NWA World Television Title Match
Champion Tully Blanchard w/JJ Dillon vs. Rob Van Dam
Two of the most renowned television champions of all time clashed in this one. In the end, Blanchard got the W with his Slingshot Suplex after some timely interference by Dillon. RVD immediately challenged Blanchard to a rematch at the upcoming PPV, Battlebowl!
“Exotic” Adrian Street w/Miss Linda vs. Frank Dalton
Street makes his NWA debut here, twisting Dalton up in a Crucifix for the pinfall victory.
The Masked Superstar w/Bobby “The Brain” Heenan vs. Diamond Dallas Page
DDP controlled the early goings of this match, but made a mistake and got caught. Superstar won when he put DDP out with a sleeper!
The Union Jacks (#1 & #2) vs. Jeff Costa and Lenny Lane
Another debut here of a masked duo, apparently from Great Britain, as their masks and trunks are adorned with the British flag. #1 is a small, agile man with submission techniques, while #2 is the big bruiser, making the team of Costa and Lane a perfect matchup. The Union Jacks, however proved to be more than Costa and Lane could handle, as #1 pinned Lane with a high cross body from the top rope while #2 had Lane in a big vertical suplex.
Brad Armstrong w/“Bullet” Bob Armstrong vs. Rodney w/“The Billion Dollar Man” Ted DiBiase
This ongoing feud between these four men has continued to this point: a match between Brad Armstrong and DiBiase’s bodyguard, Rodney. After several minutes of action, Armstrong hit a Russian Leg Sweep on Rodney and went for the cover, but DiBiase broke it up. While the ref dealt with him, Brad hit a second Russian Leg Sweep and got the 1-2-3, while “Bullet” Bob cut DiBiase off with a dropkick.
Magnum TA and the Sheepherders (Luke Williams and Butch Miller) vs. “The Russian Bear” Ivan Koloff, Nikolai Volkoff, and Boris Zhukov w/Comrade Lou Albano
This one was just as wild in the ring as it looked on paper. After several minutes of uncontrollable violence, Volkoff pinned Miller with a Backbreaker Drop.
NWA World Heavyweight Championship Match
Champion “The American Dragon” Bryan Danielson w/JJ Dillon vs. Bruiser Brody w/“Taskmaster” Kevin Sullivan
The inaugural NWA Heavyweight Champion Brody got his rematch and went after Danielson from the jump. Danielson countered with dropkicks and kicks to the knees and legs of Brody, trying to keep him off balance. Danielson continued his stick and move strategy, completely frustrating the big man. Eventually, Brody got his hands on Danielson and threw him from one end of the ring to the other. Once Brody had him in the corner, he pounded him down with punches until he got him pinned to the bottom turnbuckle. Once there, he really began to put the boots to Danielson, and the ref stepped in to break it up. A wild Brody flung the referee out of his way, drawing the immediate DQ. A beaten down Danielson, gets up laughing, knowing he’d beaten the monster, maybe the only way he could. An angry Sullivan storms off, leaving Brody in the ring.

The Union Jacks (#1 & #2) vs. The Heavenly Bodies (Dr. Tom Prichard and “The Suicide Blonde” Chris Candido) w/Bobby “The Brain” Heenan
This was the first real test for the Union Jacks. They fought well and dominated the majority of the match, but the Bodies won when Prichard pinned #2 after an Enzuigiri.
“The Boogie Woogie Man” Jimmy Valiant vs. King Kong Bundy w/Bobby Heenan
Valiant scored the upset of the year, pinning Bundy cleanly after seemingly knocking him out with a pair of roundhouse punches! Valiant swung wildly at the charging Bundy and one of those swings must have connected with the big man’s chin! Valiant partied with the front row while a shocked Heenan tried to wake his client up.
Magnum TA vs. Nikolai Volkoff w/Comrade Lou Albano
After the last few weeks, Magnum gets some revenge on the Russians, beating big Nikolai with a Belly to Belly Suplex.
“The Billion Dollar Man” Ted DiBiase w/Rodney vs. “Bullet” Bob Armstrong w/Brad Armstrong
DiBiase beat Armstrong with a Billion Dollar Dream, but not without Armstrong taking the fight to him. It is announced after the match that next week, both Armstrongs will face DiBiase and his bodyguard, Rodney, in a tag team match!
NWA World Television Title Match
Champion Tully Blanchard w/JJ Dillon vs. Jerry Lynn
Lynn wins by DQ when he goes for the pin after a Cradle Piledriver and Blanchard’s stablemate, NWA World Heavyweight Champion, Bryan Danielson breaks up the count. The ref calls for the bell, but Lynn gets up and shoves the NWA Champion. Blanchard joins in and Blanchard and Danielson begin to double team Lynn until Rob Van Dam ran out and evened up the odds! All four men brawled as we cut to commercial.
NWA World Tag Team Championship Match
Champions The Army of Darkness (Terry Gordy and Jimmy Snuka) w/“Taskmaster” Kevin Sullivan vs. Too Cool (Scotty 2 Hotty and Brian Christopher)
The Army of Darkness made short work of Too Cool, and Gordy pinned Scotty after the Bamm Bamm Slam. After the match, “The Taskmaster” called out former NWA Champion Bruiser Brody. Sullivan berated Brody for getting himself DQ’ed last week and lost his shot at bringing the NWA World Heavyweight Championship back to the AOD. Sullivan tells Brody he’s got one chance to redeem himself: win the upcoming NWA PPV, Battlebowl!

“Scrap Iron” Adam Pearce vs. Lenny Lane
Pearce won his NWA debut with the Jumping Piledriver.
The Bolsheviks (Nikolai Volkoff and Boris Zhukov) w/Comrade Lou Albano vs. The Rock n Roll Express (Ricky Morton and Robert Gibson)
Morton pinned Volkoff after a Double Dropkick.
Magnum TA vs. “The Russian Bear” Ivan Koloff w/Comrade Lou Albano
Koloff won with the Russian Sickle, but only after some interference by Albano. After the bell, Magnum challenges Koloff to a rematch with no one else at ringside.
“Exotic” Adrian Street w/Miss Linda vs. George South
Street continues his winning ways, beating South with the Crucifix.
“The Billion Dollar Man” Ted DiBiase and Rodney vs. The Armstrongs (Bob And Brad)
DiBiase pinned Bob after a power slam. Tony Schiavone comes out to announce that the booking committee has decided that, not only will Magnum TA and Ivan Koloff square off next week in a rematch where Lou Albano was barred from ringside, but that match will be the first in a Best-of-7 series between the two men! The winner will not only get the obvious bragging rights as to who is the superior wrestler, but will have earned himself an NWA World Heavyweight Championship Match!
Rob Van Dam and Jerry Lynn vs. NWA TV Champion Tully Blanchard and NWA World Heavyweight Champion “The American Dragon” Bryan Danielson w/JJ Dillon
RVD and Lynn won by DQ when Danielson smashes Lynn with the timekeeper’s bell! Blanchard and RVD continue to brawl, and Danielson locks the Crossface Chickenwing on Lynn, refusing to break the hold! Lynn taps repeatedly, but Danielson keeps the hold cinched in until former champion Lou Thesz runs down to ringside and drops an elbow on Danielson! Thesz and Danielson begin to brawl until referees charge the ring to separate them.
