I've been having a constant debate with myself over which pin rating I like using more, the basic or advanced version. I'd love to hear other people's preference to get some second opinions.

advanced. Basic just doesn't allow much variety.

I mix and match. If I feel a guy is too overpowered I’ll use the basic. But I use advanced as well.

I use basic for battle royals, but in real matches you gotta used advanced.

Definitely advanced. Basic matches just feel too short.

I'm not sure if I read this from another promoter or if I came up with it myself, pretty sure I got it from someone; anywhoo, I use the basic pin for a finisher (gives the finisher more meaning) and use the advanced pin for a regular pin/tap out victory (stops the flash pin from happening in most cases)
Some times for me the advanced pin attempt would be too long of a match. But then the basic pin leads to too quick of a match at times.

I've never ever used the basic pin rating. I suppose the best-placed match for it would be elimination tag matches.
In addition to Sickman's idea, I once toyed with an idea of, if I rolled a wrestler's finisher AND the opponent's pin, the said finisher would double in value.

I use advance. However, I do find tag matches tedious sometimes, so I have thought about using basic during those.

I might use basic in a Battle Royal setting to hurry the action along a little more- But other than that - Never. It just makes the flow a little more unpredictable and interesting. Gives lower rated cards a fighting chance.

I used the basic PIN for the first few years I was playing but I switched at some point and never looked back.
