With Kenny Omega's NJPW contract about to expire, where do you think he will sign?

It looks like Omega definitely won't be returning to NJPW as he said “There is no real place for me to fit, so it’s best for me not to be in (NJPW,) I can’t be there working under Tanahashi. I don’t think he’s surpassed me, don’t think he’s better. If we can, I want to face him again. But I need time away, and not just from New Japan.”

I suspect WWE but maybe AEW tries to break the bank with him.

I really feel like Omega missed the boat not signing with WWE a couple of years ago when his light seemed to be shining brightest. Since his run vs Okada, he's really become stale. Makes me think Okada was carrying him.

Makes me think Okada was carrying him. Omega reminds me of RVD in that he's a great athlete but not necessarily a great wrestler. He can have fantastic matches but needs someone to lead him, kind of like RVD's best matches were with Jerry Lynn.

If AEW wants to go beyond being ROH + special guests, they'll be hurt the most by NOT having Kenny Omega.

If AEW wants to go beyond being ROH + special guests, they'll be hurt the most by NOT having Kenny Omega. I think if AEW wants to go beyond being an Indy fed they need to make some splash signings from WWE. I don't mean guys like Zach Ryder, Ryback and Jack Swagger. I mean guys like Cena, Orton, Mysterio etc...legends who may be willing to make spot appearances and help get young fighters over. Cody is not a guy you can build a real fed around, and I am not sold that Omega is either. However it may turn out that AEW will try to compete with NXT, instead trying to sign Indy guys away from HHH.

I read somewhere that AEW was going to be throwing out some good $ for guys, so my money is on AEW.

Tanahashi comes off like a legit star, like Cena. Omega has always appeared more like a supporting character in NJPW - like an ROH guy trying to get over in Japan. I might be explaining my feelings incorrectly but Tanahashi has appeared to be the bigger star. If these are Kenny’s true real life feelings then I think he’s showing a weakness here in his personality. You can’t improve if you already think you’re the best. And Omega has been pretty stale since his Okada series. Maybe this attitude explains why. I rate Tanahashi, Okada and Naito all above Omega.

I would say Omega is the one guy who gotten considerably worse in 2018. Like if there was an opposite of Most Improved. Most Disappointing Wrester of the Year. I think Okada helped him look like a bigger star than he is. Or maybe hanging out with Cody and the Bullet Club brought him down. Maybe he gets inspired again in WWE? He reminds me of a poor mans Jericho (without the personality) when Jericho was jumping to the WWE.
