Thanks for your comments Crimson and Bookerbill. Gorgeous George over Bob Backlund was unexpected but a great win for George. FTB is doing pretty good in ACW as well. It's kind of my take on the Jersey Triad from WCW just without the Jersey in it. Up next is action from PCW, I hope you enjoy it and I know our good friend Joebreakdown will love the opening match outcome...
Card #1428 - Cow Palace - San Francisco, CA - Pacific Coast Wrestling
01) Johnny Rodz defeated Johnny Mantell Referee: James Beard
* Johnny Mantell out of Montague County, TX, faced the “Unpredictable” Johnny Rodz of ASW in the opening bout. This was a competitive match with Rodz surprising Mantell at several turns. Mantell scored with the Russian Leg Sweep but Rodz got his foot over the bottom rope breaking up the pin. That appeared to affect Mantell as Rodz survived his finisher and came back with a piledriver for a two count followed by a Shoulder Breaker for the pin. It was a stunning result but further proof that the stars of LOW All-Star Wrestling are always capable of getting a victory.
02) Nord the Barbarian (with Jonny Fairplay) defeated Scott Casey Referee: Joey Marella
* The arrogant Jonny Fairplay representing Hollywood Inc., a faction bankrolled by Hollywood star Andy Kaufman, was proud to introduce their newest signing, Nord the Barbarian! The powerful and intimidating force from Bozeman, MT, hit the ring with reckless abandon to face his opponent “Cowboy” Scott Casey. The popular Casey held his own, even kicking out after taking a Leg Drop, but Nord overpowered him in the end. With a smiling Fairplay watching on, Nord locked Casey in a Full Nelson to score a submission victory in his PCW debut.
03) Midnight Heat (with Guy Tweakacetti) defeated Pat Patterson & Ray Stevens Referee: Dick Woehrle
* What was supposed to be a big welcome home to the Cow Palace and a formal debut in PCW turned into a nightmare scenario for Pat Patterson & Ray “The Crippler” Stevens. The two received a heroes welcome as they entered the ring to do battle with Midnight Heat, “Precious” Eddie Pearl & “Rockin” Ricky Gibson, managed by Guy Tweakacetti. Almost from the start something seemed off as Patterson hit the Bombs Away on Pearl only to have the pin reversed by Gibson with an elbow drop for a near fall. It was a bad omen as despite some runs on offense after that they could never get it going in the right direction. The teamwork of Midnight Heat came into play and, after delivering The Power Ballad, it was Pearl scoring the pin on Stevens.
It was a shocking result as Patterson and Stevens seemed outclassed by the underdog team, and it boiled over. Stevens first went after the referee claiming a fast count but when Patterson tried to intervene he was decked with a punch by “The Crippler”! Patterson couldn’t believe what had happened and Stevens, obviously incensed, waved him off and left the ring perhaps ending the legendary pairing before they could even gain a foothold in PCW. The crowd didn’t know how to react but they did applaud an obviously frustrated Patterson as he left the ring.
04) The Grappler (with Jonny Fairplay) defeated Brickhouse Brown Referee: James Beard
* Brickhouse Brown out of Miami, FL, looked to score a big win as he faced The Grappler of Hollywood Inc. Manager Jonny Fairplay was back at ringside representing the masked man who was on his game here. Brown’s efforts went for naught as The Grappler dominated the home stretch before unleashing his controversial Loaded Boot for the pin.
05) Empress Ring Tag Team Titles: Candi Divine & Susan Green© defeated Twisted Sisterz to retain the titles Referee: Joey Marella
* The 6th Empress Ring Tag Team Champions Candi Divine & Susan Green put the titles on the line against the strong challenge of Twisted Sisterz, Thunder Rosa & Holidead. Divine and Rosa seemed to have it in for each other as they had some torrid exchanges throughout the match. This was one of those bouts that could have gone either way but it was the defending champions coming out on top. Divine caught Rosa in a Body Scissors rolled into a pinning combination for the three count. It was a successful version one title defense for Divine and Green against some tough opposition.
06) Alexander Hammerstone (with Jimmy Hart) defeated Dutch Savage Referee: James Beard
* Popular veteran star Dutch Savage faced the powerful Alexander Hammerstone, a key member of the First Family with manager Jimmy Hart. Savage got off to an explosive star causing a panicked Hart to yell through his megaphone trying to rally his young prodigy. Hammerstone mounted a nice counterattack and twice hit the Nightmare Pendulum but Savage kicked out of the pin attempts. Some tough exchanges followed before Hammerstone countered a bodyslam by Savage and delivered a Pumphandle Fallaway Slam to score the pin. It was a huge win for Hammerstone over the former LOW Tex-Arkana Television Champion.
07) Adam Pearce (with Jonny Fairplay) defeated The Spoiler Referee: Joey Marella
* The Spoiler accepted an “open challenge” From Hollywood Inc’s new flagship star, “Scrap Iron” Adam Pearce, drawing the ire of Jonny Fairplay. The irritating Fairplay had been trying to recruit The Spoiler for weeks but was turned down by the veteran masked man. This was the conclusion of that recruitment process as The Spoiler made it known that he was not going to be bought. That gave the crowd a reason to cheer for The Spoiler and he delivered by taking Pearce to the limit. That included kicking out of the pin after Pearce nailed him with the Jumping Piledriver. Pearce was busted open and in a bad way late but he managed to stun The Spoiler with a choke slam. That led to Pearce applying the Figure Four Leglock and winning it by submission as The Spoiler was unable to find an escape.
08) Handicap Match: Andre the Giant & Pepper Gomez defeated Love Brothers & Rock Riddle Referee: Joey Marella
* A special attraction was up next as the “Eighth Wonder of the World” Andre the Giant made his way to PCW teaming with Pepper Gomez to face the Love Brothers, Reginald & Hartford Love, and Rock Riddle of Hollywood Inc. in a Handicap Match. The Hollywood Inc. trio had a great run on offense by neutralizing Gomez and preventing Andre from tagging into the match. That all turned when Gomez made a counter and delivered the Mexican Cradle on Hartford for a two count. He followed with a tag to Andre and everything broke down. The Love Brothers were able to get a Body Slam and Knee Drop combo on the giant but an arrogant Riddle wanted in. He went for the cover but Andre powered out of the pin before ultimately hitting the Big Splash on the wrestler-manager for the pin. The crowd cheered the big win as Gomez jumped into the arms of Andre in celebration.
09) Adrian Adonis, Playboy Buddy Rose & Doug Somers (with Jimmy Hart) defeated Don Leo Jonathan, Rob Van Dam & Adrian Quest Referee: James Beard
* Trios action saw the “Mormon Giant” Don Leo Jonathan join forces with Rob Van Dam & “Young Fuego” Adrian Quest to take on the First Family team of Adrian Adonis, Playboy Buddy Rose & “Pretty Boy” Doug Somers. Manager Jimmy Hart was in the corner for the First Family and this match gave him some anxious moments. Jonathan seems to have had a change of heart as he paired up with RVD, a man he had battled recently, for this occasion. They worked well together along with Quest, the young protégé of RVD, but it would not lead to victory. Adonis used his veteran guile to overcome Quest late, planting him with both the bulldog headlock and the DDT. That set it up for Rose who delivered the Inside Backbreaker on Quest for the pin as his First Family teammates prevented an attempted save.
10) LOW International Heavyweight Title: Fred Blassie defeated Rikidozan to win the title Referee: Morgan Dollar
* The main event saw the 48th LOW International Heavyweight Champion Rikidozan defend against former champion the “King of Men” Fred Blassie. LOW senior referee Morgan Dollar was the man in charge and he did a great job of calling the intense action. The two men had some torrid back-and-forth exchanges centering around chops, slaps, kicks, stomps and chokes. Blassie gained control late and twice hit the Southern Neckbreaker but Rikidozan was able to kick out of the pin attempts. That left Blassie frustrated with Rikidozan making a spirited comeback. The finish was controversial as Blassie regained control and delivered a low blow followed by a third Southern Neckbreaker for the pin. Blassie was crowned a two-time LOW International Heavyweight Champion, setting an example that the men he manages – Iron Sheik, Nikolai Volkoff, and Pampero Firpo – would hope to follow in obtaining championship gold.

Thanks for your comments TTX and Bookerbill. Rodz winning was a surprise but a fun one and Fairplay has definitely been gaining a real presence in PCW alongside his co-manager Rock Riddle. Their benefactor, one Mr. Andy Kaufman, has to be ecstatic at this point. Now it's on to the next show coming from Canada courtesy of Grand Prix Wrestling...
Card #1429 - Winnipeg Arena - Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada - Grand Prix Wrestling
01) Wild Bull Curry defeated Kenny Jay Referee: James Beard
* The “Sodbuster” Kenny Jay of LOW All-Star Wrestling may have been over his head taking on Wild Bull Curry. It was a one-sided affair dominated by the brawling tactics of Curry. After slipping on a pair of Brass Knuckles, Curry knocked out Jay to score the pin. Curry grabbed the mic afterward growling something about wanting Andre the Giant next!
02) Alexis Smirnoff (with Nikita Breznikov) defeated Lanny Poffo Referee: Joey Marella
* The popular “Leaping” Lanny Poffo squared off with Russian star Alexis Smirnoff who had a new manager in his corner, In a deal made prior to the show, Nikita Breznikov purchased the contract of Smirnoff from “Elegant” Eddie Fyne. It was an interesting switch and one Poffo wasn’t ready for. Poffo did, however, make a strong showing against his larger foe in a match that almost went to the time limit. Smirnoff survived the Sky Drop late and caught Poffo with a devastating Heart Punch to score the pin.
03) Long Riders defeated The Crusaders by Count Out Referee: Dick Woehrle
* A new tag team joined GPW in The Crusaders, Crusader #1 & Crusader #2, but they had a tough debut taking on the Long Riders, “Wild” Bill Irwin & Scott “Hog” Irwin. The Crusaders, wearing white masks and matching white ring attire, had some good moments in this one but the Long Riders would prevail. That came during a brawl on the floor where Bill Irwin blasted Crusader #2 with a Float Kick and barely beat the ten count back into the ring. The Long Riders won it by count out but The Crusaders showed that they could become key players on the tag team scene in GPW.
04) Bad News Allen (with Sir Oliver Humperdink) defeated Tiger Conway Sr. Referee: James Beard
* Tiger Conway Sr. faced the debuting Bad News Allen, the latest addition to the House of Humperdink led by Sir Oliver Humperdink. Conway Sr. did his level best to spoil the debut of the intimidating Allen, a native of Harlem, NY. He was able to dominate for good stretches and twice survived the Ghetto Blaster delivered by Allen. The fans rallied behind the popular Conway Sr. but Allen was able to reverse the momentum. After some wild action on the floor, Allen delivered a third Ghetto Blaster to score the pin.
05) Angelo Mosca defeated Butcher Vachon Referee: Dick Woehrle
* Two bulls collided as Angelo “King Kong” Mosca squared off with Butcher Vachon. The referee had his hands full with these two but did a good job of calling the action. Vachon got off to a strong start, planting Mosca with a backbreaker for a two count. He took it outside but that fired up Mosca who took control. Mosca proceeded to dominate the bout and, after a corner clothesline, he locked on the Sleeper to score an impressive submission victory.
06) Triple Threat Match: Kevin Blackwood defeated Brian Pillman Jr. and Mike Bailey Referee: James Beard
* Three of the top young stars in GPW squared off in Triple Threat action as Brian Pillman Jr., “Speedball” Mike Bailey, and Kevin Blackwood tested their skills against each other. The crowd was split in their support of the three men though Bailey seemed to have a slightly higher response. At any rate, this was an outstanding bout that saw all three men with chances to win. Bailey looked to have Blackwood beat with Ultima Weapon but he missed the daredevil move. Blackwood took advantage and hit the Diving Double Stomp on Bailey for a near fall. Pillman Jr. had some great runs on offense but was victimized in the end when Blackwood caught him with the Diving Double Stomp for a snake eyes pin.
07) Yukon Eric & Larry Hennig defeated Masked Superstar & Eric the Red (with Eddie Fyne) Referee: Joey Marella
* The double-tough team of Yukon Eric & Larry “The Axe” Hennig faced the Masked Superstar & Eric the Red, an equally tough combination managed by “Elegant” Eddie Fyne. The Eric and Hennig combo dominated from the opening bell, forcing Fyne to get involved several times to prevent his team from losing. The Superstar caught Eric with the Swinging Neckbreaker for a two count and Eric the Red used his bone in highlights from Fyne’s team. It wasn’t enough to win it, though, as Eric and Hennig made a big comeback. That was culminated by Hennig nailing Eric the Red with The Axe to score the pin.
08) Empress Ring Title: Toni Rose© (with Fabulous Moolah) defeated Mildred Burke to retain the title Referee: Dick Woehrle
* This highly anticipated title rematch saw Mildred Burke challenge 15th Empress Ring Champion Toni Rose, attempting to regain the title she lost to Rose at New York’s Madison Square Garden (Card #1415). Rose, however, threw a monkey wrench in as one of Burke’s fiercest rivals, the Fabulous Moolah, accompanied the champion to ringside. Moolah said that she was now the official manager of Rose after Burke attempted to have her ejected from ringside.
The addition of Moolah looked to inspire Rose as she battled Burke hard, including twice hitting her Neckbreaker for near falls. Burke had to dig down deep and did so giving the champion a number of scary moments. Rose was able to avoid the vaunted Alligator Clutch, though, and that played a big role in this intense battle. The finish was controversial as Burke went for a backdrop but Moolah grabbed Rose as she hit the ropes. Rose then stumbled forward and caught a surprised Burke with the Neckbreaker for the pin. It was a successful version two title defense for Rose over a former dominant champion in Burke, and now with Moolah at her side it is going to be tough to dethrone her.
09) Abdullah the Butcher, One Man Gang & George Steele (with Sir Oliver Humperdink) defeated Killer Kowalski, John Tolos & Chris Tolos Referee: James Beard
* Grand Prix Wrestling promoters have made it known that any matchup is possible and this trios battle of villains saw Killer Kowalski and the Hamilton Wrecking Crew, John & Chris Tolos, take on House of Humperdink members Abdullah the Butcher, One Man Gang & George “The Animal” Steele. This was a war. With manager Sir Oliver Humperdink urging his men on, they went at Kowalski and the Tolos Brothers both in and out of the ring. Abdullah survived a Claw Hold from Kowalski and that seemed to turn the tide of a violent match. It was Steele that led his team to victory after posting Chris Tolos outside and then snatching him up in the Flying Hammerlock for a snake eyes submission victory. Both teams battled after the bell and it took a host of GPW officials and some wrestlers to separate the six men.
10) The Sheepherders defeated The Quebecers Referee: Joey Marella
* A terrific tag team main event saw The Quebecers, Jacques Rougeau & Pierre Carl Oullett, face The Sheepherders, Butch Miller & Luke Williams, in a Canada versus New Zealand showdown. Both teams were on point in this match with great teamwork and pin save attempts on display. The Sheepherders hit all three of their finishers – the Running Knee Smash, Battering Ram and Double Gutbuster – but couldn’t win it. The reserve shown by The Quebecers led to them hitting the Tower of Quebec on Miller but Williams broke it up setting off a four-way brawl. Things broke down late and, after a battle on the outside, The Sheepherders delivered the Battering Ram on Jacques with Miller scoring the pin. It was a huge win for The Sheepherders and no doubt The Quebecers will look to avenge this defeat down the line.

Thanks for your comments Bookerbill, Pariah and TTX! I'm really liking this new Canadian territory in my fed, paying homage to the classic Grand Prix Wrestling and using some Canadian legends like The Crusaders adds to the fun. I have plans to introduce another territory (yes, another one!) in my new fed year but that's a long way off. I'll keep that one close to the vest for now. Next, we roll on with a special Wednesday night edition of, no not Dynamite, but the hub of LOW with a broadcast of LOW All-Star Wrestling. I hope that you enjoy it...
Card #1430 - LOW All-Star Wrestling - Episode 102
PWI Newswire with Bill Apter:
“Pro wrestling is one of the fastest moving and evolving sports in the world and the time that has passed in between editions of LOW All-Star Wrestling has proven that to be the case. Welcome, wrestling fans, and I’m PWI Editor Bill Apter coming to you direct from the home offices of Pro Wrestling Illustrated in Blue Bell, PA. As I stated at the top, the fast and evolving business that is professional wrestling has seen some major changes right here in LOW. No less than three major championships changed hands, a reigning champion has added a new manager and both Japan and Mexico are gearing up for major annual events that we are all looking forward to.
First and foremost, a determined Harley Race became a three-time holder of the LOW World Heavyweight Title as he ended the impressive title reign of the “Macho Man” Randy Savage. After a controversial title bout between the two for Atlantic Coast Wrestling at the Omni in Atlanta, GA (#1413), Race petitioned for a rematch which ACW granted him at the Bayfront Center Arena in St. Petersburg, FL (#1426). Race made the most of that opportunity and bested Savage after a classic battle to become the new champion. It was a bitter defeat for Savage who had a very ambitious title defense schedule that may have worn him down. Savage has made no excuses, however, and is headed back to the CWA as he eagerly awaits another shot at the gold.
Many fans were excited when the British Bulldogs, Dynamite Kid & Davey Boy Smith, won the LOW World Tag Team Titles from Jack & Jerry Brisco. I admit to being drawn into that excitement as well but as we all know the competition in LOW is as tough as it gets. The Bulldogs barely had time to enjoy their championships when the Road Warriors, Animal & Hawk, and their manager “Precious” Paul Ellering came calling. The match was set up for the Boston Gardens in Boston, MA (#1425) and after a tough battle the Road Warriors were crowned record 10-time LOW World Tag Team Champions. Ellering was ecstatic when I spoke to him as his men had waited a long time for that opportunity and they seized on it. Ellering knows that the road will be tough but he is determined to have this tenth reign for the Legion of Doom make a statement in the annals of LOW history.
The boastful “King of Men” Fred Blassie, sometimes also known as “The Vampire” or even “Classy” Freddie Blassie, made his own history in Pacific Coast Wrestling. At the famed Cow Palace in San Francisco, CA (#1428), Blassie upended Kings Road United star Rikidozan to become a two-time holder of the title. It was a huge win for Blassie who serves double duty as both a wrestler and manager. His current list of clients include Nikolai Volkoff, Iron Sheik, and Pampero Firpo.
Speaking of managers who also wrestle, the Fabulous Moolah has thrown her hat into the managerial ring and is now handling the contract of reigning Empress Ring Champion Toni Rose. For those unfamiliar, Moolah trained Rose for her career in the pro wrestling business and after Rose upset Mildred Burke for the title the two reconnected. The union of manager and wrestler became official on a Grand Prix Wrestling event at the Winnipeg Arena in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada (#1429) where Moolah played a pivotal role in Rose beating Burke in a title rematch. I spoke to Moolah shortly after that match and she vowed that her wrestling career would continue while she handles her managerial obligations for Rose. Burke was incensed over the outcome of that match and no doubt will continue to seek out matches against both Rose and Moolah.
Lucha MAX owner Karlee Perez recently announced the highly anticipated return of King of Trios taking place at El Toreo de Cuatro Caminos in Naucalpan, Mexico (#1439). Perez said that the field has been reduced to sixteen from thirty-two, largely since last years event was used to crown the first LOW Trios Champions. The reigning two-time champions of Vampiro, Kevin Thorn & Darby Allin will not be participating but observing as the winning team will be determined the top contenders for the belts. The same holds trued for LOW Junior Heavyweight Champion Juventud Guerrera who will look on and await the winner of the returning Rey de Voladores to see who will emerge as his top challenger.
The following is the full lineup for the highly anticipated King of Trios event:
First Round: AJ Styles & Rock n' Roll Express (ACW) vs. Team Angle (CWA) The Kingdom (Lucha MAX) vs. Pirata Morgan, Rey Bucanero & Hallowicked (Lucha MAX) Jay White, Giant Bernard & Dan Spivey (KRU) vs. The French Angel, Yukon Eric & Larry Hennig (GPW) Keith Lee, Calvin Tankman & Shane Strickland (IWTV) vs. Tony Garea, Larry Zbyszko & Red Bastien (CWA) Kenny Omega & Young Bucks (IWTV) vs. Gorgeous George, Sputnik Monroe & Bobby Shane (GAW) Pampero Firpo, Nikolai Volkoff & Iron Sheik (PCW) vs. Doctor X, Gringo Loco & Sam Adonis (Lucha MAX) Mil Mascaras, Konnan & Sammy Guevara (Lucha MAX) vs. Los Ingobernables (Lucha MAX) Bandido, El Generico & Willie Mack (Lucha MAX) vs. Hernandez & Texas Hangmen (Lucha MAX)
Rey de Voladores - Match One: Ricochet vs. Frightmare vs. Jushin Liger vs. Laredo Kid Rey de Voladores - Match Two: Super Crazy vs. Tiger Mask vs. Rey Horus vs. Mike Bailey
The finals of both events will take place that night and it will be really interesting to see who prevails in the end. On a different front, Kings Road United is hosting their fourth annual Real World Tag League upcoming. Opening night ceremonies are at Korakuen Hall in Tokyo, Japan (#1442) and the finals will take place at the Seibu Dome in Seibu, Japan (#1449). The winning team will, of course, be in line for a shot at the LOW World Tag Team Championship. There have been no participating teams announced yet but I will have the full tournament lineup on the next edition of ASW. That’s all for now wrestling fans and stay tuned for another exciting edition of LOW All-Star Wrestling and I will see you at the matches…”
WMC-TV5 Studios - Memphis, TN - Hour One - Announcers: Lance Russell & Dave Brown
LR: “Ok and welcome to this first hour of, ok what are you two guys doing out here? Danny Doring and Amish Roadkill you aren’t scheduled to be here.”
DD: “Pipe down, Lance. Now as everyone knows me and Roadkill are the cornerstones of ASW, a tag team to be feared by any and all throughout LOW. War Machine found that out the hard way and they tucked tail and ran, not only from the CWA but LOW altogether. That is a huge feather in our cap and right now me and Roadkill are going into that ring and demanding competition. If anyone has the guts meet us in the ring!”
LR: Well, you heard it right from his mouth, folks, and everyone in the back there is an open challenge out here so step on up. While we wait, pardner, why don’t you give us a rundown of our first hour of action.”
DB: “Ok Lance, we have some great bouts ready to go. We will see Kurt Angle, Sabu, and King of Trios favorites Los Ingobernables all in action not to mention the wild and crazy Moondogs. In addition, it will be a Loser Leaves PCW bout between Jeff Cobb and Mark Henry in our main event. After today, one man will no longer be under the employ of Pacific Coast Wrestling and so those are huge stakes. Without further ado, let’s go to the ring and see just who will answer this open challenge by Doring and Roadkill…”
01) America’s Most Wanted vs. Danny Doring & Amish Roadkill was a DDQ
* Danny Doring and Amish Roadkill may have gotten more than they bargained for as the surprise debut of America’s Most Wanted, “Cowboy” James Storm & “Wildcat” Chris Harris, took up their open challenge. The studio audience erupted in cheers for AMW as they battled tooth-and-nail with Doring and Roadkill. This was a very competitive bout that ended in controversy. During a battle outside, the Filthy White Boys, Tom Lawlor & Dirty White Boy, got involved and went after AMW. The end result was a double disqualification as the match was thrown out.
After commercial break, a heated Storm and Harris joined Russell in the interview area and called out the Filthy White Boys but they didn’t return. Harris said that the FWB jumped him in ECW thinking he had no backup but now he has the best backup of his career, his best friend Harris! AMW promised to hunt down the FWB all over ECW.
02) Sabu (with Bill Alfonso) defeated Mike Jackson
* Perennial Alabama Junior Heavyweight champ Mike Jackson faced the “Homicidal, Suicidal, Genocidal” Sabu of ECW. With manager Bill Alfonso in his corner, Sabu was a man on a mission as he foiled Jackson’s offense before nailing him with the Arabian Facebuster for the pin. Alfonso stopped by the announce table afterward and said that while Sabu was expecting Randy Savage he is more than ready to face Harley Race for the LOW World Heavyweight Title. Russell noted that Sabu will challenge Race for the championship upcoming at the Mid-South Coliseum in Memphis, TN (#1432).
03) Kurt Angle defeated Rocky Kernodle
* Rocky Kernodle out of Charlotte, NC, faced CWA star Kurt Angle. This was a quick workout for Angle who outwrestled Kernodle and pinned him with a Power Bomb. Brown noted how impressive the win was for Angle who can beat you in any number of ways, a statement that Russell wholeheartedly agreed with.
04) Los Ingobernables (with Scarlett Bordeaux) defeated Ric McCord, George South & Nacho Barrera
* The trio of Ric McCord, George South & Nacho Barrera had a tough assignment taking on Los Ingobernables consisting of Rush, Killer Kross & Homicide. Accompanied by the beautiful Scarlett Bordeaux, Los Ingobernables are gearing up for King of Trios and although the opposition put up a fight it was clear they were outclassed. Rush took it home for his team deathjump style as he pinned South with a Flying Cross Body Block.
05) The Moondogs (with Kevin Sullivan & Luna Vachon) defeated Beef Candy by Count Out
* The flamboyant Beef Candy, Richie Slade & Flex McCallion, faced The Moondogs, Rex & Spot, of ECW in tag team action. Accompanied by both Kevin Sullivan and Luna Vachon, The Moondogs were at their crazy best taking the measure of Beef Candy most of the way. Slade and McCallion did manage to execute Candy Mutilation on Rex but Sullivan got involved with the referee breaking that up. In the end, The Moondogs mauled Beef Candy outside the ring and McCallion, who was the legal man, ended up being counted out. Russell referred to Sullivan, Vachon and The Moondogs as some “sick individuals” and said that The Pitbulls are in for a tough road against them in ECW.
06) Loser Leaves PCW Match: Mark Henry defeated Jeff Cobb
* It was all on the line in the hour one main event as “Mr. Athletic” Jeff Cobb battled “World’s Strongest Man” Mark Henry in a Loser Leaves PCW match. This was a slugfest between two of the strongest men in LOW. Henry twice hit the World’s Strongest Slam but somehow Cobb kicked out. Cobb showed amazing strength tossing Henry around and even hit Tour of the Islands but was unable to score the pin. After some wild battles outside the ring, Henry stormed back hitting a big backbreaker followed by a third World’s Strongest Slam of the match to score the pin. Just like that, Cobb’s career with Pacific Coast Wrestling was extinguished by his equally strong rival in Henry.
The Sportatorium - Tampa, FL - Hour Two - Announcer: Gordon Solie
GS: “Thanks, gentlemen, and what a tremendous first hour of action. Pacific Coast Wrestling’s loss is likely to be the gain of another promotion in LOW as I suspect that one Mr. Cobb will not be without a job for long. As for this hour, we have some exciting action in store not the least of which will be a main event for the LOW Tex-Arkana Television Title with new champion “Beautiful” Bobby Eaton defending against the esteemed George Tragos, a challenger selected by the random lottery system for that championship. Now let’s go up to the ring for our opening match…”
01) Mike Graham, Don Curtis, Les Thatcher & Ranger Ross defeated Wild Bill White, Tom Stone, Savage-T & Lenny Lane
* Atomicos action opened things up as ACW favorites Mike Graham, Don Curtis, Les Thatcher & Ranger Ross took on the ASW foursome of Wild Bill White, Tom “Rocky” Stone, Savage-T & Lenny Lane. This was a fun opening contest that ended when Thatcher blitzed Savage-T with a Series of Dropkicks for the pin.
02) Alexander Hammerstone (with Jimmy Hart) defeated Jake Milliman
* “Katie, bar the door!”, exclaimed Solie as PCW star Alexander Hammerstone jumped Jake “The Milkman” Milliman while manager Jimmy Hart provided a distraction. It wasn’t necessary to do that but Hammerstone could care less. He assaulted Milliman with a raging fury before delivering a Stalling Superplex for the pin.
03) Danny Hodge defeated Mr. X
* Making his return from injury, popular GAW star Danny Hodge took on Mr. X. Hodge put on a technical clinic and gave Mr. X little room to breathe. After some painful submission holds, Hodge caught Mr. X with his classic Oklahoma Side Roll for the pin.
“As great as these matches are on TV, they’re that much better live at your local arena so get out and watch them.”, said Solie. Hodge agreed and said that everyone will want a front row ticket the next time he gets Gorgeous George, the man who injured back in the ring. Hodge discussed George beating his good friend Bob Backlund recently, noting that he beat a man who was worn down by the “Russian Lion’ George Hackenschmidt. He credited George for his success but warned him not to look to far ahead because he is coming up in his rear view mirror.
04) Mike Rotunda defeated Keith Steinborn
* The technically sound Mike Rotunda of the CWA faced Macon, GA, native Keith Steinborn of ASW. Steinborn impressed in this bout by hanging with Rotunda and even dropping him with a DDT. It was a tough bout but Rotunda prevailed when he caught Steinborn with a Vertical Suplex and floated over on top of him for the pin.
05) Dark Sheik defeated Sumie Sakai
* Empress Ring action was featured next as Sumie Sakai, co-founder of the division, faced the mysterious Dark Sheik. The popular Sakai put up a great battle, including hitting Smash Mouth for a near fall. Dark Sheik turned the tables and, after Sakai kicked out of Welcome to Die! the first time, Sheik hit her finisher again and scored a pin.
06) LOW Tex-Arkana Television Title: Bobby Eaton© (with Jim Cornette) defeated George Tragos to retain the title
* The hour two main event saw George Tragos, a free agent star drawn by random lottery, take on newly crowned 45th LOW Tex-Arkana Television Champion “Beautiful” Bobby Eaton for the title. Manager Jim Cornette was in Eaton’s corner but sat in with Solie in the opening moments. Cornette complained that Tragos was a “ringer” sent in by LOW to relieve Eaton of the championship, citing Tragos’ feared technical skills. Solie doubted that but said Eaton had better be ready for a fight. A fight it was but in the end Eaton came out on top hitting a slingshot backbreaker followed by the Alabama Jam for the pin. It was a successful version one title defense for Eaton and a relieved Cornette.
Mid-Hudson Civic Center - Poughkeepsie, NY - Hour Three - Announcers: Gorilla Monsoon & Bobby Heenan
GM: “They are hanging from the rafters here in Poughkeepsie for hour three of LOW All-Star Wrestling! Welcome everybody I’m Gorilla Monsoon along with that “weasel” Bobby “the Brain” Heenan and…”
BH: “Wait, did you just refer to me as a “weasel”?”
GM: “Why in fact I did, Brain.”
BH: “Well I never!”
GM: “I’m sure you haven’t, Brain, now let’s go to the ring for our opening match!”
01) Ida Mae Martinez defeated Britt Baker
* The highly decorated Ida Mae Martinez, who was in on the ground floor of women’s competition in LOW, took on rising star Britt Baker out of Punxsutawney, PA. Heenan referred to the them as “two nice looking broads” prompting a big “Will You Stop!” from Monsoon who preferred to discuss the respective abilities of the two women. Baker did a great job of pushing Martinez to the limit, really roughing her up at one point. Martinez managed to survive, though, and after a series of high spots she blasted Baker with her trademark Dropkick for the pin.
02) Don Muraco defeated Cousin Luke
* The popular Cousin Luke faced “The Magnificent” Don Muraco of FTB Enterprises in ACW in a match that Monsoon said could be “a main event anywhere in the country”. Heenan balked at that but said that it’s possible since Luke’s background includes him being “President of the great unwashed of Hog Waller, TN!” Monsoon chastised Heenan before noting that Muraco looked to be in complete control. Luke had some moments but Muraco in large part dominated before nailing Luke with the Hawaiian Hammer for the pin.
03) The Grappler (with Rock Riddle) defeated Ron Hutchison
* The talented Ron Hutchison of ACW took on PCW star The Grappler, who was accompanied to the ring by manager Rock Riddle of Hollywood Inc. Monsoon wondered where Jonny Fairplay, the other manager in Hollywood Inc, was and Heenan said that “while two brains are better than one, wait I mean one brain is better than two. Wait…” Monsoon told him to quit while he is ahead as Hutchison gave The Grappler some anxious moments. The Grappler would go to the controversial Loaded Boot in the end, twice using it before covering Hutchison for the pin.
04) Piper's Pit with Pat Patterson:
* “Rowdy” Roddy Piper, flanked by his bodyguard “Ace” Cowboy Bob Orton, welcomed PCW star Pat Patterson as his guest. Piper went right for the jugular questioning Patterson on why he can’t keep a tag team partner. That was in reference to Patterson being jumped by his tag team partner Ray “The Crippler” Stevens after the two recently suffered an upset loss to Midnight Heat on a PCW card at the Cow Palace in San Francisco, CA (#1428). Patterson took exception to his line of questioning saying that it hit too close to home due to his longtime friendship with Stevens.
“If I might be quite candid with you… you’re an idiot.”, exclaimed Piper to a stunned Patterson. That set Patterson off and in his anger he challenged Piper to go into the ring and face him. Piper laughed it off and said he would have to fight someone else first to get a match with him. Patterson agreed and said he would take on Orton right now. Piper laughed again and said the match would take place next week on ASW and it would not be against Orton, it would be against Ray Stevens! Piper laughed and walked off with Orton as a stunned and angry Patterson tossed his chair over.
05) Rod Fenton defeated Frogman LeBlanc
* Frogman LeBlanc of ASW took on the rugged “Lightning” Rod Fenton of GAW. This was a one-sided affair with Fenton inflicting most of the damage. Heenan called Fenton “my kind of guy” but said he didn’t have room for him in the Heenan Family. Monsoon said that he would let Fenton know that leaving Heenan speechless. Fenton assaulted LeBlanc before delivering a Series of Dropkicks for the pin.
06) Jimmy Snuka defeated Larry Sharpe
* The hour three main event featured the long awaited return of Jimmy “Superfly” Snuka to television as he took on “Pretty Boy” Larry Sharpe of ASW. Snuka, who has signed with Grand Prix Wrestling in Canada, made quick work of Sharpe delivering a bodyslam and Backbreaker for the pin. The crowd was expecting more and Snuka, to the delight of them and Monsoon, mounted the top rope post-match and crushed Sharpe with the Superfly Leap. It was a fitting end to another eventful broadcast of LOW All-Star Wrestling.

Card #1431 - Memorial Auditorium - Greenville, SC - IWTV - Announcers: Ian Riccaboni & Excalibur
01) MJF, Austin Theory & Ricky Starks defeated Elijah Burke, Alan Angels & Starboy Charlie
* Three IWTV newcomers teamed up in the opener as “The Pope” Elijah Burke, Alan Angels & Starboy Charlie faced the arrogant threesome of MJF, Austin Theory & Ricky Starks. This was highly competitive with both teams having chances to win. The finish was controversial as another newcomer appeared at ringside tripping up Burke allowing MJF to deliver The Heatseeker for the pin.
IWTV interviewer Veda Scott tried to get a word with MJF afterward and he reluctantly obliged her. When pressed about the newcomer MJF revealed that he is obviously his longtime associate Richard Holliday, calling Veda “ignorant” for not knowing that. He tore into the IWTV roster saying that no one can stand up to The Dynasty, the most elite force in professional wrestling.
Scott agreed that it was a great collection of talent and then congratulated Starks for being on the winning side for the first time in IWTV. That tipped off MJF who thanked her for that tidbit of information and then, without warning, he joined Theory and Holliday in a gang attack on Starks. After the beatdown, MJF shouted, “The Dynasty is for winners and not losers like Ricky Starks!”
02) Masha Slamovich defeated Miranda Alize
* The Women’s Wrestling Army division of IWTV was showcased as Houston, TX, native Miranda Alize squared off with Russian born Masha Slamovich. Alize got off to a nice start but soon was overwhelmed by the powerful Slamovich. This turned into a one-sided affair down the stretch with Slamovich delivering the White Knight Driver for the pin.
03) Brody King defeated Danhausen
* The ever popular “Very Nice, Very Evil” Danhausen faced the monstrous Brody King in a challenge match. This was a spectacle as Danhausen gave the larger King some very anxious moments. King twice survived Devotion DDTHausen and struck back with the Gonzo Bomb for a big near fall. He also scored a near fall with a counter roll-up after Danhausen missed a corner charge. The finish saw King blasted Danhausen with a Tope Con Hilo before rolling him back into the ring for the pin.
* IWA Commissioner David Marquez headed to the ring for an important announcement but he was interrupted by an angry Jay Lethal who was accompanied by Scorpio Sky. Lethal demanded that Keith Lee be suspended indefinitely for putting him through a table, with him replacing Lee on the team with Calvin Tankman and Shane “Swerve” Strickland at King of Trios. Marquez said that this is professional wrestling and that if Lethal can’t handle it he should look for some different employment opportunities. Lethal had to be held back by Scorpio Sky as he continued to plead his case regarding Lee.
Marquez had enough and was going to render a decision but instead went ahead and announced that there is a new assistant commissioner in IWTV. With that he brought out Troy Peterson, the esteemed commissioner of IPW based out of Iowa. Marquez commended Peterson and said with all of the big decisions to be handled in IWTV it will be great to have an assistant to help out.
Lethal exploded with anger and said whoever “this clown is” needs to get out of the ring or else. That pleased Marquez who said Lethal could have his decision rendered but it would be Peterson making his first decision. Peterson thought about it for a second and informed Lethal that not only is Keith Lee not suspended from IWTV but instead it will be Lethal facing Lee in a Tables Match on the next IWTV card in Dallas, TX (#1441). Lethal went ballistic and had to be dragged out of the ring by Scorpio Sky as Marquez congratulated Peterson on joining IWTV as assistant commissioner.
04) Eric Young defeated Matty Star by Count Out
* A big grudge rematch saw Matty Star, a standout in IPW, face Eric Young coming off Star’s upset win over the debuting Young on the last IWTV event. Young got into it with ringsiders during the introductions by Larry Legend prompting Star to jump him before the bell. Star had a dominant run on offense including blasting Young with the Superkick for a near fall. A bewildered Young fought back and delivered the Spike Piledriver but somehow Star kicked out of the pin. That set off Young who got super aggressive and, after delivering a hangman’s neckbreaker on the ring apron, he picked up a count out win. Excalibur noted that Young is a dangerous man and Star found that out to which Riccaboni agreed.
05) Falls Count Anywhere Match: Mark & Jay Briscoe defeated Injustice
* The wild rivalry between Dem Boys, Mark & Jay Briscoe, and Injustice, “Hot Fiyah” Myron Reed & Jordan Oliver, led to this Falls Count Anywhere Match. The Briscoe Brothers have had their fill of Injustice and looked to gain revenge in the best way they know how – no rules! Excalibur noted that Dem Boys are as tough as they come and he expected that Injustice were in for a long night. That proved to be true as Injustice found themselves on the defensive most of the way, taking a beating as only Dem Boys can deliver. The finish of a wild battle saw Mark Briscoe come off of the ring apron with a Shooting Star Press on Reed for the pin.
06) Titus Alexander defeated Blake Christian
* Two of the hottest young talents in the game squared off as Titus Alexander met “All Heart” Blake Christian. Riccaboni said that Vin Gerard of IWTV does some excellent scouting and he personally signed this match, which shows the reach of IWTV in having access to the best available talent. This was a great bout, one which saw Christian, formerly of Kings Road United, nearly come away with the victory. Alexander, a native of Sacramento, CA, kept pace with Christian and took it in the end when he delivered the Sweet Time Driver for the pin.
07) IWA Women's Title: Tootie Lynn© defeated Billie Starkz to retain the title
* The first defense of the IWA Women’s Title saw inaugural champion Tootie Lynn face the woman she eliminated in the Battle Royal for the gold, the prodigy Billie Starkz. The determined Starkz got off to a hot start and hit the Joker Driver for a big near fall. Later, after a battle outside the ring, Starkz delivered the Swanton but somehow Lynn kicked out before the three count. Lynn was battling from behind but once she got it going she went to her specialty, the Fujiwara Armbar. Starkz survived the hold four times but the fifth time that Lynn locked it in it resulted in a submission victory. It was a successful version one title defense for Lynn who was congratulated by Starkz following the match.
08) Ross & Marshall Von Erich defeated Violence is Forever
* Revenge was on the minds of Ross & Marshall Von Erich as they hit the ring to face Violence is Forever, Dominic Garrini & Kevin Ku. VIF were responsible for injuring both Von Erich brothers breaking up the momentum they hoped to build in IWTV. Excalibur noted that the Von Erich’s thirst for revenge could prevent a victory. Riccaboni agreed and added that the Von Erich legacy was on the line and VIF would love nothing better than to send them home in defeat. This was a wild bout that saw both teams pulling out all the stops looking for a victory. Ku nearly brought that to VIF catching Ross with Ku-Die on Stage for a near fall. VIF twice tried to retreat and take count out loss but the Von Erich’s got them back into the ring. After a vicious back-and-forth exchange in the closing stretch, Ross caught Ku in the Iron Claw for a submission victory as Marshall dropkicked Garrini out of the ring.
09) IWTV Title: Warhorse© defeated Sparrow to retain the title
* The inaugural IWTV Champion Warhorse put the gold on the line against Sparrow, a standout in Impact Pro Wrestling. It was the first of two championship matches featuring IPW stars. Sparrow was bound and determined to wrest the gold from Warhorse and it showed early as a deathjump attack, via a flying cross body block, resulted in a two count. That was Sparrow putting the champion on notice that the title could be in jeopardy. What followed was a hotly contested battle that ended when Warhorse nailed Sparrow with Death by Doublestomp for the pin. It was a successful version one title defense for Warhorse over a very determined challenger.
10) IWA Heavyweight Title: The Big Picture defeated Adam Cole© by DQ
* The main event saw The Big Picture, a well decorated IPW star, challenge Adam Cole (Bay-Bay!) for the IWA Heavyweight Title. With all of the distractions for Cole, with banishing Roderick Strong from Undisputed Era resulting in an alliance between Strong, Bryan Danielson & Tyler Black, there was some concern he could be overlooking The Big Picture. That was pointed out by Excalibur and referred to Bobby Fish & Kyle O’Reilly, the reigning IWA Tag Team Champions known as reDRagon, being concerned about what Cole could be walking into. Riccaboni said that was a good point and noted that The Big Picture was the longest reigning champion in IPW history.
The Big Picture brought the fight to Cole right from the opening bell, using his height and weight advantage to punish the champion. Cole was reeling and The Big Picture took advantage delivering A Thousand Words for a big near fall. He didn’t stop there and pressed on with his attack leaving Cole in a desperate state. After a leapfrog body guillotine, The Big Picture went for the cover but he was suddenly jumped by reDRagon. Fish and O’Reilly battered The Big Picture as Cole slithered out of the ring and grabbed the title belt. He returned with the gold and was going to strike The Big Picture with it when suddenly SCU, Christopher Daniels and Kazarian, hit the ring to make the save. SCU joined The Big Picture in driving the Undisputed Era members out of the ring to a big pop from the crowd.
The official result was a disqualification win for The Big Picture and a successful version one title defense for Cole. It was a bitter result for the challenger but he was given huge news as IWTV Assistant Commissioner Troy Peterson came out and said that on the next card in Dallas it would be The Big Picture vs. Adam Cole in a title rematch inside of a Steel Cage plus SCU challenging reDRagon for the IWA Tag Team Titles. The Undisputed Era members went crazy as Riccaboni and Excalibur signed off saying that things will be rocking when IWTV gets to Texas.
