My last fed, Slaughter's WAR, was taking too long to play with everything I had put in, and it was about that time that the online issues with the game (I play exclusively online) had taken their toll on me, so I backed away for awhile, helped my wife remodel the kitchen, and waited for a great opportunity as I mulled over new ideas for a new fed.
I believe it was Dayton Dave (correct me if I'm wrong) who put out some bootleg referee cards, and then it hit me – In all the feds I've read, you never/seldom hear about the referees we've all grown to know and love, other than an occasional use of the term “the referee”. So I decided for this fed, I would have a staff of referees. I took Dayton Dave's bootlegs, added the cards for Morgan Dollar and Todd Sinclair, found a bootleg for Bronco Lubich, created cards for Bryce Remsburg and Max Ward (from World Of Sport), then decided to create a card for Big Bossman that will be in the regular rotation, plus be used for any match that would require law and order be maintained. I should note that I did debate adding Bill Alphonso and David Manning, but decided against it.
This is my first fed with the Smathis Scheduling System, and I hope you like it. Tune in tomorrow for the first edition of SLAM Avenue Throwdown!

I think my favorite thing, so far, is that Big Bossman is going to be a ref! He was the first person I thought of when I thought of a troubleshooter. It will be interesting to see what happens when someone tries to test him

Hey, since you guys were here, let's discuss Max Ward. Whenever a wrestler was knocked down, he would start his count, since most WOS matches went to 2 falls, 2 submissions, or a knockout. I would imagine he was starting his count for a possible knockout. I was wondering if I should do that here, and if so, should I use it for every down3? I would think it would slow up pace of play. Your thoughts please.

SLAM Avenue House Of SLAM Saturday, February 17
(Jackie Fargo appears in an empty arena in the middle of a lit ring. He begins to speak)
Due to the ongoing rain and flooding in the area, it was discovered that the House Of SLAM had a major roof leak that would have prevented the fans from fully enjoying the matches. This leak was discovered this past Thursday, and we made the choice at that time to postpone the kickoff of SLAM Avenue to Saturday February 24. Adam Cole and Veda Scott are still interim champions and will now challenge for their respective Universal titles on Saturday March 17 on SLAM Avenue's first live Prime Time special on FOX "The Big Dance". All SLAM Avenue fans that had tickets for tonight will have them honored next Saturday and anyone who wants to buy tickets for next Saturday may do so as long as we have available seats.
I have some other news to report as well. Todd Sinclair has informed me that he wishes to maintain his current referee commitments at this time, so he will not be coming aboard full time to SLAM Avenue. He has offered to fill in from time to time should the situation warrant and his schedule permit. Effective immediately, I have named Big Bossman Senior Referee and Enforcer, and in turn, Bossman has brought Bill Alfonso aboard to fill his spot.
Also, after discussion with the wrestlers, and upon fan suggestions, we will be using a revised version of the Smathis Scheduling System to determine ranking. Based on the elimination match winning times, each division with have ten contenders who will battle in supercard format on a six week running points system. They will battle for three weeks, with the four lowest point totals after the third week being eliminated from each roster, and the top point getter receiving the title match the following week against whomever the respective champions may be at that time.
Finally, we will have a SLAM Avenue Universal Television Championship in the Men's Division. The eventual champion will defend his title every week on Saturday Night SLAM as well as the live, prime time specials.
We will always try to have the best here at SLAM Avenue, and that extends to our announce team. I am proud to announce that Mauro Ranallo will be calling play by play alongside Corey Graves, who will be doing color commentary, and Mean Gene Okerlund, who will be our lead interviewer.
Thanks for your understanding, and join us for the debut of Saturday Night SLAM this Saturday night on FS1
