Hi!
Okay, this has nothing to do with that Varying Playing Stat chart I discussed on Sunday, but here is an idea I had a long time ago, but wasn't able to post a pic of way back then.
WHAT IF the playing cards were expanded to a 2d6 roll instead of the 1d6 roll we have now? What would that look like? Well, here's a sample bootleg so you can see it in action! It looks quite a bit like Strat-O Baseball!
Some of the things I would make sure all cards would have if they were expanded like this:
* All Level 1 Offense # 7 would have a (pw) or (ag) on them.
* All Level 2 Offense # 7 would have a "move--3" on them.
* All Level 3 Offense # 7 would be their BEST Finisher.
* All Level 1 Defense # 7 would have their BEST Level REVERSE there.
* All Level 2 Defense # 7 would have their WORST Level REVERSE there.
* All Level 3 Defense # 7 would have their PIN Rating.
All cards would have each move based on the original "1 out of 6" possibility on them. By this, I mean if a (ch B) appears on a Level 1 Offense # 4, then that counts as a "3 out of 36" percent chance of happening (for those familiar with dice roll probabilities). So you would need another "3 out of 36" percent chance on the card. This would be on their # 10, or their # 2 and # 3, or their # 2 and # 11, etc. You will note this because if this card example has more than 1 "(lv)" option, and more than 2 "(ch __)" on it.
NOW with that said, I always pictured a real-life Strat-O Wrestling game would include more Ratings: For stuff such as COMEBACK, SPEED, and STAMINA (and possibly more)! So that would mean even MORE charts, haha!
Perhaps a short summary of what kind of placement on the card the wrestler should be, sort of like a "Caliber" rating? (Pre-lim, mid-card, championship, superstar, etc)
Thoughts?
