Hey cruefan68! You never know what kind of chaos is headed our way when we tune into ECW - And thats just how we like it. A.J. Styles retains The Heavyweight Strap and Jigsaw survives a war with The Sandman to gain a victory. Would love to see both of them corner Hot Stuff and put the fear of God into him lol. The upcoming card in Toronto looks absolutely sick. Bring it!

Thanks Bookerbill and Bri for your comments on the ECW card. Writing up the antics of Eddie Gilbert is something I look forward to as Eddie was great at stirring things up. His ECW is really running on all cylinders right now and things are only expected to get crazier. Mike Quackenbush certainly sent a message that his one-night contract may not stop him from returning so that rivalry is far from done. Coming up next is a big night of action from the CWA, I hope that you enjoy it...
LOW Capitol Wrestling Alliance - Maple Leaf Gardens - Toronto, Ontario, Canada (Card #1223)
Quick Results:
1) “The Punishment” Damien Martinez defeated Jim Powers (Pinfall – South of Heaven)
2) Tully Blanchard & “The Enforcer” CW Anderson (with J.J. Dillon) defeated The Fantastics (Bobby Fulton & Tommy Rogers) (CW Anderson pinned Bobby Fulton – Top Rope Clothesline)
3) “Jumping” Jim Brunzell defeated “Million $ Man” Ted Dibiase (with Virgil) (Pinfall – High Flying Dropkick)
4) Barry Windham defeated Curt Hennig (with J.J. Dillon) (Submission – Figure Four Leglock)
5) Ring Angels title: Leilani Kai© defeated Lacey to retain the title (Pinfall – Running Clothesline)
6) The Sheik & Dream Team (Brutus Beefcake & Greg Valentine, with Abdullah Farouk) defeated Rob Van Dam & Valiant Brothers (Jimmy & Johnny Valiant) (Greg Valentine over Rob Van Dam by submission – Figure Four Leglock)
7) LOW Tex-Arkana Television title: The Mountie© defeated Hacksaw Jim Duggan to retain the title (Pinfall – Short Choke Slam)
8) Andre the Giant & Big John Studd (with Bobby “The Brain” Heenan) defeated the Road Warriors (Animal & Hawk, with “Precious” Paul Ellering) by DQ
Match Highlights: A titanic main event and the continuation of a great rivalry saw the Road Warriors (Animal & Hawk) take on the colossal team of Andre the Giant & Big John Studd. It was also a battle of the managers with “Precious” Paul Ellering representing the Road Warriors and Bobby “The Brain” Heenan representing Andre and Studd. The Road Warriors did a great job of isolating Andre in the early going and were even able to overpower him giving Heenan several fits at ringside. Hawk managed to execute a gorilla press slam on the 450-pound giant although it was a partial lift due to the sheer size of Andre. Nevertheless, that image is likely to make highlight reels for years to come in LOW. A flying shoulder ram by Animal sent Andre out of the ring where the battle continued. With Hawk and Studd joining them on the outside, the ringside area was not safe for anyone including the two managers.
Heenan got involved trying to hand Andre a chair but Hawk grabbed it away from him sending the “weasel” scurrying down the ramp of the Maple Leaf Gardens. Hawk unloaded on Andre with the weapon which proved to be a big mistake as the referee called for the bell. It was a snake eyes disqualification victory for Andre and Studd albeit a very painful one. It wasn’t finished there, though, as Animal sent Studd over the ring barrier before joining Hawk in the ring where they nailed Andre with a double flying shoulder tackle causing him to fall backward and become tied up in the ropes, Hawk, Animal and even Ellering got involved taking turns punching the tied up Andre to the delight of the crowd. Heenan managed to corral Studd and they were able to free Andre from the ropes with him rolling out onto the ramp to get away from the three-on-one attack. Andre was furious and grabbed the mic bellowing out threats in his thick French accent saying that the war is not finished and that he and Studd would see the Road Warriors again.
Former LOW Tex-Arkana Television champion Hacksaw Jim Duggan was looking to win the gold again as he took on The Mountie for the championship. The Mountie, a regular in Pacific Coast Wrestling where he is managed by Sherri Martel as part of Sherri Sports Agency, Inc., came to the ring solo which could have been a big mistake. The popular Duggan took the fight to The Mountie and had him in trouble often hitting moves like the piledriver and Tough Guy clothesline. The Mountie bailed out of the ring several times and managed to regroup including twice hitting the Short Choke Slam for near falls. Duggan rallied back and delivered a spinning body slam which resulted in a two count. The Mountie was in trouble again late but he managed to survive and deliver a third Short Choke Slam of the match to score the pin. It was a successful version eight defense of the title for The Mountie and a very impressive one as he turned back the strong challenge of a former champion.
A big upset took place as “Jumping” Jim Brunzell, one-half of the Killer Bees along with Brian Blair, defeated top contender the “Million $ Man” Ted Dibiase in a highly competitive bout. Dibiase, who was accompanied to ringside by his bodyguard Virgil, has been considered for a shot at LOW World Heavyweight champion AJ Styles so losing this match was a big blow to the “Million $ Man”. Brunzell matched Dibiase hold-for-hold and twice had him pinned after the High Flying Dropkick but Virgil distracted the referee preventing a pin. Dibiase locked on the Cobra Clutch but Brunzell managed to escape and nearly pinned him with a flying head scissors into a cradle hold. Dibiase battled back scoring near falls with the vertical suplex and backward elbow off the ropes. Brunzell, showing great resilience, caught Dibiase with a third High Flying Dropkick and this time scored the pin drawing a huge pop from the crowd. Dibiase was livid over the loss and even shoved Virgil as Brunzell celebrated with the fans at ringside. There is no telling how Dibiase will handle this defeat but for Brunzell it was a huge feather in his cap beating the “Million $ Man”.
In other action…
A big trios grudge match saw the “Whole F’N Show” Rob Van Dam team up with the Valiant Brothers (“Handsome” Jimmy Valiant & “Luscious” Johnny Valiant) to take on the Abdullah Farouk-managed forces of The Sheik and the Dream Team (Brutus “The Barber” Beefcake & Greg “The Hammer” Valentine). The brewing rivalry between RVD and The Sheik was on full display here as the two went at it with reckless abandon. The Sheik was on the defensive for a long stretch at the outset being worked over by RVD and the Valiant Brothers. The Dream Team got involved with Beefcake nearly pinning RVD after a counter elbowdrop and pin reversal by Valentine. RVD later survived the Camel Clutch of The Sheik and made a hot tag to “Handsome” Jimmy who lit up Maple Leaf Gardens with his unique brand of offense. The Valiant Brothers combined for the Super Elbow on Beefcake but he managed to kick out just before the three count. Controversy ensued with The Sheik using both a chair and a tire iron on the knees of RVD as he attacked him outside the ring. The referee missed that and that set up Valentine trapping RVD in the Figure Four Leglock for a submission victory much to the delight of Farouk.
Coming off her huge championship win over Sherri Martel in Greensboro, NC (Card #1214), Leilani Kai put the Ring Angels title on the line for the first time against the determined challenge of Lacey. A part of the Minnesota Home Wrecking Crew with Rain, Lacey shared something in common with Kai who has also been a successful tag team wrestler teaming up with Judy Martin as the Glamour Girls. Lacey looked good early including scoring a two count on Kai with a Lung Blower. A missed deathjump attack by Lacey saw Kai cradle her for a near fall. The battle continued at a strong pace before Kai delivered a big boot followed by a Running Clothesline on Lacey to score the pin. It was a successful version one title defense for Kai who hopes to settle in for a long run as the champion.
The undefeated Barry Windham out of Sweetwater, TX, faced perhaps his toughest test to date in the CWA as he took on Curt Hennig, a prominent member of the New Age Horsemen who was accompanied to ringside by manager J.J. Dillon. The action in this one was incredible as the two talented stars squared off. Hennig hit a nice sequence delivering The Axe followed by a running knee lift for a two count. Windham struck back and applied the figure four leglock for a submission chance but Dillon managed to push the bottom rope toward Hennig allowing him to grab it for a break. A great finishing sequence saw Hennig going for a deathjump attack but he was picked off the top rope by Windham. That led to Windham applying the Figure Four Leglock again but this time in center ring preventing Dillon from interfering. Dillon urged Hennig to hold on or reverse out of it but Windham cinched the hold on causing him to concede. Windham won it via submission and Hennig, obviously upset, stared him down from the corner post-match. It was a brilliant victory for Windham but one has to wonder if he is now on the radar of the New Age Horsemen?
The New Age Horsemen combination of Tully Blanchard & CW Anderson posted an impressive win over The Fantastics (Bobby Fulton & Tommy Rogers). With their manager J.J. Dillon at ringside, the Horsemen did a great job of neutralizing the tag team brilliance often displayed by The Fantastics. The latter stages of a strong bout saw Blanchard level Fulton with a piledriver. That set up Anderson, now the legal man, coming off the top rope deathjump style with a Top Rope Clothesline on Fulton for the pin. Rogers had tried to make the save but was cut off by Blanchard. The Horsemen attempted a post-match attack but Fulton and Rogers turned the tables driving them out of the ring to a big pop from the crowd.
“The Punishment” Damien Martinez overcame a tough challenge from Jim Powers of LOW All-Star Wrestling in the opening contest. Powers brought the fight to his larger foe even scoring a two count on a running knee lift. Martinez made a lariat counter out of the corner and then leveled Powers with the Alabama Slam backbreaker for a two count. That led to the finish with Martinez executing South of Heaven for the pin. It is interesting to note that both Virgil, the bodyguard of the “Million $ Man” Ted Dibiase, and manager Abdullah Farouk came out to ringside separately during the match seemingly to scout Martinez.
CWA Top 10 Rankings:
1) The Sheik 2) Bobo Brazil 3) Bruiser Brody 4) Rick Rude 5) Ted Dibiase 6) Barry Windham 7) Rob Van Dam 8) Tully Blanchard 9) Curt Hennig 10) Hacksaw Jim Duggan

Jim Powers can pull out the upsets from time to time and Damien Martinez looked to be lucky to get that win especially while being scouted. I totally popped when Jumping Jim dropkicked the face off of DiBiase for the upset.
I like the idea of a feud between the Horsemen and Fantastics. Classic southern style tag encounter north of the border. Not to mention you can never go wrong with Windham mixed in the Horsemen. So much history.
Duggan may be popular with the kiddies but this ringside fan jeered him at every chance he got and gave The Mountie and standing ovation for his efforts.
Sheik has a long history of chaos in the Gardens and it carried on card 1223. RVD will no doubt be looking for payback down the road.
That main event was off the charts. Great action with a finish that only makes the fans wanting more.
The six-man tag match at the Omni should be awesome.

I wholeheartedly agree with bookerbill's comments here cruefan68! Alotta ways alotta things can play out from this last card. Awesome to see "The Paragon of Virtue" retain over Duggan. He's got a fantastic reign going. Duggan fought the law - and the law won. Barry Windham is awesome. Period. But now I want an official Dusty Rhodes card more and more - even more than before lol. Don't do it Barry! Stay away from the Horsemen! Even if you gotta go Dirty Yellow Dog all over them! Or start hanging out with the Whole Fn Show & co. In case it gets fugly. Anyway it all shakes out - I have no doubt its gonna be great!

Thanks for the great comments Bookerbill and Bri. Don't worry about Barry Windham just yet, he's doing fine on his own and in fact is likely a target of the New Age Horsemen for beating Hennig in their match. The Mountie has been on a great run as the LOW Tex-Arkana Television champion as Hacksaw Jim Duggan found out. Who will take down the Canadian lawman? Anyway, sorry for the long delay between shows but real life keeps getting in the way. I hope you enjoy this next round of action from Atlantic Coast Wrestling...
LOW Atlantic Coast Wrestling - The Omni - Atlanta, GA (Card #1224)
Quick Results:
1) Alere Little Feather & Little Beaver defeated April Hunter & Swoggle (Little Beaver pinned Swoggle – Boomerang)
2) Redd Dogg defeated Missing Link (with Rock Riddle) (Submission – Blackout, a Cobra Clutch Slam into a body scissors)
3) The Patriot defeated “Russian Bear” Ivan Koloff (Pinfall – Legdrop)
4) Sam Houston & Tracy Smothers defeated The Mongols (Bepo & Geeto, with Rock Riddle) by DQ
5) Tyler Black defeated Masked Superstar (Pinfall – Counter Cradle Hold)
6) LOW Junior Heavyweight title: Danny Hodge defeated “The Villain” Marty Scurll© by DQ
7) Midnight Express (“Loverboy” Dennis Condrey & “Beautiful” Bobby Eaton, with Jim Cornette) defeated Bob & Brad Armstrong (Dennis Condrey pinned Brad Armstrong – Midnight Massacre)
8) Harley Race, Johnny Valentine & Larry Zbyszko defeated Blackjack Mulligan, Magnum T.A. & “Wildfire” Tommy Rich (Harley Race pinned Blackjack Mulligan – Piledriver)
Match Highlights: A big trios match in the main event saw Blackjack Mulligan, Magnum T.A. & “Wildfire” Tommy Rich join forces to take on Harley Race, Johnny Valentine & Larry Zbyszko. After the ring introductions by Gary Michael Cappetta, Zbyszko grabbed the mic and demanded to be called “The Legend” drawing jeers from the crowd. Once the match got underway the heat was off the charts as both sides got in some great offense. Magnum T.A., coming off a huge singles win over Race, looked to get him again as the two had some torrid exchanges. Rich, who has one of the more legendary histories performing in front of the Omni crowd, did great during his time in. The finishing sequence saw Valentine nail Mulligan with the Atomic Skullcrusher for a big near fall. Zbyszko tagged in and executed the neckbreaker three times on Mulligan who was clearly feeling pain above the shoulders. Magnum and Rich urged Mulligan to make the tag but he was caught in the opposition corner where Race tagged in and delivered his trademark Piledriver to score the pin. Mulligan was laid out and vulnerable in that area of the ring but Magnum and Rich made sure to rush to his side and prevent a post-match attack. Race grabbed the mic afterward and said that while his main goal is to regain the LOW World Heavyweight title he has some unfinished business with Magnum T.A. and he challenged him to a return match on the next ACW card in Norfolk, VA (Card #1233). Magnum, who hails from Virginia Beach, had no problem accepting that and said that he would love nothing better than to beat Race again before his home fans in Virginia.
One of the more storied rivalries in pro wrestling history between “Bullet” Bob Armstrong and manager Jim Cornette made it’s way to ACW as the “Bullet” teamed up with his son, Brad Armstrong, to take on Cornette’s six-time LOW World tag team champions the Midnight Express, “Loverboy” Dennis Condrey & “Beautiful” Bobby Eaton. The capacity crowd at the Omni were fully in support of the Armstrong’s who hail from nearby Marietta, GA. The “Bullet” did a great job of handling the Express during his time in including hitting the Georgia Jawjacker on Condrey for a big near fall. The Express would get the heat on Brad for an extended stretch and got a near fall with a unique assisted abdominal stretch where Eaton made the blind tag and executed a roll-up out of Condrey’s hold. The Armstrong’s battled back taking the fight to the Express both in and out of the ring giving Cornette some heart palpitations. The manager would be relieved in the end, however, as the Express executed Midnight Massacre, a backbreaker by Condrey combined with a top rope elbow by Eaton, for the win. It was Condrey scoring the pin on Brad as Cornette held the leg of Bob from the outside preventing a save attempt. The vociferous Cornette crowed over the win by the Midnight Express post-match and dared those “teeny bopper sissies” the Rock & Roll Express to come to ACW and put the LOW World tag team titles on the line against his men.
Six-time LOW Junior Heavyweight champion Danny Hodge was looking to once again make history as he challenged “The Villain” Marty Scurll for the title. Scurll has been a solid champion early in his run but he knew going in that Hodge was a serious threat to the title. Hodge nearly won it by submission early with an Indian Deathlock prompting “The Villain” to take a more cautious approach. From that point it was a real technical wrestling display put on by both men featuring several near falls and submission chances. Hodge scored a big near fall with the Oklahoma Side Roll while “The Villain” came back utilizing the Crossface Chickenwing which was broken up in the ropes. Scurll also reverted to using the smash with umbrella drawing jeers from the crowd. Scurll had the momentum late before Hodge caught him in a sleeper hold going for the submission. Just when it looked like the champion was going out he was saved by Zack Sabre Jr. who ran in and nailed Hodge with a roundhouse kick. Hodge went down as the referee called for the bell allowing “The Villain” to retain the title in his version three defense on a disqualification loss. Scurll and Sabre Jr., who comprise LDRS in World of Sport, double-teamed Hodge post-match until Mike Graham ran in to help even the odds. After a brief battle it was Scurll and Sabre Jr. bailing out of the ring. It was later learned that Hodge and Graham will face LDRS in tag team action on the next edition of LOW All-Star Wrestling (Card #1231).
In other action…
The sensational Tyler Black out of Davenport, IA, took on the Masked Superstar who was competing in his billed hometown of Atlanta, GA. The Omni crowd was not on the side of the masked man, however, and cheered wildly when Black nearly pinned him with God’s Last Gift early in the match. Black was on point dominating for a good stretch utilizing such moves as Paroxysm, the F5 and the buckle bomb and superkick combo. The Superstar battled back and twice locked on the Cobra Hold but Black got to the ropes for a break. A big headbutt by the masked man, which may have been loaded, had Black reeling. The Superstar then went for a backdrop off the ropes but the agile Black executed a quick Counter Cradle Hold for a flash pin. The crowd erupted in cheers as Black picked up a huge win over the Masked Superstar.
The popular combination of Sam Houston & Tracy Smothers had their hands full as they took on The Mongols (Bepo & Geeto) who were accompanied to the ring by their manager Rock Riddle. Houston didn’t let the size difference affect him as he took the fight to both Mongols including nearly pinning Bepo with a knee lift. The Mongols fought back overpowering both men at various points. Geeto used the Gobi Nerve Hold to great effect and combined with Bepo for a double clothesline on Smothers for a near fall. Smothers fared well in the match until being busted open with repeated chain attacks by Bepo. That left Houston in a near handicap situation as Smothers tried to recover. The finish saw another brutal chain attack by Bepo, this time on Houston, and that resulted in a disqualification decision. The Mongols continued to attack Houston and a bloody Smothers post-match until Redd Dogg ran in brandishing a chair. The Missing Link joined in as well and it became a six-way war forcing LOW officials to intervene. The result is that Redd Dogg, Houston and Smothers will face The Mongols and the Link on the next ACW card in Norfolk.
It was a patriotic battle for The Patriot who brought the U.S. flag to the ring as he took on the “Russian Bear” Ivan Koloff. The veteran Koloff was not pleased with the presence of the flag and demanded that it be removed from ringside but instead The Patriot attached it to the ring post to cheers from the crowd. Koloff took it out on the masked man early including smashing him with the Russian Hammer. Things were not looking good for The Patriot until he avoided a corner charge and executed a counter roll-up for a two count. The Patriot took off from there and, after a tense battle on the outside, he caught Koloff with a Legdrop to score the pin. Koloff was angry over the loss claiming a quick count by the referee and threatened the official with his chain until The Patriot made the save driving the “Russian Bear” out of the ring.
Louisiana native Redd Dogg has been making waves since the ACW debut show by getting under the skin of the Missing Link and his manager Rock Riddle. After he cost Link his match with Tommy Rich on the last card, Riddle demanded that Redd Dogg face his charge at the Omni. As Riddle attempted to calm the Link down after the introductions it was Redd Dogg launching a surprise flying shoulder block sending the Link crashing into Riddle. Redd Dogg quickly followed up with Blackout as he trapped the Link in the punishing submission hold for a quick victory. The Link has very rarely, if ever, has lost a match via submission and the wildman took it out on a chair post-match by repeatedly headbutting it as Riddle pleaded with him to stop. It was a huge victory for Redd Dogg before an enthusiastic crowd at the Omni.
An entertaining mixed-tag team opener featured Alere Little Feather & Little Beaver taking on April Hunter & Swoggle as the stars of Ring Angels combined with the stars of the mighty midget division of LOW. Hunter was a standout here getting a good deal of offense in on Little Feather including crushing her with a power bomb. Her tag team partner Swoggle also fared well and nearly pinned Beaver with a counter cradle hold on a backdrop attempt. It was Beaver that took it home, though, as he caught Swoggle with his Boomerang finisher to score the pin and bring victory to him and Little Feather.
ACW Top 10 Rankings:
1) Magnum T.A. 2) Harley Race 3) Johnny Valentine 4) Blackjack Mulligan 5) Tyler Black 6) Tommy Rich 7) Danny Hodge 8) Larry Zbyszko 9) The Patriot 10) Masked Superstar

Great action from the Omni cruefan68. The side of Mongols & Link are out of control under the leadership of Rock Riddle. Enjoy how Sam Houston takes the beating. He did the same thing against Ivan Koloff in my own fed recently. He came up short in the feud but his card always seems to make the matches interesting. The six man battle should be a war. Speaking of Ivan Koloff, his issues with Patriot appear unresolved at this point. I enjoyed the Midnight Express v. Armstrongs match especially since the two sides have clashed more than once in the own Maple Leaf Wrestling territory. Just like my own legends fed, the Express come out of top. Great set up with a potential showdown with the Rock ‘n’ Roll Express down the road. Hard to have a bad match with the talent jammed into that main event. Enjoyed the finish and how the heels focused their attack on Mulligan’s neck. Post match challenge was classic old school. Love that you having a battle royal at the Cow Palace. Classic once again! Fun read as always my friend.

Just getting caught up on my favorite feds as I'm not on the boards nearly as often these days... Very pleased that Styles was able to hang onto the title... Looks like Bad Dude put up an excellent fight on that last installment of ECW...
The heat between RVD and The Sheik is getting intense... Some dangerous potential here... And I'm impressed with Windham's undefeated streak...
Awesome stuff, as always... Keep em rolling!

Really enjoyed Tyler Black and Harley Race putting the nail in the coffin during the main event cruefan68! And my man Little Beaver was awesome! The next card looks great (it always does). Have a feeling the Battle Royal is going to steal the show! Was there ever a midget title? Anywho - what more can I say? Crue knows the way!

Still enjoying the great action.
An official midgets title, I'm sure certain feds had it or at least billed someone as champion.

The LOW action continues to be top stuff here and it is great that the Mountie keeps his title, plus Blanchard & CW over the Fantastics was good stuff. Too bad the Mongols lost, but I really liked that Race, Valentine & Zbyszko won that six man match...
