Shayne and Basilisk seem like an odd pair but I think they might compliment each other nicely. Basilisk with all the "add 1s" and Shayne with the finishers. I'm interested in seeing how well they do as Tag Champs.

From an offensive standpoint, this team would absolutely slay... And as champions, Basilisk can really let loose and not be too concerned with getting disqualified... Savage!

The setting: We’re back on Castilex aka New Aethra for the next 2 fight cards, and they’re HUGE! Our main event tonight is an ULTIMATE AETHRAN ESCAPE MATCH between the Gladiators and the AniMen. No time to waste!

* Aethran Soldier (2) beats Climber (2) after a Gladiator Piledriver.

* Tank squashes Demon Godsend (1) w Scorpion Attack.

After the match (feud table) Tank and Climber lay out Demon Godsend w FDF TRADITION just like they did to Godsend! Demon Godsend is injured for 6 big cards! Demon Godsend goes out on the stretcher!

GWF INTERPLANETARY CHAMPION Tharkas is out with an OPEN CHALLENGE! He says he is so disgusted by the behavior of humanoids that he has made it his life’s mission to destroy all humans. Tharkas challenges any human brave enough to meet him in his ring...

It’s AZUMA!

* Azuma squashes Tharkas (2) w ZENSHO to win the GWF INTERPLANETARY TITLE!

NEW I-P CHAMPION - AZUMA!

* The Conquerors bad night continues when HelSin destroys his former tag team partner Psi (5) w BURIAL.

* Things go from bad to worse for the Conquerors in a CYGNUS BRASS KNUCKLES MATCH when Endgame squashes Epoch (12), mercifully finishing him w THIS ENDS NOW.

Epoch is injured for 6 fight cards. Epoch takes the 2nd stretcher job of the night. The blood thirsty Aethran crowd loves it!

* The Basilisk (9) defeats Orrus the Unstoppable (11) in the TORTURE CHAMBER in a bloody brutal fight.

Orrus is injured for 1 fight card. With no more stretchers available, the tough as nails Orrus picks himself up off the ground and roughs his way up the ramp.

* Shayne (6) kicks out of REGIME CHANGE twice to come back and defeat Sly Drury (6) in an EARTH BULLWHIP MATCH w EYE 4 EYE.

MAIN EVENT

The crowd is absolutely on fire 🔥 as the monstrous cage lowers over the ring for our main event!

ULTIMATE AETHRAN ESCAPE MATCH

* Siege pins Wolf w AETHRAN CRIPPLER (+3) escaping first to a massive pop.

* Tempest (3) escapes next after pinning Paralyze w HIGH TIDES.

* GWF GALACTIC CHAMPION MONOLITH tags in and hits CATASTROPHE on Fist - then walks out of the cage to a crazy reaction from the crowd! The champ is only In the match for one move!

* The Gladiators begin to panic when Kill Prey (6) escapes after pinning Paralyze (missed turnbuckle charge).

* Not to be shown up, Aethran Overmaster tags in for the first time, crushes Wolf w a running lariat and pins him!

Overmaster gives Fist & Paralyze instructions before escaping the cage.

* Fist (6) survives SAVAGE FACE CLAW after a PIN save and momentum changer by Paralyze - then pins Wolf after a low blow to escape.

It comes down to two legends! The crowd is going crazy!

* Paralyze (7) hits Wolf (7) w HEART STOPPER and walks out of the cage to win the match.

The GLADIATORS celebrate their victory over the AniMen as we fade to black.

Coming next...THE TRIAL OF GODSEND BEGINS!

I forgot to mention: Interesting how the ARENA makes each fight card have it's own flavor, with the home crowd getting into it! I hadn't even THOUGHT of something like that! (I was brought up playing "Strat-O-Matic Football" and there was NEVER anything like that in the game back then.)

I'm glued to my TV set, waiting for the trial to start! Cue the ol' PERRY MASON theme:

Fans may have noticed Wolf took all 4 losses in that match. It’s really left me wondering if and how that might affect him at this stage of his career.

Has Wolf lost his touch teaming with Kill Prey?

Was Wolf better and more dangerous when he was a loner on the run from Kill Prey and trying to establish himself as the top AniMan in the GWF feuding w MONOLITH?

Has teaming with them both taken the fight out of Wolf?

Can Wolf regain his savage nature by leaving the AniMen and going back out on his own?

These are the things I’m left wondering...

And I bet somewhere out there in the galaxy Wolf is too. 🐺
