Heel managers, valet and bodyguards. We know they will stoop to any level to win a match. But what about the hero’s side? Do you even the playing field and have the Babyface managers and valets interfere in matches?
Not doing so gives Heels major advantages in a fed. But doing so feels out of character. How do you handle Babyface interference?

It just depends on the character and the situation.

I handle this ecactly as Justin Case does. But I also feel some wrestlers are more like tweeners so they will interfere as often as possible against whomever they are wrestling. Good topic Drew!

Me too, for the most part.
With some exceptions--Trainer Jim was a physical guy who would interfere (in retaliation) at the earliest possible opportunity. Omega, a little less so (and remember the 2089 booklet indicated he wasn't often at ringside). Solaris, pretty much never--only distractions, which made him a glorified valet.
On the other hand, with Destructon 3000, I would sometimes go with the "all's fair in love and W.A.R." mentality, and I would sometimes have him interfere without provocation, especially against the Gladiators. Same thing with Sam, especially when he reverted back to being Commando.

Once in a while, I'd have the faces interfere though it's rare unless it's retaliation but sometimes especially when Wolf was feuding with Terminus, it was often mind games against his feuding opponent.

Thanks everyone for your replies. I’ve gone back and forth with this. In my original fed I never had Heroes interfere and Heels dominated my fed. This time I’ve done it the way some of you have described, but I keep changing and want to find a consistent rule of thumb so to speak. So what better way than to ask you guys

So what better way than to ask you guys Yeah, this is a tricky question because I think it mostly depends on the style of fed you're running. IN the old days, a face running interference would of been a big 'no-no' in most cases, with the exception of maybe an especially hot feud that was going to lead to a big specialty match as the blow off. I really think its something that should be handled on a case by case basis and depends entirely on the wrestler. For example, Commander Sam or Wolf, who are faces in the original edition, would probably be more likely to run interference than say Star Warrior, who is also a face, but who would probably never run interference. As Tom always used to love to say "Its up to your promoter!". So there really is no correct answer.

Reminds me of some of the post-match chaos you'd often see in Memphis/Mid-South or ECW when the heels would run out and attack the babyfaces they're feuding with and the entire face side of the roster would run out to break it up and save the babyfaces.

That's great.
