Saw Winston Churchill film "Darkest Hour" make you wonder where would this world be today . If Churchill hadn't stayed to fight , instead of surrendering to the Nazis . Good film The Darkest Hours is the movie I really want to see (perhaps this weekend.) When I was in California this past weekend there was a 16 screen movie theater directly across the street from my hotel in Woodland Hills. I had some extra time on Saturday before leaving for QPW and, although the times for The Darkest Hour did not work out, I saw the new Liam Neeson movie The Commuter- I give that a B- which is about the same grade I would give some of hos other recent movies I saw such as Run All Night and Non-Stop. |

Not a fall film, but I finally got to watch my screener of Get Out. I liked it and thought it was a fun horror/thriller. However I do think it sort of ended abruptly. Not sure what could have been done, but it felt like there could be more beats to the story. I enjoyed it but I’m not sure it lived up to all the critical and audience hype.
In in other news, glad to see Three Billboards won so many awards at the SAG Awards. I voted for the film in every category nominated. Definitely the best of all the ones I’ve seen so far. Hope to get to my screener of Darkest Hour this week. Also plan on using the MoviePass this week to see Coco before it’s out of theatres.

Finally saw Coco today. Excellent film. Just truly great. Probably should have got a Best Picture nomination.

I've seen Justice League, pretty good!
Last Jedi RULED! Day One blu-ray purchase for me, for sure!
And as a SAW fan, I need to see Jigsaw!

Just watched Darkest Hour. Man, great film. Gary Oldman was incredible. Most of the time I completely forgot it was him, which is the whole point. I can definitely see him winning the Best Actor for this. Only criticism was that I wish the film cover more of his life during the war.
