Anyone see the new Thor yet? If so, what are your thoughts? I believe I am going tomorrow night with a friend. Got tickets for reserved, reclining seats on Sunday morning. I cannot wait. I’ve found going to a 9am showing on Sunday morning after opening provides you with less crowds (and cheaper tickets). I’m sure it’ll be good. Marvel usually knocks it out of the park with their movies. Tv shows on the other hand....I had to stop Inhumas ten minutes into episode 3. It was a stinker. Can’t wait for Punisher though. Punisher is my guy.

I saw the new Thor tonight and I agree with Pete's comments. I am not among those who consider the 2nd Thor the worst of the MCU movies (for me that distinction goes to Iron Man 3) but even so this was alot better than the previous Thor movie. A-

Thor was awesome. I’d kneel for Hela any day.

Thor was awesome. I’d kneel for Hela any day. One of the best MCU movies. I'd put it right up there with the two Guardians Of The Galaxy movies. Cate Blanchett's Hela more than made up for the absence of Natalie Portman's Jane Foster and Jaime Alexander's Lady Sif. Too bad she won't be in a sequel.

I totally agree with you, though Winter Soldier may still be my all time favorite. One thing they got so right in this movie was the appearances by other MCU characters. I often hear people say, "They don't put a lot of characters in movies because they all need time to have a story told." No, they don't and this film was a perfect example. The character who popped up while Thor and Loki were on Earth was perfect. He served his purpose and moved on. Now we just need the MCU to realize it's okay for their Netflix heroes to appear on the big screen as well. Really great continuation of the franchise. Oh, and news today that Disney is in talks to buy parts of 20th Century Fox....we may get to see the X-Men and Fantastic Four in the MCU in the future as well.

It may be too late to have X-Men and FF in Infinity War, but they'd be perfect if Marvel decides to do a 2-part Secret Wars movie. I really enjoyed Winter Soldier too. It was a great homage to all those Cold War spy movies in the 60's. Bucky's story was also a major part of the Civil War movie. I'd like to see a Winter Soldier/Black Widow movie.

That would be great. I’d be there for sure. Even as a kid who was a Star Wars fanatic in the late 70s/early 80s, I’m more interested in seeing a team up film like that than I am in seeing a young Han Solo movie or another ‘Star Wars Story’ film. Not that they are bad or anything, they just don’t have the same appeal to me. And all eyes in the MCU now turn toward Black Panther. That film looks super interesting and, yet again, different from what Marvel has done before. Is it Friday yet? Cannot wait to see The Punisher on Netflix. He’s the hero we need.

I saw Justice League on Thursday night. Rotten Tomatoes only gave it about 38%, but I personally liked it. B-
