I tried a writing gig for a movie news aggregator website. The pay wasn't very good at all. You didn't really have to come up with something to write about, basically take news found on another website, re-write it and post it to their website. I think it usually took me 20-30 minutes per article (though someone could probably get faster at it with time) and the pay was $4 per article. The per-article pay went up with certain thresholds but I kinda lost steam on it before I could ever come near those thresholds. It wasn't terrible work... very easy. The pay was better than those silly surveys but still not great. If you're interested, I'd be happy to connect you to the guy that runs those sites. He has sites for a number of different topics. It only paid out once per month but it was always on time.
