Yeah when Jim Cornette blasted his own man and the count out I thought "these bub's don't deserve it." but they advance on sheer dumb luck.

Bobo is becoming a mover to be sure. can't wait to see what he does with momentum.

-Short back and forth as Destroyer worked on the legs and surprised everyone with an airplane spin to get the three count. (Tokens: 1)

1st Round Immortals Tag Team Championship Tournament
Road Warriors (Hawk & Animal) w/Paul Ellering vs. Curt Henning & Larry Henning
Road Warriors defeated the Hennings via pin fall
-Larry fought off Hawk but once Curt was tagged in the Road Warriors just over powered him with double clotheslines, slams and back to back DOOMSDAY DEVICE’S to get the three count. (Tokens: Curt: 3)

Gorgeous George w/Cherie Dupree vs. Greg Valentine
Greg Valentine defeats Gorgeous George via submission
-Slow and methodical the Hammer dismantled George and refused to follow him out of the ring and ignored Cherie. When he could Valentine after softening up George locked on the FIGURE FOUR LEGLOCK and George wasted no time tapping out. (Tokens: N/A)

Boogie Woogie Man vs. King Kong Bundy w/Bobby Heenan
Boogie Woogie Man defeated King Kong Bundy via pin fall
-Bundy used his size and power to assault Boogie and got two near falls back to back. BWM fought back and a nerve hold was broken up by Heenan. BWM rocked Bundy with running elbow smashes taking the big man down and getting a three count. (Tokens: Boogie: 2 – Bundy: 1)

Six-Man Tag Team Match:
Iron Sheik & Hotel Moscow (Nikolai Volkoff & Boris Zhukov) vs. Bobo Brazil & Rock-n-Roll Express (Ricky Morton & Robert Gibson)
Bobo Brazil & Rock-n-Roll Express defeated Iron Sheik & Hotel Moscow via disqualification
-The match was wild as Volkoff just overpowered Morton and nearly won in the opening moments. Gibson and Morton worked with fast tags countering the power of the Russians. Brazil with the COCO BUTT was pinning Zhukov when Sheik used the flag pole to smash Bobo. The referee had enough and called for the bell. (Tokens: Gibson: 3 – Morton: 4 – Brazil: 2 – Sheik: 1 – Volkoff: 1 – Zhukov: 2)

Dr. Mike Lano came out and announced that Episode 9 was a Showcase special called Putting on the Ritz. The matches signed.

Lano said more matches would be announced next week on episode 8.

Bruiser Brodey w/Gorgeous George & Cherie Dupree vs. Wild Bill White
Bruiser Brody defeated Wild Bill White via pin fall
-One sided as Brody decimated White from start to finish. A Bruiser Backbreaker nearly got the win right away and a big boot to face nearly did as well. Brody listening to George hit the JUMPING KNEE DROP to get the three count. (Tokens: White: 2)

Brody threw White out of the ring as George with a microphone said that Valentine just made his list. He and Brody were challenging the Dream Team. “If you can actually gather enough brain cells to answer.” George said. “Get ready for Beastly Beauty.”

Randy Savage and Rob Van Dam were in the ring waiting for Jerry Lynn and his mystery partner. Lynn came out and said he hired protection because Savage was an animal and RVD was a spot monkey with little self control. Lynn revealed his partner to be Redd Dogg.

MAIN EVENT
Jerry Lynn & Redd Dogg vs. Randy Savage* & Rob Van Dam
Jerry Lynn & Redd Dogg defeated Randy Savage & Rob Van Dam via pin fall
-RVD rocked Redd with his offense and Savage came in striking hard and fast. A blind tag saw Lynn jump Savage from behind and after a fight on the floor and a low blow Lynn hit the CRADLE PILEDRIVER for the three count as Dogg & RVD fought into the crowd. (Tokens: Dogg: 1 – Savage: 2)

Lynn grabbed the title belt and after hitting Savage with it then dropping Savage on it with the DDT, Lynn told him Putting on the Ritz he was going to be the new World champion.

Thank you Pariah and Troy!Jerry Lynn has been interesting as a heel and I swear the dice are in lust with him.  Redd Dogg has potential to be a threat to any opponent.  Boogie Woogie rocked Bundy and the condominium with legs has yet to taste victory in Showcase.  Show #8 won't be until Friday when I post my GWF "monthly" omnibus so stay hydrated when they are posted I decided to make certain shows "specials" instead of a ppv.  see how the first one goes.  godson pointed out I already had one and told him no that was a pre-season special   its fun watching him try and come up with an argument, he's given up with "Its summer I am not using my brain until September for school."  I did not tell his mother this.

Lynn has been awesome as a heel. the dice are hitting all points on the charts and defense. makes me worry. the New F'N Show could very well leave Putting on the Ritz with gold around his waist. I'm excited.

-Two men who have developed a hatred went back and forth snapping off their moves only to lose control moments later. DDP with a discus clothesline nearly won. On the floor DDP ducked and Destroyer wiped out Heenan and returned to the ring only to walk into the DIAMOND CUTTER and a three count. (Tokens: DDP: 1 – Destroyer: 2)

Scott Taylor defeated Pamero Firpo via disqualification
-Taylor used his speed to frustrate Firpo and a superkick had Firpo retreat to the floor where he grabbed a steel chair and hit Taylor and Christopher causing the referee to call for the bell. (Tokens: N/A)

Iron Mike DiBiase vs. Lou Thesz
Lou Thesz defeated Iron Mike DiBiase via pin fall
-One sided as Thesz seemed to just pick what he wanted nearly getting a win with some dropkicks and later the stepover toehold facelock. DiBiase tried to rally but missed a top rope deathjump and Thesz with the GRECO-ROMAN BACKDROP got the three (Tokens: DiBiase: 3)

Midnight Express (Stan Lane & Bobby Eaton) w/Jim Cornette vs. the Fantastics (Tommy Rogers & Bobby Fulton)
Midnight Express defeated Fantastics via pin fall
-Sort and one sided as Lane & Eaton rapidly tagged in and out and wasted no time hitting the FLAPJACK and pinning Rogers as Cornette had Fulton distracted. (Tokens: N/A)

Jimmy Snuka w/Lou Albano vs. Ivan Koloff
Ivan Koloff defeated Jimmy Snuka via pin fall
-Short as Snuka’s offense did nothing and Koloff with a Russian Hammer hit the RUSSIAN SICKLE and got the three count. (Tokens: N/A)

1st Round Immortals Tag Team Championship Tournament
Brad Armstrong & Marty Jannetty vs. Ted DiBiase & Rock Riddle
Ted DiBiase & Rock Riddle defeated Brad Armstrong & Marty Jannety via submission
-Jannetty and Armstrong were flawless in tags and keeping DiBiase isolated. Both a superkick and the ROCKER DROPP failed to secure the three but DiBiase took control of Armstrong and a COBRA CLUTCH got the win as Riddle managed to hold off Jannetty. (Tokens: DiBiase: 2)

Dr. Mike Lano was in the ring and said they were holding a contract signing for the World title match at Putting on the Ritz. Jerry Lynn came to the ring with Redd Dogg as his security consultant. Randy Savage came to the ring with Rob Van Dam. Lano had both men sign the contract with Lynn going first. When Savage was finished signing Redd Dogg attacked Savage only for RVD to cut him off. Savage and Lynn brawled and RVD grabbed a chair and hit the Van Daminator on Dogg then used the chair to chase Lynn off before he could hit the Cradle Piledriver. Lynn vowed he was leaving next week as world champion or Savage was leaving in an ambulance.
