Anybody else here see Venom this weekend? If so, what did you think?
I saw it tonight because Venom is one of my favorite MARVEL characters. Although I would not compare it to this year's Black Panther or Infinity War, I did not think it was nearly as bad as the reviews it has been given (32% on Rotten Tomatoes?) and it was definitely better than the recent Fantastic Four movies IMO. I particularly liked the interactions between Eddie Brock and Venom and how Venom was used as an anti-hero in this film. I hope the sequel that is being teased during the credits happens.

Don't want to be a killjoy . I wanted to see , since I saw poster months ago . But after seeing the trailer , I was put off just seems so far fetched for me ?

I liked Venom better than the 2 Amazing Spider-Man movies with Lizard & Electro as the villains, but I may be in the minority.

Don't want to be a killjoy . I wanted to see , since I saw poster months ago . But after seeing the trailer , I was put off just seems so far fetched for me ? What could possibly be far fetched about an alien symbiote coming to earth, consuming the body of a New York reporter and then doing battle with another human-symbiote combo. Sounds like a typical day at the office to me. I'm seeing it tonight. I'll post thoughts after I see it. Trying to keep my hopes a bit low so I can still have a good time with it. |

Just looked far fetched to me\us (wife) Just giving you a hard time.  I did end up seeing the movie on Thursday. Definitely some cheesy moments/dialogue and a scene or two where the CGI is overdone. Other than that I thought it was a good time. Won't win any awards and I REALLY wish Venom was a part of the MCU but if you can turn your brain off for a couple hours, there's some fun to be had. |
