BEFORE I went to a Galacticon, I used to use the first PIN number AND still added the finisher rating against wrestlers. However AFTER I went to one, I have been using the second most of the time. Sometimes to speed things up, in non-GWF feds, house shows, and/or non-title matches I go back to my old way of doing things.

I've only ever really played with the 'advanced rules' and used the PIN rating in parenthesis. The lower starting PIN along with the use of fatigue tokens allows for slightly longer matches and opens up more options for house rules for getting color (blood) and injury depending on the number of fatigue/PIN tokens a wrestler acquires during a match.
At least that's how I use PIN ratings.
Of course you could always ditch the PIN ratings and just use a wrestler's Cage rating for PIN attempts.

I use the basic pin rating in all my non title matches, and I use the advanced for title matches.
However I have been wanting to start using the advanced for all my matches, just haven’t changed it yet.

I use the basic pin rating in all my non title matches, and I use the advanced for title matches. I have done this for years...wondered if anyone else did, now I know.

I've always only played using the advanced rules. It adds so much more variety.

I've always only played using the advanced rules. It adds so much more variety. As do I. However, I do take liberties of my own where it comes to the charts. For example, I don't see Thesz doing a Moonsault (ch C), but I do see him doing the move on his card: hammerlock - 2. If it makes sense for the wrestler, I'll use the (ch A-H). It also depends on the situation. Lastly, I sometimes want the wrestler to hit the move on his card because it's a signature move. I guess I'm just odd.

I figure if the Choice Chart roll succeeds, the wrestler who is doing the move pulls off the maneuver listed on his card, if he fails the roll, I assume the opponent just countered it. I guess I just use the dice roll as another option for a reversal. The results are the kind of the same.
