It is official, I will be making my first trip to Japan later this year!
Here in the US, I just do not have much family (and I lost two close ones since as early as New Years) but my only sibling (my sister) lives in Tokyo.
My tentative itinerary has me in Tokyo and Hiroshima for most days, but I want to see some wrestling too if possible. Are there any major wrestling shows happening in Tokyo during Thanksgiving week? @kernodle or anyone else who may know, please let me know- thanks!

That’s awesome, Vegas. My #1 most wanted item on my wrestling to do list. Have tons of fun, get something cool from the NJPW store, and be sure to tell us all about it.
Now back to my Caps! Haha

Probably won't be any major shows happening Thanksgiving week but you might be able to catch one of the New Japan Tag League shows or a Big Japan show at Korakuen.
I'm planning on making the trip over in January for the Dome show if I can save the money in time to get a flight/ticket to the Dome.
EDIT: Just looked and Big Japan are running Korakuen on 11/27. I don't think New Japan have Tag League dates announced yet. Dragon Gate has a Korakuen show announced for 11/6 but that's obviously long before you'll be over there. I'll keep an eye open for any shows that pop up for that week and let you know.

I know I will definitely be in Tokyo that Friday night (I think 11/23?) because I fly out of there early the next morning. If there is a NJPW Tag League show that night I would go for sure.

You'll have a blast. Loved Japan the week I was there when the NFL brought me over to perform at the World Bowl (opening for Cheap Trick at the Tokyo Dome)! I really want to go back. Thinking maybe next year. Super safe city to walk around in and Roppongi is a must visit for the nightlife!

Last night at the ROH TV tapings my friend sent me thus website (en.puwota.com) for all the wrestling shows in Japan.
New Japan has a show at Korakuen Hall at 6:30 on Sunday the 18th but that is the day I land in Tokyo and I am not sure if I will be there in time for that show (if so though I am definitely going to try anf go to it.)
However there is wrestling every single night I am there. One show on my radar is K-1 at Korakuen Hall on Wednesday November 21st.
There are 12 shows on Friday November 23rd but none in Hiroshima where I am going to be that night.

packing now, I will be in Japan before this weekend is over
looking forward to seeing my sister (who lives in Tokyo) once again- obviously I do not see her often as she lives in the Eastern Hemisphere,
hopefully going to the show at Korakuen Hall on Wednesday night (Tuesday night in the US!)

I barely made my flight to San Francisco (they were announcing my name as a last call on the intercom and closing the gate right as I showed up) but I made my flight.
Currently drinking beer in the international terminal at San Francisco’s airport and then I fly to Tokyo in 2 hours. My sister lives in Tokyo so I am looking forward to seeing her again.
This is my first time ever going to Asia, so I am excited!
