I just wanted to say thank you to everyone who took the time out to check out Northern Indy Wrestling in 2018 and I hope you will continue to enjoy the action in 2019. I am blown away by selected Indy Fed of the Year especially considering the number of awesome federations that are being posted to the forum. So much diversity and creativity. It is an honour.

Card 20 – Northern Indy Wrestling presents . . . The Spirit Within, Tannery Events Centre, Kitchener, ON
Kellie Skater b. Veda Scott The two ladies had the crowd rocking before this one was finished as they opened the show with a solid back and forth action packed contest. Scott controlled early picking a near fall after hooking clothesline. Skater was able to bounce Scott’s head off the ringside table to turn things around but Scott prevented Skater from getting to her supplements. Skater controlled for a stretch but could not put Scott away even after an impressive deathjump cross body block. Scott battled back and connected with back to back Q.E.D. but Skater got her shoulder up both times when the fans thought it was over. Skater was about to counter out of an abdominal stretch and go on a run that included Skate or Die which set up a Northern Lights Suplex for the three count. ACDC (Arik Cannon & Darin Corbin) DQ Briscoe Brothers (Mark Briscoe & Jay Briscoe) Cannon & Corbin cut off Jay Briscoe from this corner from the outset and dominated the action with quick tags and double teaming. Mark Briscoe was able to eventually get into the action and went blow for blow with Arik Cannon but Cannon gained the upper hand with a devasting right hand. ACDC impressed with a Chuck Wooley’s Two and Two. Eventually, Mark Briscoe and Arik Cannon ended up brawling of the floor which evolved into a fight between all four men. In the process, Briscoe puts Cannon through a ringside table with a senton dive earning a disqualification and leaving Cannon in a heap. The fans are chanting as officials attend to Cannon and assist him to the back.
BJ Whitmer CO “No Fear” Mike Mondo The intensity was off the charts between these two from the opening bell. The harder they hit each other the more they seemed to like it. The action spilled to the floor after the two exchanged nasty looking buckle bombs. Both men made use of pieces of the broken table to smash each other. Whitmer controlled for a stretch in the ring but the action soon broke down again on the floor. The two men brawled back to the apron and Mondo backdropped Whitmer back into the ring just at the ten count. Mondo was counted out but the action continued after the bell. Several officials were needed to pull the two men apart. The Tribe (Hawaiian Lion & Navajo Warrior) w/Olivia DQ Northern Indy Tag Team Champions Wrestling’s Greatest Tag Team (Shelton Benjamin & Charlie Haas) After some back and forth the Tribe took control with a power attack on Haas cutting him off for a prolonged stretch. The Tribe showed off their double teaming with a Hang Five before Benjamin was able to get into the match once again. Things did not go any better for Benjamin as Warrior overpowered him and was joined by Lion for a Slot Machine. Benjamin just managed to kick out after a MONUMNEET VALLEY DRIVER before the action went to the floor where Benjamin clocked Warrior with a tag team title belt busting him open and earning Benjamin the disqualification. The champions collected their titles and headed to the back drawing epic heat. Adrenaline Rush (ACH & Tadarius “TD” Thomas) b. ReDRagon (Bobby Fish & Kyle O’Reilly) ACH had the fans rocking early with his antics and high flying offense catching O’Reilly with a Tiger Mask early on leading to a near fall. Fish was able to turn the momentum and get some heat on Tadarius but Tadarius caught Fish on the top of the corner and tossed him to the mat in a crowd pleasing spot. ACH tagged back in and took over leading to a spinning cloverleaf that gets the surprise submission. Joey Ryan DQ Arik Royal This one turned out to be an absolute war. The story early on was Royal dominating the action punishing Ryan in and out of the ring with strikes, kicks and suplexes. Royal then transitions to backbreakers and other power moves. Twice he connected with a KURT COBAIN SICK KICK but Ryan was able to kick out each time. Later, Royal executed a powerbomb onto the apron but Ryan managed to crawl back into the ring at the just as the referee was about to reach ten in his count. Ryan made an incredible comeback countering a spinning side kick with a spinebuster. Ryan went to work including at one point back to back to back pedigrees. He hit several spears and then connected with WALK-OFF for a big near fall. They went to the floor where Ryan grabbed a chair and attacked Royal’s arm. The fans were frantic. Back inside, Royal survived a Fujiwara armbar and made it back to the floor. This time, Royal grabbed a chair and dropped Ryan with the weapon. The bell sounded and we had another disqualification finish. The fans were not pleased but the action did not end there as Royal laid out Ryan with another KURT COBAIN SICK KICK before leaving ringside.
“Lightning” Mike Quackenbush, Robert Anthony & Bryan Danielson b. Brotherhood of Truth (Ares, Claudio Castagnoli & Tursas) w/Truth Martini & Jakob Hammermeier The Brotherhood has epic heat after the pre-match mic work of Martini & Hammermeier. They built on that with a punishing power attack on all three of their opponents. Danielson and Quackenbush both took Triple Powerbombs while Swiss Money Inc. combined for a DOOMSDAY UPPERCUT to Danielson for a big near fall. Later, Ares nearly put way Anthony with a TIGER DRIVER. The fans were desperate for a comeback and they got one. Danielson broke through and managed to catch Tursas in CATTLE MUTILATION but the giant Fin made the ropes. The momentum began to slowly return to the larger competitors Quackenbush countered a running clothesline from Castagnoli into a Black Tornado Slam and followed it with a QUACKENDRIVER II for the comeback win (Snake Eyes)
Northern Indy Champion Jay Lethal b. “Zombie Princess” Jimmy Jacobs in a best of three falls match. Jay Lethal came out strong in the opening fall and connected with a LETHAL INJECTION into the opening minutes for a big near fall. Lethal lands a deathjump smash and then hits his finisher for a second time to get the early pin. The second fall is much different as a low blow from Jacobs stops Lethal’s momentum and he never really gets it back. Jacobs dominates including smashing Lethal with a chair on the floor leading to a near count out. Lethal manages to make the ropes to escape THE END OF TIME. Jacobs keeps on the champion with a series of violent stomps that gets a two count before he blasts Lethal with his RAILROAD SPIKE. However, the referee sees it and disqualifies Jacobs. Lethal retains but is left a bloody mess in the middle of the ring.

Card 21 – Northern Indy Wrestling presents . . . Tell All Your Friends, Phoenix Concert Theatre, Toronto, ON
Shane Hollister b. “God’s Gift” QT Marshall w/R.D. Evans Hollister scored with an early moonsault and never really let up from that point. Marshall kicked out after a BUZZSAW KICK but struggled to get anything going. The timely distraction of Evans kept the match going after a second BUZZSAW KICK. They brawled on the floor before Marshall was finally able to get something going blocking a charge in the corner with double knees and then hitting a running powerslam. Evans got in a choke to earn some heat. Hollister turned things around outside the ring running Marshall shoulder first into the post and then taking out both Marshall and Evans with a dive. Back inside, Hollister hit a modified Ace Crusher then put Marshall away with another BUZZSAW KICK. ACDC (Arik Cannon & Darin Corbin) b. Briscoe Brothers (Jay Briscoe & Mark Briscoe) The Briscoe Brothers cut off Darin Corbin from the outset and gave him a vicious beating which lead to a SPIKE JAY DRILLER but Cannon was able to make the pin save to keep the match going. Moments later Mark Briscoe hit a CUT-THROAT DRIVER but Corbin was able to kick out at the last possible second. Briscoe went to the top but his deathjump crashed and burns allowing Corbin to get his own near fall. Cannon tagged in and ACDC went to work on Mark Briscoe with double teaming and brawling. Briscoe was not able to reach his corner. “Chuck Woolery’s Two and Two” nearly ended it. Cannon crushed Briscoe with a BURNING HAMMER but Jay Briscoe made the save. Cannon then hit TOTAL ANARCHY and this time the pin save is blocked and Cannon has the pin.
“Dirty” Andy Dalton DQ The Hobo Dalton dominated this one from the opening bell leading to a PILEDRIVER that should have ended it but Dalton pulled up Hobo for some more punishment earning great heat from the fans. Dalton connected with back to back Die Bitches before Hobo slumped to the floor. Dalton went for a piledriver at ringside but Hobo countered with a backdrop that send Dalton through the ringside table. Ringside exploded along with the wood at the turn of events but the referee was not as pleased as the fans and called the match on a disqualification. Northern Indy Tag Team Champions Wrestling’s Greatest Tag Team (Shelton Benjamin & Charlie Haas) DQ The Tribe (Hawaiian Lion & Navajo Warrior) The Tribe came out hard and cut off Haas from the outset. Warrior attacked with kicks and slams. A brief brawl on the floor lead to The Tribe double up with stomps and chops on Haas. The referee steps in and Warrior shoved the referee to the mat and the official immediately called for the disqualification. Benjamin collected his partner and was more than happy to escape to the back with their titles.

Danielson is finally able to counter out and tags in Quackenbush who goes to work on Thomas. Chikara Special ties up Thomas but does not get the submission. QUACKENDRIVER II connects and ACH jumps in for the save but Quackenbush tosses ACH to the floor and then crushes QUACKENDRIVER III lands and gets the win. BJ Whitmer b. “No Fear” Mike Mondo in a Pure Violence Match. This was an absolutely bloody war. Both men held nothing back. Mondo struck first with a chair busting Whitmer open. Later, Whitmer came back running Mondo into the ring post so both men were bleeding profusely. The traded suplexes onto a ladder and brawled throughout the venue. In the ring, Mondo nearly ended it with a Mondo Facebuster. Mondo hit another supelex onto a ladder. Both men wore out a chair on each other. Another suplex on the ladder from Mondo has the fans chanting. Whitmer battles back from the brink and hits an Adrenaline Spike for a near fall. Mondo takes another one but still kicks out much to the excitement of ringside. Mondo is practically out on his feet and gets crushed with a WRIST CLUTCH EXPLODER for the three count.
