Added to the Legendary Stars Library under the Ricky Steamboat Folder: Ricky Steamboat & Jay Youngblood vs Sgt. Slaughter & Don Kernodle 3/12/83This was from Jim Crockett Promotions at the Greensboro Coliseum. NWA World Tag Team Champions Slaughter & Kernodle put their titles on the line against the careers of their challengers. While he was unspectacular from a look and charisma standpoint...Don Kernodle was a solid hand who found consistent success as a tag worker. Over a five year period Ricky Steamboat and Jay Youngblood held this version of the World Tag Titles on five separate occasions and can be credibly labeled a legacy team. This is regarded as one of the most renowned matches in the impressive history of JCP.

Added to the International Legends Library under the Tatsumi Fujinami Folder: Tatsumi Fujinami vs Dynamite Kid 2/15/80This was from New Japan. WWWF Junior Heavyweight Champion Tatsumi Fujinami defends against challenger The Dynamite Kid. This was a bit before his legendary series with Tiger Mask...but Billington is seen near his peak and shows shades of things to come. TF was a classic 'Karl Gotch Style' technician and always gelled well with the right opponent. Solid match featuring two legends at formative stages. Make note of DK's size at the time. * For history buffs the WWWF Junior Heavyweight Title was originally created in '67 as a promotional vehicle for Jumping Johnny De Fazio. JJDF was popular and very influential behind the scenes in the then crucial PA market. He had multiple runs with the belt over the years and when he finally 'retired the belt' it was converted into a 'prestige gift' from Vince Sr. to Antonio Inoki in the spirit of their working agreement. From '78 up until the National Expansion of '85 (which was when VKM broke all ties with other promoters) New Japan used the title as a credibility builder to help get over their smaller sized wrestlers domestically and as a 'prop' for NJPW stars doing tours in the WWWF Market.

Added to the Legendary Stars Library under the Lex Luger Folder: Lex Luger vs Ricky Steamboat 7/23/89 This was from WCW at their annual Great American Bash PPV. Ricky Steamboat had recently come off a stint as WCW World Champion and was settling into a semi-main position. Lex Luger was in his perennial spot of 'being groomed' as a future front man. While it has become popular in recent years to criticize Luger...he was a hard worker with a crisp arsenal of power moves and and when opposite someone the caliber of Steamboat he played his role well. This was one of his best matches.
