Thanks very much for your comments Bookerbill, Pariah, Troy, Cruising and Bri. That MSG card was a lot of fun to roll out and I knew immediately that Pariah was going to love the main event result. I was hoping for a longer reign for Buddy Rogers myself but you can't argue with the dice. AJ could be in for another "phenomenal" run as the LOW World Heavyweight champion. I hope that everyone is feeling ok in these trying times and it can be good to retreat into a great game like this one and forget about things for a while. Next up is action from Pacific Coast Wrestling and starts the qualifying round of the PWI Invitational Cup tournament. I hope you enjoy the action...
LOW Pacific Coast Wrestling - McNichols Arena - Denver, CO (Card #1266)
Quick Results:
1) Wrestling Is Fun: Hydra & Swamp Monster defeated Private Eye & Boomer Hatfield (Hydra pinned Private Eye – Snake Eyes - Gorilla Press)
2) Chaz Taylor defeated Hugh Morrus (Pinfall – Chaztizer, a bulldog variation)
3) Sabu & Conor Claxton (with Jimmy Hart) defeated Dewey Robertson & Peter Kaasa (Conor Claxton pinned Peter Kaasa – Designated Driver)
4) Pampero Firpo (with Fred Blassie) defeated Johnny Mantell (Submission – El Garfio)
5) Midnight Rockers (Stan Lane & Marty Jannetty) & Tiger Conway Jr. defeated Dr. Tom Prichard & Texas Hangmen (Killer & Psycho, with Sherri Martel) (Stan Lane pinned DR. Dr. Tom Prichard – Flurry of Karate Kicks)
6) LOW Junior Heavyweight title: Flip Gordon defeated Marty Scurll© by DQ
7) PWI Invitational Cup Tournament Qualifying Match: Angelo Mosca defeated Cowboy Bob Orton to advance (Pinfall – Counter Roll-Up)
8) PWI Invitational Cup Tournament Qualifying Match: Big Van Vader defeated Tony Atlas to advance (Pinfall – Power Body Slam)
Show Highlights:
The stars of Wrestling Is Fun, complete with ring announcer Gavin Loudspeaker and Senior Official Bryce Remsburg, opened the show with Private Eye & Boomer Hatfield taking on Hydra & Swamp Monster. The rookie Boomer, the son of IWA star Dasher Hatfield, impressed in this entertaining bout but his team came out on the losing end. The “supremely powerful” Hydra closed it out pinning Private Eye with a Gorilla Press, a display of power that awed the fans and his fellow wrestlers.
The popular Chaz Taylor took on impressive looking PCW newcomer Hugh Morrus in a hard hitting bout. Morrus, billed from the Isle of Nowhere, dominated for a good stretch but made a mistake when he picked up Taylor at the two count after hitting No Laughing Matter, a moonsault. Taylor made a counter out of the corner soon after and then came off the top rope with the Chaztizer, a bulldog, to score the pin.
Jimmy Hart led two of his First Family members, Sabu & “The Wrench” Conor Claxton, into tag team action against Dewey Robertson & Peter Kaasa. This was a solid bout highlighted by Sabu hitting his chair-assisted Arabian Facebuster on Kaasa. That helped build to the finish as Claxton took over and laid out Kaasa before hitting the Designated Driver for the pin. Hart screeched through his megaphone post-match that the First Family will soon dominate PCW, baby!
Johnny Mantell out of Montague County, TX, had a tough draw facing the “Wild Bull of the Pampas” Pampero Firpo, who had his new manager the “King of Men” Fred Blassie in his corner. Blassie, one of the more highly ranked stars in LOW, is working as a wrestler-manager and has taken on Firpo as his first client in PCW. In fact, Blassie has signed Firpo to compete in the PWI Invitational Cup Tournament where he will face the talented Barry Windham in an upcoming qualifying match. Firpo was on a mission here and quickly caught Mantell in the El Garfio, his version of the claw hold, resulting in a submission victory for the Argentinian star.
A great trios match saw the Midnight Rockers (Stan Lane & Marty Jannetty) team up with popular PCW newcomer Tiger Conway Jr. to take on the SSA, Inc. team of Dr. Tom Prichard and the Texas Hangmen (Killer & Psycho). Sherri Martel was at ringside for her Sherri Sports Agency, Inc. team but she was none too happy with the outcome of the match. A wild finishing sequence saw Jannetty and Conway take the Hangmen outside as Lane blistered Prichard with a Flurry of Karate Kicks to score the pin.
The high-flying Flip Gordon got the opportunity of a lifetime as he took on “The Villain” Marty Scurll for the LOW Junior Heavyweight title. Gordon was on fire early taking it to the champion including delivering the Spring Blade. Scurll fought back and delivered Black Plague along with the Bird of Prey but Gordon survived. After a battle on the outside, Gordon held the upper hand until a counter by Scurll led to him delivering the Smash with Umbrella. The referee caught that and immediately called for the bell disqualifying Scurll and awarding the win to Gordon. Unfortunately for Gordon, Scurll retained in his version seven defense due to the DQ decision.
The opening match in the qualifying round for the PWI Invitational Cup Tournament saw “The Ace” Cowboy Bob Orton of the CWA taking on PCW star Angelo “King Kong” Mosca. Orton, who recently left PCW along with Rowdy Roddy Piper, came in at a weight disadvantage (71-pounds) but used his exceptional tendon strength to battle the former Canadian Football League star. This was a hard hitting affair and one that saw Orton score a huge near fall after hitting the Superplex. Mosca barely kicked out there but came back strong using running clotheslines and football tackles. After some fierce battles outside the ring, Orton regained control and went for a corner charge but Mosca avoided that and executed a Counter Roll-Up to score the pin. The huge win for Mosca meant that “King Kong” was the first man to qualify for the tournament which takes place during WrestleCade 13 weekend.
The main event qualifying match was another PCW vs. CWA battle as the popular “Mr. USA” Tony Atlas took on Big Van Vader. The crowd was actually split in their support of both men as Vader comes billed from the Rocky Mountains of Colorado. Vader dominated early and hit the Vader Bomb for a near fall. He then went for the 452-pound Moonsault, but Atlas rolled out of the way. Atlas mounted a strong offensive including executing an impressive vertical suplex. Very few men can match Vader in power, but Atlas was up to the challenge. This one could have gone either way, but Vader capped off a late offensive with a big Power Body Slam to score the pin. The victory meant that Vader was now joining Angelo Mosca in the opening round of the PWI Invitational Cup Tournament during WrestleCade 13 weekend.
PCW Top 10 Rankings:
1) Jimmy Snuka 2) Fred Blassie 3) The Mountie 4) Don Muraco 5) Angelo Mosca 6) Flip Gordon 7) Sabu 8) Pampero Firpo 9) Tony Atlas 10) Dutch Savage

With some of the top names in the territory not on the card, the action was still entertaining from top to bottom. Looks like Flip Gordon will be looking for a rematch for the strap. Chaz Taylor pulls out a big win as well which was nice to see.

Thanks for the comments Bookerbill, Bri and Troy. I hope that you and all of my fellow promoters are staying safe out there. I had a chance to finish my next show featuring more PWI Cup action and as usual wild antics in Eddie Gilbert's version of ECW...
Hotstuff International Inc. presents Extreme CHIKARA Wrestling - Mid-South Coliseum - Memphis, TN (Card #1267)
* ECW owner “Hot Stuff” Eddie Gilbert, flanked by Larry Dallas and the T-D Machines (#1 & #2) took to the ring to open the show:
EG: “Welcome, ladies and jerks, ha ha! This building holds a lot of memories for me and I can guarantee you that my ECW, Extreme CHIKARA Wrestling, is going to leave it’s mark on the Mid-South Coliseum. I have put together an amazing lineup for you tonight, not that you deserve it, including bringing two championship matches and two qualifying matches for the PWI Invitational Cup Tournament. I want to thank The Hobo for his matchmaking assistance, but I must ask Dallas what is it that you do around here again? Anyway, now that Mike “Quack Quack” Quackenbush is history I’m feeling a little restless. Let’s just say I’m spoiling for a fight. With that I had an idea and we are going to open this show with a Battle Royal and the prize is ME! You heard me right, the winner will immediately get to face me one-on-one to show me what they got and that includes you T-D Machines. Friend or foe I don’t care. Alright boys get on out here! Devastation Corporation, Silas Young, that big goof Keith Lee and everyone else get on down here and earn the right to face me. Who the hell is that coming out here? Disco Inferno? Who invited that doofus into my ECW? Was it you Dallas? Or maybe The Hobo is on the sauce again ha ha! Oh hell I don’t care, get in there Disco and let’s see what you got. Fill up that ring boys and someone get ready to face me and try and make a name for yourself!”
Quick Results:

7) PWI Invitational Cup Tournament Qualifying Match: Pampero Firpo (with Fred Blassie) defeated Barry Windham to advance (Pinfall – El Garfio)
8) PWI Invitational Cup Tournament Qualifying Match: Pepper Gomez defeated Rob Van Dam to advance (Pinfall – Mexican Cradle)
Show Highlights:
Known as the “Giant Killer” in the original Philadelphia-based ECW, Mikey Whipwreck lived up to that nickname in the opening match Battle Royal as he eliminated “Limitless” Keith Lee to win the match. Giving away nearly 150-pounds and being at a power disadvantage, Whipwreck relied on his speed to counter Lee and managed to eliminate him via a Frankenmikey. Lee was a tour de force in the match having eliminated six other competitors, including the tag teams of R.M.O.H. (Silas Young & Beer City Bruiser) and Steve Corino & Ricky Landell in succession, but came out on the losing end. Lee congratulated Whipwreck while simultaneously staring down “Hot Stuff” Eddie Gilbert who was ready to pounce on the winner. Gilbert, flanked by the T-D Machines, who themselves fared well in the match, ordered security to escort Lee to the back so that the next match could begin…
Mikey Whipwreck had the deck stacked against him having just competed in the Battle Royal and “Hot Stuff” Eddie Gilbert was relentless pounding away on him early. Gilbert, who had Larry Dallas and the T-D Machines at ringside, caught Whipwreck with the Hot Shot early but somehow, he kicked out. Gilbert was furious yelling at the referee and calling for him to be replaced by Bill Alfonso, the ECW Senior Official. Alfonso raced down to ringside but was cut off by the T-D Machines! Gilbert got distracted and that allowed Whipwreck to pounce on him and hit a top rope splash for a big near fall. As Alfonso was carried away, Dallas tried to interfere but that was countered by Whipwreck who then caught Gilbert with a tornado DDT followed by a Swinging Neckbreaker for the pin!
The crowd went crazy as Gilbert lost and the ECW owner was beside himself. He demanded that the T-D Machines explain themselves and the masked tag team returned and quickly disposed of Dallas at ringside before clearing a path for Whipwreck to leave. Gilbert realized what was happening and tried to escape but the T-D Machines caught him and unleashed a vicious attack. Gilbert was busted open and bleeding badly as his allies Shane Douglas, Ox Baker, DJ Hyde and Sweet Brown Sugar raced down to make the save. The Machines bailed out and then unmasked at ringside revealing “Filthy” Tom Lawlor and the “Southern Psycho” Mance Warner! The crowd went crazy again as a bloody Gilbert seethed knowing that he had been duped.
Things got worse as The Hobo came out and said that he had signed Lawlor and Warner to contracts with ECW and made sure that the real T-D Machines were booked elsewhere unbeknownst to Gilbert. If that weren’t enough, The Hobo then revealed the true identity of the T-D Machines as none other than Tommy & Doug Gilbert! That set off Eddie who had to be held back by his men as The Hobo, producing his own contract, said that he, Lawlor and Warner were in ECW to stay and there was nothing that Gilbert could do about it. Gilbert yelled back that The Hobo is fired but was informed by Dallas that the wrestling contract The Hobo had been signed to was ironclad. Gilbert lost it and said Lawlor and Warner are fired but The Hobo said, “no dice, their contracts are ironclad too!”
Feature tag team action pitted F.I.S.T. (Icarus & Gran Akuma) against Reno Scum (Adam Thornstowe & Luster the Legend). Both teams are competing for the top spot in ECW and an eventual shot at the LOW World tag team titles. This was a great bout that saw both teams with chances to win but Reno Scum took it when they hit the Scum Stomp on Gran Akuma with Luster the Legend covering him for the pin.
Double tough veteran Judy Martin, one-half of the Glamour Girls along with former Ring Angels champion Leilani Kai, attempted to take the title from current champion Jazz. This was a hard fought bout, including both women battling it out on the floor several times. Jazz gained the upper hand late and softened up Martin with the double underhook suplex before locking on the STF for a snake eyes submission win. It was a successful version one defense of the Ring Angels title for Jazz.
Newly crowned LOW Tex-Arkana Television champion The Patriot put the belt on the line against former champion Juan Francisco de Coronado, coming off The Patriot winning the belt on a recent edition of LOW All-Star Wrestling (Card #1261). Coronado was bound and determined to regain the title as evidenced by kicking out of both Uncle Slam and the Patriot Missile. It was a great show of resilience by the challenger who was also busted open during a battle on the outside. The Patriot kicked it into gear in the home stretch and pinned Coronado snake eyes style with a Clothesline giving him a successful version one defense of the title.
A big eight-man tag team match saw The Sandman join forces with the blue World order (Stevie Richards, Blue Meanie & Super Nova) to take on Shane Douglas, Ox Baker, DJ Hyde and Sweet Brown Sugar. Francine, the manager of Douglas, was in the corner for the team representing Hotstuff International Inc. while the controversial Bill Alfonso served as the referee. The addition of Alfonso to the match meant that The Sandman and the bWo were going to have to work even harder to attain victory. They came close when The Sandman hit the White Russian Leg Sweep on Douglas, but Francine broke it up by draping Douglas’ leg on the bottom rope. The vicious Baker later hit the Heart Punch on Richards for what looked to be a sure pin but the rest of the bWo made the save. The finishing stretch saw Sugar work over the Meanie setting up Douglas hitting the Pittsburgh Plunge on him for the pin.
The popular Barry Windham, representing the CWA, took on the “Wild Bull of the Pampas” Pampero Firpo of PCW in a qualifying match for the PWI Invitational Cup Tournament. Firpo, accompanied by his new manager the “King of Men” Fred Blassie, found himself on the defensive early as Windham looked determined to win. The tide turned on the outside when Firpo ran Windham head first into the ring post. Back inside he locked on the El Garfio, his version of the claw hold, but Windham fought out of it. Late in the match, Blassie removed the top turnbuckle pad out of view of the referee and Windham crashed into it going down on a double collision with Firpo. Windham was in a bad way as Firpo recovered and locked on the El Garfio again this time resulting in a pinfall victory. This was the first ever defeat for Windham in LOW and a huge win for Firpo who now joins Angelo Mosca and Big Van Vader in the tournament taking place during WrestleCade 13 weekend.
The main event featured another CWA vs. PCW battle as Rob Van Dam took on Pepper Gomez in a PWI Invitational Cup Tournament qualifying match. This battle of popular stars saw RVD dominate early using his speed and exceptional aerial moves, including the split-legged moonsault. Gomez mounted an offensive utilizing his stunning criss cross smash as well as the Mexican Leap. Late in the bout, RVD struck with his devastating Five Star Frog Splash but the impact caused a slow cover and Gomez kicked out of the pin. After a series of transitions, Gomez surprised RVD with the Mexican Cradle and scored the pin. Gomez took it in something of an upset and will now join Angelo Mosca, Big Van Vader and Pampero Firpo as tournament participants during WrestleCade 13 weekend. ECW Top 10 Rankings:
1) Ox Baker 2) Eddie Gilbert 3) Juan Francisco de Coronado 4) Keith Lee 5) Mikey Whipwreck 6) The Sandman 7) Shane Douglas 8) DJ Hyde 9) Tito Escondido 10) Sweet Brown Sugar
