Terrible movie. So bad in so many ways. Lol I'm going to finally see it tomorrow. Maybe going in with super low expectations will help me get through it. |

Well, finally saw it today.
A lot of cool characters on the "bad guys" side. Loved the Imperial Guards and all the Kylo Ren stuff. Pretty much found all the main "Resistance" characters to be annoying and unlikeable. There is nobody cool on the "good guys" side minus Rey and Chewey. Instead, they kind of come off like bratty protesters tearing up the town and seeing no problem with it. HATED the purple haired lady. Awful character. The Luke Skywalker stuff was all over the place. Still not sure what that was all about. No Vader references? This movie didn't seem to fit with the direction the last one seemed to be going in.
B-/C+
Better than the Phantom Menace and the other two w young Vader. Way worse than the last one. Not even on the same planet as the original first three.

My local Toys R Us is over stocked with reduced priced Rose action figures. Nobody wants that garbage.

No offense to any of the unfortunate souls who actually enjoyed the character, but Rose sucked and her storyline with Finn sucked as well. I thought The Last Jedi was 'meh'. I liked some of it, didn't care for other parts. I kind of wish they'd bring Lucas back and let him at least write the scripts because now after these 2 new Saga films I'm beginning to realize that really only George Lucas and a few select others really get Star Wars in the way that I, and I think most people, remember it. Most stuff since Lucas sold to Disney just feels like big budget fan fiction. |

I am old enough to have gone to the original 3 movies in the theater (and still enjoy the original 3 in their original format). That is how I prefer to recall Star Wars. The prequals were awful, and The Force Awakens was just as bad. Now that Disney has chosen to politicize Star Wars, I will move on to watching other things.

Finally saw it.....totally the definition of fine without ever touching great except for the Luke/Yoda sequence.
