The art for the 2088 Spike card is sorta iffy, but Chuck killed it with his 2090 update. I'd take The Original 4 Gladiators over Vengeance's Gladiators any day of the week and twice on Sunday! Brute Massacre, Spike, & Mayhem FTW! My favorite art of Brute and Massacre were the 2095 SE edition cards. I liked the 2090 version of Spike as well. I was always iffy about Mayhem, he wasn't the original three for me. WHAT?! Mayhem not part of the ORIGINAL Gladiators?! Blasphemy!!! lol I always considered Mayhem an old school Headbanger. The very epitome of the Gladiator ethos.

One idea is a parallel universe version of the Mercenaries with a dark GALACTIC PUNISHER and TONGSOON, with the wrinkle being that Tongsoon wins his feud with Dreadnaught, avoiding becoming human. But still joins Krakan and Punisher on the Hitmen. Superb idea but don't call him 'Dark' Galactic Punisher, just Galactic Punisher. Even though Vigilante was my all time favorite cotg character. That's the plan.

Colossus was mentioned...YES, Please.
I am a mark for Colossus, one of my top 10 favs of all time.
Cannot say that his heel turn and going to CPC ever felt right, because the Classics 3000 Actagon interview hinted at how much of a revolutionary individual he was...and those actions just didn't seem to lead to "revolutionary", dunno. Would love to see him going a different path (stay face and really carry the heroes for a long time...even still through today.)

Maybe a little off topic, but I've always thought about alternative universe for Legends of Wrestling like CloneWorld.
Like mostly we see difference in wrestlers, but what about landscape?
For instance, today I thought 'what if Verne Gagne managed to keep Hulk Hogan in the AWA rather than going to the WWF ?' How would the world of wrestling be different today?
Things like that would make great alternate universe stuff too, ya know, besides just CotG stuff?! Thoughts?

What if WWF had gone with Sting instead of Ultimate Warrior, and Hogan made Sting instead of Flair?

What if WWF had gone with Sting instead of Ultimate Warrior, and Hogan made Sting instead of Flair? Exactly, somewhat. More along the lines of Landscape, like what if Super Clash would have worked out with the alliance of AWA, WCCW & NWA would have been a success without the politics and fighting over revenue? Would they have become the National Juggernaut of a Promotion rather than the WWE? How would the wrestlers have changed and become if the landscape changed? Sting, Flair, Koloff, Hogan, Warrior, Savage, etc.... Would they be huge stars like we know them or how would they be different due to their environment? Just pennies for thoughts.

That sounds more like a whole set of cards within itself rather than just one off cards.
