In the year 2133, a new holovision channel has popped up. Dubbed DMTV, at a glance, it's just a normal sports channel from the planet Earth. But upon further inspection, it appears that the greatest athletes in the planet's history are competing. Michael Jordan playing LeBron James. Cy Young pitching against Barry Bonds. Sidney Crosby in shootout action against Patrick Roy. No one is sure of where this planet is, or even who is putting this on. But it's very clearly the same cloning technology used by Clone World, though they seem to be disregarding any laws that may prevent them from being perfect clones, as these clones are exact copies. Every sport seems to be represented on the channel, each with it's own respective league. Soon after it's debut, a service begins to bring fans to the events. Fans are loaded onto a windowless ship and travel by hyperspace, as to protect the planet from legal ramifications. Fans began to notice, however, there was no pro wrestling league. They began to complain to network officials that with the Earth's rich wrestling history, it was a tragedy there was no pro wrestling on the channel. They quickly complied, and began amassing competitors for this new league. This is The Crockett Cup.Coming soon! 32 teams of 5 competing in 4 divisions(singles, tag team, hardcore, and women's) with a 5 vs 5 match as a tiebreaker, if needed. The 32 teams will be split into 2 conferences, and then those conferences will be split into 2 divisions. Each team will face every other team in their division. After the first cycle, the bottom halves of each division will switch with the other division in their conference. The top 2 teams from each division will go on to the playoffs, where it will all culminate in the grand finals with the winners walking out with The Crockett Cup and the million dollar cash prize that comes with it!

(This is my first run at a fed and I'm really excited to be able to share it all with you. I got the idea from rjretro after he ran the GWF League. I hope you guys enjoy it! The captains are mostly gonna consist of bootlegs, since I'm looking to use all the cards I have available to me. Since using lots and lots of cards at once would be really hard and overwhelming, using 32 wrestlers in each division is really gonna help me section them off and let me do things at a nice pace I can keep up with. I'll see you guys soon!)

On the afternoon of July 21st, 2133, a massive crowd formed outside the Mercedes-Benz Superdome in New Orleans, Louisiana On the floor of the arena, a massive stage was constructed. There, a trophy was displayed prominently in front of a massive screen. On the stage stood several men in suits, but 3 men in particular stood in front near the podium. These men were the appointed lead officials of The Crockett Cup League. They were none other than Earth wrestling legends Paul Heyman, Eric Bischoff, and Vince McMahon Jr. These 3 polarizing figures may butt heads in a normal situation, but it was their task to ensure the operations of the League went smoothly with limited to no problems. As the last of the fans filed in, Vince McMahon took to the microphone to welcome them.
Vince McMahon: Ladies and gentlemen, I want to be the first to welcome you to this monumental occasion. Tonight we announce the participants of the Crockett Cup. We've already announced most of your captains. And right now, we're going to bring them all to the stage.
With that, the captains make their way to the stage to much fanfare. Hulk Hogan and The Road Warriors being almost mobbed by their loving fans, while Ted DiBiase & IRS and Ric Flair are getting near neuclear heat from the fans. Security has their hands full in trying to keep them away.
Vince McMahon: Look at all of this talent. We did a pretty damn good job of finding the best of the best, don't you all think? But, as all of you know, we left 3 spots open to be decided by you. And I think it's time we revealed who you picked. Paul, if you would do the honors.
Paul Heyman takes the microphone to the sound of cheers.
Paul Heyman: Ladies and gentlemen, my name is Paul Heyman. And for my money, this is the best collection of wrestlers I have ever seen in my life. But now, we're going to add to it. We're going to add 1 more singles captain, 1 more tag team captain, and 1 more hardcore captain. And we're going to start with my favorite, the hardcore captain.
On the massive screen, a collection of pictures flashed of many talented hardcore wrestlers. When it finally stopped, it landed on The Sheik, to many fans ire. The Sheik stormed the stage from behind the crowd, shooting fire into the air and terrifying the audience in attendance. When The Sheik took the stage, the fans began to throw garbage at him, while he shot fire into the air one more time before taking his place among the captains, as Paul Heyman looked on with a gigantic grin.
Paul Heyman: Ya know, you people made the correct choice with that one. I'm going to be delighted to see the carnage The Sheik brings to this League. Now, Eric Bischoff is going to announce the tag team captain.
Paul passed off the mic to Eric, and the two exchanged a really steady and awkward handshake. As he got to the podium, Eric's expression got more expressive and cocky.
Eric Bischoff: If anyone knows about great tag teams, it's me. And this tag team division, is absolutely stacked. Whoever is about to join this field, you have a massive task ahead of you. Let's see who it is.
As the screen lights up again, many tag teams flash across the screen. It stopped on Los Psycho Circus, Murder and Monster Clown. They come out to cheers as they greet fans. Murder and Monster fight their way to the stage and pose to thunderous applause. While they take their place, Vince McMahon takes the microphone to announce the last captain and start the draft process.
Vince McMahon: Well this is it. After this, our field will be complete and we can finally flesh out the entire field. Are you guys excited?
The crowd cheers as the screen starts up for the last time of the night to reveal the final captain. It slows down and the crowd erupts, as Stone Cold Steve Austin is revealed as the final captain. Vince McMahon's face drops, as Paul and Eric bust out laughing at him. Austin makes his way out and is rushed by fans. He fights through them and up to the stage. Once there, he circles the captains and gets in the face of each and every one of them, letting them all know he's going home with the cup. Several of the captains look upset, especially Devil Masami. Once Austin was announced, she rushed to get in the face of Vince, yelling and screaming. Once order is restored and Austin is in his place, Vince takes the mic to start the draft.
Vince McMahon: Well...I don't agree with it. But if it's what you people want. Now that we have everyone here, it's time to begin the draft!
One by one, each captain came up to the podium to make their choices. Several unexpected picks were made, along with several predictable picks. As it all came to an end here is the field looks like!
1. Hulkamaniacs: Hulk Hogan(c), Demolition, Eddie Gilbert, and Wendi Richter
Notes: This was a largely beloved team to assemble. Eddie Gilbert was the odd man out, however, as no one in the crowd was sure why Hogan would pick Gilbert. It turns out, Gilbert was the only one to approach Hogan about being his hardcore wrestler. Even if it was a headscratching decision, this is a formidable team for sure.
2. Team Stallion: Bruno Sammartino(c), The Blackjacks, Bull Curry, and Mercedes Martinez
Notes: Bruno definitely went all out with his picks. He chose the toughest wrestlers he could find, and did a damn good job.
3. Burning Souls: Kenta Kobashi(c), Iron Sheik & Nikolai Volkoff, Rob Van Dam, and Candice LeRae
Notes: Kenta came up to the podium to cheers. But it turned to confused boos as he chose the mega heels Iron Sheik and Nikolai Volkoff. He told the crowd he didn't come to gain crowd approval. He came to win. He went on to choose Rob Van Dam and Candice LeRae, much to surprise to Candice. Later, she told reporters she was expecting to be passed over.
4. One Thousand Millennium: Mil Mascaras(c), Kings of Wrestling, The Crusher, and Saraya Knight
Notes: Even if the name is a bit rubbish, the team is stacked. Many thought Mil would bring along some his masked friends, but that wasn't the case. He also seemed to do his best to make the entire night all about him by drawing attention from his picks back to himself immediately.
5. Degeneration X: Shawn Michaels(c), New Age Outlaws, Triple H, and Chyna
Notes: This one was a no brainer. Shawn brought his friends to the party, and they're looking to take everything by being loud and in everyone's face.
6. Los Ingobernables de Japon: Tetsuya Naito(c), BUSHI/EVIL/SANADA, Rush, and Jessicka Havok
Notes: As said about Shawn above, Naito also brought his crew along, with Jessicka Havok as the big new recruit. As with The New Day, the Freebird Rule will be used for LIJ in the tag division. They'll decide what combination of BUSHI, EVIL, and SANADA will enter the match with the one not chosen remaining at ringside.
7. The Horsemen: Ric Flair(c), Arn Anderson & Ole Anderson, Tully Blanchard, and Charlotte
Notes: One of the big favorites of the tournament, Ric Flair looks to lead his team to a big cash prize and more bragging rights than they should have access to.
8. The Rattlesnakes: Stone Cold Steve Austin(c), Outlaw Inc, Brian Pillman, and Paige
Notes: Austin had the entire crowd in the palm of his hand as he made his choices. It seemed like he made picks that he knew would get under the skin of management, as they all were choices that loved to buck authority. Every member of the team then tried to get into it with everyone else on stage, until security forced them back.
9. The Warriors of Doom: Ultimate Warrior, The Road Warriors(c), Kensuke Sasaki, and Akira Hokuto
Notes: It's power and paint! The Road Warriors have positioned themselves as another big favorite with their choices. They decided to bring in their old partner in for the hardcore division under his Power Warrior persona. Along with him, came his equally tough and talented wife, under the new guise of Mummy Warrior. To round out came the snarling Ultimate Warrior. The 5 then cut a very passioned, and loud promo, with Ultimate Warrior going on a tangent about a spaceship and energy.
10. The Mega Powers of Positivity: Randy Savage, The New Day(c), Buzz Sawyer, and Penny Banner
Notes: The New Day arrived with their usual antics and silliness to the delight of the crowd. They pulled out some big ringers for their team, and decided on a play on Savage's old team name. At any rate, this tournament has a good choice of proving NEW DAY ROCKS.
11. Million Dollar Inc: Andre the Giant, Ted DiBiase & IRS(c), The Undertaker, and Asuka
Notes: If you ask me, friends and viewing public, if Ted DiBiase walks out with the cup, he bought it. Andre was approached by every captain that could possibly take him, but when DiBiase showed him a briefcase full of money, his choice was clear. The same goes for the female juggernaut, Asuka. As for The Undertaker, it's extremely unsure how The Million Dollar Man aquired the services of the Dead Man. What is for sure, is that this is a truly scary team.
12. Team Wristlock: Bryan Danielson, QuackenSAW(c), Freddie Blassie, and Manami Toyota
Notes: Mike Quackenbush & Jigsaw dug into their bag of friends for Bryan Danielson and Manami Toyota. But Quack made the decision for Freddie Blassie to join his team almost last minute. The technical wizard had no one that liked him who was registered for the hardcore division. So when he went through the list, he was delighted to see "The Vampire" without a flag to bear. When approached, Blassie jumped at the chance for the money.
13. King’s Road: Nigel McGuinness, Inoki & Baba(c), Terry Funk, and Awesome Kong Notes: There's not much to say about this one. The two legendary heads of Japanese wrestling drafted the toughest gaijins they've ever come across to compliment their own greatness.
14. Dudleyville Destroyers: Matt Cross, The Dudley Boys(c), Dusty Rhodes, and Jazz Notes: Okay, so this one was a massive hodgepodge of styles and ideals. The Dudley Boys are one of the most decorated tag teams in history, but they are absolutely out of their mind. So what caused them to choose the world traveled high flyer Matt Cross, the American Dream, or "The Baddest Bitch" is only going to ever be known to them. Whatever their reasoning, this is a tough team.
15. The Kingdom: Adam Cole, The Kingdom(c), Super Leather, and Aja Kong
Notes: ADAM COLE BAYBAY!...*ahem* Sorry about that. It's just catchy. Taven and Bennett had to make some out there picks. Aja Kong agreed to their female competitor fairly easily. But they had so much trobule to get a hardcore wrestler to even speak with them that they had to make a decision while at the podium. Super Leather was available, and insane, so to The Kingdom he went.
16. Psycho Circus: Psycho Clown, Murder Clown & Monster Clown(c), Pagano, and Command Bolshoi
Notes: The Clowns from Mexico went with some predictable picks in their brothers in paint Psycho and Pagano. Whether or not those two can keep their fists out of each others faces has yet to be seen. However, the most interesting choice was the Japanese vet, Command Bolshoi. This team is a timebomb waiting to implode!
17. The Unpredictable: Lou Thesz, Moondog's, Mick Foley(c), and Dump Matsumoto
Notes: This team has one of the most interesting stories out of the entire League. When Lou Thesz was contacted about joining The League, he assumed he would be a first ballot captain. But when he arrived to the Superdome that night, he was informed that wasn't the case and that captains had been chosen. He was outraged and began to throw things backstage in anger. During the draft, he looked on in horror and confusion now that Mick Foley, a person he didn't even consider a real wrestler, was now his captain. When Mick chose the Moondog's and Dump Matsumoto to round out this team, Lou stormed off stage.
18. Suzuki-gun: Zack Sabre Jr, Killer Elite Squad, Minoru Suzuki(c), and Shayna Baszler Notes: When announced as a captain, the only question anyone had for him was "Who is your choice for the women's division?" Well, we finally have an answer. The MMA star, Shayna Baszler. With ZSJ in the singles division and the Killer Elite Squad as their tag team, they may well be the darkhorse of The League.
19. SICK Soldiers: Dean Malenko, reDRagon, Nick Mondo(c), and Madison Eagles
Notes: This was a case of a captain going out of their own comfort zone to fill out their team. Mondo chose 4 of the most techincal wrestlers he could find, and was a group this one is.
20. The Bullets: Moose, The Steiner Brothers, Atushi Onita(c), and Crazy Mary Dobson Notes: Onita is looking to take The League by surprise with his team. Moose and The Steiner Brothers bring more than enough power, while Dobson brings an unstable factor. If anyone looks passed this team, they'll get put down.
21. The Flock: Michael Elgin, The Pitbulls, Raven(c), and Kelly Klein
Notes: Raven brought out the heavy hitters with the "Unbreakable" Michael Elgin, along with his familiar allies The Pitbulls. Kelly Klein was brought in to continue her path of dominance.
22. Cero Miedo: Drew Galloway, The Eliminators, Pentagon Jr(c), and Dynamite Kansai Notes: Another hodgepodge of a team, this international collection of wrestlers are looking to show the rest of The League they have CERO MIDEO.
23. World Class Dynasty: Kerry Von Erich, Kevin & David Von Erich, Fritz Von Erich(c), and Judy Martin
Notes: Fritz brought the stars of his own promotion to The League. His own boys Kerry, Kevin, and David join their dad, along with Glamour Girl Judy Martin.
24. The Crusaders: Dr. Wagner Jr, Sting and Lex Luger, The Sheik(c), and Mia Yim Notes: The Sheik made some odd choices for who he is. The Mexican superstar Dr. Wagner Jr. was chosen first, while Sting and Luger were the big shocker, and Mia Yim was brought in because reportadly The Sheik has the utmost confidence she is the best option.
25. The Queen’s Army: The Rock, The Briscoe’s, Kevin Sullivan, and Trish Stratus(c) Notes: The crowd favorite walking in, Trish walked out with confusion hanging over her. The decision to draft The Rock was seen as a no-brainer. The Briscoe's and Kevin Sullivan shocked the fans. Why would Trish pick these hardened rednecks and a Satan worshipper? The Queen of Queens wants to win, that's why.
26. Team Extreme: Jerry Lynn, The Hardy Boys, Yoshihiro Tajiri, and Lita(c) Notes: Lita rekindles old alliances with The Hardy's, while taking "The New F'n Show" and "The Japanese Buzzsaw" to round out an impressive team.
27. The Undisputed: AJ Styles, Miracle Violence Connection, Mike Awesome, and Fabulous Moolah(c) Notes: Moolah took a look at the draft pools and only selected who she sees as the objective best possible. The Fabulous One has promised to go undefeated in her division, along with taking home the cup without a problem.
28. Blissfits: Stan Hansen, Bruiser Brody & Jimmy Snuka, Roddy Piper, and Alexa Bliss(c)
Notes: This was...a heated situation. Hansen, Brody, Snuka, and Piper all had fits when Alexa Bliss announced them as her drafts. Hansen got in the face of Vince McMahon saying "there was no way he was going to be captained by a glittery little b**ch" while Brody and Snuka tried to destroy the stage. Piper, instead of joining in this carnage, looked to get in the face of Bliss. Bliss responded to this by saying she "didn't pick you to be my friend. I picked you to take out each and every wrestler in this league."
29. Almas de Apache: Tiger Mask, Edge and Christian, The Sandman, and Faby Apache(c) Notes: The Lucha legend has a great team backing her up. Tiger Mask and The Sandman are elites in their respective divisions, while Edge and Christian are going to upset opponents who don't take them seriously.
30. Worldwide Underground: John Morrison, PJ Black & Jack Evans, L.A. Park, and Taya Valkyrie(c)
Notes: Taya brought some old friends with her in Morrison, Black, and Evans. But she faced the same problem a lot of other captains did in that no hardcore wrestler wanted anything to do with her. It looked bad for her until L.A. Park approached her. Taya was unsure about The Chairman but soon was convinced by the legend to let him carry her hardcore banner.
31. Black Devils: Rick Rude, Bad Intentions, Masato Tanaka, and Bull Nakano(c) Notes: Nakano put together a scary stable to fit her own reputation. The legitimate badasses Rick Rude, Masato Tanaka, Giant Bernard, and Karl Anderson back up Bull's own badassery. Some heads are going to get busted by this team.
32. Holy Devil Army: Jushin Liger, Holy Demon Army, New Jack, and Devil Masami(c)
Notes: Devil Masami was reported in yelling and screaming about Steve Austin being a captain during the draft process. Apparently, he was her choice for a singles wrestler and was very angry when it was taken from her. In his place, the elite Jushin Liger was chosen, which more than makes up for losing Austin. The Holy Demon Army, Toshiaki Kawada and Akira Taue, join this group as a scary tag team many didn't expect to deal with. Rounding it out, arguably the most dangerous man in wrestling history, New Jack joins with a promise to take out anyone in his way.
Vince McMahon: And there we have it! Your entire field for the first season of The Crockett Cup! We want to thank you al-
Vince was cut off by The Rattlesnakes once again trying to start a fight with the entire League. It's when Austin got to Stan Hansen did the heat get turned up to 11! Hansen shoved Austin which started a full scale brawl. Cameras were heard snapping pictures as the entire League brawled on the floor of the Superdome, with security desperately trying to regain order. Punches were being throw, chairs were flying, blood was spilled by several of the wrestlers. After what seemed like a lifetime, security finally began to regain order. The cameras got close-ups of each captain, ending with a bleeding Steve Austin still jawing for a fight as we fade to black.
(Hey guys! Sorry for the wait. Life got in the way of this going up way sooner. Also, sorry for the long read and if it's difficult to get through in places. Soon after this goes up, I'll be posting the schedule for the first week! Stay tuned!)

July 23rd, 2133 at The Superdome on DMTV
Live from The Superdome in New Orleans, Louisiana on beautiful Earth-2! This is the first night of The Crockett Cup! Introducing your hosts! COMBOT-1 & COMBOT-2!
COMBOT-1: Hello ladies and gentlemen and welcome to The Crockett Cup! I'm COMBOT-1. And besides me is my partner COMB-
COMBOT-2: Shut up, One! I don't need you to introduce me, my greatness is visible!
COMBOT-1: Whatever you say, partner. How great is this crowd looking tonight? We're in for a great night of action!
COMBOT-2: If we can agree on anything, it's that this is one stacked League. I personally don't see how World Class Dynasty or the Hulkamaniacs can lose tonight!
SICK Soldiers(1-0) defeat World Class Dynasty(0-1) 3-1 Judy Martin defeated Madison Eagles with a Powerbomb reDRagon defeated Kevin & David Von Erich after an ARMaggedon and repeated kicks to the head of David Dean Malenko defeated Kerry Von Erich after a Dragon Suplex transitioned into a cobra clutch with body scissors Nick Mondo defeats Fritz Von Erich after an Assault Driver Notes: The first match of The Crockett Cup is in the books! reDRagon vs Kevin & David was an instant classic. Judy Martin made quick work of Madison Eagles. Dean Malenko simply outclassed Kerry when it came to mat wrestling. And Mondo and Fritz beat each other to bloody pulps, but Mondo was the one to pick up the win. After he was pinned, Fritz had to be helped to the back by his team.
The Mega Powers of Positivty(1-0) defeat Worldwide Underground(0-1) 3-1 The New Day defeated PJ Black & Jack Evans after a Midnight Hour to Black L.A. Park defeat Buzz Sawyer after repeated chair shots and a La Parkinator Randy Savage defeated John Morrison after a diving elbow Penny Banner defeated Taya Valkyrie after an inside cradle Notes: Big E & Kofi Kingston had their hands full with the high flying duo of Evans & Black, almost losing to a 450. But it was a Midnight Hour after Big E plucked Black out of the air that picked up the win. L.A. Park staggered but soon got his hands on his chair and it was over for Buzz. Savage didn't give Mundo a chance as he punched him in the face and dropped the elbow. And Penny Banner surprised Taya after a hard fought contest with an inside cradle.
The Undisputed(1-0) defeated Hulkamaniacs(0-1) 3-1 A.J. Styles defeated Hulk Hogan after a Styles Clash Miracle Violence Connection defeated Demolition after a Piledriver on Smash Mike Awesome defeated Eddie Gilbert after an Awesome Bomb off the top rope through a table Wendi Richter defeated Fabulous Moolah after countering a sunset flip for a pin Notes: Styles and Hogan was a dream match that delivered in spades! 3 countered Styles Clashes and 2 missed Leg Drops. 4th time was a charm as Styles got Hogan in this clash of greatness. Gordy & Williams cut the ring off of Demolition like it was nothing. An Oriental Spike and a Piledriver put Smash away as Williams cut off Ax. Mike Awesome dominated Gilbert in a short contest. Moolah was left stunned and proved to be a liar as her boast from Draft Day has already been dashed. She went for a sunset flip on Wendi, but Wendi fluidly dropped to her knees and rolled up Moolah for the flash pin.
Team Wristlock(1-0) defeated Burning Souls(0-1) 3-1 Bryan Danielson defeated Kenta Kobashi after making him pass out to a Crossface Chickenwing QuackenSAW defeated Iron Sheik & Nikolai Volkoff after a Quackendriver II on Iron Sheik Rob Van Dam defeated Freddie Blassie after a Five Star Frog Splash Manami Toyota defeated Candice LeRae after a Victory Star Drop Notes: Danielson and Kobashi hit each other. Hard. A lot. Both men have black eyes leaving this match. Danielson ducked a lariat and locked on a Crossface Chickenwing to end it. Kobashi fought to get out, but was in the hold for too long before passing out. QuackenSAW ran circles around the international mega heels. Jigsaw assisted Quackenbush in lifting the Iron Sheik for the Quackendriver II and the win. Rob Van Dam tried his hardest to avoid the teeth of Freddie Blassie and succeeded, kicking a chair into them instead. Van Dam hits a Five Star Frog Splash for the victory. LeRae was visibly nervous at facing a legend in Toyota, but she soon shook it off and controlled the majority of the match. It was when she went for a moonsault and Toyota pushed her legs out from under her that it spelled her end. Toyota hit a Victory Star Drop soon after, driving LeRae's head into the mat for the win.
COMBOT-1: What a night of wrestling! If this is any idication, this tournament is going to be one to remember forever!
COMBOT-2: That's right! And I told you! World Classy Dynasty and the Hulkamaniacs had no chance of winning tonight! What losers!
COMBOT-1: Partner...I don't think that's what you said.
COMBOT-2: Shut up, One! Nobody asked you! Do your job and announce tomorrow night's match-ups!
COMBOT-1: Well, alright. Tomorrow night we have Division 2 action! The Bullets are gonna take on Suzuki-gun. Million Dollar Inc face the Black Devils! The Kingdom meets the Blissfits! And The Rattlesnakes tangle with The Horsemen! Any predictions, Two?
COMBOT-2: The Kingdom are gonna take it all!
COMBOT-1: Are you sure, partner? Their name may be a bit out there, but the Blissfits are a tough team.
COMBOT-2: I don't need to stand here and take this! Where's my agent!?
COMBOT-1: Well, while we sort that out, I'm One and I want to wish you all a great night.
Tomorrow night's matches The Bullets vs Suzuki-gun Million Dollar Inc vs Black Devils The Kingdom vs Blissfits The Rattlesnakes vs The Horsemen
