Great shows again, joebreakdown! There must be something about Southern promoters being biased against the Heavenly Bodies because Rebel Wrestling officials seem to have it in for them too. I'll be offline until after Christmas so I'm counting on you to keep the Southern 'Rasslin' action going. I'm going to have to step up my game just to keep up with you.

SECW WRESTLING: CARD XII (Lincoln County High School, Shinston WV)
South East Championship Wrestling makes a stop in Shinston, West Virginia for a six-match card, headlined by Tag Team Champions The Sheepherders taking on PG-13 in a non-title match up. 1. The opening match sees fan-favourite Sam Houston take on newcomer and Jack Hart. The cocky Hart, a native of Florida takes it to the lanky Houston and hits a snap-suplex for a near fall. Hart argues with the referee who he feels is showing favouritism towards his opponent and his lack of cool loses him the match. A knee lift followed by a bulldog hands Sam Houston the victory and the crowd and buzzing. Winner: Sam Houston
Ringside announcer Charlie Platt is with ‘Bullet’ Bob Armstrong who is delighted to be here in South Eastern. He’s aiming for gold but first, he wants to take on ‘all the rule breakers and trouble makers out there.’ He is interrupted by The Grappler, who gets in Armstrong’s face as he makes his way to the ring for the next match. 2. The Grappler is in a foul mood and he attempts to take it out on Tracy Smothers, but the man from Tennessee matches his opponent move for move, frustrating him along the way. The Grappler struggles to get a hold of Smothers but a missed corner charge leaves Smothers in trouble. As The Grappler attempts to load the boot, Bob Armstrong makes his way to ringside and gets the referee’s attention. As The Grappler argues with Armstrong. Smothers hits a jaw-jacker out of nowhere and picks up the victory. Winner: Tracy Smothers
3. Tag action next as The Gilberts ( Tommy and son Doug) make very short work of Rock Riddle and the masked Mr X. Doug Gilbert blasts X with a top rope shoulder charge for the quick win. After the match, Tommy Gilbert challenges the Heavenly Bodies to a match in Sneedsville, TN next week. Will they accept? Winners: The Gilberts
4. Brad Armstong made his debut in Castlewood, VA a couple of weeks ago and was upset by the rugged Johnny Mantell. Tonight, he is out for revenge and he looks very impressive, exciting the crowd with his speed, skill and agility. The Russian Leg Sweep finishes off Mantell. Armstrong will be looking to move up the ladder and challenge for Jimmy Snuka’s Heavyweight Championship soon. Winner: Brad Armstrong
It is announced the DCW World’s Heavyweight Champion, Harley Race will be visiting the territory in two weeks’ time when South Eastern visits the Montgomery Civic Center in Alabama. Race will be taking on SECW Heavyweight Champion, Jimmy Snuka in what is sure to be an explosive encounter! 5. Bob Roop is often dominating, cruel and vindictive in the ring and tonight is no exception as he dismantles fiery rookie Soul Train Jones. However, his over-confidence costs him dearly after he tosses Jones out of the ring. Roop throws Jones into the guard rail and goes in for the kill but the Soul Train tips Roop over with a back body drop and scrambles back into the ring, beating the ten-count and leaving Roop fuming on the ring floor. A huge upset! Winner: Soul Train Jones
6. The Main Event tag team encounter between The Sheephearders ( Luke Williams & Butch Miller) vs PG-13 ( Wolfie D & JC Ice) is an all-out war as the referee loses control early on. Williams and Miller trap Wolfie D and punish him with vicious clubbing blows and double team moves but Ice is able to continually save his partner. Miller hits a running knee on Wolfie and a double sledge gets another near fall before Wolfie makes the hot tag and Ice unloads with some odd-looking martial arts moves. The Sheepherders are rocked and just as it looks like the tide is turning, Williams grabs a chair from ringside and cracks Ice across the back. Whack! The ref calls for the bell and seeing that they’ve been disqualified, both Miller and Williams see no reason to stop the assault as they pulverize their smaller and younger opponents. The brutal attack continues until Bob & Brad Armstrong along with Sam Houston hit the ring- causing The Sheepherders to back down. It looks like PG-13 are going to need some medical attention. Winners: PG-13 (via DQ) Next up, we’re at Richwood Junior High School in Sneedsville, TN with another stacked card. The Gilberts are looking to face The Heavenly Bodies is what promises to be a fab encounter, if Dr Tom Prichard and ‘Casanova’ Chris Candido decide to accept. Barry Windham is booked to appear, as are The Grappler, Sam Houston & ‘Bullet’ Bob Armstrong, plus ‘Boogie Woogie Man’ will be making his return after his recent injury. It promises to be a great night of wrestling!

SECW WRESTLING: CARD XIII (Richwood Junior High School, Sneedsville, TN)
The Sneedsville crowd are in great voice for tonight’s South Eastern spot show. Merch is flying off the table as teenage girls scramble to buy 8 x10s of pin-ups such as Brad Armstrong, Sam Houston, Tracy Smothers and…er, Jimmy Valiant? ‘Mercy, Daddy!’ Let’s get straight down to ringside for the action. 1. Manhattan Transfer’s ‘Boy From New York City’ pumps out of the tinny high school P.A and the fans become unglued as ‘Boogie Woogie Man’ Jimmy Valiant struts his stuff on the way to the ring. Waiting for him is Rock Riddle whose win/loss records speaks for itself. Riddle clubbers away on Valiant and steals an early march, but a series of elbows and a hard corner smash wind poor Riddle. A running elbow followed by a neck breaker wins it for ‘Boogie’ and he’s joined in the ring by a bunch of kids who dance and shake their asses in time to the music with their bearded hero. Winner: ‘Boogie Woogie Man’ Jimmy Valiant
2. ‘Bullet’ Bob Armstrong makes short work of ‘Wild’ Bill White,’ finishing him off with a knee lift. After the match, ‘The Bullet’ says he’s ready to take on all comers and that includes The Grappler, ‘that low down, dirty cheating son of a gun.’ Winner: ‘Bullet’ Bob Armstrong
A video package airs, showing Barry Windham at work and at play. The big man from Sweetwater, TX is seen hitting the iron in the gym, riding a horse and being massaged by two young beauties. He’s every inch a hunk and he drives the ladies wild! 3. Speaking of Windham, he’s in action next against Jack Hart. The rule-breaking youngster just can’t hang with the powerful Texan and Barry Windam hits a Sweetwater Lariat to pick up a very popular victory. Winner: Barry Windham The Sheepherders are interviewed at the commentary desk in response to the news that both JC Ice and Wolfie D (collectively known as PG-13) are on the shelf after the vile beat down they received at the hands of the terrible New Zealanders. Luke and Butch claim to be the ‘meanest, toughest, nastiest duo in wrestling today,’ and they are going to reveal a surprise next week when they introduce their new flag-bearer! 4. Sam Houston and Johnny Mantell put on an outstanding back and forth match that eventually ends when Houston catches his opponent with the bulldog. Mantell controls things for long periods, scoring near falls with a butterfly suplex and a Russian Leg Sweep. After the match, Houston offers Mantell a handshake, but Mantell does not oblige. Winner: Sam Houston
5. There’s a surprise appearance from ‘Dr Death’ Steve Williams next, who demolishes flabby, undersized jobber Mr X. Williams presses the masked man over his head before pulverising him with a football tackle. That was brutal. Winner: ‘Dr Death’ Steve Williams
6. The Grappler (accompanied by Tully Blanchard) makes heavy weather of defeating resilient Soul Train Jones, in fact it takes interference from Blanchard on the outside to take Jones down. Blanchard reaches through the ropes and blasts Jones with s set of brass knucks before The Grappler smashes him with a lariat. The youngster is out cold. After the match, Bob Armstrong confronts both Blanchard and Grappler and calls out the foul play but finds himself double teamed and beat down until Tommy and Doug Gilbert chase off the villainous duo. Armstrong is helped to the back, clutching his shoulder. Winner: The Grappler
Before tonight’s Main Event, we hear SECW Heavyweight Champion Jimmy Snuka and his manager, Sir Oliver Humperdink. Snuka is ready for DCW World’s Heavyweight Champion Harley Race and in Montgomery next week, he’s taking Race’s belt and as well as ending his career! 7. The Heavenly Bodies (Dr Tom Prichard & ‘Casanova’ Chris Candido) have answered the challenge of the Gilberts but may have wished they hadn’t as once again there’s confusion among the ranks as Prichard gets the team disqualified. Manager Tammy Sytch is furious with Prichard and despite pleading with his partner, he’s left standing alone in the ring as Tommy & Doug Gilbert celebrate. The Bodies need to get their act together! Winners: The Gilberts
Next up, it’s a big one at the Montgomery Civic Center as DCW World’s Heavyweight Champion Harley Race takes on SECW Champion Jimmy Snuka in a huge Main Event! The supporting card isn’t bad either as Brad Armstrong faces Tully Blanchard, Dr Death Steve Williams squares off against Bob Roop and Tag Champs The Sheepherders face the challenge of The Gilberts in a non-title encounter. Tickets are selling out, so get them fast!

SECW WRESTLING: CARD XIV (Civic Center, Montgomery, AL)
It’s a massive night in Montgomery as DCW World’s Heavyweight Champion, Harley Race puts his title on the line against South Eastern’s Heavyweight Champ Jimmy Snuka. There’s a stacked under card for this sold out show, so let’s get straight to the ring and join the action. 1. Popular veteran Les Thatcher completely out-wrestles cocky Rock Riddle, putting him away with a sunset flip after less than five minutes. Winner: Les Thatcher
2. ‘Boogie Woogie Man’ Jimmy Valiant gets the crowd excited as he shakes, claps and struts his way to the ring to face off against Johnny Mantell, but the ‘Boy from New York City’ is out of sorts and despite connecting with a running elbow early on, Mantell stuns him with a Russian Leg Sweep to pick up the upset victory. Winner: Johnny Mantell
3. Hot tag team action yet as the struggling Heavenly Bodies ( Dr. Tom Prichard & ‘Cassanova’ Chris Candido) look to get back to winning ways against the super over pairing of Barry Windham and Tracy Smothers. The Bodies start on the back foot and it takes a distraction from Tammy Sytch to save Candido from Smother’s running lariat. Candido is knocked silly and Sytch’s sass on the apron gives him much needed breathing space and time to tag in Prichard and the Bodies combine with a double suplex on Smothers to take control. The match is back and forth and when Prichard connects with an enziguri on Windham, at looks like it’s all over, however Windham kicks out and rallies, tossing both Prichard and Candido out of the ring. The Bodies come up short again when Windham connects with a huge lariat on Candido to end a fun tag team encounter. There’s no shame in losing to Smothers and Windham but that’s four straight defeats. Those tag titles seem a long way off… Winners: Barry Windham & Tracy Smothers
4. Bob Roop is unpopular with the fans here in Montgomery so they take great delight in seeing him absolutely dominated by the powerful ‘Dr Death’ Steve Williams. A pair of backdrop drivers and a Dr Bomb ends it early as Williams sends a message not only to Snuka, but also the visiting Harley Race. On this performance, they both should be a little worried. Winner: ‘Dr Death’ Steve Williams
5. A massive non-title match is up next as SECW Tag Team Champions The Sheepherders ( Luke Williams & Butch Miller) take on the impressive father-son duo of Tommy and Doug Gilbert. This one turns into an all-out war as both teams throw the rulebook right outta the ring! Predictably it’s the Sheepherders who take the leas with the shenanigans- nailing Doug Gilbert with a double clothesline on the concrete but a missed corner charge from Miller allows Tommy Gilbert to hit a perfect diving elbow to pick up the upset victory. The Gilberts will certainly be pushing for that title shot sooner rather than later. Winners: The Gilberts
6. Tully Blanchard always insights a chorus of boos wherever he goes, and tonight is no exception. Accompanied to the ring by The Grappler, the second-generation star takes on another second-generation competitor in the popular Brad Armstrong. Armstrong copes well with the ringside distraction early on and really takes the fight to Blanchard-hitting a two-handed bulldog for a near fall, however it’s The Grappler who swings the match in Blanchard’s favour after he slips something to his man who in turn blasts Armstrong, busting him wide open. Blanchard hits the slingshot suplex and picks up a lucky win against the game Armstrong. After the bell, Blanchard and Grappler lay the boots in to the downed Armstrong until ‘Bullet’ Bob Armstrong hits the ring, baseball bat in hand and send his son’s attackers scurrying to the dressing room. Bob helps a weary Brad to his feet and aides his walk back through the curtain to a chorus of cheers. Winner: Tully Blanchard
7. It’s Main Event time as Jimmy Snuka awaits Harley Race in the ring. Snuka cuts an imposing figure and with his manager, Sir Oliver Humperdink at ringside, he poses a real threat to Race’s World title, however Race controls Snuka with relative ease. Once Race gets Snuka down, he keeps him there- totally frustrating his opponent. Humperdink watches on helplessly, is attempts to distract Race are largely ineffective. A huge suplex and a pair of piledrivers finally put Snuka away. If Snuka can take anything from this match it’s that he absorbed a lot of punishment. Race holds on to his title and the fans go home happy after a fabulous, stacked card. Winner: Harley Race (DCW World’s Heavyweight Champion)
Next up, South Eastern returns to the Lavender Coliseum in Columbus, MS where fans can look forward to a Main Event that will see Brad Armstrong take on The Grappler. Also on the card, the Heavenly Bodies look to get back to winning ways against the pairing of Jimmy Valiant and Sam Houston. In addition, scheduled to appear are Tracy Smothers, Dr. Death Steve Williams and Tully Blanchard. Tickets still available. See you there!

SECW WRESTLING: CARD XV (Lavender Coliseum, Columbus, MS)
South Eastern Championship Wrestling returns to Columbus with a special appearance from the one and only Eight Wonder Of The World, Andre The Giant! It’s bound to be an explosive night as we hurtle towards the Christmas Classic in Birmingham next week! 1. In a hot opening encounter, the rebellious Tracy Smothers finds it surprisingly tough going against the durable and cocky youngster, Jack Hart. Hart has Smother’s shoulders down on a couple of occasions, showing his mat skills with a bridging suplex and his underhand smarts by executing a vicious knee to Smother’s back. However, its lights out for Hart as, out of nowhere, Smothers lands the jaw-jacker to keep his momentum in South Eastern strong. Winner: Tracy Smothers
2. ‘Dr Death’ Steve Williams faces a big match at the ‘Christmas Classic’ against Barry Windham which will determine the #1 contender to Jimmy Snuka’s Heavyweight crown. Tonight, he is merely tuning up as he crushes Johnny Mantell in a matter of minutes. The Oklahoma Stampede wins it. Winner: ‘Dr Death’ Steve Williams
3. The Heavenly Bodies ( Dr Tom Prichard & Chris Candido) have been on a huge slide since losing their Tag Team Titles to The Sheepherders and there seems to have been some tension between the pair, perhaps fueled by their manager, Tammy Sytch. Tonight, they manage to get on the same page to dispatch the pairing of ‘Boogie Woogie Man’ Jimmy Valiant and Sam Houston. The Baby faces start strong, but Houston finds himself in deep trouble and, despite the best efforts of Valiant, gets caught with the Blonde Bomb and it’s all over. The Columbus faithful boo as Candido and Prichard milk the much-needed victory. Winners: The Heavenly Bodies
4. Andre The Giant comes out to a chorus of cheers and delights the crowd during his handicap match against ‘Wild’ Bill white and Rock Riddle. White takes the fight to the French giant whilst Riddle mostly hides, but Andre is just too big and too strong, finally flattening White with a sit down splash. Riddle gets tossed over the ropes for good measure before a gang of children join Andre in the ring for a celebratory ‘ electric slide.’ Winner: Andre The Giant
5. A fantastic back- and forth encounter next as Tully Blanchard battles Les Thatcher. Thatcher is popular in these parts and he keeps Blanchard at bay with his ring know how and excellent mat work, but a miss-timed corner charge leaves him prone and a knee lift followed by a slingshot suplex enables Blanchard to secure a victory. Winner: Tully Blanchard
6. The Main Event of the evening sees white hot Brad Armstrong face the nefarious Grappler in singles action. Both Brad and his pa ‘Bullet’ Bob Armstrong have had their issues with The Grappler and his partner in crime, Tully Blanchard in recent weeks, but tonight it’s pretty much one-way traffic as Armstrong controls the bout from start to finish. The Grappler just can’t get going, and save for a few strong forearms, he spends most of the match begging off, before a high cross body catches him off guard and that’s all she wrote! Winner: Brad Armstrong
Next up is the big one as South Eastern returns to the Boutwell Auditorium for the ‘Christmas Classic.’ Top of the card sees The Armstrongs and Andre The Giant take on Jimmy Snuka, The Grappler and Tully Blanchard. Dr Death Steve Williams faces Barry Windham in singles action and The Sheepherders put their Tag Team Titles on the line against The Gilberts. It’s going to be a hot show, so don’t you dare miss it!
