Awesome action so far. Love that Bobby Shane has done so well. He has been on fire for me in my B&W fed. The King Of Wrestling's been a pleasant surprise. I don't know what shocked me more. Beating Magnum T.A. cleanly or getting past "Dr. Death" Steve Williams by DQ. He'll definitely be a factor in World Title, TV Title & even Jr. Heavyweight Title matches.

Hey topdollar! Just caught up on all. Really great things going on here. Really enjoyed the tourneys and especially the 30 man battle royal. "Mr. Saturday Night Special" aka Bruiser Brody - now that was the apex of it all so far for me. Bruiser Brody is the next World Champ! Great stuff.

Glad you're enjoying it, Bri. I got the idea to call Brody "Mr. Saturday Night Special" because I grew up watching Wrestling At The Chase from St. Louis every Sunday morning, and he did a promo where he dropped to his knees and called himself the "Sunday Morning Man". I haven't had a chance to play out the second SNS, but these questions WILL be answered.... Why did Terry Gordy & Eddie Gilbert attack "Dr. Death" Steve Williams when Doc congratulated Gordy on winning the World Title? What does this mean for Gilbert's Hot 'n' Nasty tag team with Angelo Mosca(not to mention Hot Stuff International stablemates Ivan Koloff & Mr. Saito)? How will Williams, Ted DiBiase & "Hacksaw" Jim Duggan respond after the beatdown Gordy & Gilbert gave the Rat Pack? Why did Tommy Rich turn on his long-time friend & TNT partner Tony Atlas to join Gordy & Gilbert? What is the significance of the Rebel Flag that Gilbert & Rich held up as Gordy held the World Title when the show went off the air? These questions will ALL be answered at the beginning of the next episode of Rebel Wrestling's Saturday Night Special!(cue the music)

REBEL WRESTLING YEAR 1 Saturday Night Special 2: Macon Coliseum--Macon, Georgia
NON-TELEVISED OPENING MATCH J.J. Dillon vs. "Big Rig" Brodie Lee: Both men battled in and out of the ring--at one point risking a double disqualification, but the ref let them fight. Dillon's top rope clothesline weakened Lee, but it took 3 ELBOW DROPS for Dillon to put Lee down for the 3-count. WINNER: J.J> Dillon--0 fatigue pinned Brodie Lee--3 fatigues with ELBOW DROP
SATURDAY NIGHT SPECIAL (HOUR 1) Les Thatcher: "Tonight, we have two-rematches from the first Midnight Special: Bill Dundee vs. The Grappler and Magnum T.A. vs. Bobby Shane. Our Main Event is Tony Atlas vs. Tommy Rich." Jim Cornette: "Rebel Wrestling World Champion Terry 'Bamm Bamm' Gordy, 'Hot Stuff' Eddie Gilbert & 'Wildfire' Tommy Rich are on their way to the ring for Bill Apter's Hot Seat."
BILL APTER"S "HOT SEAT" (Gordy, Gilbert & Rich enter the ring to Lynyrd Skynyrd's "Free Bird". Most fans are booing, but some are cheering & waving Rebel Flags) Apter: "Gentlemen, why did you viciously attack 'Dr. Death' Steve Williams, 'Black Glove' Ted DiBiase & 'Hacksaw' Jim Duggan last week?" Gordy: "It's quite simple, Bill. Doc's jealous of me--always has been, and I did something he couldn't--beat Bobby Shane. I knew he'd come out to the ring to steal my spotlight so we were ready for him. His Rat Pack pals DiBiase & Duggan got involved, and they got exactly what they deserved. They're not the best six-man tag team around here. We are!" Apter: "Wait a minute. Are you saying the attack was premeditated?" Gilbert: "Congratulations, Apter, you're not as dumb as you look. Terry wanted Tommy & me to be in his corner during the World Title Tournament, and he'd be in our corner for the Tag Team Tournament. But the promoters were scared of how dangerous we'd be as a unit so they kept us apart. They forced me to manage Angelo Mosca, Ivan Koloff & Mr. Saito as Hot Stuff International. Then Commissioner Charlie Cox entered me in the tag tourney with that disgusting tobacco-chewing Mosca as Hot 'n' Nasty. I don't need them so I didn't renew their passports. They've been deported!" Apter: "Tommy, why did you turn on your long-time friend Tony Atlas?" Rich: "I've known these men longer than I've known Atlas. We're Tennessee born and Tennessee bred, and when we die, we'll be Tennessee dead. besides, I carried Atlas on my back when we first formed TNT. I'll be damned if I was gonna carry his ass again!" Apter: "Why did Rich & Gilbert hold up a Rebel Flag when you raised the World Title?" Gordy: "Isn't it obvious, Bill? I was once part of the first group of rebels in wrestling. Eddie & Tommy were once called the 'new' Fabulous Ones, and I'm the 'original' Freebird. So from now on we're the Fabulous Freebirds. Individually we may be from Tennessee, but as a group, we were born & raised on the bad streets of Atlanta, GA, so hit our new music!" ("Badstreet, U.S.A." plays as Gordy & Rich climb the turnbuckles. Gilbert moonwalks...right into Duggan's 2x4. The rat Pack are in the ring behind the Freebirds! Duggan hits Gilbert with the 2x4. DiBiase pulls Rich off the turnbuckle and punches him with a LOADED GLOVE. Doc pulls Gordy off the turnbuckle and head butts him with a football helmet. The Freebirds run out of the ring!)
MATCH 1: "Dr. Death" Steve Williams vs. "Hot Stuff" Eddie Gilbert: Gilbert threw a FIREBALL at Doc last week so Commissioner Charlie Cox made this the first match this week. The Rat Pack & Fabulous Freebirds are still at ringside after their Hot Seat confrontation. Gary Michael Cappetta introduces both men. Doc was all over Gilbert from the opening bell and gets quick revenge with OKLAHOMA STAMPEDE. Gordy & Rich pull Gilbert out of the ring and go to the back as Doc celebrates with DiBiase & Duggan. Thatcher: "The Rat Pack shows that they won't back down from the Freebirds." Cornette: "Doc may have won this battle, but the war is like Frank Stallone's song--Far From Over." WINNER: Steve Williams--0 fatigue pinned Eddie Gilbert--0 fatigue with OKLAHOMA STAMPEDE
MATCH 2: Southern Rockers("Southern Boy" Tracy Smothers & "Midnight Rocker" Marty Jannetty) vs. Heavenly Bodies(Chris Candido & Dr. Tom Prichard) with Tammy Sytch: Cappetta introduces both teams and announces that the Southern Rockers are the #1 Contenders to the Rebel Wrestling World tag Team Championship. thatcher informs viewers that the Heavenly Bodies injured Lanny Poffo last week. As a result, Lanny Poffo and his father Angelo have decided to leave Rebel Wrestling. Cornette says, "Lanny's big mouth wrote a check that his ass couldn't cash!" Smothers & Jannetty showed why they're the top contenders to the Fantastics' belts. They double-teamed the team that destroyed Lanny Poffo last week. they bloodied Prichard before Jannetty hit Candido with a top rope fistdrop and dropkick for the win. Thatcher: "Are the Southern Rockers the team that'll beat the Fantastics?" Cornette: "Both teams have a similar style. It'll be a fun match to watch." WINNER: Southern Rockers(Tracy Smothers--0 fatigue & Marty Jannetty--0 fatigue) beat Heavenly Bodies(Chris Candido--2 fatigues & Tom Prichard--5 fatigues) when Jannetty pinned Candido with dropkick
MATCH 3: TV Champ The Grappler with "Mouth Of The South" Jimmy Hart vs. "Superstar" Bill Dundee: Grappler's already in the ring when Cappetta announces that this is a Non-Title Match. "I'm No Angel" by Gregg Allmann plays to cheers as Dundee enters the ring. Thatcher reminds viewers that Grappler upset Dundee in the first round of the TV Title Tournament. Dundee got in little offense in a match that was dominated by Grappler. Grappler put Dundee down with LOADED BOOT before finishing him off with a perfect top rope crossbody block. Thatcher: 'Grappler beats Dundee once again." Cornette: "Dundee now moves to the back of the line." WINNER: Grappler--0 fatigue pinned Bill Dundee--3 fatigues with top rope crossbody block
END OF HOUR 1. STAY TUNED FOR HOUR 2

REBEL WRESTLING YEAR 1 Saturday Night Special 2: Macon Coliseum--Macon, Georgia
SATURDAY NIGHT SPECIAL(HOUR 2)
MATCH 4: "Bullet" Bob Armstrong & Jr. Heavyweight Champion Brad Armstrong vs. Tommy Gilbert & "Dangerous" Doug Gilbert: Cappetta introduces the Gilberts to boos & the Armstrongs to cheers. Thatcher said this feud started because the Gilberts think that they're the First Family Of Southern Wrestling and not the Armstrongs. Cornette said the feud started when Brad injured Doug after their first round tournament match. Doug repeatedly kicked out of Brad's RUSSIAN LEGSWEEP. Doug later buster open Bob with TOP ROPE SHOULDER RAM. Doug tagged Tommy who finished off Bob with BACK SUPLEX for the win. Doug grabbed Cappetta's microphone and demanded that Commissioner Cox name him #1 Contender to the Jr. Heavyweight Title. Cox came out and told Doug that he'll have to fight tournament finalist Sam Houston next week. Whoever wins the match cleanly gets a title shot. Thatcher: "Sam Houston vs. Doug Gilbert next week on Saturday Night Special." Cornette: "Doug's on a mission to unseat Brad Armstrong as Jr. Heavyweight Champion." WINNER: Tommy Gilbert--0 fatigue & Doug Gilbert--3 fatigues beat Bob Armstrong--4 fatigues & Brad Armstrong--0 fatigue when Tommy pinned Bob with BACK SUPLEX
MATCH 5: Magnum T.A. vs. "King Of Wrestling" Bobby Shane with Sir Oliver Humperdink: Cappetta introduces Shane to boos as Queen's "Princes Of The Universe" plays. Steppenwolf's "Born To be Wild" plays as Cappetta introduces Magnum to cheers. Thatcher reminds viewers that Shane put Magnum to sleep and made him bow down to The King after their first match. Shane took the fight to Magnum at the opening bell, but when they took the fight outside the ring, Magnum took over by ramming Shane's head into the ringside announce table. Magnum says, "I just crowned The King!", and tossed Shane back into the ring for BELLY TO BELLY SUPLEX. Shane kicked out, but Magnum whipped Shane into the ropes for another BELLY TO BELLY SUPLEX. Humperdink tried to interfere, but Magnum whipped Shane into his manager for a big collision! Then Magnum grabbed Shane for another BELLY TO BELLY SUPLEX for the win. Thatcher: "The fans are cheering for the victorious Magnum T.A." Cornette: "Bobby Shane had a great run in the World Title Tournament, but now he has to regroup." WINNER: "Magnum T.A.--) fatigue pinned Bobby Shane--2 fatigues with BELLY TO BELLY SUPLEX
MATCH 6: Dirty White Boys("Cowboy" Bob Orton & Bob Roop) vs. House Of Humperdink(Ox Baker & One Man Gang) with Sir Oliver Humperdink: Cappetta introduces both teams as Thatcher reminds viewers that Roop accidentally eliminated Orton from last week's Battle Royal, and Baker accidentally eliminated One Man Gang from the Battle Royal. Cornette says both teams need to be on the same page tonight. Orton & Roop got in some offense, but they couldn't get the larger Baker and Gang down on the mat. Hump's men looked dominant. Baker threw Orton out of the ring and climbed to the top turnbuckle. baker crushed Orton with a falling crossbody block! Orton was badly hurt, and he couldn't make it back into the ring to beat the referee's 10-count. he was counted out. Thatcher: "Baker & Gang look like a force to be reckoned with in the tag team division." Cornette: "While the Dirty White Boys are still struggling to find their way." WINNER: House Of Humperdink(Ox Baker--0 fatigue & One Man Gang--0 fatigue) beat Dirty White Boys("Cowboy" Bob Orton--3 fatigues & Bob Roop--0 fatigue) by count-out when Orton was counted out following a Baker top rope crossbody block onto Orton out of the ring
MATCH 7: "Mr. USA" Tony Atlas vs. "Wildfire" Tommy Rich: Cappetta announces that Commissioner Charlie Cox has banned Terry Gordy & Eddie Gilbert from ringside. Cappetta announces Rich to mostly boos and Atlas to mostly cheers. Atlas takes Cappetta's mic. Atlas: "Tommy, what the Hell's wrong with you, man? I called you my friend...my brother! You say you carried me? That's a load of bull(bleep), and you know it! You should change your name from 'Wildfire' to 'Wild Turkey' because you have to be drinking a lot of fire water if you think you carried my ass! At least I've got you one-on-one without your jive turkey buddies, 'Hot Mess' Eddie Gilbert & Terry 'Bamm Bamm' Gordy...no, that ain't right. What was the name of that other kid on 'The Flintstones'?(crowd yells 'Pebbles')That's right. 'Pebbles' Gordy. he and 'Hot Mess' ain't gonna be able to help you tonight. Now ring the damn bell!"(Throws the mic down as the bell rings) Atlas charges Rich, but Rich gets the early advantage with an armdrag, fireman's carry, and headlock takeover. Atlas takes control with a big dropkick, jumping headbutt, and top rope clothesline. He hits PRESS SLAM AND SPLASH, but Rich was barely able to kick out. Atlas hit another PRESS SLAM AND SPLASH for the win. Now that the match was over, Gordy & Gilbert hit the ring to jump Atlas, but the Rat Pack wasn't far behind! The Freebirds leave the ring and start their way up the aisle where the #1 Contender to Gordy's Rebel Wrestling World Title is standing. Bruiser Brody looks Gordy in the eyes abd says, "3 weeks" referring to their World Title match in Greenville, SC. WINNER: Tony Atlas--0 fatigue pinned Tommy Rich--3 fatigues with PRESS SLAM AND SPLASH Cornette: "Atlas gets a small measure of revenge on Rich, and Brody lets Gordy know what's waiting for him in 3 weeks in Greenville, South Carolina." Thatcher: "Join us again next week for Jim Duggan vs. Eddie Gilbert on Saturday Night Special."

Really enjoyed Tony Atlas's promo and victory over Wildfire topdollar! Lots of great action going on here. Awesome to see a "Freebirds" six man tag team in action here. The House of Humperdink is a ton of trouble for all to say the least. But out of all - hoping for Mr. Saturday Night to face Terry Gordy for the RW World Title. That should be a hell of a match. Great job man!
