Lance Russell & Les Thatcher welcome viewers to the show. Our Main Event is Continental Tag Team Champions Original Midnight Express vs. Moondogs. Also: Tracy Smothers vs. Bob Roop, and Dirty White Boy vs. Sputnik Monroe. But up first is a rematch for the Southern Television Championship!
Southern Television Champion Billy Wicks--0 fatigue vs. Thunderbolt Patterson--0 fatigue: Wicks beat Patterson for the Southern TV Title earlier in the week on Rebel Wrestling Florida Sunday Night Superstars. That territory uses Vintage Rules, but the rematch here in Mid-America uses normal rules! Patterson grabbed ring announcer Gary Michael Cappetta by the collar and threatened him, but Wicks saved the day and attacked Patterson! The bell rang to start the match, and Wicks quickly locked on DOUBLE WRISTLOCK. Patterson screamed in pain as he immediately submitted! WINNER: Southern Television Champion Billy Wicks
Les Thatcher--7 fatigue & Brian Blair--2 fatigue vs. First Family(Tom Prichard--1 fatigue & Koko Ware--3 fatigue)w/Jimmy Hart: Thatcher leaves the announce table to join Blair for this match. Ware busted open Thatcher with brainbuster for a near-fall. First Family double teamed Thatcher to make the bleeding worse before Prichard finally put Thatcher down for the 3-count with slingshot suplex. Blair helped Thatcher to the back because he needs stitches for his head wound! WINNER: First Family
"Boogie Woogie Man" Jimmy Valiant--5 fatigue vs. "Exotic" Adrian Street--5 fatigue w/Jimmy Hart: "Progressive Liberal" Daniel Richards joined Lance Russell at the announce table for the rest of the show. Street lost the Continental Title to Austin Idol last week, and the "Exotic One" looked like he was off his game tonight. Valiant had Street pinned with BOOGIE WOOGIE ELBOW, but Hart distracted the referee. Hart's megaphone fell in the ring, and Valiant grabbed it. He smashed Street with it to draw blood, but that lit a fire under Street. He fought back and made Valiant bleed. Street applied London Bridge Leglock to pin "Boogie Woogie Man" for a hard-fought come from behind victory! WINNER: "Exotic" Adrian Street
Fabulous Ones(Steve Keirn--0 fatigue & Stan Lane--3 fatigue)w/Jackie Fargo vs. Sheepherders(Luke Williams--4 fatigue & Butch Miller--1 fatigue): Teddy Long has assigned referee James Beard to officiate this match. The teams fought back and forth, but Keirn pinned a bloody Williams after DOUBLE DDT with Lane! WINNER: Fabulous Ones
Tracy Smothers--4 fatigue vs. Bob Roop--0 fatigue: Roop dominated the match, and he drew blood with SHOULDERBREAKER for a near-fall. Roop threw Smothers into the ropes and went for a back body drop, but Smothers grabbed Roop for a piledriver. Smothers quickly hit JAWJACKER that stunned Roop for the 1-2-3. Smothers continued to attack Roop after the bell, and Sputnik Monroe stormed the ring to stop Smothers, but it's too late as the damage is done. Roop is injured for 1 fight card, and Monroe challenged Smothers to a match next week to get revenge for Roop! WINNER: Tracy Smothers
Six-Man Tag Team Champions Fabulous Freebirds(Terry Gordy--4 fatigue, Eddie Gilbert--0 fatigue & Tommy Rich--0 fatigue) vs. Stud Stable(Continental Champion Austin Idol--0 fatigue, Dutch Mantell--6 fatigue & James Storm--0 fatigue): They fought back and forth, but a bloody Gordy pinned a heavily bleeding Mantell with PILEDRIVER in the end. Idol & Storm were helping Mantell to the back when they passed Dirty White Boy & Candi Divine who were headed for the ring. Storm tells Candi, "Why don't you dump that boy for a real man like me?". Candi slaps Storm who says, "How dare you strike me!". He raises a fist, but DWB punches Storm and knocks him on his ass! Idol yells at Storm to get up and help him take Mantell to the back while DWB & Candi continue walking to the ring!
Dirty White Boy--2 fatigue w/"Dirty White Girl" Candi Divine vs. Sputnik Monroe--0 fatigue: DWB was obviously distracted because of the altercation in the aisle between Candi & James Storm. Monroe easily pinned DWB with atomic drop. After the match, Monroe challenged his old rival Billy Wicks to defend the Southern Television Title against him at Southern Sin. Wicks came out and agreed to the pay-per-view match, but it'll be a Vintage Rules Match! WINNER: Sputnik Monroe
Continental Tag Team Champions Original Midnight Express(Dennis Condrey--0 fatigue & Randy Rose--0 fatigue) vs. Moondogs(Rex--3 fatigue & Spot--0 fatigue)w/Jimmy Hart: Moondogs never lost the titles in the ring. They were stripped of the titles when they were suspended for injuring Steve Keirn, and Original Midnights won the vacant titles. Condrey & Rose dominated Rex. Condrey had Rex pinned with backbreaker, but Spot attacked Condrey from behind. Moondogs double teamed Condrey and got disqualified. Rose tried to help, but he got double teamed too. Rex & Spot grabbed their bones and smashed Condrey & Rose with them, but Austin Idol ran out to help his Stud Stable teammates! Idol was getting the better of Moondogs until their First Family teammate Adrian Street hit Idol from behind. All six men were brawling as the show went off the air! WINNER: Continental Tag Team Champions Original Midnight Express by disqualification
