The roster announcement kinda reminded me of how everyone got excited over the Global Force roster press conference a few years ago and it kinda turned out to be a bust. We already knew The Elite and SCU were on the roster, so no real shock (or reason for me to be excited) there. MJF and Janela are two guys I don't enjoy watching, so I wasn't exactly thrilled with their signing. Jericho's a big name but like...what are you really gonna do with him? A rematch of the shit show with Kenny from last year? You gonna try to fill a 17k seat building with Cody vs. Jericho? PAC is a wrestler I like, but there's no real interesting matchups on this roster outside of StrongHearts, but he's worked some of those guys during his previous Dragon Gate run. Britt Baker and Penelope Ford are two signings, I guess. There's not a whole lot of talent out there, but that's not a great start for the roster. Also, the constant shots at WWE is basically the entire identity of the Elite and I get that, but you can't talk about how you're fighting the machine when the people bankrolling your company have more money than Vince. According to someone on Twitter who spoke to an official from OWE, AEW apparently did land TV. The equal pay thing is interesting, does this mean Britt Baker is going to make as much as Jericho or how does that even work?Anyway, I'm happy for those who are excited, but this didn't exactly change my perspective on the promotion at hand. If anything, it kind of does reaffirm my belief that it's just going to be All In: The Promotion and I've got no interest in that. I read somewhere that the "Equal Pay" thing won't mean that everyone is making Jericho money, but guys and girls will both start at the same base salary when they first sign with AEW. At least it's a start in the right direction and if the women move up the card quicker then they should be able to demand more money based on that position.

yeah he qualified it with saying equal pay for their position on the card.

The Revival and the Kanelis’ want out of Stanford. They must be crazy for not embarrassing themselves for what is probably the same amount of $ The Khans can pay them. #AEW

The Revival would probably have better luck someplace else. I think the Kanelis family has already overachieved, though.

I'm not sure Revival would even be people that AEW would really go....I could see Mike and Maria if Mike is hoping to achieve higher but he's been coasting on Maria's looks forever.

Right now, I don't see the WWE releasing anyone they think would be potentially valuable to the competition, be it Impact, ROH, or AEW. The last thing they want is a repeat of what happened when Eric Bischoff released Steve Austin.
I also don't think AEW would want to make the bush league move of signing anyone and everyone who gets released from the WWE.

The Bucks are gonna need more than SCU to wrestle tho. And the Revival vs Bucks would be awesome. I thought that they were one of the best things in NXT while they were there. Maybe cuz Tully & Arn were my favorite team. I liked Bennet, so even if it’s ROH (Something w or against the Kingdom) it’ll be better than what he’s been doing for awhile. They need more teams for sure.

I keep forgetting Mike & Maria are with WWE. The Revival should leave and go to Japan and build up. I think Gallows & Anderson should go AEW. they and so many tag teams are wasted or ruined in wwe. Smackdown tag team title match at Rumble is the Bar vs. Miz & Shane...why? at least six tag teams and they've managed to write them as jokes, bad angles and not even bothering to book. I think when AEW gets its TV deal you will see several walk outs from WWE, ROH, Impact but time will tell

I agree. It’s gonna be fun! Dirt sheets and rumors about where guys are going. Gonna be the closest we got to the Monday Night Era for that stuff. I’m sure Vince won’t let any of the guys go who are asking for their release (sans Goldust possibly), but it’s hopeful. Gallows & Anderson would be nice too, but I think I heard September for their contracts. How we get Shane & Miz, Roode & Gable & Hardy & Wyatt, but The Revival, The Club or Authors of Pain can’t buy a win. Stupid.

Also, hoping the combination of AEW and a 2 billion dollar tv deal makes them (WWE) reaccess things and put out a better product. Too many talented athletes there for the show to suck that bad on a weekly basis. The more good wrestling the better.
