BOLA 2017 Night 1

Great show tonight.

I flew into LAX tonight (I should have flown into Burbank) and went to get the rental car I reserved for about $125 for the next 3 days. But when I showed up at the rental car desk they tried to tell me I had to pay them $500 because I only had a debit card and not a credit card (but yet I can use my card as credit so I really don't see the problem- and I used the same card without problems back in July when I rented a car at the Buffalo airport to drive to Jamestown.)

So I asked the rental car company if I paid $500 today would the difference be refunded to me on Monday and they said no it might take at least 10 business days to get my almost other $400 back. So I cancelled my rental car because I refuse to pay that price and just took a Lyft to my hotel in Reseda for about only $30. I really do not need a rental car anyway as my hotel is only about 1 1/2 blocks from PWG for all 3 days and it turns out there is a shuttle station nearby that will take me to LAX for only $8 and they leave every half hour. But this whole rental car issue almost caused me to be late tonight to PWG.

However when I finally got to the Legion Hall, I quickly forgot about that rental car issue and had a great time. I got my Donovan Dijak and Shayna Baszler cards autographed and tonight I made 3 good signings to the game (and I am hoping to get some more signings the next two nights.)

My favorite matches of tonight were Fenix vs Rey Horus and also Keith Lee and Donovan Dijak vs Matt Riddle and Jeff Cobb.

I did not buy any merch tonight but I will probably get some tomorrow. There was a very limited amount of BOLA 2017 shirts for sale tonight, I hope they have more tomorrow so I can buy one.

Sounds like a lot of fun, Vegas. Glad you had a good time and I'll need to have the Chosen Bros team up sometime in my Indy fed.

BOLA is a bucket list weekend for me, for sure. Sounds like a great card. I read that Cobb and Lee were doing some Lucha Style spots early in the tag that were pretty incredible considering their size.

Also read that Fenix and Rey Horus had a great match with lots of high flying and amazing athleticism. Which, after seeing Fenix on Thursday, I can only imagine. He's someone I'd love to have in the game. He was also super nice and humble when I met him. Intense gaze. Makes you feel very heard and appreciated as a fan.

Looking forward to finding out who the signings were down the road!

Glad you were able to get the car thing figured out. Sounds like a headache...
