimmy Hart is bordering on having a stroke as Wolfie D has to dive into the ring to make the save and keep the match going. A hot tag eventually gets Wolfie into the match properly and the boys from The Hood do their level best to put Houston down. Mulligan has to make a save to keep things going before things turn around after J.C. Ice misses a turnbuckle charge on Sam who takes advantage of the situation with a quick roll-up and pin attempt. J.C. manages to kick out just in time (and Hart is relieved beyond words on the outside) and Sam tags in big Blackjack Mulligan. The big man tosses Hart's man around the ring like a rag doll for a bit before he looks to end it all with a CLAWHOLD! Wolfie D runs in to break up the hold but he's cut off by Sam Houston and the match ends with the Texans getting their hands raised. Hart and his men read the ref the riot act but it doesn't change a thing.
Winners of the Match: Cowboy Country!
Cantrell: "A big win here tonight for the Texan team of Cowboy Country, Frankie. They might just be a team to watch in the coming months."
Saddler: "We'll see, Mike. We'll see."
Once Jimmy Hart and crew are finally talked into leaving the ringside area we can go back to Miss Cindy for her next introductions...
*Ilio DiPaolo vs. Bob Roop (w/ Kevin Sullivan)
Roop and his diabolical manager seem to have the Italian sensation's number here tonight and things look bleak... until Roop makes a critical mistake after whipping DiPaolo into the ropes. Ilio counters with a quick roll-up and gets a three count before Sullivan or Roop knows what hits them. (Rolled Snake Eyes on two rolls in a row!) After the match, DiPaolo has to deal with the sudden emergence of "Doctor Death" Steve Williams, who joins the other members of the Varsity Club as they surround the ring. The dastardly heels circle the ring as Ilio valiantly stands his ground... until the Sandman rushes to ringside brandishing his Singapore Cane! Sullivan and company choose discretion as the better part of valor and leave the victorious Ilio DiPaolo and the still-injured Sandman triumphant in the middle of the ring to the great joy of the fans!
Winner of the Match: Ilio DiPaolo!
Cantrell: "Surprised to see Sandman make his presence known here tonight! I'd wager that his timely arrival most likely spared Ilio DiPaolo a beating like the one that he, himself, took."
Saddler: "Good timing on Sandman's part, Mike. Those guys in the Varsity Club are just big jerks."
After the cheering crowd allows Sandman and the victorious DiPaolo to leave the ringside area we once again return to Miss Cindy for her next set of introductions...
*Marti Belle vs. "Pretty Bad Ass" Kelly Klein (w/ Madison Rayne)
Marti and Kelly have a throwdown of epic proportions here tonight, and Belle gives a good accounting of herself before eventually succumbing to THE END OF THE MATCH. After the match, as Klein and Rayne celebrate, we see that Trish Stratus and Cheerleader Melissa are standing at the Gorilla position. Klein gestures to the two, beckoning them to come join her in the ring but Trish and Melissa just trun and walk back behind the curtain.
Winner of the Match: Kelly Klein!
Soon afterwards, we return to the backstage interview area where Amy Lee is waiting for us. Alongside her are Kelly Klein and N.E.W.'s Women's Champion Madison Rayne fresh from ringside.
Lee: "Welcome, ladies. Allow me to be the first to congratulate you on your win tonight, here, Kelly...."
Rayne: "Stow it, honey. Did you see what we saw out there, Amy Lee? Did you see Trish Stratus and her loser friend Cheerleader Melissa out there trying to intimidate us? Did you also see how they backed away like cowards when we invited them to come join us in the ring?"
Lee: "I did see them, yes. However... I don't know if calling them cowardly is going to help things out any. Next week, Madison, you'll be facing Cheerleader Melissa for your N.E.W. Women's title... and I've been told on good authority that Trish Stratus has been given permission to be Melissa's second during the match."
Madison and Klein both react poorly to the announcement and storm off with the champion shouting back over her should "WE'll see about that!"
It doesn't take long before we go back to ringside to join the always lovely Miss Cindy for her introductions of...
*"Dastardly" Danny Doring (w/ Amish Roadkill) vs. D-Lo Brown (w/ Koko B. Ware)
Doring and D-Lo go round and round here in Buffalo tonight in an excellent little match that sees a handful of near falls and close calls before Danny manages to put D-Lo away with a G-Spot Sweep and a DANACONDA. Doring and Roadkill celebrate their win as Koko checks on his partner's well being.
Winner of the Match: Danny Doring!
Cantrell: "The Gangsters of Love finally get a win in the record books when facing off against the guys in Jungle Boogie, Frankie."
Saddler: "Mike... even a broken clock is right at least twice a day. Anything can happen here in New Era Wrestling."
Once Doring and Roadkill clear the ring and head to the back, Cindy Shepherd once again enters the ring to bring us...
*The Hot Mess Express ( "Playboy" Buddy Rose & Buff Bagwell) vs. The Fantastics (Bobby Fulton & Tommy Rogers)
Rose and Bagwell actually almost seem to be working well together for a few moments but they eventually and spectacularly fail to stand up to the teamwork of Fulton and Rogers.
Winners of the Match: The Fantastics!
For the last time of the night, we go to ringside to join Miss Cindy so that she can bring us tonight's main event...
*"Ravishing" Rick Rude (w/ Percy Pringle III) vs. "Wrestling's Worst Nightmare" Kevin Steen (N.E.W. North American Champion)
Steen is on fire tonight and really takes the fight to the challenger for the first few minutes of the match and even gets in a very close near fall on Rude. The champion keeps applying pressure to the challenger and nearly gets another pinfall on Rude! Percy Pringle gets involved in the match, climbing up onto the apron and making a spectacle of himself... getting the attention of both the referee and Kevin Steen. Steen rushes Pringle and shoves him to the floor! While his back is turned, Rude recovers enough to blindside the champion with a cheap shot that sets up a RUDE AWAKENING! Rude immediately goes for a cover and... much to everyone's horror... the ref counts to three and ends the match! Percy and Rude celebrate by holding the North American championship belt high as they make a hasty retreat to the back before Kevin Steen can fully recover.
Winner of the Match and NEW N.E.W. North American Champion: "Ravishing" Rick Rude!
Cantrell: "We have a new North American champion! This is huge, Frankie!"
Saddler: "Rick Rude is the man, Mike. I expect to see him hold that title for a while. Just wait."
The show ends with a very unhappy Kevin Steen berating Senior Official Bud Gordon while Rude and Pringle still celebrate and mock the former champion as they slowly make their way to the backstage area.
*The End*

First off I love seeing "Ravishing" Rick Rude paired up with Percy Pringle III, that brings back great memories. Then to top it off Rude beats Kevin Steen to win the NEW North American title in what was a tough loss for Steen. The Hot Mess Express, that is awesome. Too bad they lost but beating The Fantastics is no easy task. Cowboy Country could be making some noise soon as they pick up another solid win. I really like the idea of a Cheerleader Melissa & Trish Stratus feud with Madison Rayne & Kelly Klein. Best of all to me was seeing Buffalo's own Ilio DiPaolo pick up a big win over Bob Roop.
I have to ask, is that great star in your avatar going to head to N.E.W. soon? He would really shake things up if he joined the promotion.

As always, Crue my friend, I appreciate the commentary and the continued support.
I think I've got some good stuff brewing with things but I will say this...
When I first started buying LOW sets and I saw the first Bruiser Brody card I marked out. Brody has always been one of my favorites going back to the days when I was just a kid.
Now, when we got the color starter set and I got to see a COLOR Brody card I marked the f%&k out so, of course he'll be making an appearance in N.E.W. soon enough. I don't think I can bring myself to have a fed with a men's division and NOT have Brody in it.
That said, in three or four cards, after my first 'Pay Per View' event, I plan on starting to slowly add some more talent to the roster.
Keep an eye out for the big man.
Side note: I'm really glad that the name 'Hot Mess Express' made at least one person laugh.

New Era Wrestling -Card #10- (Pittsburgh, PA)
After a nice wide shot of the arena, we're taken to a part of the backstage area where young Jim Powers waits, pacing.
Powers: "I know I wasn't exactly winning my match against Randy Savage but I'd like to think that I didn't need... or want... the 'help' from A.J. Styles. Some people say that Savage already had the match won but I disagree. I disagree so strongly that I begged and pleaded with Mr. Costello and Mr. Murphy to give me one more shot to prove myself. Amazingly, they said yes! So tonight... tonight... I have another chance to show the world that I belong here in New Era Wrestling. Tonight... I'm going to become the Television champion!"
From there we go to the broadcast position to see that the always lovely Miss Cindy Shepherd is already in the ring, ready to bring us...
*Rob Van Dam (w/ Bill Alfonso) vs. "The Unpredictable" Johnny Rodz
Despite getting in a few good shots of his own here and there, RVD makes short work of Rodz with a brutal VAN TERMINATOR. RVD and Fonzie are quite pleased with themselves as they leave the ring while the official checks on the fallen Rodz.
Winner of the Match: Rob Van Dam!
Cantrell: "Impressive win from Rob Van Dam here tonight, Frankie. I have to wonder, though: was that last thing really necessary?"
Saddler: "You may not like his methods, Mike, but there's no arguing with the results."
In fairly short order, we once again join Miss Cindy in the ring for her introductions of...
*The Killer Bees (B. Brian Blair & 'Jumping' Jim Brunzell) vs. The Sheepherders (Butch Miller & Luke Williams w/ Captain Lou Albano)
The Kiwi Sheepherders own the match almost from the opening bell onward. The Bees just can not catch a break that lasts for any significant amount of time until late into the match when the duo uses their masked confusion tactics to turn the tide in their favor. The result of the sneaky trick sees Blair pin Miller with a SMALL PACKAGE as a horrified Captain Lou looks on. The Bees don't wait around too long to celebrate, as both Miller and Williams seem quite ready to keep the violence going.
Winners of the Match: The Killer Bees!
Cantrell: "The Killer Bees finally pick up a win here in New Era Wrestling, Frankie. I'm not sure I approve of their methods... but as you say: they got the job done."
Saddler: "Sometimes that's all that matters, Mike."
After Albano and company are done venting their frustrations out on the referee, Miss Cindy can once again get into the ring to bring us...
*Koko B. Ware (w/ D'Lo Brown) vs. Mikey Whipwreck (w/ Danny Doring)
It's a fast and furious back-and-forth match between Ware... representing Jungle Boogie... and Whipwreck... representing the ECW Originals. Ware eventually gets things going in his favor for a long stretch and actually hits Mikey with a pair of GHOSTBUSTERs that Whipwreck manages to kick out of each time! Things continue to get crazy and eventually we see Mikey reverse his fortunes and up on the offensive again. A FRankenmikey on WAre from out of nowhere leads to Whipwreck getting a surprising pinfall victory over Koko! Whipwreck and Doring celebrate like they just won the lottery while Brown escorts his partner back to the locker room area.
Winner of the Match: Mikey Whipwreck!
Cantrell: "I learned a long time ago, Frankie: never count Mikey Whipwreck out until you know for a fact that he's out for good."
Saddler: "A great win for young Mikey here tonight, Mike. For whatever reason, though, the rivalry between the boys in Jungle Boogie and the crew of ECW Originals just doesn't ever seem to end."
Up next we journey backstage to the interview area where Amy Lee is waiting for us with her guests... World champion Harley Race and Larry "The Axe" Hennig.
Lee: "Hello again, gentlemen. Congratulations on upending Million Dollar Man Ted DiBiase to become World champion, Mister Race."
Race: "Thank you, Amy Lee. I don't want to sound too full of myself here tonight, but I feel a need to say this: I am World champion of New Era Wrestling for a reason. You might call it fate. You might call it destiny. You might... falsely... call it luck. It doesn't matter in the end though, does it Miss Lee? I am World champion and I will remain World champion for as long as I please because I am simply the best there is in this sport today."
Lee: "Hard ot argue with success, champ. Mister Hennig? You had something to add?"
Hennig: "I did. Thank you, Miss Lee. My son Curt is undoubtedly one of the best to ever lace up a pair of boots but he's always had horrible taste in friends. Sometimes I think I didn't discipline him enough when he was a child. Well, we're going to fix that... if Curt is man enough to accept my challenge... at Spring Showdown in Washington, D.C. in just a few short weeks. AS a parent, one normally hates to think of resorting to violence and capital punishment on one's kids. Well, Curt, you've got a beating coming your way. If you've got the guts to face me like a man. Just you and me. No one at ringside. No manager. No allies. Just you and me, kid. I promise it'll be over quickly."
Race and Hennig make their exits from the interview stage and we return to ringside for...
*The Empire of the Rising Sun (Fuji & Saito) vs. The Gangsters of Love (Danny Doring & Amish Roadkill)
Doring and Roadkill really take it to the Japanese duo in the early stages of the match and things look really good for them until Saito manages to get back to his own corner... bringing in Fuji. Fuji wastes no time in laying into Doring and brings the Dastradly One to a very dangerous position that requires Roadkill to jump in to the ring to make the save. The match continues until a very clearly frustrated Fuji throws salt in Doring's eyes! The ref immediately calls for the bell, awarding the match to the Gangsters! Though happy that they picked up a win here tonight, Doring and Roadkill are in no mood to celebrate.
Winners of the Match: Doring & Roadkill!
Cantrell: "I don't understand why Fuji resorted to throwing salt, Frankie. The Empire pretty much had the match won before he threw it away like that."
Saddler: "Hard to say what goes on in the mind of a crafty devil like Fuji, Mike."
It takes a bit for the ring to clear out, but once it happens, we once again get to have Miss Cindy bring us...
*Cheerleader Melissa (w/ Trish Stratus) vs. Madison Rayne (N.E.W. Women's Champion w/ Kelly Klein)
The champion is clearly not prepared for the onslaught that Melissa brings her in this match and she ends up on the receiving end of a major beating at the hands of Cheerleader Melissa. With the end of the match looming... with Melissa clearly in control... Kelly Klein makes her presence felt with an unprovoked attack on the challenger! Trish jumps into the ring to pull Klein off of Melissa and the referee is left with no choice but to call for the bell, awarding the match... but not the title... to Melissa. It takes a handful of officials to pull all four of the ladies apart.
Winner of the Match: Cheerleader Melissa!
Cantrell: "Madison Rayne once again escapes with her title intact, Frankie. I'm afraid it's going ot take something crazy to get that belt away from her."
Saddler: "This rivalry continues to build, Mike. I'm pretty sure we're going to have to see some kind of specialty match at the Pay Per View to settle this once and for all."
When the dust settles and the ladies all finally are removed from the ringside area, we join Miss Cindy for the last time of the night so she can bring us tonight's Main Event...
*Jim Powers vs. "Macho Man" Randy Savage (N.E.W. Television Champion w/ Sherri Martel)
Savage is all over Powers like a cheap suit from the start of the match! Powers gets in a little offense here and there but he is pretty much out of his league here tonight. A FLYING ELBOW SMASH looks like it's going to put Powers away for good when A.J. Styles hits the ring and breaks up the pin attempt while Sherri Martel tries to get the referee to turn around so that he can see the interference and be done with it. Styles lays Savage out with a STYLES CLASH and quickly departs the ringside area. Powers gets to his feet first and... with Sherri Martel screaming at Senior Official Bud Gordon... hits the champion with a big POWER SLAM and goes for a cover! Martel tries to distract everyone but it's too little, too late and Gordon counts to three (rolled snake eyes) and ends the match! Powers is as stunned and surprised as everyone else when his hand is raised and he is awarded the N.E.W. Television title belt! Macho Man ends his celebrating early with a brutal attack from behind before leaving the ring with Sherri. On their way to the back, Savage and Martel vow that they'll get the belt back when Savage gets his rematch in just a few short weeks!
Winner of the Match and NEW N.E.W. Television Champion: Jim Powers!
Cantrell: "Talk about a Cinderella story, Frankie! I'd never... in a million years... would have predicted that Jim Powers would be the man to unseat Randy Savage!"
Saddler: "Hope he takes a lot of pictures with that belt, Mike. He won't be holding it long. Mark my words."
The show ends with a jubilant Jim Powers celebrating with his new title belt as the crowd cheers... even though there is a smattering of boos.

Bruiser Brody can't come around soon enough but that aside I really enjoyed the last show. Jim Powers over Randy Savage for the N.E.W. Television title was a shocker. It reminded me of Savage losing to Jerry Oske back in his Memphis days. The "Macho Man" and Sherri Martel are two very unhappy people right about now. Cheerleader Melissa came so close to winning the title but Kelly Klein saved Madison Rayne. Klein is a force to be reckoned with and Rayne is lucky to have her as an ally. Big win for the Killer Bees over The Sheepherders and very cool to see ECW alum Rob Van Dam and Mikey Whipwreck in N.E.W.
