I enjoyed Card 14 with Kevin Steen beating El Generico in the Pure Violence Match on top. Generico always seems to lose out to Steen in feds around the world. Great to see Lufisto win her Pure Violence bout over Kimber Lee along with WGTT beating the American Wolves in stellar tag action. Congrats also to Jay Lethal on beating Jimmy Jacobs for the Northern Indy title.

Card 15 – Northern Indy Wrestling presents . . . F-CINQ, London Music Hall, London, ON
The Tribe (Hawaiian Lion & Navajo Warrior) w/Olivia b. Los Banditos (Tito Econdido & Rico Dynamite) Escondito and Dynamite are able to use their speed to keep the early advantage cutting of Lion from his corner but a near fall after a tilt-a-whirl backbreaker and a rope break to escape a RICO DEATH CLINCH is as close as they get to victory. Warrior gets into the match and his power shines through. A Slot Machine stuns Escondido and when Warrior crushes Escondido with a MONUMENT VALLEY DRIVER a few minutes later, the pin save is blocked and the Tribe get their win back.
Mercedes Martinez b. Athena Martinez was able to use a series of brutal chops early on to get the upper hand before Athena exploded back on offense including an enzuigiri and running dropkick. Martinez kicked out after O-FACE and then was able to get the best of a brawl on the floor. Back inside, Martinez immediately hit a FISHERMAN BUSTER for the thee count.
Adrenaline Rush (ACH & Tadarius “TD” Thomas) b. Young Bucks (Matt Jackson & Nick Jackson) The Bucks controlled the majority of the early action with the intense double teaming and agility. A MOONSAULT to ACH from Matt Jackson nearly ends it but action carries on. Both sides are able to make multiple defensive tags until ACH is able to get the upper hand on Nick Jackson and hits back to back to back BIG BANG ATTACKS but a pair of key pin saves from Matt Jackson keeps the action going. Thomas tags in and hits FLURRY OF CAPOEIRA KICKS for the upset win.
“No Fear” Mike Mondo b. Ethan Page w/Seleziya Sparx Mondo and Page trade moves early on with some intensity before Mondo takes over after a whip into the barricade. Mondo dominates from that point and gets the three count after a NO FEAR DDT.
Arik Royal DQ “King of Old School” Steve Corino The fans expected some hard hitting action from these two and they delivered early on. A heat getting eye poke turned things around for Corino and he nearly ended it with an Old School Kick immediately thereafter. Corino earned some more heat using a foreign object but Royal was able to roll to the floor. Corino came out after him and both men brawled. Corino grabbed a chair and clobbered Royal with hit which earned him a disqualification. Both men brawled after the match until officials could pull the two apart.
Jakob Hammermeier introduces Truth Martini and Brotherhood of Truth Members Claudio Castagnoli, Ares & Tursas who come to the ring for an interview that enrages the fans. Martini mocks the members of the former House of Truth telling the fans that the Brotherhood of Truth is the future of Northern Indy Wrestling.
“Lightning” Mike Quackenbush b. Bryan Danielson Handshake started this one off and the action was closely contested until Danielson attempted a dive to the floor, was caught by Quackenbush and put through a ringside table. The fans went nuts. Danielson was never back into the match after that point but it took everything in Quackenbush’s bag of tricks to get the win. Danielson kicked out after a Quackendriver, Quackendriver II, Quackendriver III and Quackendriver IV before a Chikara Special forced him to back out. Huge ovation for both competitors after the match.
Wrestling’s Greatest Tag Team (Shelton Benjamin & Charlie Haas) DQ Northern Indy Tag Team Champions Briscoe Brothers (Jay Briscoe & Mark Briscoe) Wrestling’s Greatest managed to cut off Jay Briscoe for a significant stretch and worked him over with tag team precision. Several times Briscoe was able to get his shoulder off the mat to avoid defeat including after a PAYDIRT and later after a double clothesline. Benjamin looked particularly impressive in his offensive attack. Mark Briscoe was eventually able to get into the action but he also struggled just barely kicking out after a LEAP OF FAITH from the challengers. Haas took the action to the floor and the champions finally had some life. Haas managed to kick out after a JAY DRILLER and the Briscoes were in control of the action when then took too many liberties with a double team attack on Haas for the referee who called for the disqualification when the Briscoe Brothers did not adhere to the five count. The fans were not pleased with the call nor were the Briscoe Brothers. The referee wisely got out of dodge before the Briscoe Brother could get a hold of him.
Pure Violence Match – “Zombie Princess” Jimmy Jacobs b. “Wrestling’s Worst Nightmare” Kevin Steen They traded bites, punches and forearms early on with the crowd roaring. Jacobs took control with a low blow and then used his RAILROAD SPIKE to bloody Steen. The battle went outside and Jacobs used a Kendo Stick to inflict more punishment. Steen powered back including a powerbomb onto the apron but a spear attempt at ringside sent Steen into the ring rails hard. Back in the ring, Jacobs nearly ended it with THE END OF TIME but Steen powered free. Steen drew the energy at ringside and caught Jacobs on the top of the corner slamming him to the mat. Steen took over including back to back powerbombs onto the apron. Steen crushed Jacobs with a PACKAGE PILEDRIVER into the middle of the ring but Jacobs got his shoulder up at 2 ¾ setting ringside on fire! The brawled to the floor and back into the ring where Jacobs launched a chair into the face of Steen knocking him loopy. Jacobs then locked in THE END OF TIME and score the huge victory.
Kyle O’Reilly DQ Norther Indy Champion Jay Lethal This one began with a handshake and ovation but things soon got serious, particularly from O’Reilly who was quick to make use of chair during the action on the floor which earned him heat from ringside. The heat only intensified when he used it a second time and then a third. In the ring, O’Reilly dominated including several Regalplexes and a wicked brainbuster. They went back to the floor and this time Lethal was able to ram O’Reilly into the ringside table to gain the upper hand. The action when back to the floor again. O’Reilly grabbed the chair for a fourth attack but Lethal managed to wrestle the weapon away and used it himself. The referee called for the disqualification and the fans could not believe it. O’Reilly laughed at Lethal as he was announced the winner as the fans booed the decision. O’Reilly got onto the mic and ran down the fans for not supporting a fellow Canadian and left to great heat.
