Thanks for the comments Pariah and Bookerbill. United We Stand was a bittersweet show as I was gearing up Wrestling Is Fun to be on a collision course with ECW but I'm not upset with how I handled the situation. It has given me the opportunity to go in a new direction on several fronts. The build to WrestleCade 13 is indeed in full swing especially with this upcoming major show at MSG. Sorry for the length of it but I hope you enjoy pouring through the results...
LOW Capitol Wrestling Alliance - Madison Square Garden - New York, NY (Card #1285)

12) Elimination Match: Mil Mascaras defeated Rikidozan (Pinfall – Crossbody Attack)
Show Highlights:
The opening match of a big night at MSG saw Ron Hutchison & George South of LOW All-Star Wrestling take on the newest members of the House of Humperdink, Shelton Benjamin & Charlie Haas otherwise known as Wrestling’s Greatest Tag Team. Manager Sir Oliver Humperdink proudly watched from ringside as his new team put on a tag team clinic. They dominated virtually the entire match, a match which ended when Benjamin planted Hutchison with Paydirt to score the snake eyes pin.
Empress Ring action was up next as Jessie McKay & Karen Q teamed up to take on a more experienced pair in Tina Moretti & Joyce Grable. McKay and Q were very impressive as a team here, including keeping Grable on the defensive for a good stretch. That included McKay scoring a near fall with the School Girl Crush. Moretti made a nice comeback for her team and nearly pinned McKay with the Jumping Facebuster. Things broke down after that with some exchanges before Grable went up top deathjump style and delivered a Flying Bodypress on McKay to score the pin.
The high-flying Battle Kat of LOW All-Star Wrestling had a tall order as he took on the 495-pound One Man Gang, who was accompanied by his manager Sir Oliver Humperdink. OMG was dominant from the start, but a missed 747 Splash allowed Battle Kat a chance to recover. Battle Kat took to the air frustrating OMG, and Humperdink as well who interfered when Kat executed the Kat’s Cradle on his larger foe. OMG took a good deal of offense from Battle Kat before a late counter led to him hitting a Running Corner Splash for the pin. With Battle Kat vanquished, OMG grabbed the mic from ring announcer Gary Michael Cappetta and said he heard that Andre the Giant had issued a challenge to face him at WrestleCade 13 and he answered with two words – “challenge accepted!”
The “American Wolf” Davey Richards, winner of the tenth annual PWI Invitational Cup Tournament, took on a man that has qualified for the eleventh annual event, the undefeated Big Van Vader out of the Rocky Mountains. The size difference was evident, as was the power difference with Vader using his awesome strength to dominate for a long stretch. Richards never seemed to get on track, save for after avoiding a Moonsault by the 452-pound Mastodon. Vader was relentless in his attack and, after an assault on the outside, he nailed Richards with the Released Power Bomb to score the pin. It was an impressive victory for Vader who promises to be a serious threat to everyone else competing in the upcoming PWI Invitational Cup Tournament taking place during WrestleCade 13 weekend.
The flamboyant Dalton Castle was looking to make a successful debut in the CWA as he took on the equally flamboyant “King of Wrestling” Bobby Shane, who was accompanied by his manager Sir Oliver Humperdink. The House of Humperdink was out in full force at MSG with Shane hoping to finish up an undefeated night. He did a great job early roughing up Castle with a variety of moves. He even trapped him in the Japanese Sleeper going for the submission, but Castle was able to get to the ropes for a break. Castle went on a good offensive run including locking on the Deadlift German Suplex, but Shane kicked out at two. After some great back and forth, Castle again executed his finisher but this time Humperdink interfered resulting in Shane losing the match via disqualification.
A huge grudge match saw the brother tag team of Randy “Macho Man” Savage & “Leaping” Lanny Poffo taking on “Rowdy” Roddy Piper & “The Ace” Cowboy Bob Orton. This was pure chaos. Savage and Poffo rushed the ring looking to avenge the concussion injury their father, Angelo Poffo, suffered at the hands of Piper and Orton. They were jumped as they got in, but Savage reversed the momentum nearly pinning Piper after a missed corner charge. Savage then delivered the Flying Elbow Smash, but Orton broke up the pin attempt. Poffo took over and hit the Sky Drop on Piper but again Orton broke up the pin. Piper was reeling and turned right into a punch from Savage on the apron allowing Poffo to hit a Dropkick from behind and roll him up for a flash pin. The crowd erupted in cheers as Poffo pinned Piper, who was beside himself over the loss. An irate Piper grabbed the mic as Savage and Poffo taunted him from outside the ring. Piper called out Poffo and said that “no one does this to me!” before challenging him to a match. Poffo agreed and it was later learned that the two will meet one-on-one on the next edition of LOW All-Star Wrestling (Card #1291).
The ”Whole F’N Show” Rob Van Dam took on an imposing challenge facing CWA newcomer Donovan Dijak, who was accompanied by his manager Abdullah Farouk. RVD has had some serious run-ins with Farouk and his men, most notably The Sheik, so he was definitely looking to take it to Dijak. He was on the defensive early, though, as Dijak overpowered him including delivering The Dijection, a fireman’s carry into a side slam, several times. RVD struggled to recover but when he did he blasted Dijak with the Van Daminator angering Farouk who argued with the referee that it should be a disqualification. Dijak battled back but a quick counter by RVD led to him hitting a Split-Legged Moonsault for the pin. Farouk was visibly upset over the decision as Dijak suffered his first defeat since joining the CWA.
Two of the top teams in the CWA squared off as The James Gang (B.G. James & Kip James), newly arrived in the territory, took on the Valiant Brothers (“Handsome” Jimmy Valiant & “Luscious” Johnny Valiant). This was an all-out war between two teams determined to secure a victory. The James Gang nearly won it when Kip hit the Standing Leg Drop on Jimmy, but he managed to kick out just before the three count. Johnny Valiant was highly effective in this one working over both of the James Gang. Building to a furious finish, all four men fought to the outside exchanging blows while the referee administered his ten count. As B.G. and Johnny fought up the aisle, Kip avoiding a charging Jimmy who collided with the ring post. Kip then alertly dove back into the ring scoring a Count Out victory for the James Gang.
The popular Barry Windham took on the leader of the New Age Horsemen, “Ravishing” Rick Rude, who was accompanied by his manager J.J. Dillon. Windham has been no stranger to the beatings delivered by the Horsemen collectively, so he relished this opportunity to get Rude in the ring one-on-one. Windham was in full control of the bout when he hit the Lariat for what looked to be a sure pin, but Dillon waved out the calvary with Curt Hennig, Tully Blanchard and CW Anderson running out to prevent a pin as the referee was distracted. The referee, however, took matters into his own hands and ejected all three from ringside! LOW officials were called to escort Hennig, Blanchard and Anderson out as the match continued. Rude recovered and twice hit the Rude Awakening but Windham escaped defeat both times, getting his foot on the bottom rope one time and kicking out the other. Rude was beside himself as was Dillon, as Windham recovered and battled back. After both men went down from a double clothesline, Windham got up first and blasted Rude with the flying Lariat to score the pin. It was a huge win for Windham over the Horsemen on this night.
The LOW World tag team titles were on the line as the defending champions the Rock n’ Roll Express (Ricky Morton & Robert Gibson) took on the Miracle Violence Connection of Steve “Dr. Death” Williams & Terry “Bamm Bamm” Gordy. LOW senior referee Morgan Dollar got the call for this all-important match which by the end could have been considered epic. Both teams were on point using quick tags, double-team moves and high impact finishers looking for the victory. Gordy, who nearly pinned Morton with the Power Bomb moments earlier, somehow survived the Double Dropkick of the Rock n’ Roll Express kicking out before the three count. It took everything that Morton and Gibson had to counter the power and tenacity of the MVC, including taking it to the outside several times. Williams was busted open when Morton ran him into the ring post, but “Dr. Death” did not slow down coming back for more against the champions. The finishing sequence saw Gibson nail the bloody Williams with a back elbow smash for a near fall. Morton followed with a top rope punch on Doc for another near fall before surprising him with a Cross Body Block to score the pin. The Rock n’ Roll Express survived their version one defense of the titles in a match that could have seen either team leave MSG with the gold.
LOW Commissioner Teddy Long made his way to ringside prior to the main event, the annual 12-Man Gold Star Battle Royal to determine who would go on to challenge for the LOW World Heavyweight title at WrestleCade 13. Long was soon joined by the newly crowned three-time LOW World Heavyweight champion “Nature Boy” Buddy Rogers who surprisingly had manager Bobby “The Brain” Heenan with him. The always vocal Heenan, who manages Nick Bockwinkel & Ray Stevens in Golden Age Wrestling, grabbed the mic away from ring announcer Gary Michael Cappetta and revealed the news that he is now, in fact, the new manager of Rogers. It was a shocking announcement for sure and gives Rogers the added presence of “The Brain” in his corner for his title defenses.
Cappetta resumed his announcing duties and one-by-one introduced the accomplished competitors participating in the match, most of whom stopped near Rogers at ringside to gaze at the title. That included former champion “The Phenomenal” AJ Styles who engaged in quite a stare down with Rogers before LOW officials ordered him into the ring. The “Million $ Man” Ted Dibiase, who was introduced after Styles, was seen suspiciously handing Heenan an envelope during that stare down. Cappetta stated the rules of the match which are over-the top rope elimination until only two men are left and then they will compete in an Elimination Match to determine who will go on to challenge for the world championship at WrestleCade.
The Battle Royal was hectic as anticipated with some surprising eliminations coming along the way. Frank Gotch, the inaugural LOW World Heavyweight champion, was the first man dumped out courtesy of Dibiase who proved to be a real force in the match. Lou Thesz was also dominant scoring a match leading four eliminations, making it to the final three before being ousted by Mil Mascaras. A controversial elimination saw Exotic Adrian Street surprise Harley Race with a kiss before dumping him over the top rope. Race was livid slamming the ring apron and wiping his face as Street pranced in the ring drawing cheers from the crowd. Race had to be escorted to the back by LOW officials angrily yelling about the situation which obviously embarrassed the rugged former world champion.
More controversy came when Heenan, perhaps influenced by the envelope handed to him earlier by Dibiase, got involved as the “Million $ Man” battled AJ Styles along the ropes. The interference by Heenan proved pivotal as Dibiase eliminated Styles drawing thunderous jeers from the sell-out crowd at MSG. Street, having already endeared himself to the fans, caused another uproar as he ran Dibiase into Heenan and then dumped the “Million $ Man” over the top rope eliminating him. The dream run for Street ended a short time later as Thesz eliminated him from the match. Thesz followed with spectacular and impressive eliminations of Bobo Brazil and Johnny Valentine before Mascaras got him out. That left the final two as Mascaras, representing Lucha MAX, and Kings Road United founder Rikidozan.
The one fall Elimination Match, officiated by Morgan Dollar, saw Mil Mascaras and Rikidozan engage in a real classic despite the fatigue of having just competed in the Battle Royal. A near fall exchange early, including Mascaras hitting his Flying Bodypress and Rikidozan delivering the Thunderous Chops, had the crowd going wild. The two also traded a number of submission holds with Rikidozan relying on a punishing Boston Crab several times in the match. Mascaras countered with the Indian Deathlock which nearly resulted in a submission but Rikidozan chopped his way out of it. The battle of international superstars built up to a dramatic finish as Mascaras went up top deathjump style and hit a unique version of the crossbody attack from an aerial position. Rikidozan was stunned and as he got up it was Mascaras hitting the trademark Crossbody Attack to score the pin. The crowd erupted in cheers as Mascaras picked up a monumental victory.
Buddy Rogers and Bobby Heenan wasted no time getting into the ring to confront Mascaras, with Rogers taunting him with the world title belt. Rogers handed the belt to Heenan and stood face-to-face with Mascaras attempting to intimidate him, but the record seven-time world champion did not flinch. Eventually the two were separated by LOW officials, including LOW Commissioner Teddy Long, and Rogers and Heenan left the ring. Rikidozan, obviously upset over the loss, had remained in the ring and once things were settled he walked over and shook hands with Mascaras drawing cheers from the crowd. Long then made it official by announcing that Mascaras will face Rogers for the LOW World Heavyweight title in the main event of WrestleCade 13 at Wrigley Field in Chicago, IL (Card #1300).
CWA Top 10 Rankings:
1) AJ Styles 2) The Sheik 3) Ted Dibiase 4) Roddy Piper 5) Barry Windham 6) Rick Rude 7) Big Van Vader 8) Rob Van Dam 9) Davey Richards 10) Curt Hennig

Although I was cheering for AJ to win that Gold Star Battle Royal, the action was still spectacular... The Million $ Man has got some PHENOMENAL payback headed his way... At least, I am hoping - Styles vs. DiBiase would make a great match for WrestleCade... HA!
Quite a triumph for the Man of 1000 Masks... Wonder if we might see him extend his record to 8X LOW World Heavyweight Champion... The Nature Boy has gotta be nervous, to say the least.
As always, the intensity just continued to build from start to finish... Some big matches made for WrestleCade with OMG accepting the challenge of the Eighth Wonder of the World... And in a huge twist, Leaping Lanny (and not his brother) will be facing the Hot Rod... Ohhhhh, snap!
Things are seriously shaping up, my friend... Very nice work!

Many pots cookin on the stove here cruefan68! Although Wrestling is Fun vs ECW would have been a real show unto itself - I hear ya. Andre vs One Man Gang - Roy Scheider would have said - "You're Gonna Need A Bigger Ring"... Awesome Gold Star Battle Royal. I was pulling for Rikidozan at the end there. Mascaras vs Rogers with a side order of Heenan should be a multi faceted war. Barry Windham continues to show World Champion like caliber. (Not that I'm suggesting anything 😉) Always looking forward to LOW my friend!

You have to like Mascaras - Rogers as the main event in Chicago. I am thinking we could see a new champion to start the next season of action off.
Cannot wait to see how the balance of the card shapes up.

Thanks as always for the great feedback Pariah, Troy, Bri and Bookerbill. WrestleCade 13 is starting to take shape and I will let you know that I will have the full lineups for the entire weekend revealed on the next ASW show. Pariah, LOW Commissioner Teddy Long is taking your Styles vs. Dibiase request under consideration Coming up next is action from Pacific Coast Wrestling, including two championship matches, as we continue on the road towards the big event...LOW Pacific Coast Wrestling - Honda Centre - Anaheim, CA (Card #1286)Quick Results: 1) Scott Casey defeated Johnny Rodz (Pinfall – Backbreaker) 2) Andy Brown defeated Adrian Quest (Pinfall – C.O.D.) 3) Tugboat & Chaz Taylor defeated Nikolai Volkoff & Boris Zhukov (Chaz Taylor pinned Nikolai Volkoff – Chaztizer) 4) Flip Gordon defeated Steve Regal (Pinfall – Counter Roll-Up) 5) Empress Ring title: Jazz© defeated Ida Mae Martinez to retain the title (Pinfall – Sit-Out Power Slam) 6) Don Muraco, The Warlord & Rhino (with Jimmy Hart) defeated Pepper Gomez, Jeff Cobb & Damien Martinez (Don Muraco pinned Jeff Cobb – Vertical Suplex) 7) Midnight Rockers (Stan Lane & Marty Jannetty) defeated Playboy Buddy Rose & Dr. Tom Prichard (Marty Jannetty pinned Dr. Tom Prichard – Flapjack) 8) LOW International Heavyweight title: Tyler Black© defeated Dutch Savage to retain the title (Pinfall – Buckle Bomb and Superkick Combo) Show Highlights: The popular “Cowboy” Scott Casey opened things up taking on “The Unpredictable” Johnny Rodz of LOW All-Star Wrestling. Rodz has been known to pull off some upsets but not on this night. Casey put in a dominant performance scoring near falls with a powerslam and the Bulldog, the latter of which saw Rodz get his foot on the bottom rope to break up the pin. Casey quickly followed up with a Backbreaker over the knee and scored the pin on Rodz. Two newcomers to PCW squared off as “Uptown” Andy Brown took on “Young Fuego” Adrian Quest. Both men have had great runs on the independent scene in southern California, most notably for Championship Wrestling from Hollywood, and now they have the chance to make an impact with LOW. Brown struck with a devastating move early, a DVD on the ring apron, but Quest recovered and fought back hard including scoring a near fall with the 40 oz Bounce, a springboard codebreaker. Brown would turn it around late and he nailed Quest with the C.O.D. (Concussion on Delivery), a rolling cutter, to score the pin. The father-and-son team of Tugboat & Chaz Taylor had a tough draw taking on the Russian duo of Nikolai Volkoff & Boris Zhukov, who are now managed by the “King of Men” Fred Blassie. The only problem here was that Blassie was not at ringside due to having just participated in the Gold Star Battle Royal at MSG, meaning he was still in New York fulfilling other obligations. The Taylor’s had the Russians off their game for most of the match, especially Volkoff who took a good deal of offense from the equally large Tugboat. The finishing sequence saw Tugboat hit a cartwheel and clothesline on Volkoff setting up a tag to Chaz. As Tugboat took out Zhukov, Chaz hit the Chaztizer, a springboard bulldog, on an unsuspecting Volkoff to score the pin. The crowd cheered wildly over the victory by Tugboat and Chaz and there is no doubt that when word gets back to Blassie he will not be pleased with the outcome of the match. The phrase “snatching victory from the jaws of defeat” certainly applies to this match between Flip Gordon and “Mr. Electricity” Steve Regal. It was all Regal most of the way, and he twice trapped Gordon in the Ft. Lauderdale Leglock for submission chances, but a mistake in the end cost him. Regal went for a corner charge, but Gordon flipped out over him executing a Counter Roll-Up to score the pin. Regal complained of a quick count, but the referee declared Gordon the winner of the match. Ida Mae Martinez, a former Empress Ring champion, was looking to regain the belt as she took on defending Empress Ring champion Jazz. This was a battle of the quickness of Martinez against the strength of Jazz. Both women had solid runs on offense, but it was Jazz who would prevail with a counter into a Sit-Out Power Slam for the pin. It was a successful version three defense of the title for Jazz securing her second place on the all-time list behind Mildred Burke who leads with thirteen. A big trios match saw Pepper Gomez, Jeff Cobb & “The Punishment” Damien Martinez join forces to take on the First Family team of “The Magnificent” Don Muraco, The Warlord & Rhino. The “Mouth of the South” Jimmy Hart was at ringside for his First Family team, irritating the opposition and the fans alike by constantly shouting through his megaphone. The action in this one was all over the place, in and out of the ring, and it nearly ended in a double disqualification at one point. A wild sequence saw Muraco hit the Hawaiian Hammer on Martinez for what looked to be a sure pin, but Cobb broke it up. Cobb then sent Muraco straight into a South of Heaven by Martinez for a big near fall. Rhino later hit the Gore on Cobb, but Martinez returned the favor by making the save. Hart got involved in a controversial finish as Muraco got Cobb up in a Vertical Suplex and floated over into a cover with the manager holding Cobb’s legs from the outside adding leverage on the pin. Gomez and Martinez argued with the referee over Hart’s interference, but the First Family got away with the victory thanks to their manager. The popular Midnight Rockers (Stan Lane & Marty Jannetty) took on the self-proclaimed greatest tag team in PCW, Playboy Buddy Rose & Dr. Tom Prichard, in a feature tag team attraction. The Rockers held the early advantage on Rose, frustrating the Playboy who desperately tried to tag out. When the tag was finally made, Prichard fared a little better including getting a two count on Lane with a neck drop on the top rope. Rose and Prichard did a good job controlling the pace from there but that fell apart when Prichard missed a corner charge and fell out of the ring. He appeared to hurt his shoulder hitting the ring post and the Rockers took full advantage of that. The finish saw the Rockers connect with a Flapjack on Prichard with Jannetty covering him for the pin as Lane took out Rose with a flurry of karate kicks. The main event saw Tyler Black defending his newly won LOW International Heavyweight title against the tough challenge of Dutch Savage. This was a hard hitting affair which is right up the alley of the challenger. Savage did a great job countering the speed advantage of Black, neutralizing him with brawling attacks. Neither man was able to hit their respective finishers in the match which is a testament to their abilities. Savage held the upper hand late but a counter clothesline out of the corner followed by a lariat left him in a bad way. Black followed up with a dive out of the ring that nearly saw Savage counted out. Back inside it was Black connecting with the Buckle Bomb and Superkick Combo to score the pin. It was a successful version two defense of the title for Black against a determined challenger in Savage. Transactions: * PCW have come to terms with Jimmy “Superfly” Snuka and Hugh Morrus on releases from their contracts and wish both men well in their future endeavors. PCW Top 10 Rankings: 1) Fred Blassie 2) Don Muraco 3) Dutch Savage 4) Pepper Gomez 5) Angelo Mosca 6) Pampero Firpo 7) Sabu 8) Damien Martinez 9) Jeff Cobb 10) Tiger Conway Jr. * current champions not included in rankings

Thanks as always for your comments Pariah, it is greatly appreciated. After another extended absence I'm back this time with Atlantic Coast Wrestling which was a fun show to roll out. Apologies to all of the other feds I usually give feedback to but my time to post is just very limited right now between work and personal commitments. I have to stress that I do read the board everyday and thoroughly enjoy the great feds both here in Legends and also in COTG. Very cool to see your 2087 re-launch, Pariah. I am dipping into the COTG side myself with Tournament of Champions and may soon debut a GWF fed if I can find a way I want to present it. Ok, now let's get to those ACW results, I hope you enjoy the action...
LOW Atlantic Coast Wrestling - Greensboro Coliseum - Greensboro, NC (Card #1287)
Quick Results:
1) Tony Atlas & S.D. Jones defeated Bruiser Costa & Rusty Brooks (S.D. Jones pinned Rusty Brooks – Headbutt)
2) Long Riders (Wild Bill Irwin & Scott “Hog” Irwin) defeated Double-X (Mr. X & Mr. X II) (Scott Irwin pinned Mr. X – Superplex)
3) Redd Dogg defeated Mr. Hughes (Pinfall – STO)
4) Stars & Stripes (The Patriot & Marcus Alexander Bagwell) defeated Larry Hennig & Randy Rose (The Patriot pinned Randy Rose – Double Shoulder Tackle)
5) Midnight Express (Dennis Condrey & Bobby Eaton, with Jim Cornette) defeated The Fantastics (Bobby Fulton & Tommy Rogers) by Count Out
6) Apter’s Corner with special guest Angelo Poffo (* see Show Highlights for a recap of this segment)
7) LOW Junior Heavyweight title: Brad Armstrong defeated Marty Scurll© by DQ
8) Andre the Giant, Blackjack Mulligan, Tommy Rich & Diamond Dallas Page defeated Abdullah the Butcher, Missing Link & The Mongols (Bepo & Geeto) (Blackjack Mulligan pinned Missing Link – Lariat)
Show Highlights:
The opening contest saw the newly arrived team of “Mr. USA” Tony Atlas & S.D. “Special Delivery” Jones taking on Bruiser Costa & Rusty Brooks of LOW All-Star Wrestling. Costa and Brooks proved to be a formidable team with their weight advantage, but in the end they were no match for Atlas and Jones in this one. Atlas looked great using both power moves and high flying attacks like his big dropkick to wear down both men. Jones held up his end as well and, after a double clothesline, he got up first and blasted Brooks with a Headbutt to score the pin.
Another tag team making their ACW debut were the Long Riders, Wild Bill Irwin & Scott “Hog” Irwin, as they faced Double-X (Mr. X & Mr. X II) of LOW All-Star Wrestling. This was all Long Riders who took out Mr. X II at the start and worked over Mr. X for the duration of the match. It was an impressive and brutal display by the brother team who won it when Scott pinned Mr. X after delivering his devastating Superplex.
The popular Redd Dogg out of Lafayette, LA, had a tough draw taking on the massive 6’5” and 332-pound Mr. Hughes who was also making his ACW debut. Hughes was looking to impress, and he did just that mauling Dogg for a long stretch. Hughes delivered a series of released gut wrench suplexes and hit both a big boot to the face and a Spike Slam for near falls. Redd Dogg, who recently had a tough rivalry with the Missing Link, had to dig down deep here and he somehow fought back before finally nailing Hughes with an STO to score the pin. It was a huge victory for Redd Dogg which left Hughes seething as he lost his debut match in the territory.
The long awaited return of Stars & Stripes, The Patriot & Marcus Alexander Bagwell, saw them take on rugged opposition in the form of Larry “The Axe” Hennig & “Ravishing” Randy Rose. After two reigns as LOW Tex-Arkana Television champion, The Patriot is back full-time in ACW and he and Bagwell hope to fare well in what is a stacked tag team division. Hennig provided some scary moments for the popular duo, though, including kicking out after taking the Star Spangled Suplex. Rose was equally as effective, including nearly pinning Bagwell with a counter roll-up out of the corner. The finish saw Stars & Stripes pull it out when The Patriot pinned Rose after he and Bagwell combined on a powerful Double Shoulder Tackle.
ACW fans have been clamoring for this meeting for a while and they got it as The Fantastics (Bobby Fulton & Tommy Rogers) took on Jim Cornette’s Midnight Express, “Loverboy” Dennis Condrey & “Beautiful” Bobby Eaton, who are former seven-time LOW World tag team champions. The Express dominated the early action, using their great teamwork to prevent Fulton from tagging out. Condrey nearly won it with the Face First Leg Sweep before Fulton was finally able to tag out. The Fantastics mounted a nice counter offensive which caused Cornette to have heart palpitations. Condrey turned things around late and, after busting Fulton open, he sent him to the outside where Cornette got involved. Out of view of the referee, Cornette blasted the bloody Fulton with his tennis racquet laying him out. The Express double-teamed Rogers as the referee issued a ten count with Fulton unable to get back in. The Midnight Express stole one in what could be the start of a great rivalry in ACW.
PWI Editor Bill Apter was on hand in Greensboro to host a special edition of Apter’s Corner with his guest being Angelo Poffo. The Poffo family patriarch, whose sons Randy Savage and Lanny Poffo are at war with Roddy Piper & Cowboy Bob Orton in the CWA, received a warm welcome from the crowd. Apter asked Poffo about his concussion injury which he suffered at the hands of Piper and Orton following a match in the qualifying round for the PWI Invitational Cup Tournament. Poffo said that he is happy to report that he has been medically cleared to return to the ring, which he plans to do soon. Apter said that was great news and asked him if he had any plans to go after Piper and Orton himself. Before he had a chance to respond, Poffo was jumped from behind by none other than Bob Orton Sr. as Apter ran from the ring.
Orton Sr., who most recently competed in Golden Age Wrestling, roughed up Poffo and attempted a Piledriver but fortunately LOW officials prevented that. With Poffo still down, Orton put the boots to him and grabbed the mic saying that he has signed a contract with ACW. He then taunted Poffo before saying that “if you and your punk sons have any guts you will face Piper, my son and myself at WrestleCade 13!” The challenge was not answered in the moment, obviously, but one would expect that the Poffo family will likely agree to the match. Apter later filed a report on the PWI website noting that Savage is already competing in the PWI Invitational Cup Tournament during WrestleCade 13 weekend which, if he advances to the finals, could see him forced to compete twice on the big event.
The popular Brad Armstrong, accompanied by his father “Bullet” Bob Armstrong, challenged “The Villain” Marty Scurll for the LOW Junior Heavyweight title. This was a fast paced, exciting match with both men having good offensive runs. Armstrong, who held the title seven years ago, was hoping to strike gold again as he hit trademark moves like the knee lift and two-handed bulldog. Scurll was reeling late and went to his villainous ways as he delivered the Smash with Umbrella in full view of the referee resulting in a disqualification. Both Armstrong’s were furious over the call as Scurll grabbed the title belt and quickly bailed out of the ring. Armstrong won it by DQ but Scurll retained the title in his version nine defense which ties him with Tiger Mask for the all-time record for the championship.
The main event was a big eight-man tag team match with the “Eighth Wonder of the World” Andre the Giant coming in to ACW to team up with Blackjack Mulligan, “Wildfire” Tommy Rich and Diamond Dallas Page against the team of Abdullah the Butcher, the Missing Link and The Mongols (Bepo & Geeto), who were accompanied by their manager Rock Riddle. This match was insane and featured a little bit of everything. Abdullah hit the Sudanese Meat Cleaver on Andre at one point, but Andre powered out at the count of two. Rich executed both the Wildfire Sleeper and the Thesz Press for would be victories but both times they were broken up. The Mongols worked effectively for their side including having success working over Andre. The finish of the chaotic affair saw all eight-men battling it out before Mulligan caught the Link with a big boot to the face followed up by a Lariat for the pin.
ACW Top 10 Rankings:
1) Harley Race 2) Blackjack Mulligan 3) Johnny Valentine 4) Magnum T.A. 5) Tommy Rich 6) Diamond Dallas Page 7) Abdullah the Butcher 8) Masked Superstar 9) Bill Dundee 10) Redd Dogg

cruefan68,
It is great to see you posting fed results once again (I will also follow your COTG fed if you post those results too!)
If they are both included in the Q4 LOW set and/or Q4 LOW Promoter prime, I will probably also use Tony Atlas and SD Jones as an occasional tag team.
nice debut for the Long Riders (they will be debuting for me too very soon)
a Fantastics vs Midnight Express match is always a great thing
And I absolutely love the feud involving two of my all-time favorite wrestlers in Randy Savage and Roddy Piper!
Great stuff, looking forward to the upcoming PWI Invitational Cup Tournament and the rest of WrestleCade 13 weekend.
