I hate to hear this. I've always loved going to TRU and when I was a kid a trip to TRU usually meant finding wrestling figures that you couldn't get at our local Walmart or K-Mart. I've got a lot of fond memories of TRU in Lima, gonna have to try to go one last time and see if they have that new Heenan figure.

I was also sorry read that Toys R Us is closing down. It has been years since I last went in there but back in the 1980s when I was in 6th and 7th grade there were many Friday nights in Tacoma where my parents would take me to go to Chuck E Cheese to eat pizza and play video games and then afterward go across the street to Toys R Us to get a new LJN WWF action figure. Good memories. This weekend I have family in town (going to see the Golden Knights tomorrow night with my cousin) but if I get a chance I might try to go to one of the local Toys R Us locations one last time.

I've been to one not too long ago though it's been a long while since we bought anything other than perhaps a drink for the trip home but may go for one last trip as well.

Went to Toys R Us yesterday for their going out of business sale to pick up some bday and Christmas. Sales were 10-30% off and about 50% of the store was picked through. Still got some cool stuff.

It's kind of a bummer that they are going out of business and that the idea of a "toy store" is more or less dead at this point. I've heard rumors of KB coming back somehow but I won't hold my breath.

I also worked at TRU in high school and had a pretty decent experience, aside from the low pay... but I was in high school... I deserved low pay.
