Great report, Vegas! Stoked for another signing. Super cool that Mox was there to intro Cody Hawk. I know WWE tried to play it off that Ambrose had lost the spark to wrestle and that he was going to be doing something else, but it's obvious that's not the case. The video he posted on Twitter last night was fire and yes, the fact that he used Twitter is also hilarious considering his one tweet as Ambrose...)

So happy to hear that there's a couple LOW signings coming out of the CAC!

Just got home from the CAC earlier this evening. Went straight from the airport to my son's Little League game, where we won 13-2. Vegas has done an excellent recap of events, so I'll just mention a few other things.
Emily and I landed around 2:30 pm Sunday. Got settled and met Zeke over at Ellis Island Brewing, as he mentioned. Good place, good beers. Went back for the Sunday indy show, which amazingly ended around 8:30 pm. (These shows tend to go between 3-4 hours!) The rest of the Iowa crew arrived around 9:30 pm, and beers were drank!
On Monday, we set up the vendor table for the Tragos/Thesz Hall of Fame weekend, July 25-27, in Waterloo, IA. Visited with some folks I've met over the years at the CAC, and went to the Red Zone that afternoon for a 6:05 Super Podcast meet up. Then we went to the second night of the indy show, where three of the IPW crew wrestled in a three way match. That show clocked in around four hours before I tapped out, and a few more beers were located.
Tuesday a few of us went to the Paris Hotel breakfast buffet, where they had a bacon carving station. Angels sing with every bite! After the Bockwinkel Baloney Blowout, we all ventured to Fremont Street for more ridiculousness.
Wednesday the banquet and awards ceremony went really long, clocking in at 4 hours. Said goodbyes to Zeke (an honorary Iowan!) after the banquet and called it an early night.
Total signings were only 3 confirmed, but I also got 3 contacts, 2 of which are huge! Hopefully the deal can be closed on those soon.
Everyone should try to check out the CAC sometime, it's a fun few days! It was great to see Zeke and Tim again.

Here is the video of Dean Ambrose (again that is how he was announced) on Tuesday night at the CAC introducing his trainer Cody Hawk before Cody Hawk received the Trainer Award:

IMO, one of them is even bigger than Stan Hansen. I did not do a recap of Night 4 because the dinner and awards ceremony went really late (only slept 4 hours last night before waking up to go to work this morning.) I think I enjoyed David Schultz's speech the most last night. Mark Henry IMO also had a really good speech. Next year for sure I am going to take at least 1 if not 2 sick days for the CAC so I can also enjoy the daytime seminars (this year there was an AWA seminar I really wanted to attend) and such. I really like the CAC and truly 100% believe in and support what the CAC is all about. For example, last night at the dinner/awards ceremony, CAC President B. Brian Blair announced that Kamala (who gave a message to those in attendance via video) was in danger of losing his home but the CAC made sure Kamala not only got to keep his home but will also never have to worry about losing his home ever again. The CAC was a fun 4 nights as usual and it was great to see 2 of my best friends in this community again in Chad Olson and Tim Dalton!

Really cool news. Doubt I'll ever make it to CAC (though I hope to make it to the HOF in Iowa someday) but always enjoy hearing the good times and fingers crossed for the big signings.

Chad did pretty much all the LOW recruiting this year, as I was playing cribbage a lot longer than anticipated this year. Job well done. I need to follow up on a couple potential contacts as well. Kurt Beyer won the annual Destroyer Cribbage Tournament, which is some big time karma. I took 4th place and was the only person who took Kurt to a third game (each match was best of three). Had a great time with the Iowa (and quasi-Iowa) crew and enjoyed spending some time hanging out with the Beyers. Once Destroyer Park Golf opens for the season, I'll be seeing a lot more of them. Other than the banquet going too long, it was a great event.

Chad Even if it's ONLY 3 signings, thank you! 3 signings from one single week honestly sounds like a really great thing to this LOW fan. A couple years ago it sounded like it had gotten REALLY tough to get new signings and now we're getting guys like Stan Hansen, Barry Windham and the RNR Express. Thank you guys for all your work in getting us new signings and representing the game at events like this. I'm glad you guys had a great time! I'd love to attend this and/or the Tragos/Thesz HOF someday.

I know he probably isn't a massive draw but I'm sure there's plenty of promoters that would love to have him in the game.
