Thanks for the feedback
cruefan68 and
TTX . Good to see you are the road to recovery. I am glad you enjoyed the F-Cinq event. Jacobs victory was bit if shocker (considering that the event was named for Steen’s finisher) and has caused me to change up some of my booking. Quackenbush and Danielson was fun to play and I am looking forward to using them more on future cards. Ethan Page jobbed out to Mondo as a result, I have decided to wish Page best luck in his future endeavors.
I am also pulling for the Tribe to come out on top in their feud against Los Banditos
Card 16 – Northern Indy Wrestling presents . . In Your Dreams, Franklin Horner Community Centre, Toronto, ON
Brotherhood of Truth (Ares, Claudio Castagnoli & Tursas) w/Truth Martini & Jakob Hammermeier DQ Adrenaline Rush (ACH & Tadarius “TD” Thomas) & 2 Cold Scorpio
The heat for Hammermeier ring introduction and Martini’s pre-match promo was excellent. Tursas overpowered ACH early on and Thomas did not fair any better when he stepped into the ring. ACH saved his partner from a DIVING CROSS BODY BLOCK from the second rope but Castagnoli tagged in and crushed Thomas with a RICOLA BOMB which should have ended it but Scorpio jumped into the action kicking off a wild brawl earning his side a disqualification. The Brotherhood destroyer their opponents with various finishers including a RAGINAROCK to Thomas leaving all three men in a heap.
Christina Von Eerie b. Courtney Rush
Not a good night for Rush who gets zero offense in the entire match. Von Eerie struck early and often including Dead Rising twice and a Graveyard Smash. A breather on the floor did not help and Von Eerie ended it with a 138.
“No Fear” Mike Mondo b. BJ Whitmer
The fans were ready for some hard hitting action with these two in the ring and Mondo opened with a sneak attack and never stepped off the gas dominating the entire contest both in and out of the ring before ending it with a jumping big boot (snake eyes). Three squash matches in a row to open the night has the fans restless.
Robert Anthony DQ Joey Ryan
Ryan used the mic to run down the fans and earn heat but he was all business after the bell sounded and dominated the action. Anthony survived the WALK-OFF twice before he was able to use his speed to gain the upper hand. The advantage was short lived as Ryan had just too many weapons. Nuff Said forced Anthony to the floor where Ryan’s frustrations of not being able to put his opponent away got the best of him when he decided to crack Anthony across the back with a chair and was disqualified.
Los Banditos (Rico Dynamite & Tito Escondido) b. The Tribe (Hawaiian Lion & Navajo Warrior) w/Olivia
Dynamite and Escondido were able to cut off Lion early on and got plenty of heat with their tactics. Warrior finally tagged in and overpowered both of his opponents. Escondidio survived a Broken Arrow and later Dynamite saved his partner from a MONUMNET VALLEY DRIVER. Lion appeared to have the match won with an ANKLE LOCK but once again Dynamite jumped into the action starting a wild brawl. Dynamite was able to use Warrior’s leather strap on Lion to get the upper hand in the chaos. Lion was able to survive a RICO DEATH CLINCH but a double mafia kick was enough to put Lion down for the three count giving the Banditos a huge comeback victory.
“King of Old School” Steve Corino b. Arik Royal
The fans were more then ready for what promised to be a violent showdown between these two competitors who really knew how to fight and they did not disappoint. The early exchanges were stiff and highlighted but Royal’s thigh kicks. The went to the floor and Corino tasted the ring post leaving a bloody mess before long. Corino was able to counter an exploder suplex attempt into DDT and took over the action including a pair of Old School Kicks. Royal kicked out after an OLD SCHOOL LARIAT and then went to the floor where Corino smashes Royal with a chair busting him open. Corino kept on his opponent and then blasted him with what appeared to be brass knuckles leaving Royal dazed in the middle of the ring where he was easily pinned. The fans gave it to Corino after the match. Certainly things between these two teams are far for over.
Wrestling’s Greatest Tag Team (Shelton Benjamin & Charlie Haas) b. Northern Indy Tag Team Champions Briscoe Brothers (Jay Briscoe & Mark Briscoe) to win the titles.
The action from the outside moved a great pace keeping the fans on edge as both sides battled for control. It was the power of Haas that broke the stalemate when he caught Jay Briscoe with a T-Bone Suplex. Benjamin took control and punished Briscoe but could not put him away even after back to back PAYDIRTS. Haas stepped back into the action and kept the pressure on including a double clothesline that nearly ended it. Mark Briscoe saved his brother after a LEAP OF FAITH. Benjamin then hit a PAYDIRT and Haas blocked the pin save but Briscoe got his shoulder up rocking the fans and stunning Benjamin. However, Benjamin quickly regained his composure and planted Briscoe with his finisher yet again for the win.
Northern Indy Champion Jay Lethal b. Kyle O’Reilly
O’Reilly was not in a good mood and took his anger out on the champion early on unleashes an offensive furry on Lethal. O’Reilly left no move untried as he assaulted Lethal in and out of the ring picking up multiple near falls. O’Reilly finally positioned Lethal for a GUILLOITINE CHOKE but Lethal was just able to make the ropes to stay alive. Triple butterfly suplexes followed but Lethal somehow kicked out at the last second bringing the fans to their feet. On the floor, Lethal reversed a whip and O’Reilly went hard into the corner. Lethal finally had an opening and slowly began to show life picking up his own momentum over the next few minutes including a punishing figure four leglock and a Hail to the King that had the fans standing again. O’Reilly survived after a Lethal Combination and battled back pushing Lethal to the limit. However, Lethal was able to hit a second Hail to the King which began the path to the finish which came after a LETHAL INJECTION for the three count. The fans applauded both men but O’Reilly would have none of it instead leaving the ring and flipping off the fans before stepping through the curtain.
