Thanks for your comments, Pariah and The Big Picture came close there. I'm glad you are looking forward to King of Trios which is always a fun event to run. Coming up next, we go extreme as in Eddie Gilbert's ECW for another wild night of action. I hope you enjoy it...
Card #1432 - Mid-South Coliseum - Memphis, TN - Extreme Continental Wrestling - Announcer: Todd Keneley
* âThe Franchiseâ Shane Douglas, followed hurriedly by Francine, stormed the ring and grabbed the microphone away from ring announcer Bobby Cruise. He was in a bad mood and immediately called out The Sandman, still angry over his being suspended while Sandman played hero saving The Pitbulls and Francine from an attack by Kevin Sullivanâs army. Seconds ticked off and no Sandman which led to ECW owner âHot Stuffâ Eddie Gilbert coming to ringside joined by his new right-hand man âSweet nâ Sourâ Larry Sweeney.
Gilbert opted not to enter the ring knowing that Douglas was still upset with his suspension, which had been lifted earlier in the day. He said that he knew what Douglas was going through but he was not getting The Sandman tonight, laughing âbecause The Sandman is passed out at a local bar, ha ha!â Douglas was not pleased but Gilbert, knowing that ECW was off the schedule for a while due to the Real World Tag League coming up, offered him an alternative.
He told him that he would pull some strings and get him a match with âthat drunken idiot!â on the next edition of LOW All-Star Wrestling. Douglas nodded in agreement while Francine looked on concerned. Gilbert went one better and said that it would be under ECW rules âso you two idiots can kill yourselves, ha ha!â Before leaving ringside, Gilbert told Todd Keneley to take notes because for tonightâs main event he would be replaced by a âreal announcer in Mr. Jim Ross!â
01) PG-13 defeated Super Troopers Referee: James Beard
* The popular Super Troopers, Officer Warren Barksdale & âSupercopâ Dick Justice, of All-Star Wrestling took on PG-13, J.C. Ice & Wolfie D, in the opening contest. The Troopers had their fun but PG-13 were dominant. Using quick tags and teamwork, they took out Barksdale with the Fist Bump & Elbow Drops with Wolfie D scoring the pin. Ice grabbed the mic post-match and said that PG-13 should represent ECW in the upcoming Real World Tag League.
02) Steve Keirn, Tracy Smothers, Hillbilly Jim & Al Snow defeated Brian Christopher, Madman Fulton, Steve Corino & Colby Corino Referee: Dick Woehrle
* Atomicos action was featured next as Steve Keirn, Tracy Smothers, Hillbilly Jim & Al Snow faced Brian Christopher, Madman Fulton, Steve Corino & Colby Corino. This was a stellar performance for the Keirn-led team as they were dominant in the home stretch. Steve Corino was the victim as he was unable to tag out and ultimately was laid out with a Big Boot to Face by Hillbilly Jim for the pin. Corinoâs son, Colby, angrily argued with referee Dick Woehrle over the fall but the veteran official would have none of it. Keirnâs team earned a popular victory.
03) Prince Kharis (with James Mitchell) defeated Mance Warner Referee: James Beard
* The âSouthern Psychoâ Mance Warner looked to be the first to put a blemish on the unbeaten record of the mysterious Prince Kharis, who was accompanied by his manager James Mitchell. Warner did everything in his power to take down Kharis, including delivering the Lariat. Mitchell got involved and tried to throw a fireball but that backfired and the vile manager was the one burned instead! With his manager out of the picture, Kharis somehow grew stronger and wound up pinning Warner after delivering the Magical Mummy Forearm. Keneley wondered just who could put Kharis down and set to check on All-Star Wrestling for a possible update on the status of the burned Mitchell.
04) 2 Cold Scorpio defeated Doug Gilbert Referee: Joey Marella
* The crowd barely had time to enjoy this contest between 2 Cold Scorpio and âDangerousâ Doug Gilbert. That was due to Scorpio getting frustrated with a stalling Gilbert and quickly disposing of him. Scorpio struck quickly and, after the Tumbleweed, he came off the top rope with The Diss That Donât Miss to score the pin. Gilbert was furious over the loss claiming a fast count but Scorpio took care of that by unceremoniously tossing him out of the ring.
05) America's Most Wanted defeated Filthy White Boys Referee: Joey Marella
* The first official showdown between Americaâs Most Wanted, âCowboyâ James Storm & âWildcatâ Chris Harris, and the Filthy White Boys, âFilthyâ Tom Lawlor & Dirty White Boy, started with a bang. FWB jumped AMW while Bobby Cruise attempted to introduce both teams. That quick start almost led to victory for them when Lawlor trapped Storm in a Rear Naked Choke. This turned into a really intense brawl with both teams bending the rules, with no fear of a disqualification with this being ECW. The finishing sequence saw Storm have a pin on DWB but Lawlor interfered briefly turning the momentum. Harris pounced on Lawlor, though, and Storm rallied delivering a Beer Bottle Smash on DWB to score the pin. AMW may have won the first match but the war is far from over between these two teams.
06) Ox Baker defeated Jackie Fargo Referee: Dick Woehrle
* The popular Jackie Fargo was looking for a statement victory in ECW but it would have to come at the expense of Ox Baker, the enforcer of Hot Stuff International. Fargo went at the larger Baker trading bombs both in and out of the ring. It was clear that he was not about to back down, especially in Memphis, his home away from home. Things were looking good for him until late in the match when Baker blasted him with the Heart Punch. Fargo somehow kicked out of the pin but he was in a bad way. Baker seized on that and delivered a second consecutive Heart Punch, this time resulting in the pin. It also resulted in a scary moment as an unresponsive Fargo was carried out of the arena on a stretcher.
07) The Pitbulls (with Francine) defeated The Moondogs (with Kevin Sullivan & Luna Vachon) Referee: Joey Marella
* There was nothing pretty about this grudge tag team battle between The Pitbulls, Pitbull #1 & Pitbull #2, and The Moondogs, Rex & Spot. With Francine in The Pitbulls corner and both Kevin Sullivan and Luna Vachon in the corner of The Moondogs, referee Joey Marella really had his hands full. The intensity was off the charts as both teams battled in and out of the ring. Sullivan sent Vachon after Francine at one point but Pitbull #1 pulled his manager out of harms way. Francine responded by running around him and tangling with Vachon until they were pulled apart by officials. This was only one wild moment in this bout. The finish came out of nowhere when Pitbull #2 delivered a Spinning Heel Kick on Spot for the pin.
The win by The Pitbulls ended the unbeaten streak of The Moondogs and Sullivan was not pleased. The Moondogs took orders from him and went back after The Pitbulls while Francine again took on Vachon. Sullivan interrupted dragging Francine off by the hair prompting Shane Douglas to hit the ring. The melee continued for several minutes until ECW owner Eddie Gilbert called in a calvary of wrestlers and officials to separate the two parties.
Gilbert grabbed the mic and said that when ECW returns after Real World Tag League it will be Douglas, The Pitbulls and Francine facing Sullivan, The Moondogs and Vachon in an eight-person tag team match. That drew cheers from the crowd but then Gilbert turned those into cheers when he announced that The Moondogs will be representing ECW in Real World Tag League. The Pitbulls were incensed as Sullivan laughed maniacally and told Gilbert that he âmade the right decisionâ in sending The Moondogs to Japan to bring back the accolades of Real World Tag League to ECW.
08) Death Match: Jon Moxley defeated Necro Butcher Referee: James Beard
* The ECW Ultraviolent Division was on display next as Jon Moxley faced Necro Butcher in a battle of death match icons. Fans have been clamoring for an Ultraviolent Championship, which Eddie Gilbert has taken under consideration, so these two men could easily contenders for it if the decision is made to create one. This was a Death Match classic, full of barbed wire boards, a door, tables, thumb tacks, and, of course, light tubes. Moxley bled as was expected but Necro was gushing blood after taking numerous weapons shots, including coming out on the losing end of a light tube standoff. It was a brutal display that saw Necro show great resiliency before Moxley planted him with Moxicity on some glass shards for the pin.
09) Tommy Rich & Bill Dundee defeated Eddie Gilbert & Larry Sweeney Referee: Joey Marella
* After what happened to their friend and mentor Jackie Fargo earlier, âWildfireâ Tommy Rich & âSuperstarâ Bill Dundee were both âfired upâ as they hit the ring to take on âHot Stuffâ Eddie Gilbert & âSweet nâ Sourâ Larry Sweeney of Hot Stuff International. This was far from a wrestling match as it more resembled a demolition job. Gilbert and Sweeney were overmatched throughout the bout likely due to the rage of Rich and Dundee. Gilbert managed to escape but Sweeney was isolated and pinned after Rich drilled him with a Piledriver.
An angry Gilbert was back post-match and overturned the decision claiming that the piledriver is illegal in Memphis. It is a fact that the dangerous move is barred in Memphis but as Todd Keneley astutely pointed out that is under LOW rules and not ECW rules. Gilbert told Keneley to âshut up!â which led to referee Joey Marella getting involved. Marella explained to Gilbert that the match was under ECW rules and therefore Rich and Dundee were the winners. Gilbert was piping hot and threatened to have Marella fired before storming off to the back with Sweeney.
10) LOW World Heavyweight Title: Harley Race© defeated Sabu (with Bill Alfonso) to retain the title Referee: Dick Woehrle
* Newly crowned 49th LOW World Heavyweight Champion Harley Race put the gold on the line against Sabu, managed by Bill Alfonso. This match also marked the LOW debut of a renowned announcer, one Jim Ross out of Oklahoma. Ross has been hired by LOW to tour the territories and announce main event matches for the LOW Home Video division and Social Media outlets. He is also expected to join the announcing team on LOW All-Star Wrestling so Ross will have a full plate as an important new representative of Legends Of Wrestling.
As for the match, Race showed just why he is a three-time world heavyweight champion by grounding Sabu to prevent him from delivering his explosive aerial attack. Race picked up a few near falls, including twice using the Vertical Suplex that has led him to many a victory. Ross referred to Sabu after one kick out saying, âHeâs tougher than a $2 steak!â Sabu made a nice turnaround and twice trapped Race in the Camel Clutch but the champion refused to tap out. Things were looking to be in Sabuâs favor until he missed with the Triple Jump Moonsault. Race followed with a blistering attack and went for the pin but Alfonso interfered. Unfortunately for Sabu, that interference attempt backfire and Race rolled Sabu up to score the pin.
It was a successful version one title defense for Race who was praised by Ross as being an exemplary champion. Sabu took the loss poorly and, in a rage, he dove over the top rope crashing through a table. He then proceeded to rip the table apart as Alfonso pleaded with him to leave ringside. Ross called it the âdarndest thing I ever sawâ and closed out the broadcast saying he hopes to see everyone very soon as he travels around LOW to call the action.
Injury Report:
* Jackie Fargo suffered heart trauma courtesy of a double Heart Punch attack by Ox Baker. He was carried out of the ring on a stretcher and was rushed to a local hospital. Early reports indicate that he will be out of action indefinitely but that fortunately the injury will not prevent him from returning to the ring. Baker was proud of his accomplishment as was ECW owner Eddie Gilbert who said that anyone that tries to undermine him will suffer a similar fate.

Thanks for the comment TTX. For this next show we travel over to the UK for another round of World of Sport action, I hope that you enjoy it...
Card #1433 - Resorts World Arena - Birmingham, England - World of Sport
Seconds away, Round OneâŠ
01) Super Smash Brothers defeated Biff Busick & Martin Stone
* The opening tag team bout saw the Super Smash Brothers, Player Uno & Player Dos, face Biff Busick & Martin Stone. The SSB duo used their teamwork and some trickery to constantly frustrate Busick and Stone. This went on for the majority of the match leading to Busick and Stone protesting to referee Bryce Remsburg. The esteemed official was having none of it and the match continued. The finishing sequence saw Uno have Stone pinned after Game Genie but Busick ran in. His pin save attempt backfired, though, and Uno followed planting Stone with the Dig Dug Driver for the pin.
02) Benjamin Carter (Isle of Jersey) vs. Mark Andrews (Cardiff) was a Draw (1-1)
Round One: Carter by Pinfall â Frozen In Time Round Five: Andrews by Pinfall â Shooting Star Press
* An excellent six-round bout between two popular stars featured Benjamin Carter against Mark Andrews, one-half of Subculture. Carter struck quickly and made an opening round statement pinning Andrews with Frozen In Time. Andrews regrouped, however, and the next few rounds were fought at a blistering pace. It was in the fifth round that Andrews tied it up when he nailed his trademark Shooting Star Press for the pin. The sixth and final round matched that same torrid pace but neither man could gain a fall resulting in a draw decision.
03) Jody Fleisch (East London) defeated Michael Oku (London) (2-0)
Round Three: Fleisch by Pinfall - Phoenixplex Round Four: Fleisch by Pinfall â Shooting Star Press to Outside
* Highly touted new WOS arrival Michael Oku, coming out of Old Street, London, UK, faced tough veteran Jody Fleisch who hails from East London. Fleisch tore it up in the opening round, nearly pinning Oku with the 720 DDT. Oku showed great resilience kicking out of that and did a nice job battling into the third round. Things kicked in for Fleisch there as he went up one to nil scoring the pin with a Phoenixplex. Oku tried to rally in the fourth round but Fleisch caught him with a Shooting Star Press to the outside and rolled him back in for the three count. It was a tough loss for Oku in his debut but he did impress against his veteran opponent who shook his hand in a classy post-match gesture.
04) Tyler Bate (Dudley) vs. Tommy Gilbert (USA) was a Draw (0-0)
* Referee Bryce Remsburg did an outstanding job of officiating this match between Dudley, England, native Tyler Bate and veteran star Tommy Gilbert representing Lexington, TN, in the USA. Gilbert has been livid ever since being banished from ECW and sent over to World of Sport. This night may have seen a change in attitude, however, as he adopted to the rounds style and battled the younger Bate hold for hold. This was a classic and with neither man unable to gain a fall it went six rounds to a time limit draw. There were no post-match handshakes but Remsburg raised the arms of both men simultaneously drawing cheers from the crowd.
05) Great Gama (India) defeated David Taylor (Queensbury) (2-0)
Round Four: Gama by Pinfall â Gama Throw Round Six: Gama by Pinfall â Gut Wrench Throw
* The first of two major acquisitions for WOS made his debut as the Great Gama, now formerly of Golden Age Wrestling, faced the technically sound David Taylor. Gama really showed off his skills and toughness dominating much of the action, but Taylor also showed his resilience continually avoiding defeat. Gama went up one to nil in the fourth round with the Gama Throw. Taylor rebounded with a strong fifth round but was unable to score the equalizer. With little time left, Gama made it a 2-0 overall victory as he pinned Taylor with a Gut Wrench Throw late in the sixth round.
06) Trent Seven (Wolverhampton) defeated Stanislaus Zbyszko (Poland) (2-0)
Round Two: Seven by Pinfall â Seven Stars Lariat Round Three: Seven by Pinfall â Seven Stars Lariat
* While the Great Gama had a successful WOS debut, the same could not be said for Jodlowa, Poland, native Stanislaus Zbyszko who ran into one-half of Moustache Mountain in Trent Seven. Zbyszko came into WOS with much deserved fanfare and was completely dominant in the opening round. That is until the final moments when a corner collision led to Seven hitting the Seven Stars Lariat for a two count. That potent clothesline would prove to be the downfall of Zbyszko as Seven hit the move four more times in the second and third rounds scoring falls in both. Seven won it 2-0 in shocking fashion and Zbyszko, while upset with his performance, shook hands with Seven after a tough debut loss.
07) WALTER (Austria) defeated Fit Finlay (Northern Ireland) (2-0)
Round Three: WALTER by Submission â Gojira Clutch Round Five: WALTER by Pinfall â Big Boot
* Two of the toughest men in all of LOW squared off as Fit Finlay out of Belfast, Northern Ireland, took on WALTER from Vienna, Austria. Stiff blow after stiff blow highlighted this one which saw WALTER take a one to nil lead in the third round when he trapped Finlay in the Gojira Clutch for a submission. Finlay snapped back quickly from that setback and took it to WALTER in the fourth round, including dropping him with a wicked European uppercut. The brutal bout came to an end in the fifth round when, after an outside the ring brawl, WALTER hit a Big Boot to score the pin.
08) Exotic Adrian Street (Royal Forest of Dean) vs. Chris Brookes (Tipton, West Midlands) was a Draw (0-0)
* The popular Exotic Adrian Street, one of the more highly decorated wrestlers in WOS, faced the vile Chris Brookes who has been a thorn in the side of WOS Ambassador Henry Irslinger. Brookes was looking to pick up a huge win here but the veteran Street was prepared for him. Street dominated most of the round action and could have easily been called the winner if a points scoring system was in use. Brookes showed what he was made of as well, evading Streetâs finisher and even getting a rope break late when he was trapped in The Daffodil. If Street played a perfect offensive game, you could say that Brookes played a perfect defensive game as this match ended up in a six round draw with no falls scored.
09) Bulldog Dynasty defeated Chris Hero & The North
* Traditional tag team rules applied for this trios match pitting the Bulldog Dynasty team of Dynamite Kid, Davey Boy Smith & Davey Boy Smith Jr. against Chris Hero & The North, âAll Egoâ Ethan Page & âWalking Weaponâ Josh Alexander. This match had a little bit of everything, including a ref bump and the Bulldogs twice hitting Tower of London only to have Hero and The North prevent a pin. The Bulldogs would kick it into high gear late and, with Dynamite and Davey Boy taking out Hero and Alexander, it was down to Davey Boy Smith Jr. against Page. It was Smith Jr. winning out and delivering a Superplex on Page for the pin.
10) LOW Junior Heavyweight Title: Juventud Guerrera© (Mexico) defeated Johnny Saint (Failsworth, Greater Manchester) to retain the title
* The main event saw the 57th LOW Junior Heavyweight Champion Juventud Guerrera defend the title against two-time former champion Johnny Saint. Referee Bryce Remsburg was on the call as announcer Jim Ross, representing LOW Home Video and Social Media, watched intently from ringside. This was a great bout with Guerrera using his speed and aerial skills to combat the technically proficient Saint. Ross excitedly called the action which saw Guerrera survive both the Johnny Saint Special and The Russ Abbot. Saint also kicked out after taking the 450 Splash drawing an excited near fall call by Ross. The finishing sequence saw Saint in control but he made a rare mistake by going for a deathjump. That was countered by Guerrera who then came off the top with a second 450 Splash for the pin. It was a successful version two title defense for Guerrera against the challenge of a determined former champion.

Thanks again for the comments TTX, it is appreciated. Up next is a big night of CWA action from Madison Square Garden so let's head to the ring...
Card #1434 - Madison Square Garden - New York, NY - Capitol Wrestling Alliance
01) The Great Malenko defeated Frogman LeBlanc Referee: Dick Woehrle
* Making his LOW debut, The Great Malenko out of Moscow, Russia, squared off with Frogman LeBlanc of LOW All-Star Wrestling. LeBlanc made a pretty good accounting of himself but fell in the end to a ruthless Malenko. The finish saw Malenko trap LeBlanc in the Russian Sickle, his version of a camel clutch, for a submission victory.
02) Charlie Haas defeated Jim Brunzell Referee: Joey Marella
* Two tag team specialists faced off as Jim Brunzell of the Killer Bees took on Charlie Haas of Team Angle. Brunzell got off to a strong start but was unable to put Haas away. Haas twice went to the Haas of Pain but Brunzell got to the ropes for a break. After a late momentum turn, Haas got the Haas of Pain on for a third time and that resulted in a submission victory for the Team Angle member.
03) Deonna Purrazzo, Miranda Gordy & Heather Monroe defeated Penny Banner, Rockin Robin & Jetta Referee: Dick Woehrle
* The stars of Empress Ring took center stage next for a trios match as Penny Banner, Rockin Robin & Jetta went up against Deonna Purrazzo, Miranda Gordy & âThe Killer Baeâ Heather Monroe. By all rights this one should have gone to Bannerâs team as they had the momentum most of the way. They got the heat on Gordy for an extended stretch but she managed to escape defeat, even after a trademark Sunset Flip by Banner. The momentum switched after Robin missed a corner charge and Purrazzo took advantage trapping her in the Fujiwara Arm Bar for a submission victory.
04) Blackjack Mulligan defeated Shelton Benjamin Referee: James Beard
* Veteran star Blackjack Mulligan took on Shelton Benjamin of Team Angle in singles action. Mulligan dominated early, including locking on the Blackjack Claw for a submission chance. Benjamin stormed back with his athleticism coming to the forefront. He twice hit Paydirt on the larger Mulligan but he kicked out before the three count. Benjamin had the match under control late when Mulligan bailed out luring him to the floor. That was a huge mistake as Mulligan got the better of Benjamin outside and back inside he locked on a second Blackjack Claw for a submission victory.
05) Chris Masters (with The Grand Wizard) defeated Ken Shamrock Referee: Dick Woehrle
* Controversy encompassed this match between Ken Shamrock and âThe Masterpieceâ Chris Masters. With Masters and his manager, The Grand Wizard, waiting in the ring, ring announcer Gary Michael Cappetta announced Ken Shamrock but he didnât come out. Masters and The Wizard demanded a forfeit win and were almost granted it when Shamrock was able to come out but he appeared already beaten and battered.
It was a strange situation and Masters took full advantage jumping Shamrock as he entered the ring. The bell sounded and within moments Shamrock was trapped in the Masterlock but he refused to concede. Finally, the referee ended it and gave Masters the win by submission drawing jeers from the crowd. The mystery of what happened to Shamrock went unanswered but PWI Editor Bill Apter vowed to get to the bottom of it on the next edition of LOW All-Star Wrestling.
06) Kurt Angle defeated Mike Rotunda Referee: Joey Marella
* A battle of great technicians was featured next as Syracuse University standout Mike Rotunda faced Kurt Angle, a gold medal winner in the 1996 Olympic Games. There were some great exchanges between the two in the feeling out stages of the match. Rotunda made some nice counters before a German suplex by Angle turned the tide. Angle went to work and, in a stunning display, hit a third straight Olympic Slam on Rotunda for the pin. It was a pivotal win for Angle who aspires to challenge for individual championship gold in LOW.
07) Roddy Piper & Cowboy Bob Orton Jr. defeated Big Van Vader & Hacksaw Jim Duggan Referee: Dick Woehrle
* A highly anticipated grudge tag team rematch saw Big Van Vader & Hacksaw Jim Duggan take on âRowdyâ Roddy Piper & âThe Aceâ Cowboy Bob Orton Jr. This was chaos from the start with Piper doing his level best to avoid contact with Vader. The action got really heated when Piper twice trapped Duggan in the Sleeper with Vader refusing to save his partner. Instead, it was Duggan getting to the ropes for a break. As the match progressed, it appeared that Piper avoiding Vader was by design as the actions of the big man seemed to imply a business deal of some sort. Duggan wound up being busted open and made easy pray for the opposition. He battled back, drawing in the support of the crowd, but the blood loss was too much and after a reversal it was Orton executing a Delayed Vertical Suplex for the pin.
Piper and Orton quickly left ringside with their victory in the bag as an incensed Vader stalked the fallen and bloody Duggan. The crowd jeered as Vader pulled him up and threatened to deliver a Released Power Bomb. Just as he hoisted Duggan up, Vader was jumped from behind by none other than âMr. Wonderfulâ Paul Orndorff! News broke out leading up to the show that Orndorff had signed with LOW and was CWA bound. That was proven here as Orndorff pounded away on Vader driving him out of the ring. The crowd cheered the debut of Orndorff who assisted Duggan back to his feet and helped him to the back.
08) Tony Garea & Larry Zbyszko vs. Valiant Brothers (with The Grand Wizard) was a Draw Referee: Joey Marella
* The popular team of Tony Garea & Larry Zbyszko faced their newfound rivals the Valiant Brothers, âHandsomeâ Jimmy Valiant & âLusciousâ Johnny Valiant, in tag team action. The Valiant Brothers, managed by The Grand Wizard, were livid as they learned earlier that Team Angle members Shelton Benjamin & Charlie Haas were selected by the CWA to compete in the upcoming Real World Tag League tournament. Garea and Zbyszko were likewise upset but chose to focus on the match at hand. It was a wise move as they dominated most of the early going, really frustrating the Valiant Brothers and their manager. The Grand Wizard even got involved providing a distraction when Garea had Jimmy pinned after the Facelock-Sunset Flip combo.
The pace of the match really picked up and twice the Valiant Brothers thought they had it with the Double Clothesline but were unable to secure the pin. That built up more frustration for the two as they had a real problem putting Garea and Zbyszko away. That problem also afflicted Garea and Zbyszko as the Valiantâs kept avoiding defeat. The end result was a time limit draw between the two teams, the second one they have had against each other. There is no doubt that there will be rematches for what looks to be a great tag team rivalry.
09) Greg Valentine (with J.J. Dillon) defeated Barry Windham by Count Out Referee: Dick Woehrle
* Barry Windham hit the ring with vengeance on his mind hoping to finally put the New Age Horsemen in the rear view mirror as he took on Greg âThe Hammerâ Valentine. With Horsemen manager J.J. Dillon at ringside, Windham had the odds stacked against him but he refused to let that distract him. Instead, a focused Windham dominated the action and had Valentine on the run. Dillon twice attempted distractions to save Valentine from defeat. Ultimately he called for help as Curt Hennig, Tully Blanchard and C.W. Anderson ran down after Windham hit the Lariat on Valentine. That led to a frustrating defeat for Windham who was counted out as he went after Dillon and the interfering Horsemen.
10) LOW World Tag Team Titles: Road Warriors© (with Paul Ellering) defeated Powers of Pain (with Captain Lou Albano) by DQ (Chair Shot) to retain the titles Referee: Morgan Dollar
* Record ten-time 42nd LOW World Tag Team Champions the Road Warriors, Animal & Hawk, found familiar foes in their first title defense in the Powers of Pain, The Warlord & The Barbarian. With respective managers âPreciousâ Paul Ellering and Captain Lou Albano at ringside, things promised to get hectic for LOW Senior Referee Morgan Dollar. Jim Ross of the LOW Home Video & Social Media Division was on hand to announce the contest, one that he said could be a âhistory in the making type of matchâ implying that the titles could change hands. It wasnât a bad proclamation as the Powers of Pain have been a big thorn in the sides of Hawk and Animal since arriving in LOW a little more than a year ago.
This was a great battle with power move after power move being exchanged by all four men. Albano paced around ringside mumbling to himself whenever it looked like the Road Warriors would win it. The Powers of Pain, though, had different plans and were able to stave off defeat even after The Barbarian was hit with the Doomsday Device. Things broke down late when The Warlord took it to the outside. During a battle on the floor, he picked up a chair and smashed Animal with it several times. Dollar caught that and immediately called for the bell. Abano was not happy as the Road Warriors won it by disqualification giving them a successful version one title defense.

Card #1435 - Charlotte Park Center - Charlotte, NC - Atlantic Coast Wrestling
01) Nikita Koloff (with Ivan Koloff) defeated S.D. Jones Referee: Dick Woehrle
* The opening match featured the highly anticipated LOW debut of the âRussian Nightmareâ Nikita Koloff, a prodigy from Moscow, Russia, and the nephew of the âRussian Bearâ Ivan Koloff. A proud âUncle Ivanâ brought his nephew to ACW and watched on as he faced the popular S.D. Jones of LOW All-Star Wrestling. Jones may not have the best won-loss record but his thirty-four career wins lead the rest of the ASW roster. He gave Koloff a good fight, including scoring a two count with a Head Butt. Koloff took the best that Jones could give him and dealt it back. The finish saw him overpower Jones before nailing him with the Russian Sickle for the pin.
02) Mike Graham & Don Curtis defeated QT Marshall & Jonnie Stewart (with R.D. Evans) Referee: Joey Marella
* Fans in ACW have been clamoring for Mike Graham & Don Curtis to team up more and so they signed to face âGodâs Giftâ QT Marshall & âIllustriousâ Jonnie Stewart, a new tag team managed by the loudmouthed R.D. Evans. This was a good bout that saw Graham and Curtis show off great teamwork much to the frustration of Evans and his men. A quick finishing sequence saw Curtis with a hit out of the corner before locking the Sleeper on Marshall for a submission win.
03) Ted Dibiase defeated Kerry Morton Referee: James Beard
* Kerry Morton, who recently made his ACW debut, was thrown right into the fire taking on Ted Dibiase. Mortonâs father, Ricky Morton of the Rock nâ Roll Express, accompanied him to ringside to offer prematch advice but left so as not to be a distraction. Morton made a good accounting of himself but the veteran Dibiase proved too much to handle. Dibiase took the lead late and nailed Morton with a Fist Drop to score the pin.
04) Sgt. Slaughter & Don Kernodle defeated Les Thatcher & Ranger Ross Referee: Joey Marella
* Having been informed earlier of their invitation to participate in Real World Tag League, Sgt. Slaughter & Don Kernodle were fully confident as they squared off against Les Thatcher & Ranger Ross. So confident, in fact, that Slaughter took the time to berate the military status of Ross during the ring introductions. Ross wasnât phased and he and Thatcher went on to give Slaughter and Kernodle many scary moments, resulting in two big near falls. Slaughter and Kernodle had to dig down deep into their bag of tricks to pull this one out. That came when, with Thatcher down, they took out Ross with the Atomic Bomb with Slaughter scoring the pin.
05) AJ Styles defeated Diamond Dallas Page Referee: James Beard
* Two of the top names in ACW squared off as âThe Phenomenalâ AJ Styles met Diamond Dallas Page, the head of Feel The Bang Enterprises. Styles was on fire early and nearly got DDP to tap out when he trapped him in the Calf Killer. It was a terrific start for the three-time LOW World Heavyweight Champion but DDP found a way back into it. He neutralized the speed advantage of Styles and kept on top of him with a solid offensive. Things were looking bleak for Styles until DDP made a fatal mistake. He went for a charge into the corner but Styles alertly flipped over him and executed a picture perfect Counter Roll-Up for the pin. DDP claimed a fast count but Styles prevailed earning a hard fought victory.
06) Empress Ring Tag Team Titles: Candi Divine & Susan Green© defeated Cora & Debbie Combs to retain the titles Referee: Dick Woehrle
* The 6th Empress Ring Tag Team Champions Candi Divine & Susan Green put the gold on the line against the mother and daughter team of Cora & Debbie Combs. This match came about in an interesting way via social media where Cora, who recently joined LOW along with Debbie, issued a playful challenge saying that they could be the next champions. It led to Divine responding that she and Green take all challenges seriously and even if the Combs family isnât necessarily ranked as of yet they accepted. Cora almost turned it down due to their ranking being in question but Debbie chimed in that this could be a statement making match and so it was on.
The defending champions were in fine form working quick tags and keeping each other fresh. That came at the expense of Cora as they got the heat on her for a good stretch. When Debbie finally got the tag she helped reverse the momentum and nearly pinned Green with a counter roll-up after a missed corner charge. It was on from there and turned into a really good back-and-forth match between the champions and challengers. The finish came when Divine surprised Cora with a Cross Body Block for the pin. It was a successful version two title defense for Divine and Green who accepted hand shakes from Cora and Debbie to cheers from an appreciative crowd.
07) Rick Rude (with Percy Pringle III) defeated Austin Idol by Count Out Referee: Joey Marella
* The heat was off the charts for this grudge match between the âUniversal Heartthrobâ Austin Idol and âRavishingâ Rick Rude. The two started trading blows during the ring introductions forcing Rudeâs manager Percy Pringle III to scramble for safety. Idol was like a man possessed going after Rude and wound up trapping him in the Las Vegas Leglock four times. Rude twice got to the ropes for a break, had Pringle cause a distraction for an escape, and then was saved by a run-in from Thunderbolt Patterson. Looking to potentially impress Rude and Pringle, Patterson laid out Idol setting up a big near fall. A wild finish saw Idol chasing after Pringle on the outside resulting in a battered Rude scoring a count out victory. Idol was incensed and went after Rude but he escaped along with Pringle before contact could be made.
08) Andre the Giant defeated Mr. Hughes Referee: Dick Woehrle
* A battle of the big men saw Andre the Giant make his way to ACW to face Mr. Hughes, a formidable member of Feel The Bang Enterprises run by Diamond Dallas Page. DDP accompanied Hughes to ringside but the referee wouldnât allow him to stay leaving Hughes to fend for himself. That didnât seem to phase Hughes who went after Andre with a strong attack. Hughes impressed, even attempting a power bomb at one point, but like most had a hard time dealing with the massive size advantage of his opponent. Andre bounced back and, after a jarring collision off the ropes, he recovered first and delivered the Big Splash on Hughes for the pin.
09) Midnight Express (with Jim Cornette & Josh Briggs) defeated Jack & Jerry Brisco Referee: Joey Marella
* There were high stakes in this battle of recent LOW World Tag Team Champions as Jack & Jerry Brisco faced Jim Cornetteâs Midnight Express duo of âLoverboyâ Dennis Condrey & âSweetâ Stan Lane. With Bobby Eaton busy defending the LOW Tex-Arkana Television Title, Cornette, who was protected by his bodyguard Josh Briggs, had to go with Condrey and Lane as his team. LOW Commissioner Teddy Long made a special appearance prior to the ring introductions to make a big announcement: the winning team would claim the final spot in Real World Tag League being presented by Kings Road United. Cornette argued that his men should get the spot as former RWTL winners but Long countered that the Midnight Express were defeated for their tag team championship by Jack & Jerry Brisco earlier this year. Cornette was livid but had to accept the decision of Long and the LOW Board of Directors.
This was an outstanding tag team match, consistent with what both of these teams can bring to the table. The Express got the heat on Jerry for an extended stretch even busting him open. That left Jerry in a bad way but fortunately he was able to make a tag. Jack fared better and his offensive attacks allowed Jerry to tag back in and contribute. However, the blood loss by Jerry would play a big role in the end as Lane took advantage of his weakened state hitting a Double-Arm Suplex for the pin. Cornette was ecstatic as his men will head back to Japan with the possibility of becoming the first two-time winners of RWTL.
10) LOW International Heavyweight Title: Fred Blassie© defeated Magnum T.A. to retain the title Referee: Morgan Dollar
* The main event saw the popular Magnum T.A. challenge the âKing of Menâ Fred Blassie for the LOW International Heavyweight title. Blassie intimidated LOW senior referee Morgan Dollar during the ring introductions, even threatening to bite him with his filed vampire-like teeth but Magnum T.A. came to the defense of the official. Announcer Jim Ross, on hand to call the action for LOW Home Video and Social Media, verbally took Blassie to task for going after Dollar.
The stage was set for a bitter battle which, at one point, Ross referred to as being âbowling shoe ugly.â The action was intense throughout with Blassie twice hitting the Southern Neckbreaker but Magnum kicked out. Blassie argued with Dollar about slow counts but the official didnât back down this time. Magnum made a strong comeback but was unable to execute his finisher, the Belly to Belly Suplex. Blassie went to biting and Magnum was turned a bloody mess drawing shrieks from the female fans. It was now or never for Magnum and he made another comeback but Blassie subdued him with a stomach claw before hitting a third Southern Neckbreaker for the pin. It was a successful version one title defense for Blassie who soaked in jeers from the crowd.

Card #1436 - State Fair Coliseum - Indianapolis, IN - Golden Age Wrestling
01) Martin Burns defeated Tom Stone Referee: Dick Woehrle
* The highly anticipated LOW debut of Martin âFarmerâ Burns with Golden Age Wrestling saw him opposed by Tom âRockyâ Stone of LOW All-Star Wrestling. Blink and you missed it would best describe this match. Burns got on top early and quickly caught a beleaguered Stone with the Iowa Backdrop for the pin.
02) Roy Heffernan (with Wild Red Berry) defeated Fritz Von Goering Referee: James Beard
* Roy Heffernan of the Fabulous Kangaroos, accompanied by manager Wild Red Berry, faced Fritz Von Goering in a match of international measure, Australia versus Germany. This was a good bout with both men having chances to win. Von Goering impressively survived the Stepover Toehold several times, coming back to hit the Backbreaker for a two count. After some tense back-and-forth action, Heffernan surprised Von Goering with a deathjump attack and then locked on the Stepover Toehold again this time resulting in a submission victory.
03) Danny Hodge defeated Rod Fenton by DQ Referee: Joey Marella
* Danny Hodge, now back from injury, had been looking for a match with Gorgeous George but the âHuman Orchidâ backed out and âLightningâ Rod Fenton signed the contract instead. Hodge was furious and became even more angered when George, wearing a purple sequined suit, showed up at ringside during the introductions. That led to a distraction with Fenton crashing a chair over the back of Hodge. The surprise attack should have been an advantage for Fenton but once the bell sounded he used Illegal Tactics resulting in a quick disqualification. George joined Fenton in a post-match attack but the two quickly fled when Hodge got his hands on a chair.
PWI Editor Bill Apter caught up with Hodge in the locker room and the normally cool demeanor of the junior heavyweight star had turned to anger. Apter informed Hodge that he just got off the phone with LOW Commissioner Teddy Long and that Hodge will get his wish. It will be Hodge versus Gorgeous George on Episode 104 of LOW All-Star Wrestling. Hodge seemed relieved and told George to get his working boots on when they meet in a televised match.
04) Ilio DiPaolo defeated The Sheik (with Abdullah Farouk) by DQ Referee: Dick Woehrle
* Abruzzi, Italy, native Ilio DiPaolo by way of Buffalo, NY, was in for a fight as he faced The Sheik, who was accompanied by his manager Abdullah Farouk. DiPaolo did not back down from his feared opponent, fighting him both in and out of the ring. The Sheik also had no problem taking it to the floor doing so several times during the match. It was no surprise that a second straight technical decision resulted when The Sheik was disqualified for slamming DiPaolo on top of the timekeeperâs table. DiPaolo got the win but it was a painful one being in there with the deranged Sheik.
05) LOW Tex-Arkana Television Title: Al Costello (with Wild Red Berry) defeated Bobby Eaton (with Jim Cornette) to win the title Referee: Joey Marella
* The LOW Tex-Arkana Television Title was on the line as defending champion âBeautifulâ Bobby Eaton, accompanied by his manager Jim Cornette, faced the challenge of the Fabulous Kangaroosâ Al Costello, accompanied by his manager Wild Red Berry. The two tag team specialists are also well versed in singles wrestling as was displayed here. Cornette was at his annoying best arguing with ringsiders and also providing timely interference to save or help Eaton. Costello survived the Alabama Jam and came back with the Australian Backdrop for a big near fall.
Cornette was in heart attack mode as Eaton attempted to survive the challenge. In the end, another attempt at interference by Cornette and his tennis racquet was countered by Berry who used the boomerang to trip him off the apron. Costello took full advantage of that and hit another Australian Backdrop for the pin. The crowd erupted in cheers as Costello became the 46th holder of the LOW Tex-Arkana Television title. Berry and Roy Heffernan joined Costello in celebration as Cornette and a fatigued Eaton left the ringside area.
06) Vivian Vachon defeated Kiera Hogan Referee: James Beard
* The first of two Empress Ring matches on the card saw Kiera Hogan, one-half of Fire âN Flava alongside Tasha Steelz, face Vivian Vachon out of Masonville, Quebec, Canada. Vachon recently made her LOW debut and comes in with a great family heritage that includes Mad Dog, Butcher and Luna Vachon. Hogan was perhaps the underdog here but she held her own taking Vachon to the limit. Vachon, however, was up to the task and took the lead late before delivering her trademark Vertical Suplex for the pin.
07) Nick Bockwinkel & Buddy Rogers (with Bobby Heenan) defeated The Crusher & Baron Von Raschke by DQ Referee: James Beard
* The first of two Heenan Family tag team matches saw Bobby âThe Brainâ Heenan lead Nick Bockwinkel & âNature Boyâ Buddy Rogers, who were LOW World Tag Team Champions in the inaugural year of the company, into battle against the popular duo of The Crusher & Baron Von Raschke. Bockwinkel and Rogers showed the skill and teamwork that helped them reach such lofty heights as a team in that inaugural year. It was looking god for them until The Crusher caught Rogers in the Crusher Nelson and nearly scored a submission.
A frantic Heenan looked on as Von Raschke tagged in and locked on the Brain Claw. With Rogers succumbing to it, âThe Brainâ tossed in a pair of brass knuckles. The only problem was that The Baron intercepted them and clobbered Rogers with the weapon knocking him out. Heenanâs blunder actually paid off as the referee caught Von Raschke with the weapon and disqualified him giving Rogers and Bockwinkel a technical decision.
08) Empress Ring Title: Toni Rose© (with Fabulous Moolah) defeated Mandy Leon to retain the title Referee: Joey Marella
* Mandy Leon, one-half of former Empress Ring Tag Team Champions The Allure, made a bid for singles gold as she took on the 15th Empress Ring Champion Toni Rose. Accompanying Rose to ringside was her new manager, Fabulous Moolah, who has held gold in both divisions of Empress Ring. Rose jumped Leon during the ring introductions and it was on. After taking an initial beating, Leon struck back and picked up a couple of two counts on the champion. The intensity picked up and Rose came back twice with her Neckbreaker for near falls.
This built to an exciting and controversial finish as Leon delivered Astral Projection but Moolah rang the timekeepers bell before the three count confusing everyone. That set up Rose delivering the Neckbreaker two more times and scoring the pin on Leon. It was a successful version three title defense for Rose who is proving to be very effective with Moolah in her corner.
09) Antonino Rocca & Bobo Brazil defeated King Kong Bundy & Big John Studd (with Bobby Heenan) Referee: James Beard
* Exciting tag team action was featured in the semi-final as Antonino Rocca & Bobo Brazil faced the Heenan Family team of King Kong Bundy & Big John Studd. The rivalry between Rocca and Brazil and Bobby Hennanâs charges has been at the forefront of recent Golden Age Wrestling events. This battle was no exception and both teams came to win. Bundy and Studd are formidable for any opponents but Rocca, with his speed, and Brazil, with his size and power, proved to be a good challenge for them. Things broke down towards the end with Heenan once again getting involved on behalf of his charges but Brazil fought off the pesky manager. Three seconds later it was over as Brazil blasted Bundy with a Coco Butt for the pin as Rocca dropkicked Studd preventing a save.
10) LOW World Heavyweight Title: Lou Thesz defeated Harley Race to win the title Referee: Morgan Dollar
* Lou Thesz, a two-time LOW World Heavyweight Champion, made a bid to win gold again as he challenged 49th LOW World Heavyweight Champion Harley Race for the championship. Announcer Jim Ross, on hand to call the main event for LOW Home Video & Social Media, noted that Race could be in trouble early on as he butted heads with Morgan Dollar, the senior referee in LOW. Dollar did not take that lightly and he and Race got into it a few times during the match. Race is a professional, though, and he pushed on punishing Thesz throughout the match.
Thesz was on the defensive most of the way and Ross said it would be a âmiracleâ if he pulled it out. Well, miracles do happen as Thesz caught a second wind and, after a released power bomb (ch) he executed an Airplane Spin and covered Race for the pin. History was made in Indianapolis as Thesz ended a three-year world title drought by being crowned the 50th LOW World Heavyweight Champion. Ross called it an incredible comeback victory and he was honored to be on the call for such a history making match. Race, obviously dejected and still angry with Dollar, put that emotion aside and shook hands with Thesz as the crowd cheered.
