NON-TELEVISED OPENING MATCH Soul Patrol("Birdman" Koko B. Ware & D'Lo Brown) vs. "Dastardly" Danny Doring & Amish Roadkill vs. PG-13(J.C. Ice & Wolfie D.) in a Triple Threat Tag Team Match: Commissioner Charlie Cox made this match because PG-13 attacked both Soul Patrol and Doring & Roadkill when those teams fought to a double disqualification before the first Saturday Night Special. The winner gets a televised match next week. Brown hit Doring with LO DOWN for the win. WINNER: Soul Patrol(Koko B. Ware--0 fatigue & D'Lo Brown--0 fatigue) beat Danny Doring--1 fatigue & Amish Roadkill--1 fatigue and PG-13(J.C. Ice--0 fatigue & Wolfie D.--0 fatigue) when Brown pinned Doring with LO DOWN
SATURDAY NIGHT SPECIAL(HOUR 1) Les Thatcher: "Welcome to Rebel Wrestling's Saturday Night Special. The war between the Rat Pack and the Freebirds continues tonight with Jim Duggan vs. Eddie Gilbert." Jim Cornette: "But first, the battle over the right to be called First Family Of Southern Wrestling continues. Let's go to the ring and Gary Michael Cappetta."
MATCH 1: "Bullet" Bob Armstrong vs. Tommy Gilbert: Cappetta introduces both men. he also announces that their sons Brad Armstrong & Doug Gilbert are banned from ringside! Armstrong grabbed a wristlock and hit a knee lift. Then Armstrong went up top for a flying crossbody, but Gilbert moved out of the way! Armstrong smashed into the mat, and Gilbert went for a cover. 1, 2, 3! Gilbert gets a quick win over Armstrong. Thatcher: "Armstrong went high-risk, and Gilbert made him pay for it." Cornette: "This proves that the Gilberts really are the First Family Of Southern Wrestling." WINNER: Tommy Gilbert--0 fatigue pinned Bob Armstrong--0 fatigue after Gilbert moved out of the way of Armstrong's top rope flying crossbody
MATCH 2: "Superstar" Bill Dundee & Mike Graham vs. The Freakshow("Exotic" Adrian Street & "Prince Of Darkness" Kevin Sullivan)with Miss Linda,, Missing Link & Lord Zoltan: Dundee & Graham are already in the ring when Cappetta introduces The Freakshow. The lights go out and red strobe lights flash as they make their entrance to the String Driven Thing song "Circus". Street & Sullivan stop in the aisle, look into the camera, and sing, "Take me to the circus. I wanna see the lion. I wanna see the tiger. I wanna see the chimpanzee. The chimpanzee wants to see me." They enter the ring, and the light come back on. Dundee & Graham started out strong against Sullivan, but Sullivan came back with a running forearm to Graham. Street tagged in and almost pinned Graham with The Daffodil. Street flirted with the referee while Miss Linda hit Graham with her spiked high heel boot. Street rolled up Graham with CRUCIFIX, but Graham kicked out. Street hit another CRUCIFIX. Dundee entered the ring, but Sullivan stopped him by spitting red mist into his eyes as the ref made the 3-count. Miss Linda entered y=the ring to raise the hands of her men. Thatcher: "These are the scariest, most bizarre individuals in Rebel Wrestling." Cornette: "I wouldn't want to meet any of them in a dark alley--especially Miss Linda. i think Motley Crue must've wrote the song 'Looks That Kill' about her." WINNER: The Freakshow(Adrian Street--0 fatigue & Kevin Sullivan--1 fatigue) beat Bill Dundee--0 fatigue & Mike Graham--2 fatigues when Street pinned Graham with CRUCIFIX
MATCH 3: "Boogie Woogie Man" Jimmy Valiant vs. Masked Superstar with Sir Oliver Humperdink & Masked Superstar II: Cappetta introduces Masked Superstar to boos, but the crowd erupts when they hear "Jim Dandy To The Rescue" by Black Oak Arkansas. Valiant dances down the aisle, and shakes hands with ringside fans. Valiant waves to the crowd when the bell rings, and Superstar hit Valiant with a double sledge to the back. Superstar weakened Valiant with a sleeper and Superstar Clothesline before finishing him off with COBRA HOLD. Thatcher: "Valiant made the mistake of turning his back on his opponent when the bell rang." Cornette: "You can't make mistakes against a wrestler the caliber of Masked Superstar." WINNER: Masked Superstar--0 fatigue submitted Jimmy Valiant--0 fatigue with COBRA HOLD

MATCH 4: Sam Houston vs. "Dangerous" Doug Gilbert: Both men are in the ring when Cappetta announces that this match is to determine the #1 Contender to Brad Armstrong's Jr. Heavyweight Championship. Armstrong joins Thatcher & Cornette at the announce table. Houston got in little offense as Gilbert dominated this match. Gilbert hit Houston with a DDT, sit-out bodyslam and neckbreaker--both in and out of the ring! Gilbert hit a top rope crossbody block out of the ring onto Houston. Houston was bleeding when Gilbert threw him back into the ring and hit TOP ROPE SHOULDER RAM for the win. Thatcher: "Doug Gilbert gets a shot at your title in 2 weeks, Brad." Armstrong: "I look forward to shutting his mouth once and for all." Cornette: "You won't look forward to it when you're on your back counting the ceiling lights." WINNER: Doug Gilbert--0 fatigue pinned Sam Houston--4 fatigues with TOP ROPE SHOULDER RAM to become #1 Contender to Brad Armstrong's Jr. Heavyweight Championship
Thatcher yells, "Decorum please!" as Rick Rude interrupts the show with a bold challenge to Bruiser Brody, the #1 Contender to the Rebel Wrestling World heavyweight Championship & "Mr. Saturday Night Special". Commissioner Charlie Cox comes out and tells Rude to find a partner because he's in the Main Event tonight against Brody and a partner of Brody's choosing!

BILL APTER'S "HOT SEAT" Apter: ""Please welcome Magnum T.A.!"(The crowd cheers as Magnum rides a motorcycle to the ring while Steppenwolf's "Born To be Wild" plays) Magnum: "Thanks for having me, Bill. it's a pleasure to be here." Apter: "That's a nice-looking motorcycle you rode in on." Magnum: "It sure is, Bill, and I'll be autographing it for an auction to benefit various children's charities throughout the South. You know I'd do anything for the kids, Bill. (Notices Bobby Shane entering the ring.)What do you want, Shane?" Shane: "I have a beef with the esteemed wrestling magazine editor, Mr. Apter. Tell me, Mr. Apter, why does your magazine rank this peasant ahead of me in its Top Ten?" Magnum: Watch who you're calling a peasant.(Shane punches Magnum, knocks Apter to the ground and runs away. Magnum checks on Apter and takes the microphone.)You like to attack an interviewer and then run away like a coward. I challenge you to a match next week where you can't run away--a Steel Cage Match!"(The crowd cheers wildly.)
MATCH 5: Dirty White Boys("Cowboy" Bob Orton & Bob Roop) vs. Love Brothers(Hartford & Reginald Love)with "Mouth Of The South" Jimmy Hart: Cappetta introduces the DWB to cheers as "Dirty White Boy" by Foreigner plays, but the Love Brothers storm the ring! they smash Orton & Roop into the turnbuckle post outside the ring. Reginald throws Roop into the ring to start the match. The Loves double-teamed Roop and later Orton, but the momentum shifted to the DWB when Roop hit SHOULDERBREAKER and Orton hit SUPERPLEX on the Loves. Reginald rolled out of the ring to escape Roop, but Roop hit a top rope crossbody block to the floor! Hart screamed into his megaphone, "Get up, Reggie, baby, get up!" But Reggie baby couldn't get up and was counted out. Thatcher: "The Dirty White Boys needed a win, and they'll take it anyway they can get it." Cornette: "The Love Brothers needed a win too--and they're still waiting for one." WINNER: Dirty White Boys("Cowboy" Bob Orton--3 fatigues & Bob Roop--1 fatigue) beat Love Brothers(Hartford Love--3 fatigues & Reginald Love--3 fatigues) by count-out when Reginald was counted out following a Roop top rope crossbody block onto Reginald out of the ring
MATCH 6: "Hacksaw" Jim Duggan with Rat Pack partners "Black Glove" Ted DiBiase & "Dr. Death" Steve Williams vs. "Hot Stuff" Eddie Gilbert with Fabulous Freebirds partners "Wildfire" Tommy Rich & Rebel Wrestling World Champion Terry "Bamm Bamm" Gordy: Duggan was in charge until he threw Gilbert into the ropes. Gilobert shocked Duggan with a flying crossbody and cover, but Duggan kicked out. gilbert later hit HOT SHOT for the win. DiBiase & Williams helped Duggan to the back while the Freebirds danced in the ring to "Badstreet, U.S.A.". Thatcher: "This is a big win for 'Hot Stuff' Eddie Gilbert and the Freebirds." Cornette: "And look at him moonwalk! You'd fall flat on your ass if you tried that, Thatcher!" WINNER: Eddie Gilbert--0 fatigue pinned Jim Duggan--1 fatigue with HOT SHOT
MATCH 7: Bruiser Brody & Mystery Partner vs. "Ravishing" Rick Rude & Mystery Partner with "Mouth Of The South" Jimmy Hart: Cappetta introduces Rude as "Smooth Operator" by Sade play. Rude stops in the aisle, and he's joined by Hart Foundation partner King Kong Bundy! They enter the ring, and Cappetta introduces Bruiser Brody as "The Immigrant Song" by Led Zeppelin plays. Brody stops in the aisle, and the song changes to "(Ghost) Riders in The Sky" by Johnny Cash. Blackjack Mulligan enters the arena as Brody's partner, and the fans cheer! Both teams were evenly matched. Bundy hit AVALANCHE on Mulligan who got his shoulder up. Bundy tried a bulldog, but Mulligan countered with a body slam. He tagged Brody who quickly hit JUMPING KNEEDROP. Rude made the save, but Brody hit another JUMPING KNEEDROP for the win! World Champ Terry Gordy walked out and held up 2 fingers. he said, "2 weeks" and pointed his finger at Brody. WINNER: Bruiser Brody--0 fatigue & Blackjack Mulligan--1 fatigue beat Rick Rude--0 fatigue & King Kong Bundy--1 fatigue when Brody pinned Bundy with JUMPING KNEEDROP Cornette: "We're only 2 weeks away from Gordy vs. Brody for the World Title." Glad you like it. I hope you get a kick out of the next show when Bill Apter interviews Adrian Street & Kevin Sullivan. I know you're a huge fan of the Exotic One. I hope to do a lot with both Street & Sullivan down the road, but a lot depends on what the dice have to say about it.

REBEL WRESTLING YEAR 1 Saturday Night Special 4: Augusta-Richmond County Civic Center--Augusta, Georgia
NON-TELEVISED OPENING MATCH Chuck Taylor vs. Savage-T with KJ Hill: The match started with Taylor on the middle turnbuckle yelling at a kid in the audience. Taylor turned around to a charging Savage-T who went for an armdrag, but Taylor blocked it and sent Savage-T into the turnbuckle. Taylor hit an enzuigiri for a 1-count. Savage -T was able to come back with a superkick and figure four leglock, but Taylor grabbed the ropes. It took 2 VERTIBREAKERS for Savage-T to put Taylor down for the 3-count. WINNER: Savage-T--1 fatigue pinned Chuck Taylor--3 fatigues with VERTIBREAKER

Jim Cornette: "We also have Ted DiBiase vs. Tommy Rich and The Grappler defends the TV Title against Tony ATlas. Let's go to Gary Michael Cappetta for tag team action."
MATCH 1: Soul Patrol("Birdman" Koko B. Ware & D'Lo Brown) vs. "Playboy" Buddy Rose & "Pretty Boy" Larry Sharpe: "I'm Too Sexy" by Right Said Fred plays as Rose & Sharpe make their way to the ring. They stop in front of some female fans in the front row. They dance & gyrate while the fans laugh--except for one obese Georgia Peach who joins them! They enter the ring as Cappetta announces their total combined weight of 546 lbs. Rose takes the mic and says, "We do not weigh 546 lbs. Our total combined weight is a slim, trim 474 lbs. Get it right, Cappetta!" (NOTE: I changed Rose's 271 to 217 and Sharpe's 275 to 257 to get the "correct" total combined weight) "Brick House" by The Commodores plays as the Soul Patrol dances to the ring. They stop in front of the same female fans, and the ladies all get up and dance--except for the obese Georgia Peach! They enter the ring, and Ware takes the mic to say, "He's bad, bad D'Lo Brown. baddest man in the whole damn town. badder than ol' King Kong. meaner than a junkyard dog." Brown takes the mic, bobs his head, and says, "You blubberbutts better recognize just who the Hell we are!" fans chant "Blubberbutt" as the bell rings. Soul Patrol kept Sharpe isolated in their corner. Brown hit 2 crossbody pin attempts, but Rose broke them up. Ware hit top rope dropkick for the win. Thatcher: "These fans are down with Brown & Birdman, the Sooouuul Patrol!" Cornette: "Shut up, Thatcher! You don't see Don Cornelius calling wrestling matches!" WINNER: Soul Patrol(Koko B. Ware--0 fatigue & D'Lo Brown--0 fatigue) beat Buddy Rose--0 fatigue & Larry Sharpe--2 fatigues when Ware pinned Sharpe with top rope dropkick
MATCH 2: REBEL WRESTLING TELEVISION CHAMPIONSHIP The Grappler(TV Champion)with "Mouth Of The South" Jimmy Hart vs. "Mr. USA" Tony Atlas: Cappetta introduces Grappler to boos and Atlas to cheers. Grappler seemed to have a counter for everything Atlas did. It looked like Atlas would win a test of strength, but Grappler hit a knee lift. he followed that up with a shoulderbreaker and a top rope crossbody for a 2-count. Grappler hit LOADED BOOT, but Atlas kicked out. Grappler quickly connected with LOADED BOOT again. This time there was no kicking out. Grappler wins again! Thatcher: "The undefeated Grappler successfully defends the TV Title." Cornette: "It's like Grappler says, he really is the best pure grappler in Rebel Wrestling." WINNER: Grappler--0 fatigue pinned Tony Atlas--2 fatigues with LOADED BOOT to retain the Rebel Wrestling Television Championship
MATCH 3: Dirty White Boys("Cowboy" Bob Orton & Bob Roop) vs. Heavenly Bodies(Chris Candido & Dr. Tom Prichard)with Tammy Sytch: The Bodies are in the ring when Cappetta introduces them to boos. The boos turn to cheers when Foreigner's "Dirty White Boy" plays as Cappetta introduces Orton & Roop. This was all DWB. they tagged in-and-out while the Bodies could only tag out on defense. Roop finally pinned Prichard with SHOULDERBREAKER. Thatcher: "The Dirty White Boys get a dominant win over the Heavenly Bodies." Cornette: "This is the Orton & Roop smash-mouth wrestling we've been waiting to see." WINNER: "Dirty White Boys("Cowboy" Bob Orton--0 fatigue & Bob Roop--0 fatigue) beat Heavenly Bodies(Chris Candido--3 fatigues & Tom Prichard--3 fatigues) when Roop pinned Prichard with SHOULDERBREAKER

MATCH 4: Blackjack Mulligan vs. Masked Superstar II with Sir Oliver Humperdink & Masked Superstar: Cappetta introduces MSII to boos. "(Ghost)Riders In The Sky" by Johnny Cash plays as Cappetta introduces Blackjack Mulligan to cheers. This was a battle between two powerful big men. Mulligan floored MSII with a lariat and body slam before applying CLAWHOLD. Humperdink distracted the referee, and MSII was able to get back on offense with a double arm suplex and reverse bear hug. Mulligan fought back and drew blood with another CLAWHOLD. Humperdink distracted Mulligan, but Mulligan chased Hump out of the ring and grabbed another CLAWHOLD to make the bloody MSII pass out! Thatcher: "Mulligan makes the larger MSII pass out from the CLAWHOLD." Cornette: "Mulligan's a definite threat to win a championship in Rebel Wrestling." WINNER: Blackjack Mulligan--0 fatigue submitted Masked Superstar II--4 fatigues with CLAWHOLD

BILL APTER'S "HOT SEAT" Apter: "My next guests are unique to say the least: Adrian Street & Kevin Sullivan, along with Miss Linda, Missing Link & Lord Zoltan, The Freakshow!(The lights go out, red strobe lights flash, and "Circus" by String Driven Thing plays as they all enter the ring and surround Apter. The lights come back on. Linda drapes a snake across Apter's shoulders. He's visibly uncomfortable.)This is without a doubt, one of the strangest groups in wrestling history. Why did you team up?" Street: "On paper, William, we may seem like an odd couple. But we have more in common than you think, William. Much more. Isn't that right, Linda, dear?"(She smiles and rubs Apter's head & chest seductively.) Apter: "Kevin, how did you convince Adrian & Linda to join your hedonistic cult of Devil worshipers?" Sullivan: "You can't judge an apple by looking at the tree. You can't judge honey by looking at the bee. You can't judge a daughter by looking at the mother, and you can't judge a book by the cover, so don't you judge me, Bill Apter! I worship the mighty & powerful Abudadein, the all-seeing & all-knowing Abudadein. He guided me to Adrian & Linda. They're here of their own free will. However, Link & Zoltan were lost souls before they became Disciples Of Abudadein. In fact, you may remember Missing Link by another name. He was formerly journeyman wrestler Dewey Robertson. he had no purpose until he turned his life over to Abudadein. Now look at him!(Link grabs a steel chair and bangs his head with it.) Zoltan is a mystery to all except Abudadein.(Zoltan spits red mist in the camera & throws a fireball into the air.)Beware, Bill. Next week, I'll unleash the Disciples Of Abudadein on Rebel Wrestling." Street: "Ha-Ha! Like a wise poet once said, William: Mama weer all crazee now! Ha-Ha-Ha-Ha!" Apter: "But what are your goals in Rebel Wrestling: to win the Tag Team Titles or something else?" Sullivan: "Hmmm...something else...I like the sound of that, Bill. Thanks for the great idea. Ha-Ha!" Street: "Greed is for amateurs. Disorder, Chaos, anarchy--now that's fun! Hell's coming to rebel Wrestling, Sunshine. Bloody Hell, that is."(The strobe lights & music starts. Street takes the snake off Apter, and then he tickles Apter's chin. Street & Linda kiss Apter's cheeks simultaneously while Sullivan laughs maniacally. they all leave a bemused Apter alone in the ring.)
MATCH 5: "Black Glove" Ted DiBiase with Rat Pack partners "Dr. Death" Steve Williams & "Hacksaw" Jim Duggan vs. "Wildfire" Tommy Rich with fabulous Freebirds partners Rebel Wrestling World Champion terry "Bamm Bamm" Gordy & "Hot Stuff" Eddie Gilbert: Cappetta introduces Rich & the Birds to "Badstreet, U.S.A." and DiBiase & the Rat Pack to "Bad reputation" by Joan Jett & The Blackhearts. DiBiase repeatedly slapped Rich. Rich threw him into the turnbuckle, but DiBiase moved when Rich charged at him. Rich crashed into the turnbuckle, and DiBiase rolled him up for a 2-count. DiBiase threw Rich out of the ring and climbed to the top rope. DiBiase jumped to the floor, but Rich punched DiBiase and threw him back into the ring. DiBiase Kicked out of THESZ PRESS and broke out of WILDFIRE SLEEPER, but he fell victim to a top rope crossbody block. Rich gets his hand raised in victory! Thatcher: "Tommy Rich gets a win for the Freebirds over one of the Rat Pack." Cornette: "I don't know if anyone can stop the Fabulous Freebirds." WINNER: Tommy Rich--1 fatigue pinned Ted DiBiase--2 fatigues with top rope crossbody block
MATCH 6: REBEL WRESTLING WORLD TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP Fantastics(Bobby Fulton & Tommy Rogers)(Tag Team Champions) vs. Southern Rockers("Southern Boy" Tracy Smothers & "Midnight Rocker" Marty Jannetty): Cappetta introduces the Southern Rockers as "Train, Train" by Blackfoot plays. Cappetta introduces the Fantastics as "Sharp Dressed Man" by ZZ Top plays. The fans cheer both teams. Jannetty was in control to start the match. he tagged Smothers who quickly got double-teamed by the Fantastics. They hit ROCKET LAUNCHER, and Rogers pinned Smothers while Fulton stopped Jannetty from breaking it up. Both teams shook handas, and the Southern Rockers left the ring. The Fantastics were celebrating when they were jumped from behind by two bearded men in camouflage pants: Luke Williams & Butch Miller--The Sheepherders! The Sheepherders wrapped chains around their fists and punched the Fantastics until they drew blood. the Southern Rockers returned with chairs and the Sheepherders left the ring. Thatcher: "What are the Sheepherders doing here? they just ambushed the Fantastics!" Cornette: They didn't just ambush the Fantastics. they bushwhacked 'em!" WINNER: Fantastics(Bobby Fulton--0 fatigue & Tommy Rogers--0 fatigue) beat Southern Rockers(Tracy Smothers--2 fatigues & Marty Jannetty--0 gatigue) when Rogers pinned Smothers after ROCKET LAUNCHER from Fulton to retain the Rebel Wrestling World Tag Team Championship
MATCH 7: Magnum T.A. vs. "King Of Wrestling" Bobby Shane in a STEEL CAGE: Shane tried to talk Commissioner Charlie Cox into cancelling the match. Cox said, "If you're not happy here, then you're free to leave and security will be more than happy to show you the door." Shane reluctantly and slowly walked down the aisle to Queen's "Princes Of The Universe". He didn't have his usual swagger. He was looking at the ominous steel cage. He knew that managers weren't allowed at ringside during cage matches so he wouldn't have Sir Oliver Humperdink to help him. He entered the cage knowing that he was on his own. The crowds' boos for Shane quickly turned to cheers when they heard Steppenwolf's "Born To be Wild". Magnum T.A. walked quickly down the aisle slapping the outstretched hands of the fans. He was smiling the whole time, but when he saw Shane standing inside the steel cage, his grin got even bigger! he enterd the cage just as Cappetta was introducing the participants. Magnum glared intently at Shane who visibly gulped. The King of Wrestling was scared to death as he watched cappetta leave the ring. The referee slammed the cage door shut and locked it. Then he called for the bell. The massacre...I mean, the match was on! Shane tried to climb the cage wall, but Magnum pulled him back into the ring and threw him into the turnbuckle. Magnum charged the corner, but Shane moved out of the way, and Magnum crashed into the turnbuckle! He fell backwards, and Shane rolled him up for a pin, but Magnum kicked out. Shane rammed Magnum's head into the cage wall before executing a rolling reverse cradle with a backbridge, but Magnum kicked out again. Shane rubbed Magnum's face into the cage wall, hit a bulldog, then a loaded knee smash to the head, and finally JAPANESE SLEEPER. magnum backed Shane into the cage to break the hold. Shane missed a standing dropkick, but Magnum connected with a series of dropkicks of his own. He locked on abdominal stretch, but Shane wouldn't submit. Magnum hit an atomic drop and more dropkicks. he covered Shane who kicked out. Magnum sent Shane into the ropes and caught him with a big BELLY TO BELLY SUPLEX for the win. WINNER: Magnum T.A.--3 fatigues pinned Bobby Shane--2 fatigues with BELLY TO BELLY SUPLEX in a Steel Cage Cornette: "The People's Champion, Magnum T.A., stands tall over the fallen King Bobby Shane." Keep up the wild action. Really liked the main event. If you liked Magnum vs. Shane in a cage, just wait until Gordy vs. Brody for the World Title. I hope to have that posted tomorrow afternoon.
